Review from Mr. A.
San Marcos, CA
My wife and I eat here almost every weekend. The service has always been very good and the food is always very fresh. No stale bread or cold eggs. I order the huevos rancheros or the hamburger patty and egg breakfast. Both are very filling and very good. I cannot say that I have ever had a dud here.
One little known secret is to call ahead and put your name on the list. I would refer this place to anyone who enjoys a quick, hot, fresh breakfast, at very reasonable prices. I think the coffe mugs are cool. You can join their coffe club for $25 (I think) and get coffe everyday for a year. Their coffe is damn good too. -

I had breakfast there over the weekend and it was real good!
To sum it up, we got an awesome meal with great service, their menu items breaks the mold of your typical Denny's, IHOPS, MIMI's and such, my omelet was original, I personally never heard of and most importantly delish!
The coffee mug however had random advertisement for local shops... LOL. WTH!?!? ... in case that maybe I needed computer repair or an oil change after breakfast!!! I dunno!!! To each its own I guess...
My server, Can I say the name here? Is that OK? Oh well, Ima say it anyway, Stephanie. She was pleasant, polite and professional, so we got an awesome breakfast with an equally awesome service! What else can a hungry belly ask for!? -

Have eaten there several times since their grand opening. The menu keeps growing, the service has always been good (except when it is very crowded), the food is excellent, and the prices are on par with other local establishments that serve good quality food.
I have recently tried one of their new items (not even on the menu yet), French fries, and they even brought me blue cheese dressing for them (which was mixed with BBQ sauce and was delish).
My mom had an omelet and I had the breakfast bowl without meat. The rye bread is to die for and we keep forgetting to ask where they get if from (or if they make it on premises).
Staff and owner are always cordial, friendly, and very accommodating. My mom and I go during slow periods because we HATE crowds, so obviously service is going to be better when they are slow.
We are told they are adding even more items to the menu soon and will stay open an hour longer until 3:00 PM (instead of 2), which my mom and I were happy to hear about.
If you buy something next door at Whimsical (yogurt, gelato, shaved ice, etc.), the receipt is good for 10% off at the Breakfast Club, which is very nice! -

We wanted to check this place out. It took forever to get service. They kept changing servers on us. We played using my ATM card. I always round my bill along w/ the tip ($40.00). I later looked at my bank statements & noticed that the bill was $ 40.89 which means the waiters rounded their tip to $7.00! There are some dishonest waiters there. Watch your card at all times there. I will NEVER go back! I will tell all my friends & neighbors to stay away from the breakfast club of shame!
IHOP, anyone? -

What a great breakfast restaurant! Went to it Sunday for lunch. I had a Mocha with a Chicken Fajita Explosion Omelet. WOW! I def recommend it! Between the four of us, the bill came to $35. They have military discount which was applied dropping it to around $30.
I will be going back. The waiters were great. Food came to our table in no time flat. Try it out. You won't regret it! -

Wow! Finally, a nice breakfast place! I don't know where to start. I was seated quickly. The host was super nice. My waitress was super nice and quick. Not so quick that I felt rushed but on it. The food was hot and well presented. Did I mention tasty? I had a Monte Christo sandwich and a bottomless cup of coffee.
The manager even came around to ask how it was... I like customer service :) I will definately return to this restaurant!!!!!!! -

The breakfast club of menifee has lost a customer. We have ate here several times and loved the food every time however I can only take bad service so many times before I throw in the fork.
I understand waiting for a table especially on a weekend and even a short wait during the week doesn't bother me. What makes me mad is after being seated having to wait 10-15 mins to be acknowledged. What's makes me even more upset is after being the first table seated out of five and getting our food last and when I simply ask why it was taking so long the answer was a) because I ordered a bananas foster pancake & b) my order was probably done and sitting in the window.
I'll miss you BCoM but not your slow service. -

When I went the place looked nice. The food was good.
I liked that the kids can draw on the table it was very different. The waiting period was super long. It was Too loud, but I kind of liked that because I didn't have to worry about my kids being too noisy I couldn't even hear them :) -

This place is not too bad, but it wasn't great either.
I saw in one review, someone had said their glasses smell funny. I did not notice this at all. They smelled fine. And the water tasted like water.
We both ordered coffee, which was refilled constantly.
They had the news running on the tv, so that was nice.
Our server was very friendly, but she could have backed off a little. The first five minutes we were there, she came to our table at least 3 times asking us if we were ready. I kind of felt like she was hurrying us.
I ordered an omelet which came with spinach and sun dried tomatoes and Hollandaise sauce. Unfortunately I did not like it. It was completely flavorless...and instead of the dried tomatoes adding flavor, all they did was create a harsh texture. Maybe they do not soak them first or something. And they were so overwhelming and plentiful I couldn't even pick them out. So I just ended up not eating. I ordered the country potatoes as a side, and they were good. So no complaints there. I also chose sourdough bread, which was nice.
My dining partner had the eggs benedict, and enjoyed it.
I would return, but definitely have to order something else.Listed in: Southern California, Wakey wakey, eggs and bacie!

