I finally found it - a great, consistent, hot yoga studio!
I've been trying to find a regular hot yoga studio, and after my tasty-but-very-fatty mac and cheese challenge, I stepped up my game to get back in shape. I love working out, but adding yoga to the mix makes my workouts so much more powerful and my muscle tone much more defined (especially in the core).
Reasons I love Breathe Hot Yoga:
1. The room is super big, clean, and well lit - enough said
2. Zoned heating - what can I say, some days I can take the heat, some days I need to get out of the kitchen
3. Instructors help you grow - they make corrections but genuinely because they want to help you get better at your practice, not just being a yoga nazi
4. Teaching method is consistent with all instructors - Even though each instructor has their own way of teaching, the method is consistent so I feel like I'm growing in my practice.
5. Good times / different lengths - some days I have more time than others, so the fact they have 45 min, 60 min, and 90 min classes is really helpful for me
Only thing is - hot yoga is expensive! Yikes! But really, all studios are expensive so you might as well be paying for a good one. And this one is a winner! -
Review from Cat A.
I'm writing this review with comparison to BIKRAM hot yoga studios. Hopefully this review can help other ex-Bikrams make the decision to find a hot yoga studio that isn't overpriced or completely off the map. I used to be an avid fanatic of Bikram for about a year until I realized that my expensive habit wasn't worth sacrificing grocery shopping. I stopped Bikram because I just couldn't handle their outrageous prices. The worst thing of Bikram Yoga is Mr. Bikram himself. Once a man worth looking up to, he now only caters to Hollywood celebrities, and prances around in superficial flashy jewelry and travels via private jet to only spend his money he steals from all of us hard workers.
At Breathe Hot Yoga, their poses are quite comparable to Bikram. Almost all poses are the same, with the exception of switching a few poses, probably to prevent Bikram from suing them. Their yoga instructors vary, depending on how yoga-fied the teacher is. They all want you to push yourself, and some instructors do it more than others, which can either piss people off or make you grateful for their tough love motivation. Their floors are NOT carpet, unlike Bikram studios. Their floors are made with an easy-to-clean anti-bacterial flooring. They have showers, and a spacious area for changing and the studio is safe because they always lock the studio when class is in session. Also, while I've only gone to classes in the morning and noontime, they were TINY. So much space. Didn't have to worry about staring at someones crotch or my arm touching someone's arm pit. *fist pump*
Maybe I'm just out of it, but I can't handle the 90 minute sessions anymore. After the sitting chair pose, I'm already counting the poses down until the blessed phrase, 'Namaste' is said before the class is done.
This is where the 60 minute sessions come in. Originally meant for corporate wokers to get their hot yoga on during their break, it has become a safe haven for those who can't handle the heat for more than 90 minutes. Speaking of heat, the heat ISN'T like the bikram regular 95 degrees. It's a bit lower at Breathe, and if you want it lower, sit towards the back of the studio. I'm a heat junkie, so I always found myself at the front next to the heater.
They have a good deal where you can have unlimited weekday yoga sessions before 4 and after 7:30 for CHEAP. Never seen this price before! Trick is you have to sign up minimum of 3 months. But that is probably the best deal I've ever seen.
If your too broke for Bikram Yoga, but miss it so much yet have too much pride to succomb to Bikram's power, check out Breathe. Great alternative. OH! And there's free parking except on Saturdays behind the hotel. Purrrfect -

LOVE Breathe Hot Yoga! I mean LOOOOOVE!!!
I'm not an exerciser. My elliptical is a lovely clothes rack. When it rains I won't go walking and come up with excuses as to why I can't (might catch a chill! Might get sick! Might slip and fall! Man I sound old!!!)
I'm in my early 40's and have a regular slim build. I don't NEED to exercise. But BREATHE makes me want to!
BREATHE's SLU studio is clean, temp zone controlled, has towel service, showers, water fountain to fill up your water bottle, and most importantly has fabulous instructors.
If you want a gong and spiritual mantras, I'd look somewhere else.
But if you want an AMAZING studio with excellent instructors, EVERY POSSIBLE STUDENT LEVEL (the newbies get tons of support and help) and a GREAT personal hot yoga experience, you need to sign up and you need to do it now.
And at 2 weeks of 10 visits for $25 you can't lose.
I started because one of their deals was good and I didn't want to invest when I wasn't sure I would like it. Now I'm about to sign up to auto pay unlimited because I want to go EVERY DAY.
Love! Love! Love! Love! Love! Breathe Hot Yoga. And it never rains in the studio, so I have no excuses!
See you there! -

