A few fun facts about this place.
1. Although it says Breckenridge Brewery on the sign, you're in LoDo. In fact right across from Coors Field of all places.
2. This place is packed before and after Rockies games ... You can walk 2 minutes and be in the stadium.
If you're not afraid of big crowds and enjoy good beer, check this place out. For darks, the oatmeal stout and vanilla porter and very tasty. I also enjoy the agave wheat when I'm feeling a little lighter. This place makes good beer and you're not too far from the source. The food is typical bar food, I've never been disappointed but never blown away either. Drop by before or after the game and try a draft beer, you'll be glad you did. -

Hmmmm, this place is interesting. Stopped by here last weekend while showing out of towners all that Denver has to offer (i.e. beer) and it was alright but I wasn't blown out of the water. My homegirl Siri led us here and I didn't realize it was right in LoDo across the street from Coors Field. We went during the game so it was pretty slow but as the Rockies continued to strike out, the crowd grew and grew inside.
We sat at one of the tables and the server was nice but we soon learned that they don't do flights of beers on game days---boo! To make up for it they do do tasters of Breck beers so that was a little comforting and I dig a few of heir beers so tasters it was then move onto the big league of pints. The beer was yummy but the vibe of this place was just off, it didn't feel inviting like other breweries in the area and kind of without soul. Just weird. -

The beer is good. Thunder stout is the oatmeal stout on nitro. The 471 IPA is hoppyness I'd say.
It's game night and they don't serve samplers so I'm stuck with pints. Oh the bad luck ;-)
This place reminds me of a ski lodge. Makes sense for the name. There is no brewing paraphernalia at this location. It is a fairly large restaurant with a bar. So my mission here in denver is to drink great beer and eat good food at as many breweries as possible.
Ok, I had the ribs and they were tender falling off the bone good that rivals me neighbors. These were rubbed ribbs with Just a touch of spice. Served with sweet corn tamale. Good, eh?
These ribs were almost the way I like them. I would use less bbq sauce and a bit more spicy.
Their score reflects it not being a brewery (this local), great beer, and good food. Tonight I'd say my mission was still accomplished even with a small technicality. -

Do you know what happens when a bar golf group meets up with a birthday party where everyone has to wear an animal costume?
Would you like to?
Especially when to get an eagle in bar golf your group must do a lap while riding a pool cue?
Particularly when the place doesn't have a pool table?
You get girls in golf outfits riding guys in chicken outfits over and over and over again.
It's pretty bad ass. I highly recommend it.
Anyway, Breck Brewery is a nice joint, they've got great beers and solid food.Listed in: Seriously! I drink this much?

Touring Denver aimlessly, wanting to do a gratuitous walk around Coors Field, I thought I would duck into Breckenridge for a brew.
I agree with the others on Yelp that this place is a little hollow. Granted, it was the baseball off season and I can imagine that one game day, this play is packed with a bunch of black and purple. But on this February Friday night, the lack of heads and cheesy gift shop was a bit more obvious.
The food was typical pub grub and the beer was your average micro affair.
1 point for brewing their own beer
1 point for having a special pint/jim beam shot for a few bucks
All in all, Breckenridge is an ____insert your downtown brewery here _____ type of establishment. Hope to check it out on game some day....
Oh, and GO GIANTS! -

Visiting Denver and this place was in walking distance to the baseball field. Food was good, but I'm sure it's the beer that draws the crowds (I'm not a beer drinker).

Review from Mark E.
This place was a huge disappointment. Their beer is good, but this place feels like a corporate sports bar, which is pretty much what it is.
Really, this is just a place for the baseball crowds from Coors Field to pack themselves in and load up on, admittedly good, beer and fried cheese before a game, so if that's you, enjoy yourself.
If you're looking for an intimate brewery setting, this is not it.
Grab a six pack of the Vanilla Porter at the store and enjoy it is your hotel room. It will be less depressing than sitting at this bar/gift shop. -

Cavernous interior -- ready for ballpark crowds (Coors Field is across the street), but without which, zero atmosphere. The place smelled like restroom air freshener. Nondescript warehouse-y decor with standard-issue Applebee's seating. Plastic water cups, beat-up restroom. Some TVs of varying quality around.
The burgers and fries were decent; luckily I finished eating those before I noticed the eyelash under my pickle wedge. The nitro stout was very tasty...
Service was average-to-below. Generally a very down-market experience. There are lots of brewpubs in LoDo; find a different one. -

