Review from Greg W.
This is a nice well run causal breakfast and lunch place. It might be open for dinner but hey its called Breakfast Cafe... Anyways the owner is a nice friendly older gentlemen who is often running the register. He is very helpful and offered to ring up a customer order for my son in response to my question if they had kid's plates. To be fair I am not sure if I paid more then a basic plate so this might not have been actually helpful but he was very friendly about the whole thing and that exact attitude cares over to everything in the restaurant.
The breakfast food was good and priced decently. I would come here again for breakfast. It is higher quality then iHop for example but the general causal table and chairs only in a large open room leave a little to be desired. The coffee station had tons of choices but left little room to put your lid on your soda (hey I'z gotz kids who tend to spill).
The lunch food was about average. I got the gyro plate which was definitely in the upper price range. The meat was pretty processed and the rice was super average. I was a little annoyed when the salad dressing (oil/vinager) pooled at the bottom of my plate because they put the pita bread on the plate under the meat. Read some soggy pita. However as you can see by my star count if you want a nice place to eat I would be happy to give this guy my money. -
Review from Kay D.
The people are friendly, the food is delish, and the price is low. I came here for breakfast and sat on the patio...so lovely on a nice day! I wouldn't have it any other way; the patio is definitely the way to go.
Basically, this place has good old fashioned breakfast plates, Mexican breakfast (huevos rancheros, burritos, etc), and Greek food and stuff for lunch. The menu is vast, yet simple. The old Greek man running the place will make you smile, guaranteed.
I had the breakfast special featured on a poster in the window, which came with tasty potatoes, toast, sausage, and eggs. Everything was good, and I left feeling warm and happy...without having lightened my wallet too much (less than $10!!)! Yum!
I believe this place is a chain, so find one near you! -
Review from Sarah K.
Agreed with all the other reviewers - the owner is adorable and sweet.
This is a great place to go if you want standard breakfast fare.
The pancakes are amazing but warning - incredibly filling! Next time I'll just get two pancakes.
My personal favorite - the amazing coffee station. Delicious flavors and creamers, and to go cups right there, with the nice sippy lids!! Breakfast Cafe - this feature alone is a huge win!
Look forward to going back soon! :) -

Great place for a casual breakfast. The breakfast burrito was very good and enough for two people. I'll be going back soon to try their lunch menu.

Breakfast burrito with 3 eggs and bacon! So freakin' filling! Someone needs to wheel me outa here. Cooked perfectly, my girlfriend got Huevos Rancheros, and she enjoyed it thoroughly! Also one VERY notable thing. The very very kind man who took my order noticed right as we sat down we only had 1 set of utensils, and he immediately brought out another before I could even notice. The little things in customer service go a long way! I'll surely be back and recommending this place! Keep it up amigos!

Oak Park, CA
AWESOME breakfast burritos! I'm sure the rest of their stuff is good, too, but I honestly haven't really tried it. The salsa they put with the breakfast burritos is out of this world. AAAnd here's a tip: you can get bacon, ham, AND sausage in your breakfast burrito, for no extra charge. Plus, the man that owns it works the cash register, and he is the nicest old greek man in the world. DO IT.
This is a pet-friendly establishment! -

Breakfast is soooo simple. Its hard to understand--why do so few get it right?
These guys nailed it! -
Review from Adam E.
SO nice to have this in the place I call the "Bubble" This section if Oak Park really needs a coffee shop like this. The food is good and the place is clean.
I's really hard for me to judge the "servers" because there is not any. It's not hard to stand up yourself and refill your own coffee.
The little man who owns this place is very kind, prompt and clean. You can really tell that he puts his best foot forward here and as a customer I really do appreciate.
It's just some good, classic, and fast American food that you stop by before you go for that Sunday drive.
Enjoy -

Fremont, CA
I have zero complaints about this place. The food was amazing, the service was great, and best of all our food was servedt at lighting speed.
I was here with a group of around 8, all in a post wedding hungover daze. Everyone loved their food. and it was super cheap. I am not from the area, but am definitely having breakfast here next time i am anywhere near it. -

Oak Park, CA
How great to have a "coffee shop" in Oak Park! Everything is excellent here, and don't let the name fool you. Although they serve breakfast all day (Omelettes are excellent, and no extra charge for egg-whites), they have a pretty varied menu and I haven't been disappointed yet. My son says the turkey burger is the best he's had anywhere. Great tuna on toast too.
No waitress service keeps the prices down, and the staff (and owner Nick, who is there all the time) are extremely friendly and helpful. The place is very clean, too. It's easy to see why other restaurants in this space have failed... Breakfast Cafe does the basics right and everything else falls into place. They appear to be doing ok ... I hope it continues and they are there for a long time. -
Review from Paul V.
Breakfast at any time of day and it's not Denny's or iHop?! Thank the Lord.
Star 1 - Was the service good?
You can be absolutely sure that upon walking into the Breakfast Cafe you'll be greeted by either the owner or his wife, which is a great change of pace from the daily grind. From there, service is fast and friendly whether you're eating in or grabbing a bite to go. Star Granted.
Star 2 - How were the portions relative to the cost?
While not as cheap as it comes in terms of breakfast food, Breakfast Cafe offers nicely sized plates and Chipotle-sized Breakfast Burritos for about $6. Star Granted.
Stars 3/4 - Did the food taste good?
Breakfast Burritos are about as straight-forward as they come, and while that makes them difficult to botch, you really need to bring your A-Game if you're going to dish up a good one. Unfortunately, while my Breakfast Burrito was large, relatively cheap, and appeared to be freshly made, none of the flavors really popped out at me, and the provided salsa was quite bland. While I appreciated that it wasn't sopping in grease or fatty sausage, it wasn't the best breakfast burrito I've had in the area. Single Star Granted.
Star 5 - Would you eat it every day if you could?
Breakfast is great, and while I could eat Breakfast Burritos on a daily basis, I don't think I'd get them from Breakfast Cafe on the daily. No Star Granted. -

