Review from Dr. M.
Absecon, NJ
I've stayed at a lot of bed and breakfast inns and this one tops them all. The breakfast was to die for. They had hot and cold choices and different hot items everyday. The breakfast burrito was delicious as well as the scones. John and Donna are very nice and have their hands full with a 15 room place!!!! We stayed in room #2 and it was lovely. They also had many activities available from biking to canoeing and they recommended several wonderful day trips. We are looking forward to coming back :)

This B&B is found in the beautiful town of Lyme, NH which sits atop a hill above the pristine CT river. John & Donna Anderson are great Innkeepers and are friendly and helpful during your stay. The Inn itself has really interesting architecture from the outside and a very modern and clean look on the inside. Donna's breakfast are the best in New England and she takes her craft very seriously. The area around the Inn offers hiking trails, canoeing, cross-country skiing, etc and there's even a few good restaurants to eat out. I would definitely recommend staying in one of the suites if your there for a weekend, they're bigger, they have Jacuzzi tubs and a nice sitting area with a TVs. There's movies to borrow from the common area and a nice community outdoor Jacuzzi tub also to use.
My wife and I loved the look of the Inn so much that we decided to get married here two years ago. It was small, about 30 people, and it was in March so it was even snowing a little. The event went really well and the food that Donna prepared was amazing. SO, I would definitely recommend holding an event here. Just be sure to sit down with John or Donna and talk about what you envision for your event, because they can be very anal about how they think it should go and what you can do.
One other thing to mention, the Inn is very close to the VT border...I would highly recommend visiting White River Junction in Hartford, VT or taking a trip to Hanover, VT where Dartmouth is located, there's a lot of shops, spas, coffee shops and restaurants. So that's it, I think you'll be pleased however you decide to spend time at this B&B, we always had an enjoyable time! -

We stayed here over valentines day weekend to "get away" locally, and it was fabulous! Our room had a view of the river (not all of the rooms do). The owners were extremely friendly and courteous, and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and a nice hot breakfast to go with it. We definitely want to go back in the summer some time because they have boats you can take out on the Connecticut! I think they may have even said they have bikes, but I can't remember. Certainly worth a visit.
