Wonderful food, great service. I love the French toast, the bacon is a must.
I always have to take the chic covered strawberries to go.
They offer you so much food.
When ever I have company in town this is must do.

    Absolutely delightful!
    A charming place for breakfast.
The bacon is a standout as was the cinnamon french toast.
Spoke to a local who frequents and confirmed my suspicion- everything here is good!

This place is the BOMB, me and the wife went twice. She loves the pancakes and says their the best she's ever had. I've ordered the skillet and the baked french toast the eggs were fluff and cooked as ordered but the "World Famous" baked french toast is nothing more than dry bread pudding. Oh and when the check comes it comes with chocolate covered strawberries!!! Who does that?!!? The Breakfast Club does!!

Quaint, clean, promot and very friendly! Greeted by the "sweetest"staff...we were seated right away....and catered by our server Jeanine who ran around sytematically to make sure every guest felt equally special. Catbonara bowl...potatoe scallions garlic and lots of thick smoked BACON:D ...with english muffin toast..yummmmm! Baked french toast...OMG! sugar coma...YES PLEASE! And everyone knows what else comes with the bill! This place is the CRACK OF BREAKFAST SPOTS! Anyone that says otherwise...might need medical attention for lackoftastebuddsitus:) I cant wait to be back for the benedicts...the lobster omelett...apple and pecan waffle...AND MORE BACON! I will be back...SOON

Here's the deal...this place does breakfast right. Is it a five star restaurant? No, but do they do breakfast five star...YES! The pancakes are done superb. The smoked bacon....good god! Ask them, they will cook it how you want it. Crispy...you got it.

    Chili omeletes..rolled pancakes...fried egg's...oh me oh my.

If you can' t find something here for breakfast...go home! You don't deserve the chocolate covered strawberries!

This place is in a strip mall, and the interior is much like eating at your grandma's house or a nursing home. There also is no bar, so no bloodies or mimosas. However - the food is freaking amazing. They only serve breakfast/lunch, but have a huge menu with 7 different kinds of french toast, breakfast nachos, etc. There's almost always a wait, so it's good to go ahead of time and leave your name. There's not much room to wait inside for a table.

What do you get when you try and turn a former bagel shop in to an upscale breakfast joint? Bland food and overpriced items.

I really would like to know what the hype of this place is all about. My wife and I went there for breakfast this past weekend and as it was our first time there we asked for recommendations. As I was in the mood for eggs the waitress said the California Omelet was the way to go and the most popular egg dish on their menu. Most popular eh? Then it must be good right?

Wrong. The entire meal from the Omelet to the Hash Browns was just straight up bland and unimpressive. The first thing any cook learns when they start out is how to properly season their food and I am sad to report there was not even one pinch of salt or pepper anywhere. Sure I can always add it myself from the shakers on the table, but there is a big difference in my opinion when it comes to adding salt and pepper to a dish that's already been cooked and adding them to it before or while it is cooking. Avocado was one of the ingredients listed to be in the dish and one would think there would be chunks of luscious creamy Avocado packed inside, but instead there was one tiny sliver garnished on top. Hardly enough to accompany every bite of food as it should have.

To add insult to injury their "Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice" was the equivalent to Simply Orange, which isn't a bad thing except you get like a 6 ounce glass and you pay $3.25 for it. Seriously? I can get an entire 1.75 liter jug for less than that at the grocery store. Now I understand they have to mark up the price to make a profit and I wouldn't have minded paying that much if I would have gotten a decent amount in return. But two to three sips worth is just down right extortion.

My wife had been craving waffles so that is what she ordered and was throughly disappointed all around by them. Not only did they resemble a hockey puck in shape and size, but in taste as well. There was no flavor to them whatsoever. No vanilla or cinnamon to jazz them up; nothing. They seemed like frozen store bought waffles that were reheated and slightly toasted before being sent out to the customer. She had her choice of bacon, sausage links or sausage patties and opted for the patties. These too lacked anything special about them and had very little flavor or spice. Again, back to what I was saying earlier, a little seasoning can take a dish from zero to hero.

In conclusion they pride themselves on "Serving unique as well as classic dishes using premium quality ingredients." and fail to have met the bar in every aspect of what a "finer diner" should be. I'd rather spend half of what we spent at the Breakfast Club and get some "grub" at a Denny's. At least there I know that the High School dropout cook will salt and pepper my dish before sending it out.

I had brunch here recently with a large group. Although we made reservations in advance, we still ended up waiting in the SUPER congested waiting area for about 30-40 min.