We had several items come to our table prepared incorrectly, but our server handled all the mishaps admirably. We weren't even going to tell him about the last one (wrong brownie for our sundae), but he asked us specifically about the brownie. We felt sorry for the guy.
The lamb burger was very good, and I'd recommend it. I don't remember any of the rest of the food being very special. The beers were also not very exciting. -

Breckenridge Brew Pub was one of my favorite parts about my recent trip to Colorado. The beer is awesome. I had the Pandora's Bock and then got a flight of all the beers on tap. I don't like super hoppy beers, so the IPA wasn'y my favorite. However, none of the samples were bad. They all were unique in flavor and had great qualities about them. Along with Pandora's Bock, the amber and the wheat beer were my favorites.
For dinner we split the chips and guacamole, sausage and cheese platter, and the pork carnitas. The guacamole tasted fresh and awesome. The sausage and cheese platter was great. I love that they make the dipping sauces with their beer. Very unique and tasty. The carnitas were also good. Very tender and flavorful.
The also have big TVs plastered everywhere, so you can catch the game.
Great service. Great food. Great beer. Great environment. What more could you want.

Just footsteps from my place, Breckenridge is a great neighborhood bar. Despite the huge space, it manages to keep a nice energy and atmosphere during quiet evenigs with some sports on TV, friendly bartenders and crowd, and a game of pool
The beers are excellent and bar food very good. My all time favourite is the chicken quesadilla, but the burgers and everything I've tried from the menu is really good -

What I had? Ale-Battered Fish (Cod fillets dipped in our Pale Ale Batter then deep fried. Had garden salad, creamy cole slaw and roasted poblano tartar sauce)
Food review: I get a lot of crap for the reason I really like coming here but I can't help it. The number one reason to come to this breckenridge brewery is for their amazing creamy coleslaw! I don't know what it is but red onions in your standard creamy coleslaw is such an amazing combination. Yumm! Anyway, the fish "that comes with" the coleslaw is pretty good as well.
Service? No complaints -

I'm actually not a huge fan of the food at this location compared to the others, but the beer is good and the happy hour prices are awesome. And it's conveniently located!

The hummus was a little different - lots of red-pepper flavor. The bar food was delicious. The shots were a little on the small side, but delicious. We had the beer flight and were pleased with the freshness and flavor of all of the brews.

Review from John H.
I had doubts about Breckenridge Brewery both before going and when I first walked into this bar. I'd only had their vanilla porter before, and I'd found the vanilla taste to be overpowering. I didn't have much hope for their other beers, and I didn't have much hope for the bar itself, either. Warehouse. It's got to be big with the ballpark right across the street, but the warehouse bar is rarely going to come through.
My Denver friends were insistent, though, and I ended up being very happily proven wrong. Unless I'm in an Irish pub with a good Guinness tap and bartender at hand, I tend to sample different beers when I'm out. Breckenridge made that really easy, as you have the option of ordering a smaller size glass--I think it was ten ounces. This is a nice route for sampling their many beers without getting completely out of hand. Eventually I managed to do this anyway, though.
Excellent service, and a medium rare bison burger for dinner, because it seemed like the right thing to order. -

A small list of things to know about Breckenridge Brewery:
1. The beer is good
2. They'll give you shots of Leopold Bros whiskey. (This is delicious if you didn't know.)
3.It is a really big space. I mean huge. So this means it can be good if you have a large group.
4. Somehow it still manages to get overwhelmingly crowded.
5. They serve food which is nice to soak up all that booze.
6. The have one of those arcade games where you can choose from a myriad of old school games. Don't get fronted by the Ms. Pac-Man like I did. It's the slow version. Boo.
All in all I think Breck Brewery is an okay spot just like the 3 star rating denotes, but I'm never in a rush to hang out here. -
Review from Sara P.
This location of Breckenridge Brewery is okay...Service was kind of slow. I wish they brought water with the beers. The Lucky U IPA was...alright. Nothing to write home about. The scene was a bit fratty. The upside about this place is that it is very large, so you can easily come here with a group, and I think most people in the group would be satisfied. There are a few games along the walls, like arcade games and darts.