I hate heat. I hate to sweat. I hate to work out. I hate other people's sweat/smell. I hate bacteria. I hate militant instructors and today was my 20th consecutive day at Breathe.
Any one reading this would wonder, "what the hell are you doing in Hot Yoga?"
Answer: I like to eat. I hate having a spare tire/muffin top. I love that Breathe is clean*. I love that the floors are anti-bacterial. I love that the heat range in the room allows a beginner the opportunity to focus on the poses vs trying to survive the heat. I love that the instructors are well balanced in knowing when to correct and when to push without being militant. Most of all I love that this all allows a person to progress at her (my) own pace.
*It's clean, no really it is. On day 16th, I got there early, and entered the hot room. As I staked out my spot and unrolled my yoga mat, I Clorox-wiped the floor before it. (Yes I am THAT person.) Lo and behold, my Clorox wipe was clean. It wasn't gray, it was surprisingly white. On my 16th day, I practiced through 90 minutes of hot yoga with a slight smirk on my face.
On my 20th day I find that - I sleep better, I work better, I eat better, my clothes fits better, and my skin is phenomenally soft. I still hate heat, I still hate to sweat, and Breathe Hot Yoga turns things I hate into things I can tolerate for my own good. Now onwards to day 21. -

I tried this studio once but I'm not sure if I'll be going back.
On the plus side, there are floors vs. carpet which I prefer for Bikram, as mentioned in other reviews, the changing rooms are quite roomy. I also like that they have good, healthy frozen food for sale in the lobby if you are famished when you are done.
The instructor, however was a bit loose with his instruction and I felt he didn't strike the right balance between facilitator and coach - I didn't feel like he made me want to do better.
The zone heating is a good idea, but I was somewhat close to the windows and got quite a chill as well as a lot of road noise which made it difficult to practice. I felt like there also needs to be some kind of window covering on the long wall of windows. -

Pros: One of the few hot yoga studios that actually has showers!!! Great location with lots of parking near Whole Foods/Denny Park, although if you get here before 6p.m. or on a Saturday you do have to pay for parking. The staff were all super friendly & I liked the instructor and thought the class was good. Love the locker rooms & bathroom, and am grateful they have a bathroom in the same building. The studio is also super clean & doesn't smell at all.
Cons: Not as hot as I'm used to. More like warm than hot. I'm used to studios where it doesn't matter where you stand (back or front), it is insanely hot everywhere. They don't have Power yoga at this studio, which is my favorite. Although I felt sore from the stretching after class, I didn't feel like I'd had a cardio workout at all.
Overall, I liked it though and am planning on going back =) Oh and they also sell food/ice cream at this yoga studio. -

I can't believe I checked into Breathe Hot Yoga yesterday for my 30th time! When I saw this I realized I had to write an update to my previous reviews.
Breathe Hot Yoga is a VERY clean and cheery studio with large locker rooms, complete with showers. The heat in the first three rows is HOT, and even hotter if you can snag a spot under one of the heaters. The instructors are friendly and truly want to help make your experience great.
So as you can see, Breathe Hot Yoga has everything you need, the rest is up to you. I have come to realize, since my last review, that committing to one studio really helps your yoga practice. All of the jumping around to snag intro specials might save you money, but it won't give you the consistency and comfortability you need to enjoy your practice. The biggest complaint I had at first was the difference between the instructors. What you really need to do is go with an open mind and try out the different instructors. Their schedules are listed on the website, so figure out which ones you prefer.
The owner, Amber, just celebrated Breathe's one year anniversary! So, give this (relatively) new yoga studio a chance, you will be more than pleasantly surprised.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

So... it's only been a week, but I must say I'm a bit of a hot yoga junkie I think. I've taken two more classes and am heading back tomorrow...
The highlight for me was last night - being able to grab my right foot in the bow pose. I think the last time I was able to reach my foot was in 1984... yep - it's been that long.
Everyone who works at Breathe has been incredibly friendly and helpful and with any business it's the customer service which will bring you back.
I will keep going and hope to someday soon be able to sit on my heels for the first time in 20 plus years.1 Previous Review: Show all »

LOVE this yoga studio. ^^ it's very airy and open with lots of natural light (and close to home!). but the differentiating factor is the graduated heating. there are 5 rows of heating - hot to not, front to back. I love the option of up'ing or pulling back the heat factor for your practice dependent on how you're feeling that day...the rest of the studio is also very clean and the staff wonderfully pleasant. Super happy this place opened downtown. :)

I have to admit, I am not a fan of the Bikram practice in general, mostly because it has less to do with listening to your body and more to do with pushing yourself to the edge. If that is what you are looking for, and are fairly experienced, then this place might be for you. If you are new to yoga, I would not recommend this place. Most of the teachers are not very friendly or helpful. Bikram kicks your ass without actually helping you to learn and grow in your practice.