Once seated, I got the Carbonara bowl. Unfortunately, the waitress mixed up the orders and I had to wait 15-20 min, while the rest of my group ate. Since I was starving...the wait felt more like an hour!

When I got my food....it was excellent!!! One of my friends got the french toast....which was more like a cake...and was also very delicious!

Overall...this place was okay. I would not recommend going with a group of 5 or more...as it seems to overwhelm the wait staff. Also, they close at 3pm on Saturday....the staff starts cleaning and closing up at 2pm

This place is so easy to pass driving down Grand River unless you're looking for it, you're almost guaranteed to bypass it the first time around. It's a small little mom and pops joint that looks like someone carpeted an old pool supply store and threw tables in there. Decor is definitely bland but this isn't the French Laundry, who cares what it looks like.

My girlfriend and I stopped in here a few mornings back closer to noon. There was maybe three other tables occupied. Service was quick and friendly throughout. I started with a fresh squeezed OJ. Ordered a large. Glad I did as the small probably comes in a shot glass given how tiny the large actually was. It was good stuff though.

My girlfiend ordered the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, I got the meat lover's omelet (sausage, bacon, ham). Both were freaking awesome. Her Belgian waffle was done right, crispy but not hard to bite into with fresh strawberries and tons of whipped cream. My omelet was perfect, not burnt and the fillings were all cooked nicely. It's always disappointing to order an omelet and get cold eggs with scalding hot fillings, this was not the case.

I think for the both of us, two drinks and our meals came to $24. Not bad at all for the high quality grub and friendly service. We will definitely be back again.

Thought I'd give this a try today, The place is slightly bigger than i thought it would be, I came by myself, they sat me in a cozy booth in the back. Can't say I'm wild about the country craft decor, and the busy carpeting, but the food was outstanding. Nice fresh ingredients in all the food.

They were incredibly attentive to refilling my coffee and water, the staff was super friendly. It was also very reasonably priced, I was pleasantly surprised by the chocolate covered strawberry with the check, very nice touch.

Wow. It was packed yet we were seated in fewer than 5 minutes. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Cinnastix were a great starter.  I do have to say that the prices are NOT inexpensive, which is what the nick jr. parents application stated.  There really isnt any meal under $8.  However the food and quality is definitely great and the portions are just right.  I really love this place but I don't think we will be back too often with my family at least because it is costly.  We loved the complimentary chocolate strawberries for dessert.  Exquisite breakfast eats if u can swallow the cost.

Have you ever had a dream in which you woke up in an anxiety attack over which breakfast item to choose at The Breakfast Club? No? Nah, me neither.

But maybe you haven't been there.

I've only been there twice. But I'm obsessed with the place now. From what I can tell, there are no "meh" choices on the menu. Egg dishes in every form, pancakes and crepes, french toasts, hashes, tomato gratin, quiche...

Expect to wait in the crowded "waiting area" if you come on a weekend. You put your name on a waiting list and stare at everyone else enjoying their food. Gives you a second to glance over their "Specials" whiteboard located on the farthest wall from the waiting period. Note to self: don't get seated below the Specials whiteboard unless you're cool with people staring at you eating the whole time.

I've had a california omelette and the strawberry cream cheese french toast in my last two visits. Each choice was delicious. Now I only need to go back 200 times to taste everything else on the menu.

The Tomatos Au Gratin (comes as an option with the omelettes/egg dishes) were amazing.

My "Breakfast Club Immediate Dishes To Try" list includes the strawberry & whipped cream rolled pancakes as well as the carrot cake pancakes, the tuscan benedict, the quiche duet (which my sister ordered and raved about -- it's also served with a spring salad and orzo salad), and the breakfast nachos, for starters.

They (the biz owners and waitresses) aren't fond of those who sit around to chat after their meals are finished. Understandable, since they are a busy place, but take note if you're looking forward to a leisurely brunch. While sitting down waiting, a manager mentioned to a few people that tables were ready, they just had people that weren't leaving. And my sister was being a leisurist during one of our visits, milking her coffee after our plates had been cleared, and I could tell the waitress was walking by giving us the evil eye. I believe that's called the "Michigan Passive Agressive" way of doing things, compared to Chicago or NY where they might just kick you out. Still love the place though.

I almost forgot about the chocolate covered strawberries! I mean, you can't go wrong here. I'm drooling right now...

Two friends and I decided to check out this place after I read some reviews online and we were going to be in the area.  I had been to The Breakfast Club in Madison Heights before, so I had already scoped out the menu and knew I wanted the Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast.  Yum!!!!  I finished the whole plate, holy piggo!