Walking distance from coors field... so you can pre or post game without getting in a car!
Last week I went her with some locals before the Rockies Game. Great service, good finger foods for cheap (we had the fish and chips basket (and yes... they have malt vinegar on the table - THANK YOU GOD!) and the wings. The wings were ok. Typical bar food. But they had great prices and some wonderful local brewed beers. I enjoyed a dark amber of some sort, and it set the tone for a wonderful night with the girls. Yay!
(Speaking of "the girls", above I meant my two friends who went with me. But, some dude at the Rockies game did bee line it for me and ask about my other "girls"... my bra size in fact. He was obviously a boob man. But, it made for a great laugh! And, in case you are wondering, despite the fact that he was tall dark and handsome, no... he did not get my number! =p Note to the fellas... don't lead with questioning a girl about her girls.). -

I love the beer but not the pub.
Perhaps back in the day the Breckenridge Brewery Ballpark Pub was a neat place to go but to me, it feels like nothing better than a tired sports bar. I'm giving it an extra star here only because I haven't tried the food which, who knows, might be its saving grace.
The brewery portion of the original design was removed to accomodate more people. With that gone, there's nothing really special about this place, other than some exaggerated emotions of BB fans. -

When you yelp "Denver , downtown, brewery's," this one comes up as one of them to try. So, we started the tour of the brewery pubs here. Walking in the place looked promising, a bar with plenty of beer behind it.
The staff was coo to talk to and we were greeted well. We made our way to the bar and ordered the IPA which was good but more of an after taste then most but still good. We made our way thru three beers and each was good but not going to win any medals.
The beer is stored far from the bar and pumped in overhead, so we went to look at the area. It was clean but looked like the secondary storage area for things that are broken, and there were a few things broken in the place!
The pool table sits on a slightly elevated space and is not functional. My friend almost killed himself because all the safety railing is gone, and there's a 2 inch step around it - how does more drunks NOT kill themselves?
The atmosphere is wide open and inviting. This place mus be a blast during football or baseball season as it reminds me of a place where octoberfests might be held.
Good place to come too, perhaps it could get a 1/2 star more, but there's other livelier places with music, and better TVs with better shows on them. I would definitely go back. -

Another lousy experience, but I was forced to return here to meet a co-worker. On a Friday mid-afternoon, the bar tender, who was lost in conversation with one customer for the entire time I was there, barely provided service. I had to beg for a menu, and never got one. I wrangled one from an obliging customer.
An absurd moment occurred later when a manager came up behind the bar, and the bartender thought he better look attentive, and came up and asked if my food was Ok, when there was literally two bites left on my plate! But even if I decided to answer, I could not because he turned his back and left.without knowing. Thanks for the deep concern and dedication to customer satisfaction. Honestly why work for tips if you are this disengaged??
The beer was good, the food average, but the service here is horrible.Listed in: Livin 'Large in LoDo

I had such a good time at this bar! For starters we ordered the sampler which includes eight different types of beer in small glasses. I really liked the Vanilla porter, but my brother didn't so I guess it all depends on your taste. He liked the Agave, which I thought was good too.
We started out with nachos and buffalo wings. OH MAN, THE NACHOS WERE SOOOO GOOD. I highly recommend it!! Oh man, I can't even being to describe it. You just HAVE to go there and try it!!! THe buffalo wings were okay. I've had better.
For dinner I ordered the cajun chicken sandwhich which was grilled chicken breast with spicy cajun sauce, onion rings, vegetables and cheese that came with a salad (you can choose between that, fries, or soup). It was really good! Not as spicy as I thought it would be tho, but still very delicious. My brother had the ribs. I would highly recommend that! The meat was literally just slipping off of the bone. IT also came with coleslaw and a tamale which were both REALLY delicious! I kept picking off of his plate. lol My mom got the ribs meat sandwich with fries. It wasn't anything special really. The fries were nice and crispy and tasted really good as well.
The ambiance was great. The service was on point and the crowd was good for a Thursday night. I highly recommend the place and I would definitely go back another night. -