Decent spot for hot yoga. I wish the instructors came around and corrected your postures - I think that really helps you get deeper in the pose. I often think to myself 'this is SO easy' until the instructor comes around and makes the tiniest adjustment and I realize I was doing it wrong. Clean place and decent size room. I have been in the front row and it didn't feel as hot as some of the other places I have been to but still very warm. Changing room is a little small but overall it's an ok place.

The intructors are very good and will take the time to get to know you if you want them to. The class itself is very enegrizing, and the room has graduated heat, so the front is hot the the back is warm. I would recommend it to beginners like myself, or to more advanced folks.
I really wish they were closer to where i live, i feel like i would go there everyday. -

Dear BHY:
Thank you for having a clean HUGE studio. Thank you for being so friendly and well, sweet! Thank you for having a fabulous 45 minute lunchtime yoga class for those of us that can't be away from our desks for extended periods of time. Thank you for not having a classroom full of "yoga models" or douchebags. Thank you for having different degrees of "hot zones" in your studio - that is BRILLIANT.
And Amber - you. are. the. shit! I thoroughly enjoyed your class, but most of all your energy. You are, by far, one of the best and happiest yoga instructors around - and believe me, I've been around a lot (myself included).
So thank you.
And in classic Arnold fashion: I'll be baaaaack.Listed in: My Neighborhood

As you enter the studio you can feel the positive energy flowing through the whole space. You will most likley find the owner Amber at the front desk to welcome you. From here your experience will only continue to get better.... The changing rooms are clean and spacious with nice private showers. The actual hot yoga studio is rather new and very well maintained with a lot of space to "stretch-out". With both mirrors and big windows to check form. As far as the instructors. They are very kind, caring and compassionate. I highly reccomend taking your first session with the owner Amber (she is the BEST)..
They have a great website where you can get information on schedules, instructors, introductory offers and rates. It is fairly affordable and definatley worth it. -

Everything that's been said so far in the reviews is absolutely true. A very inclusive, comfortable environment with competent, encouraging teachers.
I've gotten more insight about my posture, musculature, mobility, and general phisiology from the combined wisdom of three of Breathe's teachers than from the dozens of other yoga instructors I've had in my life.
I agree with the thought that Breathe is for folks who "like hot yoga but don't like being directed by Nazi Bikram teachers!" I can make each practice my own without the stress of worrying about being called out if I adjust my shorts during a pose!
No stinky rug! No stinky rug! The anti-microbial non-skid floors are awesome. Showers! The heat gradient options are great for others (I like it at 100).
Overheard in the Breathe lockerroom: "I really love this place. I still have eight class credits at [another yoga studio], but why bother when I can come here?" -

I have to thank one of my Yelp friends for this recommendation.
I just began working downtown. I had saved a coupon for 10 classes in 2 weeks for Breathe, thinking, maybe some day I will try it.. when I can brave downtown. Imagine my surprise to be walking by and see that I work 2 blocks away!
My Yelp friend said that the owner, Amber, is a little sweetie". YES She is little. She is a sweetie. She knows yoga. She clearly loves it. She has a wonderful studio. She listened with clarity about my aging knees stories.
The noon class from 1200 til 1245 is very popular. Its filled with some basic 26 moves and different ones. I missed a couple twists I usually like .. but I got to do yoga in the middle of the day. And I got more practice on those balances.. those torturous balances! I am getting better- just so you know, in case you dont read my yoga blogs.
There was a tiny delay in the locker room- showering. Oh well. I said something like, "I have to get to work" and a shower opened up. The flowing water is definitely welcome after a great yoga class.
See you I hope. -