One of my friends got an omelet which she said was very good, and the other got the Creme Brulee French Toast, which was really good (I tried a piece of it...like I said...piggo!)

The only problem we had was that we felt like we were getting kicked out as soon as we finished.  Also, no chocolate covered strawberries for us, only three cookie-looking things (although all of use were full so they got left on the table)

All in all, if I am in the area again, I would go back.

Lots of reviews for this one so I will keep it to bullet points

Never had anything here that sucked.

Everything I have had has either been good or great.

Spring for the tomatoes au gratin they're worth it!

Never had bad service or too long a wait even when busy (YMMV according to others but I have had no problem)

The little something with the check they give you (often a chocolate covered strawberry) is fucking ace and half the reason I think to go here.  Entrepreneurial genius IMHO.

Confused, amused, but ultimately not bothered by the strange frumpy grandmas place vibe on the inside.

A good friend of mine invited me to breakfast at the Breakfast Club and after I realized she didn't want to smoke Pot in the library I made my way over to 9 Mile and Mac.. Oh wait.. I mean 10 Mile road in Farmington!

From the outside the place doesn't look like much, but the inside is all about the Breakfast!

Our waitress never let our coffee cups go empty and the Oven Baked French Toast was like manna from heaven!

While it may not be as "Groovy" as the Original Pancake House, its no slouch on its own.

I went on a Monday Morning after 9 so I didn't experience much in the way of wait, but I can certainly see where it has the potential to be quite busy!

The Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a nice touch with the bill, but after the Oven Baked French Toast, I think they are just trying to give me the "diabetus"!

After just one visit I can certainly recommend The Breakfast Club!

FULL DISCLOSURE: I use the Belleville Cracker Barrel as my standard of excellence for pancakes and coffee.

So, in my travels last week, as I was driving by the Breakfast Club, I thought I'd give it a try, seeings that it was right around 9 am or so, and I had time to kill.  Upon entering, I was greeted, seated, given a menu and quickly served up some hot MAXWELL HOUSE tasting coffee. Maxwell House isn't bad coffee, just not as pleasant tasting as what I usually get most mornings: ZINGERMANS Roadhouse Joe at their bakery in Ann Arbor.

OK, so after some time elapses, my pancakes arrive. The portion was big but ALAS.....no real MAPLE SYRUP served!  I expect this with my pancakes at much celebrated independent cafes.  Of course, the only pancake place I know of (around metro Detroit anyways) that uses REAL GENUINE MAPLE SYRUP is CRACKER BARREL.

I might try Breakfast Club again, if someone else is picking up the tab or if I'm bringing along my own bottle of GENUINE MAPLE SYRUP from TRADER JOES. Yes, a 16 oz. bottle is $5.99, but I'm worth it. Too bad most restaurants don't think so, CRACKER BARREL excepted.

OK, so this isn't a club, It's a restaurant. This is a nice little restaurant, quaint and quiet. I went here with my 17 y/o daughter.  Brought my iTouch and wrote this review(they have wifi).

    Food:
Banana Caramel French Toast:  Excellent! Hot, great taste, very fillling.
    4.5 Stars
Drink: Coffee - Hot, a tad too strong for me. I like it white and sweet.

    Service:

My daughter had the cinnamon french toast - Loved it!

The strawberries are a nice touch!

After the breakfast we drove down to the Farmington Founders Festival and checked out. Needed to walk off this very light breakfast.

May have to try lunch soon. Nice place.

The Breakfast Club in Farmington is quaint. Pictures of fruit and flowers abound. Doilies are tossed about everywhere. Genteel elderly ladies sip coffee while reminiscing about the good ole 50's. There is a replica of a menu from the last meal on the Titanic in a frame.

Fear not, and get in line. There's a wait...cause the breakfast here is fantastic. The coffee is strong and flavorful. The pancakes are so fluffy you could bounce a quarter off of them. (hypothetically speaking, cause I don't play with my food)

The bacon is not included with most meals but you can order it ala carte. Its thick and appears to be oven baked. I'm a crispy crunchy kind of bacon fan, but this variety is flavorful and smokey.

Just when I thought I was stuffed to the brim, a plate of cold chocolate dipped strawberries arrives with the bill. Well, I think I can make room for a couple of bites of strawberry after all.

I love that they have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch items.  This is great for when I meet my husband for an early lunch, but I'm still in breakfast mode.
I could eat their waffle fries all day every day.  They are thick and crispy and warm...and just.....YUM.
I agree with the other mentions of the decor, but when you have your face in hot waffle fries, plastic table cloths and fake flowers don't really matter.

