Breathe is a community first, and second is a yoga studio, spa, (with acupuncture!!), restaurant, and retail store. Seriously? How do they do it all and not lose quality in any area? They literally live and "breathe" this place and it shows.
If you love yoga this is your spot. Well trained teachers who are personable and inviting.
If you don't love yoga (are you crazy?) this is your spot. Hang out for some fresh whole foods and some great reading suggestions or consult with a dietician. We all can learn more about nutrition right?
If you aren't into your diet you might love shopping and skin care. They don't just sell yoga clothes! Great jeans, tops, sweaters, and don't miss out on their t-shirt line!
Everyone there is loving and caring. The girls behind the scene are out to serve you and your community through health and education. You would be silly to pass by here and not stop in for some nurturing and nourishing. -

This place is a gem!
I took a power vinasya class with Mary and Erica (assisting), and it was wonderful. Cuing was perfectly timed, I got a great workout, and both teachers were very approachable and pleasant. I'm definitely coming back for more!
This studio takes a bit of navigating when you're new so, here are the tips I learned:
- Parking can be tough (arrive early!), but I believe it's all free.
- The studio is located in a cute shop and juice bar. Walk through the shop and pay for the class at the juice bar register. They'll give you a pebble that you'll take up the spiral staircase to the classroom and place next to your mat to show you paid (they collect these during/before class). There are no lockers - just coat hooks/shoe rack - so either bring less stuff or take some upstairs with you. -

Great yoga studio in Pittsford. The downstairs area has a "spa-like" part to it with rooms for massage and acupuncture, a juice/food bar with delicious (and expensive) healthy drinks and meals and an awesome clothing and yoga store. Although their yoga apparel and "supplies" are quite extensive, they also have great everyday clothing. Go up the spiral staircase and you are in the studio. The studio looks out onto the roof courtyard - I love being able to see outside when I practice!
As far as I know, the classes are only "hot yoga" classes. Be sure to hydrate before and during your practice. -

Breathe made me love Yoga. I was a sedentary, now I can't live without Yoga for one day. I've been in many yoga classes. There was not a single one that can connect my mind and body. At Breathe, real yoga practice will help your body and soul.
Their 40 days program really transformed me.
They also have program for Yoga in Mexico for few days. It sounds awesome. -

This is the upscale, be-seen-here yoga place in Rochester, and quite possibly the most expensive place to practice in the area. The classes I've practiced in have been great--informative, supportive, relaxed and challenging.
The clothes they sell you will need a mortgage to afford, and the food is exactly what you'd expect from the priciest yoga studio in town--you have to like that kind of thing i guess.
For yoga alone (my intentions) it's a great place if you can afford it. -

Very nice place and pleasant people. Too expensive, though.

Cali comes to Rochester.
Breathe is a beautiful yoga studio, juice bar and retail.
Although a little pricey on the retail, the true gem of this place -- yoga and yoga instructors. My sis goes religiously and when I was back in town, I went to a Hatha class that was just fantastic. The instructor was so well informed and the class just whizzed by.
Try some of the elixir teas when you are done with your session and grab a seat by the juice bar. Seating is limited to 3 tables, but I've never found the tables to be all taken. People are pretty friendly and just ask to share a table.
You will find all sorts of great clothing, jewelry and cosmetics as well. There is enough stuff to keep you coming and browsing. Lululemon clothing, Arcona facial creams and potions, and of course the Energy Muse trinkets for your neck and wrists. I'm a little bit of a cheap-skate so I just browse A LOT. :)
Ommmmm. Enjoy your sessions at Breathe. -

Cute cute clothes - especially the Gold Hawk and Hadley Pollet stuff. Some of the staff kinda bugs, though.

I should be writing about how fab the yoga is here (which it absolutely is) and I should be writing about what a great selection of clothes they have (they do), but the food here really captured my heart. I kid you not, the roasted red pepper hummus here is perhaps the best I've ever had in my life. My mom, sister and I demolition derby-ed it in oh, 13 minutes. And then we wanted more. But we had already gotten in the car for a 6 hour car trip. And let me tell you, the rest of that car trip was less than pleasurable. You can procure this delicious crack in a standard sized hummus container or in a wrap with tomato and microgreens. If you are me, you get both (or both x2). Oh, and they carry cookies from this place called Wow Bakery that makes a MEAN ginger molasses cookie (with nice big chunks of crystallized ginger, thankyouverymuch). In order to avoid car passenger mutiny, you should also buy at least 3 cookies per head. You can thank me later.