I had attended Bikram classes at the studio Amber (co-owner of Breath) had taught at and had liked her but did not like the rigidity that Bikram has a tendency to require from their teachers and classes. Problem is, I also really like the heated room yoga practice so to have the heat I had to put up with all the things I didn't like such as not being able to make it 'my' practice. When I heard Amber was going to open her own studio because she felt the same way, I was very excited and after attending my first class am even more excited that the studio she opened is precisely what I had hoped it would be.
Relaxed atmosphere, calm teachers with encouragement to keep the integrity of the pose but to more importantly encourage you to do what feels comfortable for you today. I took my best friend who had only been to one yoga class her whole life and she was ready to sign up for a punch card so she could come back again. The teacher allowed her to explore what she could do but also lent a suggestion here and there quietly to not draw attention or micromanage her first experience.
The room was hot as it should be but with the radiant heat, you could breath with ease and frankly, by the time class was over I really thought we had skipped poses because it went by so quickly. There is a changing room with showers and space to actually place your belongings and change without having to be piled on top of the person next to you.
If you like hot yoga but don't like being directed by Nazi Bikram teachers, I HIGHLY recommend Breathe Yoga, great experience, great teachers, wonderful studio and great specials for new students ($25 for 10 classes - must use within 2 weeks) and regular punch cards without expiration dates! -

My favorite place for hot yoga in Seattle. The staff is super friendly, encouraging and helpful.
The place is uber clean too, you would never know that hundreds of people have sweated out gallons in the hot yoga room.
I feel like when I walk in the door, I leave everything else behind me. I'm a big big fan. -

Breathe Hot Yoga is the best hot yoga studio around! Here are all of the things I love about it!
#1) Radiant Heat - it is just a cleaner, nicer source of heat! You still sweat, and it's still hot, but you can choose different places in the room the stand depending on how HOT you want to be. You can focus on stretching instead of dying!
#2) Location - convenient location, great parking, mostly free, sometimes a couple of bucks, but overall great for a downtown location.
#3) Amber and all of the instructors - Amber, the owner, teaches 80% of the time, and she's amazing, and all of the instructors are nice and helpful and encouraging. I've been doing hot yoga, at several studios over the past 2 years, and I feel like I learned the most since I started coming here
#4) The Floor/Building - the floor is awesome! It's antibacterial, and non slip, not carpet, not stinky! and everything is clean and fresh and nice and light and spacious!
Overall, it is a great place for beginners and advanced yogis too! It is a very comfortable and non-threatening environment. I love that I get a great 90 minute cardio and stretching workout, without absolutely dying from the forced gas heat. I never knew it was possible, but truely, you can focus much more on your stretching when you aren't stressing out about DYING!!! -

This is a really refreshing place to practice hot yoga. The instruction is not nazi style like other studios I've been to, they encourage you to challenge yourself while listening carefully to your body and not over doing it...very rare to find this kind of instruction at other hot yoga studios.
They have a huge clean studio with natural light and antimicrobial vinyl floors, they have the heat on in the first three rows where more advanced students can practice and heat off in last two rows for beginners. Also, they have a large, clean dressing room with....get this...SHOWERS.
I was a little worried about this location at first, because I wasn't sure where I would be able to park, but so far I've found street parking easy breezy every time.
I'm so excited I found this studio, it's been a breath of fresh air! -

This studio is everything I wanted it to be - except hot. It has great teachers, nice staff, very clean, bright studio (LOVE the natural light from the large windows) and nice showers. I love the atmosphere, energy and obvious love of yoga.
I've only been twice and I'd love to go back but I'm reluctant since I was cold even while being in the 2nd row (2nd hottest) and under a heater! I don't need my yoga studio to be sweltering hot (though that is what I'm used to) but I really dislike being cold while doing yoga. When I go again I will wear a layer over my tank top. -

My first Bikram experience, and it was really nice- the heat was location sensitive which was helpful since I was worried about getting too hot and wanted a moderate temp. area to be in. I loved the easy to get to location with no parking issues. I had initially been worried about getting too hot or dizzy, or just feeling out of place- and it really washed away as soon as I walked in the place.
It's nice to do something good for yourself, this felt like a life treat. -

I have been interested in starting yoga for a while now. I finally gave it a shot when they issued their Groupon last week. I am SO HAPPY and LUCKY that this was my first Yoga studio.
1. I loved how clear and comprehensive their website is. Especially the "First Time" link. It was awesome to have a clear idea of what to expect and to have some general guidance ie. going back to back days for your first time, and attending 10 classes in 14 days. This is not so they can make more money but so you can learn and then actually ENJOY the class. Awesome!
2. The yoga room and entire studio is impeccable.
3. The orientation by Amber was fantastic. She explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions. I felt really comfortable right from the start.
4. Beginner friendly. There are some awesomely advanced people in class that serve as great inspiration to me and a good example of form that I am working to attain. Additionally the instructors have been great about making sure beginners are performing the poses correctly and that they are receiving the maximum benefit from the pose. (For example I had no idea that during the tree pose I should engage my entire leg - pushing down through my heel and then flexing my leg so my knee cap goes up, this engages all of the muscles and then makes the pose much more beneficial and demanding.)
Thank you Breath Hot Yoga! I love the class! -