I could totally see the red hat society ladies having brunch here but the food is incredible and not what you'd expect from the atmosphere. Don't let the looks deceive you. It's very old fashioned looking and could use a makeover from Chef Ramsey!

Once I dined in with friends and had the Cajun chicken salad and the second time I got carry out and had The Thunder bird sandwich and both were delicious. And the chocolate covered strawberry is a nice touch!

Next time I'm getting the lobster quesadillas! or the apple stuffed french toast!

    Om to the nom y'all.

This place reminds me of a great brunch place in Dallas, TX called Breadwinners.

Having relocated from Texas seven months ago, it's nice to go somewhere that doesn't have coney style selections on the menu. Now I love me some good coney, but a little variety is great.

This was the first trip to TBC and it was pretty tasty. I ordered the Southern Benedict: Corn muffin bread topped with sausage patties, poached eggs and sausage gravy. Not bad. I wish the cornbread was a bit sweeter and that the sausage was more spicy and/flavorful, but as a whole the dish was very good. The GF had the Oven Baked French Toast: French Toast topped with raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and streusel (think the best part of coffee cake) topping. She loved it and said it was not overly sweet, even though it looked like a sugary food coma inducing tower of deliciousness.

Definitely going back to check out the rest of the menu.

Overall, a bit pricey for bunch. Our plates were $10 and $9 dollars respectively. More expensive than a coney breakfast? You bet.

    Worth the price? Most definitely.

Breakfast Club is definitely our favorite local breakfast joint. The staff is friendly, the food is terrific, and the dining area is light and airy (though admittedly kitschy). The clientèle is age-diverse, though if you hit it on a Sunday morning you'll encounter the septuagenarian pre-church crowd.

The Oven Baked French Toast is sweet breakfast at its finest, though the Carrot Cake Pancakes are delicious as well. On the savory side, my wife goes for The Greasy Spoon, while I'm more of a Spinach Tomato Feta Omelet kind of guy. The specials are usually great as well, and I can't recall ever eating something there that I didn't like.

The wait is variable, but you can expect it to be up to half an hour at peak times. Large groups should arrive early (or late), as there is only one table that will comfortably seat more than four people. A tip: carry-out is reasonably quick even when the dining room is full.

If you are looking for something more than just the usual Detroit Area Coney Breakfast, this is the place to go.  The menu has so many choices addressing anyone's particular tastes.  You will not be disappointed if you are looking to change up your routine and seek a little something different.  They have unique omlettes, pancakes, french toast and any many many other kinds of breakfasty/brunch treats.  Their specials are usually incredible.

This morning I had the breakfast tostada that was built upon a bed of hash browns with a corn tortilla followed by a refried beans, chorizo, roasted corn, black beans, jalepenos and chiles.  Topped with a scrambled egg and then a nice poblano salsa.  Delicious. Hearty. Enough for lunch/snack leftovers.

Glad to now have this as one of our go-to breakfast-out options.  Just wish they served mimosas.  Then life would be really good!

Crab cake Benedict, artichoke heart quiche, double dipped chocolate strawberries, griddle coffee cake.  Man this place is great.  I've seen it dozens of times and thought the name was catchy, and wanted to stop in, but either I'm there after hours or just too busy to stop.  You know how it is. Today, I insisted I stop in and try the food. The staff is friendly.  I found the menu unique and along the lines of food that I like. (creative)  I had the duet of quiche and coffee cake. The quiche was great, was served with orrzo rice, cup o fresh soup and mini field salad. All was very good and the coffee cake to my surprise was heated on the grill leaving a slight crispness to the outside.  A nice touch.  I highly recommend this place.

This is a GREAT place to go for breakfast! There is a lot of variety on their menu - we enjoy their egg dishes (omelets, greasy spoon, etc.) and their pancakes are supposed to be amazing. I tend to go for one of the many daily specials posted on a chalkboard - they are wide ranging, unique and well made.

The quality of their food is generally good but the fruit is sometimes lacking. The coffee is great in comparison to other breakfast places. They bring you chocolate dipped strawberries at the end of your meal so save room!

Saturday and Sunday mornings are pretty busy so either get there early or come for a later breakfast or expect to wait in line.

They don't offer any gluten-free specific things but, many things on their menu are ok. They have offered to let me bring in my own bread in lieu of their toast (which is incredible and they have tons of options by the way!).

Every time I visit the breakfast club I am impressed. The food is great- finally a restaurant that can make the proper texture for pancakes!

There's an excellent variety on the menu (great for you and all your friends/family), with numerous different pancake options and even some lunch fare. Also, the option of fresh orange juice can not be overlooked.