I took my daughters here for lunch. The kids meals were $2.95 each and were plenty of food. The girls both cleaned their plates completely. 3 small pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon (for one), breakfast sausage (for the other) and my picky eaters loved it. I went with the waiters recommendation and I can't remember the name but it was potatoes, bacon, sausage, gravy, scrambled eggs, in a burrito and it was awesome. The service was extraordinary. I tipped him $10 on a $16 tab if that tells you anything. We will absolutely try this place again.

This is a gem. Best waffle anywhere. Angus beef pattie and eggs delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. Owners Stu and Tracy are running a professional restaurant. Best deal is the club membership for $25.00 gourmet coffee or premium tea selection for one year. We visit three times per week and save big time. You also collect points toward future meals. We think this is a winner for the city of Menifee. John and Bettie Van Oldenbarneveld.

Murrieta, CA
My wife and I have eaten here several times and for the most part the food id good. I have to say that I believe this restaurant is a victim of Menifee's failure to attract other, more reputable eateries. what I mean is, the place is TOO busy and as a result I believe their quality has diminished greatly since they opened.
They most likely never ever counted on being so busy (as a result of no where else to go). This has hurt them a lot recently and our last trip there will be our last. I have the corn beef hash with poached egg and toast and OMG, would someone PLEASE tell them how to cook corn beef hash. What foul tasting food that was, like they just plopped it our of some WWII meal ration and threw it on the plate... tasted horrible.
I've had real Irish corn beef hash and this stuff wouldn't come close in two million years! Hey BCofM, if you're reading these reviews.. slow that place down, focus on quality, NOT quantity.
Oh and another thing, your waitresses said you changed rinsing agents and now the after taste in your ceramic cups (the smell) is awful and we've had to resort to asking for your "to go" cups as a result of this. The smell is like stale urine.. nasty!
We won't be going back there as there are too many other choices out there right now. I wish you luck and whoever reads this.. Psst! don't order Corn Beef Hash..
UPDATE: 12/15/2010
Well I believe I got the owners attention with my review. Well first off, I HAVE had "other" reviews that are good, actually 3/6... batting .500 is good no matter how you look at it. Please look at BMW Motorcycles of Riverside AND Kool Bliss in Murrieta. Look before making false statements..please!
I stand by my thoughts on the Corn Beef Hash and my wife does too, including the cups (which did have a funny smell inside which affected taste). Oh and yes, I am a very successful business owner and have been for decades. My father taught me that "Quality has no fear of time", Yes, there is much better tasting CBH out there and as a matter of fact if my mother were still alive she'd show you how much better it is!. If you're customers love it, that's good for them and good for you. I have my previous life experiences that taught me otherwise and that's the way life goes, like it or not.
You're in business... if you can't take negative comments when in fact they are true (remember, perception is reality to your clients), then maybe YOU shouldn't be in business!.Comment from Stu R. B. of Breakfast Club of Menifee 12/15/2010

3.5 stars. Can't round up for this one.
We came here for breakfast on Saturday around 9:30 a.m. and the restaurant was packed. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated by the kitchen door and patio door in a large booth. It was a bit annoying to see and hear the workers and customers going in and out of the doors. It definitely took away from the dining experience fro me. I wouldn't want to sit there again if I didn't have to.
The service was very good and the owner even came by to check on us. All the food came out at the same time and our glasses/cups were frequently refilled.
Free biscuits with jam and butter for everyone. Only one free biscuit per person and additional charge for more.
We ordered:
The One with pancake sausage bacon egg 3.95 - The sausage was really good. I later found out they taste tested several sausages and decided on the larger Hormel breakfast sausages. The pancake and bacon was average and the egg was cooked very well.
Meat Lover omelet with bacon sausage ham and cheese 8.55 - The omelet was slightly over cooked but still very good. Hearty chunks of meat and good portion of cheese. The potatoes were cold, which makes me think the plate was sitting for a while before it made it to our table. The owner took care of the cold potatoes right away and came back out in less than 60 seconds with fresh, hot potatoes. Huge thumbs up!
Banana foster 7.85 - Just average. Nothing special about the taste or flavor.
Coffee, freshly ground 2.05 (free refill) - The black coffee here is wonderful. If I lived in the area, I would buy the $25 mug and drink free coffee all year.
This place is definitely better than any chain breakfast spot I have been to in the area. I would much rather come here and have The One for 3.95 than go to Denny's. I'll be back and hopefully seated in a better spot and no cold potatoes. -