Hands down, the best brewery I've been to here in Colorado. I might as well get frequent flier miles from how much BB beer I go through. *insert closest AA location here*.
If you're a fan of local beer, I would most definitely look into BB. If you like ambers, they've got multiple for you, if you like browns, the Ballpark Brown is great, if you like IPA, their smallbatch 471 Double IPA with an alc content of 9.2% is hoppier than anything you'll ever have. If you're not a huge fan of beer or prefer your beers light and sweet, try taking the Agave Wheat for a spin. It tastes like a fermented mixture of honey and orange juice.
My two favorites would have to be the Avalanche and their Irish Red. Malty, smooth, and next to no bite.
They've got a great selection of food as well, and their bison burgers are definitely something to look into.
I've never had bad service there in the slightest. Service is always prompt, polite, and amiable.
I like to head over there before the Rockies homegames and catch a few beers at a fraction of the cost of what they sell them in the park. It's a block away from Coors Field and they usually have gameday pricing for cheaper pints between the 3rd-7th inning.
They also have a beer of the day off their mainline offerings for $3 a pint. If you're skittish about spending $4 a pint, it's understandable as you can get cheaper elsewhere. However, for local beer of this caliber I feel that it's well worth it. -
Review from Kelly T.
I love me some Breck Brew beers! They always taste better when they come from the Breck Brewery itself. Now, I know this isn't the place where they actually brew the beer, but it's got to be one of the first stops the brewery delivers to, right?
Of course, after a baseball game, I opt to buy a six pack at a liquor store rather than venture in here. It gets crowded. With a capital CROWD. The food is alright and if you go when it's not game day, you get pretty good service and there is a TON of space to choose where you want to sit.
Because of the amount of space, they are really great at working to host events, such as tweetups. I've been to a few of those here and they did a great job pulling it off. -

This was the first restaurant we tried in the Denver area, and we decided to do a brewery since, hey, this is Colorado! So-so....
I really wasn't a fan of their beers, especially the 471 IPA. It's extremely hoppy, which isn't my sort of thing. If you're into IPAs then give it a try, but I will never touch that stuff again. I recommend the Avalanche Ale. It's an amber and damn good.
I ordered a bison burger which was pretty good. Nothing really to get excited about but I enjoyed the meal.
Our waiter was super friendly, and he knew the menu and beers inside-out. Very very knowledgeable. -

Not bad but not great. Beer tastes great! But everything else was just dirty. It seemed like Chuckie Cheese's attempt at a Brew Pub. The food was good but kinda screamed "Syco products sold here".

The first thing I notice...they charge more for a beer on nitrotap then on regular tap. Big no no in my opinion.
Anyway, I went here on Easter. Nothing says Easter Sunday then a cold brew and some hot wings. The wings here are really good but the rest of the menu is only okay. Nothing worth coming back for.
As far as beer is concerned, Breckenridge Beer is either a hit or miss. Some beers taste a bit "bland" while others are pretty good. Just comes down to your taste.
Go here for the beer, but don't expect much else. -

I'm conflicted so I am forced to rate food, beer, service and overall separately.
Food-3. Jeff and I did our typical get two burgers and share. Lamb and buffalo were good. Lamb especially had great flavor. Sweet pot fries good.
Beer- 3 overall. I will however say that if you love big hops get 471. I would give it 3.5 maybe 4. It is delicious. If you order a second...call a cab.
Service-2.5. They had a gluten free menu which was appreciated by a member of our party. Two of the burgers came out overcooked, not ours. Waiter wouldn't separate checks which was a pain. He also wasn't overly into answering questions about the menu or beers. I am huge on recommendations so I appreciate someone who is willing to take a minute and explain. He didn't steal my iPad when I left it on the table...so that was good.
Atmosphere is just fine. -
Review from Brian K.
Breckenridge doesn't brew bad beer; rather, it's just not my brewery in terms of preference.
The beer has personality (I ordered tasters for the entire line-up) but I think it's medium at best. Their beers lack the extra "omph" to give it a world-renowed rating. I liked their Porter so I finished up with a pint of it.
The place was deserted on a Sunday morning (~10:30). Two guys were at the bar and when I went to the restroom, I saw 2-3 tables filled.
This is a place to hang-out rather than coming strictly for great beer (if you want just that, go to Great Divide). -
Review from Rachel C.
Came for a "Livestrong" get-together, so it wasn't just a visit to my local brewery/pub. Service was good, food was good, vanilla porter was excellent!
Good location. I'm sure after a game it is impossible to get a seat; but we were there from 5:30 - 7:00 so, although not empty, there were plenty of seats.
I'll be back for the vanilla porter again, if nothing else. -
Review from Doug C.
Great sports bar and brewery.
During a recent trip to Colorado, ended up stopping here twice and neither time disappointed. The sports bar part is a pretty nice set up: there's a slightly elevated level just to the side of the entrance with the bar, and a number of side tables with a surprising amount of room. A number of bars can be narrow and walking across the room to get a round can be similar to entering a local Toughman contest. Not here. Plus there's a good view of multiple TV screens from almost every spot around the bar. For those less interested in the games, there are a number of spacious tables and booths down on the floor portion of the establishment. Obviously fantastic location right across from Coors Field.
The staff was quick and the bartender (Pete) was great. Nice mix of friendliness, good stories, efficiently changing the TV channel as a game ends (so you're not stuck watching 10 minutes of a "Yes, Dear" re-run without sound). He was also great in breaking out multiple samples of the beers without even being asked. I ended up trying most, if not all, of the beers on tap and my awards go as follows:
Gold Medal: Vanilla Porter. Just be warned, this is a fairly heavy drink and it takes a little while to taste other beers afterwards. Maybe try this one last if you're sampling.
Silver Medal: 2220 Red Ale. The best of the ales.
Bronze Medal: Mighty Brown. At first I wasn't enamored, but after a few, this moved up in the standings.
As for the food, we didn't try a lot of it. Mostly the appetizers (nachos and chili fries) were at least average to above average for the usual bar fare. There were some interesting items on the menu, but those might have to wait for a return trip..... -