It's not a surprise that the place is literally packed. DO arrive with time to spare as a wait can be expected. Additionally the hostesses are friendly and instead of mints (or nothing at all) with the bills, there is usually a unique fresh made treat to the patrons adieu. For those who have outgrown Coney Islands loooooong ago there is finally a place worthy of hopping in the car for.

As a side note, I'd like to do a small shout out to Ginger's on Grand River Ave, also in Farmington. It too has excellent breakfasts and could probably use some folks to help it stay afloat.

I read some great reviews and drive by this place at least once a week so I rounded up a couple of friends to check it out.

First of all four adults were sat at a round table meant for two adults.  I felt like I was at my 2 year old nieces tea party!  We just laughed it off.

I had the Breakfast Quesadilla and it was ok...nothing special.  It was a bit on the oily side cuz of the chorizo but they did have a new flavor of Chalula, lime, that I had never seen before!  But I liked the hashbrowns!

My friend had the Oven Baked French Toast and if you like sweet in the morning then order this.  It was a bit much for the morning so she ended up swapping her dish for my hubby's, he had the Ham Egg and Cheese sandwich on a croissant which was ok.

My other friend had pancakes and bacon and the bacon was yummy!  The pancakes tasted really buttery so I was torn either take another bite or watch my figure!

If you live in the area I'd recommend Recipes over this place!  The menu at Recipes is a little bit more creative!

Great breakfast--yummy choices and really sweet waitress. But--they lost one star for REALLY pricey glass of orange juice. Everything was so fresh tasting, but a pretty small glass for $3.25 tasted like mediocre concentrate. Too bad that the most normal and smallest part of the breakfast cost a total rave. But--try the baked French toast !!

I just had a fantastic dinning experience. I am not a picky eater I am also used to food and service being just OK. Today I was hungry for breakfast at 2:00 in the afternoon. I was doing errands and saw the sign for The Breakfast Club restaurant. My thoughts were eggs are eggs I'll give this place a try. The staff was nice and welcoming. I felt like I was at a cozy Bed and Breakfast. The coffee was freshly brewed, not old and burnt, that was a good start. I ordered the New York scrambled eggs. Translation scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. The eggs were done just the way I like them, bacon was perfect, side of fresh fruit, crispy hash browns and the cherry walnut toast topped off the meal. My coffee was refilled and so was the water. The big surprise came at the end of my meal when the check came with a strawberry that had been dipped in dark chocolate.
If you are in the area of Haggerty and Maple give this place a try. I know I'll be back.

The have a nice, at-home type atmosphere. I had "Kelly's Favorite Omelet" with spinach, smokehouse bacon, and Gruyére cheese. For $1 more I substituted Tomatoes au Gratin for hash browns.  Good decision. The omelet was great and the tomatoes au Gratin was even better.

It's a nice place for a 1 on 1 breakfast or lunch meeting.  They also have good, prompt service with frequent water and coffee refills.

    Good Breakfast.

My colleague and I were the only males in the establishment, but we discussed estate sales and wallpaper, so it was ok.

Great food and popular spot for breakfast. Having left their Brighton location, they have a well-deserved thriving business in the Farmington area. This is how breakfast should be done. Great place for a breakfast meeting and usually plenty of capacity during the week. I can't say any more than to try it to believe it!

Driving up to this place I had that "Don't you Forget about Me" song in my head (you know, the one from The Breakfast Club movie).  Ok, I definitely will not forget about this place.  Anyone that knows me that I love breakfast foods, and a good breakfast will make any morning/early afternoon a good one.

I grabbed my guy this past week and we headed here for a late morning meal before a jaunt to the park.  The menu was crazy...so many things sounded so good.  Usually I never have trouble deciding what I want, but here I had a little internal debate about what I was going to have.  Mr. got the baked french toast, which was the size of my head and I got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict.  I only got a lil bite of his, it was so good!  Mine was absolutely brilliant.  Served in a skillet, it comes with a side of hashbrowns.  I'm used to huge breakfasts from coney islands and other places so I was surprised to see that the portion of hashbrowns here seemed small, but it didn't matter to me that much.  Honestly though, I think us, Americans, (me included) can do will less fried potatoes in our diets.  The salmon was so tasty and the poached eggs were perfect.  Coffee here was great as well.  The service was brilliant.  The lady who seated us was super nice and friendly.  Our server is quick and efficient, not super sweet but still nice.  The best part?  The check comes with chocolate covered strawberries...omg, heaven!  Its this nice little touch that will keep me coming back to this place.  Overall, this place is stellar: great breakfast, good service, yummy coffee and chocolate...they definitely won me over!