Adequate breakfast with big portions. The hashbrowns had a good crust on them, but I really wasn't a fan of the house-specialty potatoes with green peppers and onions -- they looked like they had a lot of seasoning, but needed a flavor boost that even salt and pepper couldn't provide. The gravy on the chicken-fried steak had good flavor, and the meat-lovers omelet was big, but uninspired.
A fine choice if you're in the neighborhood, but not worth making a special trip for. -

Great breakfast stop, especially for meeting with friends. They start you off with their homemade biscuits with butter and jelly... Tasty! Many breakfast choices to choose from. If you like spinach, avocado and hollandaise, you simly must try the Napa Spinach omlette! Omgosh, so good! The signature potatoes are much better than the other potato choices, so I suggest that one. Also, the freshly squeezed orange juice is like nothing I've ever tasted. Be sure to give it a try.
Free wi-fi here as well. I've seen people on their laptops and smartphones... everyone seems to be cool with it. Friendly atmosphere and attentive waitstaff. -

As one of the few sit down service restaurants in the the area, it's a decent option. But being that they serve just breakfast, the place is only open until 2pm. It has a hometown feel, very spacious and extremely clean (especially the bathrooms..but the place is brand new). Already seems like a nice hangout for the local senior community. The staff was ok but I feel our waitress could of had a bit more personality. However, the overall service was not bad.
My friend and I ordered a Chili Omelet(the description on the menu made it sound interesting) and our kids had a Quesadilla and Breakfast Burrito. First off, the kids meals were extremely large portions. The Quesadilla fully covered the plate and the Breakfast Burrito was not as tiny as I thought it would be. In fact, I was happy my son couldn't finish it so I could have it as a snack later. That's me, Mr. Breakfast Burrito!
Anyway, the Chili Omelet came out and it was great. A nice, chunky chili, with mushrooms, cheese, and diced onions over a meat patty with scrambled eggs. Who'd of thought? I totally enjoyed it. It also came with potatoes that were quite good but my advice, skip the country gravy. It tasted like it came off the floor(just being real). That's probably the one thing that troubled me from my experience here. Good thing I got it on the side. Ended up throwing ketchup on 'em instead. Much better.
Aside from that problem, it's not going to prevent me from coming back. The place is fairly new so I'm sure they're working out a few kinks. Prices were decent and I definitely want to try another of their special omelets.
Look forward to my next visit.Listed in: Where in the world is Menifee,…

Yeah, I'm totally a fan. In fact......I'm tempted to give 5 stars since the first review has got some stuff in it that's total BS. Whatever, I'll just try to keep it real.
The place definitely has a cool modern vibe. Yes....a bit noisy but, we're not trying to sleep in here right?
There is a coffee bar inside the door to the left with it's own cashier. Hmmm.....interesting.
The specialty here is creative omelets. Although, there are 2 specialty pancakes.....Banana Foster and Apple. Otherwise pretty standard breakfast fair at reasonable prices.
I tried the Chili Size omelet which was very good. Next time I would just have them put the bread toasted on the side for me. It didn't really add much having it sandwiched in with the egg and burger patty for me. The Breakfast Potatoes were also good and I VERY seriously doubt they are getting them at Smart & Final as stated in the first review!?! The menu says that they make their salsa and guacamole fresh every day.
Generic Ketchup from a "store"-------comon, it's a restaurant service brand......who cares anyway? Denny's a better alternative--------really? Ridiculous!
If your in the area definitely check this place out. -

This place sucks! Nothing special at all! The meals are over-priced, and the menu is small.
I would rather go to a chain place for Breakfast.
Not to mention our waitress was SUPER weird, and made me uncomfortable.
I would never go back, there is nothing to make you want to go back, and want to be in their "club". -

Menifee, CA
Been here once and the service was horrible. There were plenty of open and clean seats yet server took forever to seat us. After being seated and deciding on what I wanted to order, we were ignored while other customer (seated after us) orders were being taken and served. I tried the free biscuit, but it was cold and very hard.
Ordered pancakes, eggs sunny side up, bacon, sausage, toast. Eggs came out very runny, the whites weren't cooked most of the way. Everything else was just kind of avg, I think I would have enjoyed Mc Donald's Hotcake breakfast better. Tried a bit of my friend's chili omelet, wasn't too impressed. Food was nothing special and overpriced to boot. I can easily make everything on the menu at home and it would probably taste better. -