I've been taking yoga classes for about twenty years I have never been to a studio that was as clean, welcoming and attitude-free as Breathe Hot Yoga. The instruction is excellent. The teachers vary in their styles, but all of them are highly skilled. I also *really* appreciate the flexibility and lack of dogma at all turns: the studio offers different temperatures, so if you prefer a very hot or a very warm (but not hot-hot) work-out, you can find space here. Also you can pay in any number of ways: punch-card (which I don't think expires), monthly membership, etc, etc. I always feel AMAZING when I am done here; there is nothing (in my exercise experience) like hot yoga.

Its time for a new pose and for Breathe.
My first journey into hot yoga was the bikram series at sweatbox, then I journeyed to Breathe. Breathe's studio is as everyone has stated clean and super fantastic. Yoga requires a lot of focus and concentration. The location is near a busy street and you can hear sirens. Also if you are close to the doors there is a very cold draft that comes in. My yoga buddy was positioned right under a clock which didn't help with the focus being on your body and not time. Where sweatbox has the mellow lighting and quiet room (you feel like you are in a very quiet place) Breathe is bright open, clean and sometimes a little distracting. With a few minor adjustments Breathe is easily a solid 5 stars.
The instructors I have had so far are consistent, sweet and good at helping with adjustments. It is not an overly spiritual yoga studio and it is also not a Bikram studio, which I like. They follow very closely to Bikram but are not limited by the 26 poses. Yay for Breathe. -

Love this studio! Very clean and welcoming. The studio itself has large windows that look out onto the space needle - a wonderful backdrop for your yoga practice. The staff and teachers are all very friendly and approachable. The whole place is spotless - very large changing areas equipped with showers (a must have for hot yoga). Breathe also has a work out lab and students are encouraged to use the area to stretch out before and/or after their practice.
I've practiced in many yoga studios on both the East and the West coasts and have to say that this is one of my favorites. I feel like I am part of a community here and look forward to every class I take! -

I learned of Breathe during a recent Groupon promotion they did and I'm so glad I made that purchase. I had never done hot yoga before so was a little nervous going in but was relieved to find such a welcoming studio. The people there are not pretentious and every class I've been to has had people at all different levels. I really enjoyed the different heat zones within the room as others have mentioned, it is great for beginnings like myself.

This studio definitely deserves every 5 star review it's earned.
Super friendly staff- from the moment you walk in the door. Both Amber and Gina are very tactful and discreet at correcting your pose, their encouragement really drives you to strive for the perfect pose.
The studio couldn't be any cleaner. It's seriously pristine. Locker room is just as nice. The only thing I've ever smelled while doing yoga there is my own sweaty self.
I personally love the floor-to-ceiling windows- especially the view of the Space Needle. :) I find the natural light to be very soothing, and the temp/ humidity control is very consistant.
Best all-around yoga experience ever, it's the gold standard. -

Breathe Hot Yoga is the best hot yoga studio in all of Seattle. The studio is large with big windows, beautiful warmed floors, no gross carpet and the teachers aren't militant as I've found in other bikram studios. I will recommend this studio to everyone I know.

This is not my favorite hot yoga studio, but it is a nice studio and centrally located in downtown Seattle. I was excited to check it out as I got a great deal on some classes from Seattle Perks. I have had friends that attended in the past and they seem to enjoy it more than I do. It unfortunately does not have a parking lot meaning that during certain hours you would have to pay an additional fee for parking on top of the 20$ per class fee (which does seem to be one of the highest per class costs around), they do offer a great introductory special though which makes it worth checking out. The room is big (5 rows), but seems to have varying heat degrees depending on where you stand. This room seems much less hot than other hot yoga studios I have been to, but this may be preferred by people who do not enjoy the heat. Class instruction was good and I enjoy that the teacher walks around rather than stays in one place. Studio was super clean and didnt have that nasty hot yoga smell some have. I also enjoyed that there was a large changing room on site.