Hands down my favorite sports bar in Denver. My husband and I are regulars, and now that I'm pregnant we still go but not as frequently. Their beers are the best I've had of the local brewers - especially their summer brew, Summerbright. I am going to miss that like crazy this summer!
The food is not a disappointment either. Normally we'll just sit at the bar and share a chicken nachos platter, but occasionally we'll each get a meal. My favorite is the pulled pork, but the portabello chicken sandwich is a close second. My husband loves the brisket sandwich.
The staff is great - granted we are there rather frequently and have developed a rapport with them, but they are knowledgable about their beers and are always recommending others. I am not a dark beer fan, but Sarah, one of the bartenders, turned me on to both the Autumn and Christmas Ales. Both are incredibly flavorful.
You can't go wrong with their beers, nor with their food. A great place before or after the game, or just to hang out and watch sports on a quiet Sunday -

I have enjoyed Breckenridge Brewery on many occasions. The service has always been pretty good. The food has always been above average to good. I like red beer, so the Avalanche Ale and 2220 Red Ale are my favorites of their small batch brews.
They offer typical pub sandwich's and burgers. In addition to steaks, fish, shrimp, and Mexican dishes.
I have had their Chili Relleno's, Cheese Enchiladas, and their Fish and Chips and buffalo wings (years ago, before I went vegetarian). All have been pretty good.
But best of all... the Portabella Mushroom sandwich. One of the best I have ever had. Now comes the problem... they dont have the Portabella on the menu any more. I am not sure why, because it was outstanding. The last time I was there, the waiter told me that even though it was not on the menu, they still have portabella's in the kitchen. So he was nice enough to get me a customized portabella sandwich. That was good service, and got a nice tip accordingly.
If you are a meat eater they also offer several buffalo burgers.
I have never had a bad experience here and would highly recommend this place.Listed in: Brew Pubs

Last night we decided to take our friends from Hawaii here for dinner. All we wanted was a TV and some decent bar food! We got that!
We all got different beers and split entrees. The beers were great and served nice and cold. We started out with a small nacho ... HUGE if we would have got the large we may not have eaten our dinners! The entrees came out and were pretty good..I wish I would have gotten the fried mac and cheese app though... that sounds lovely
Our server was on top of it which was really nice.
We got a free birthday cheesecake. paid our bill and were out! Nothing stood out. It was just fine. -

This was the first stop on my Birthday Brewery mini-tour. I've had most of their beers at some point, but it was good to do an actual tasting of 6 of them. The bartender was nice enough to let me substitute the stout for Pandora's Bock (which is amazing, btw). I also really like the Avalanche Ale and the Hefe Weizen.
I can't comment on the food, because I only had 1 bite of the chili cheese fries, but their grilled cheese sandwich did look pretty damn tasty. It was still Happy Hour when we went, so all pints were only $3 ($1 off).
I really dig a handful of their beers here, which is hard to do at one brewery. It's a great place to bring out of town guests, or just to hang out with friends and watch a game, while drinking some very yummy beer. -

If visiting downtown Denver, this is a good call for meeting up with the group after work for drinks and dinner. They have a good selection of brews to sample. The food selection should satisfy most in your party and the service is pretty on the ball.
Just up the street from Coors Field, so would be a good stop before or after the game a well.Listed in: Breweries......Micro, Craft…

Came here to meet few friends after the game, and this place was fairly crowded, although, they only had probably one server for the whole brewery. To get a beer there was pretty fast, but to get attention to get some menus, took a while, and when I got server's attention, it was close to 11pm but their kitchen was closed already.
Interior is pretty cool, they have several beers they they brew, few screens to watch a game...
This is just another chain...