I was hoping and praying that there would finally be a decent place to eat in Menifee.
But alas...I was heart broken again.
The Breakfast Club of Menifee is set up like the Original Pancake House in Temecula, and its just as crowded and uncomfortable.
The waitresses are pretty cool (if not a little on the young and inexperienced side), and there were enough of them to manage the tables.
However, when I first walked in and went to wash my hands, I discovered NO SOAP IN THE DISPENSER!!
Not good.
How long have employees NOT been washing their hands with soap that morning?
I brought it to the attention of the manager lookin' lady, but she took her time telling some young bus boy do fix the problem, and she never once apologized or told me she handled it.
My Breakfast Cub sandwich was way too greasy. Obviously they use the processed cheese variety and WAY too much of it.
My girlfriends omelet was overcooked, but decent.
The ketchup is generic store brand.
Their signature potatoes are absolutely, 100 percent, no questions asked Smart & Final bagged variety, cooked in Vegalene or some other non-stick aerosol cooking spray that I'm sure the U.S. space program probably invented as a lubricant for the Gemini missions.
By the way, the reason its called a "Club", is because if you are really into this place, you can pay to get a mug with your name on it, and every time you want, you can come in and fill up on luke warm coffee free of charge.
Don't mean to hate.
Its just too bad when Denny's seems like a better alternative. -

Great new breakfast spot in Menifee.
Service seems top notch, especially considering they recently opened. I have been to other new restaurants and the service is really bad for months until they get it together.
It seems like they actually did some training here before opening because the staff seems to know what they are doing, even when I was there a week after opening.
They start you off with a free biscuit with butter and jam. They only give you one biscuit per person and if you want more you have to pay.
It's a little tacky. Most places that give you 'bread' will also refill it for you too.
I had the Taco Omelet and it was good.
I definitely will be back to try the apple pancake which looks delicious.
This place definitely has a friendly vibe to it with the owners working along side the rest of the servers.
Prices are cheaper than IHOP. I think it's funny to see people comparing this mom and pop place to IHOP. If you think they are the same, you probably should just keep going to IHOP. -

I thought it was a really good breakfast experience. Fast, unpushy service. Refills for my coffee before I had to even ask.
Very kid friendly. Cheap kids menu. Very large servings. My daughter loved drawing on the paper table cover. Also nice to know that my son (20 mo) was eating off of a clean table. -
Review from Kaylin B.
Nice homey country feeling. I came here for breakfast this morning. There were a few people outside waiting to have their breakfast since it was already packed at 10 am. They told me it would be 15-20 mins wait. I ask to be seated at a booth. They asked if I mind sitting in between other diners. I told them not at all.
Everything looked so good on the menu. I couldn't decide. Even before I decided on my order, they provide me with a small free biscuit with butter and 2 different types of jam/jelly. They were good by the way.
The gentleman was kind enough to recommend me this deal where you get 1 egg, 1 buttermilk pancakes, 1 toast, 1 sausage, and 1 bacon for $3.95. I was like that's a great deal. So when I place my order, they also gave me the option of either getting an extra pancake instead of the toast and I did that. I also ordered a cup of freshly squeezed oj. They were kind enough to offer me a glass of water without me requesting it.
Buttermilk pancake were huge and delicious. The syrup was yummy too. You can't really go wrong with eggs. The oj was pretty good. The sausage was good. The bacon was very good.
They also make other breakfast items: omelets, french toast, belgium waffles, etc.
They were always checking on me every few minutes to see if everything was alright. They were very sweet and attentive. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area. -

Temecula, CA
I met a friend there this morning for breakfast, she said we were lucky to get a table right away because there is usually a wait. (Got there at 8:50ish)
I will say there seemed to be a lot of omelettes to choose from on the menu.
I got the "One", thought the portion looked a little small, but then ended up not eating the entire thing so they must have large plates :)
Like I rated, it was A-Ok, it filled the belly and pleasured the palate! -