The new yoga studio called Breathe is a breath of fresh air.
The yoga room is huge, and clean and stately. The trip from Greenwood is really easy, just hop on Aurora and you are there in 15 minutes. No more smelly carpet, no more running out of hot water in the showers.
The teachers are excellent, and the owner Amber is one of my favorite teachers. I recommend it. -

Breathe Hot Yoga Rocks!!!!!
I live in West Seattle and have bounced around to a few nearby studios. Breathe, by far, is the best and I am sticking with it. I was hesitant to drive from West Seattle since there is a studio in walking distance down the street from where I live but after checking out Breathe for past month, I've decided it's well worth the drive.. which isn't so bad if you take 99.
The parking may be daunting at first, so if it is your first time go at least 20 - 30 minutes early to figure it all out. There are a few options for you depending on what time and day you go. The helpful staff will gladly explain to you.
The teachers are all very experienced and helpful. I love the fact that they help you with your poses when you are doing it wrong in a caring and non invasive approach. Yoga is their passion and it is apparent.
The studio itself is brilliant. Radiant Heat. Clean. Huge. Natural Light. I'm in love and addicted!! The owners, Amber & Ross have been in the yoga business for awhile and have done a beautiful job with this new studio. -

Breathe Hot Yoga is in a great location, the studio is very clean and their class-times are really convenient. However, Breathe "Hot" Yoga is a misnomer--this place is "warm" at best. You just don't get the same satisfaction as doing yoga in 105-110 degree heat, and I have to believe the benefits aren't as great, either. I also find issue with some of the teachers--their sing-song-y cadence was soooo irritating and they're not nearly as helpful as the teachers I've had at Sweatbox. If you're a beginner to hot yoga this might be a good place to try, but especially since their prices are more expensive than other studios, I'd steer you elsewhere--and my review for Sweatbox is forthcoming!

After hearing about Breathe Hot Yoga, my friend and I decided to go. I've been to plenty of Yoga classes and a Hot Yoga class before, but nothing like Breathe. The front desk guy was very nice and Amber the instructor was very informative. She let me know about the 10 class/2 week special and I was hooked! They have a work out area, separate men's and women's locker rooms, and a huge hot yoga studio. They also have five different areas where the first area (near the front) is the hottest and the fifth level (near the back of the room) is a little cooler. You do sweat in this class so make sure you bring a water bottle, a towel to put on top of your yoga mat, and a towel for your face! There are a ton of classes offered each day of the week and they are 90 minutes long. The class is focused on strengthening and rest, but you do get a wonderful workout. The more you push yourself the more you will burn calories and become more focused. Amber always says that hot yoga is a practice of meditation and I'm very happy to have found this place!

The Breathe studio is spacious, clean, modern and has a great light-and-airy feeling because of all its windows and natural light. It's the opposite of a dank dungeon or musty sauna. Its openness creates a nice atmosphere in which to practice.
More importantly, Amber and her team are world class -- both easygoing and extremely skilled. They know hot yoga inside and out and are eager to share their passion.
As a recreational long-distance runner, I know this form of yoga works for me. Among other benefits, it stretches and loosens all those places that running compacts and hardens. I'm just lucky to have found such an inspired space. I recommend Breathe wholeheartedly. -

I am 56 and have hip and back limitations. Breathe Hot Yoga has been great for me. The studio is very pleasant - bright and evenly heated. The yoga instruction is consistently clear and they don't push me beyond my limits, although they do encourage me to go as far as I am able. As Amber says, "This is yoga practice, not yoga perfection."
I have also been taking a "Hip 101" class with Mike that's been really helpful to increase my strength and range - better than all the physical therapy I've done.
To sum it up: Nice people, beautiful facility, and excellent instructors. It's really a great studio.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Aldona K.

I had never done yoga before signing up for a month long membership deal from Living Social. Now I can safely say I'm hooked. I love going to Breathe and feel like it's now an essential part of my day, especially helpful with unwinding from work stress. Even though I'm still very much a beginner, I feel that I'm getting a lot stronger from the wonderful instruction that Breathe provides and the 90 minutes seem to fly by. Amber is an amazing instructor who somehow manages to be both motivating and soothing at the same time. The studio is clean and conveniently situated and the various temperature zones are a great option. The only drawback is that the changing room and shower area is pretty small and can get really crowded during the evening classes. However, it's a small price to pay for such a great overall experience.

Review from Debbie B.

I have been doing hot yoga for over a year and a half now and I think Breathe is okay, but I am still looking for a different experience. I appreciate doing sun salutations throughout my practice, for it provides an upper body workout...love the chatarangas (push ups) and this practice does not include them. While the poses of the practice are quite challenging, I would like to feel more flow between them. Overall it is a large open studio with very friendly and approachable staff. It's a clean studio, but I have been to classes where they mop the floors between practices. I don't know how I feel about them not doing that here.