Review from Richard T.
Sun City, CA
As I am a regular here, and have been since it opened, I am a fan. Yes, it's crowded at times but that's because the food is always well above average, cooked exactly the way I asked -- or the server gladly takes it back -- and the owners Tracy and Stu are hands on. One of them is always here, keeping an eye on things. The staff is young , attentive, have settled in in the year since opening, and are always courtious.
Being a regular has its perks. All but the newest servers know me by name. The WiFi is super fast, 3mb/s by my measurement, and the patio is dog-friendly. I belong to their coffee/tea club so that with my typical order, I'm out the door, including tip, for around seven bucks. In this day and age, when the #18 combo at Jack In the Box with a large ice tea costs as much, you can't ask for a better value.
I'm a creature of habit, almost always order the one-one-one special with two extra eggs. I like mine poached medium and that's the way they come. The biscuit is a nice start and to give you an idea of how customer focused the owners are, back when they opened I asked for orange marmalade and when they didn't have it, they started to offer it by the time of my next visit.
I love their pancakes, great fluffy texture, and asked if they do chocolate chips. They didn't but added that to the menus, for me at least. It's things like this that earn my loyalty and have me coming back, typically twice a week when I'm not traveling.
When I read some of the reviews here, granted some were written just after the Breakfast Club opened, I wonder if they are eating in the same place I am. Some of they hyper criticisms seem to me as if they were written by competitors... who would mention something like an aftertaste in the cups that doesn't exist?
OK, with all this being said, why only four stars? First, if it was available, I would give it 4.5 stars, which for me, is as good as it gets. Traveling as much as I do, I have incredibly high standards, especially for breakfast and breakfast here is clearly better than it is at chain establishments and I don't believe that all chain restaurants are bad. They provide a consistent experience and sometimes, that's what I want.
But the Breakfast Cub of Menifee is a great alternative in an area where there are few choices, even fewer good ones. This is a good one, a really good one. -

Fast service, really good food, but its kind of small and crammed. I got the Baja omelete, which was really good...eggs, corn tortillas, Monterey Jack cheese inside with avocado, salsa, and sour cream. They have really good coffee too. Our 3 year old loved coloring on the table instead of a kid's menu most places have with crayons for kids.

Review from Eating T.
Beverly Hills, CA
I didn't actually think this place existed as there wasn't too much information online about it and their website was down (and has been down for quite a while now). Also when I called, late in the afternoon, no one answered and there was no voicemail. I was hoping more than anything that my 2 hour trip would not be in despair and lucky for me it was not. There really is a Breakfast Club of Menifee! Their hours state 5:30 am every day but turns out they open at 7 am on Saturdays. I arrived at 6:40 but the owner let me in and poured me some coffee while I looked at the menu.
I ordered The 1 which consists of 1 egg (overeasy for me), 1 bacon strip, 1 sausage, 1 biscuit and 1 piece of toast (rye). All in all everything was great. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a really good breakfast place. The biscuits were good (I would've like a bit more of a buttermilk bite though), and the accompanying strawberry & raspberry jams were good. The egg was great, cooked just how I like. The bacon good, not just a sorry mess like some places. The sausage was the only thing that was not all that good. Not that it was bad but it was just alright, your typical store bought sausage link, no love. The pancake on the other had was tremendous. It was light, fluffy and warm. I would surely get a few more of these. Next time it's a full stack of pancakes with a side of biscuits...carbo-loading for me.
The one thing that really stood out too was how accommodating the owner was and willing to seat me prior to them opening. Actually by 7 am there were about 10 of us eating early. This is a truly unique place and I really enjoyed my meal. I would highly recommend getting your morning started at the Breakfast Club any day of the week.

I visited this restaurant on a recent trip to visit my family for the holidays. I We were leaving on a flight back to the east coast that morning and I needed a restaurant that could seat our entire family so we could eat with them before we said our goodbyes.
I called about 30 minutes ahead for a large group (14 people) and they were very accomodating. They told us they would take care of putting tables together so our entire party could sit together - to my surprise we arrived 30 minutes later and everything was already to go! Considering how busy they were (even on a Monday morning) I was impressed that they had everything all set when we arrived.
As other reviewers mentioned, they start everyone off with a homemade biscuit, which was delicious! Our group ordered a lot of different things from the menu and everything was extremly happy with the quality of the selection, quality of the food, and overall value for what we received. I ordered the french toast with a side of corned beef hash (homemade every day). The CBH wasnt listed as a side, but they were very accomodating and it was excellent. Much different than what you "typically" receive for CBH...delicious!
Others in the party ordered omelettes and pancakes and thought they were very good as well and very good sized portions.
Overall, I'd say this was a great restaurant and very happy with the choice I made. Definitely recommend to others! -

Total catastrophe. Average (and below) on quality, quantity, wait times, service, etc. Dining at this establishment really makes one want to cook breakfast at home. Regretfully, it seems this restaurants only hope for success will rely on locals who may not want to drive a bit farther to a restaurant that serves breakfast.