A great locals breakfast place. The Huevos Rancheros is good, the potatoes are great and the Mickey Mouse Pancake for my son was awesome.

Irvine, CA
Since this is called a breakfast cafe, I went for the pancakes and a side of the breakfast potatoes.
The pancakes were thick and fluffy. They weren't too heavy, which is a common complaint I have about pancakes. Three came in a stack for about 6 bucks. Not a bad deal.
The potatoes were really good, but not as much as the awesome o'brien style at Eggs 'n' Things.
I would probably come back in the future. -
Review from amelia s.
Breakfast Cafe is a solid place for a hearty and quick breakfast. I was surprised and pleased to see the Greek offerings on their menu. Our party had a Greek omelette, pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee. Everything was very tasty, and the portions were generous. Prices are also very reasonable - a winning combination, indeed. We'll be back and will try some of the Greek dishes next time.
This restaurant space is one that I refer to as the "kiss of death" because of the high turnover of the businesses that occupy that location. Hopefully Breakfast Cafe sticks around as it is a good addition to the area. -

Thousand Oaks, CA
I really like this place and I got to say I love having breakfast any time of the day (especially dinner time! That's when the fun is!). I came here a couple of times and I have tried a multitude of things and there are still a couple things I need to try (like them omelettes! One day you shall be mine!). They don't skimp out on the portion size either! I got a breakfast burrito a couple of times and it is just filled with sausage (you have your choice of meat), eggs, potatoes and the insides are layered with cheese. It is quite a hefty size and it could send you on a magical food coma. A good looking friend of mine and I each got a breakfast burrito and chilli cheese fries to share after a long hike, we were so hungry that we doubted the portion sizes and got those chili cheese fries in order to satiate our stomachs. We were so wrong and I was in food coma heaven for the rest of the day (the best kind of heaven there is!). There chili cheese fries are very good too and I can't wait to try their fried zucchini. I also tried some of their lunch fair too. The hamburgers are good and it has a nice sauce that is not over used, and the gyro is very good too and its not dry or anything and plenty juicy. Its not always needed, but the owner is very nice and friendly to talk to. I remember the first time I went there for lunch and he was very nice in striking up a conversation with me and it made my afternoon very pleasant because I felt kind of awkward getting lunch by myself for some reason. I recommend that you should go to this place if you enjoy being happy and rainbows
P.S. They have a very good greek sauce that comes with the burrito. Also I recommend that you pour a little syrup on your burritos because it gives it a nice and unique taste to the burrito. I tried it one time because I used up all the other sauces tehe -

A great new breakfast spot in oak park. This place has a great little coffee bar inside which is all you can drink. This was the first time we went here and I had the breakfast burrito which was scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and cheese. This was a very tasty burrito but the cheese wasnt melted, boo. I did try my girls pancakes which were good but she didnt put enough syrup on it, but dont tell her I said. I believe I met Nick the owner whom was a very nice person. The outside seating is a great addition to a great little place. Great prices to boot.

Delightful replacement for some of the restaurants that were in this location previously. Good food and great pricing. Will accommodate those exceptions that you ask for. The owner, Nick (Greek, of course) is delightful and makes the dining experience fun and adds the personal touch. Good coffee bar where you have a choice of 5 or 6 different flavors and strengths.

I remember the owner from Super Tommy's in Thousand Oaks, especially from his infomercial on TOTV. The breakfast is good and i love the chili cheeseburgers!

Agoura Hills, CA
After having getting tired of the seemingly constant changeovers at this restaurant location, I was somewhat skeptical of this new venture. However, I am very pleased to say that I think this is a winner - - and its about time.
First and most important - - the food was excellent. I ordered the breakfast burrito with everything on it, including sausage, bacon, and ham. The price was about $6. Definitely worth the money because it was delicious and huge. The sauce that came with it was excellent too. I'm ready to try the cheeseburger and gyros next!
I will be back - - and I hope they keep doing what they're doing, it's going to be a huge hit in the neighborhood. -

It took a long time to find a great breakfast spot in T.O. Everything we ate was full of flavor, fresh and made to order. It's self serve ordering and coffee refills, which is a small draw back but not that serious. If you have a little pup they allow dogs on the patio. This was a fab start to my Saturday!

Aptly named this is a great little breakfast place. Also good for take out. I can speak to both now as I just went over for breakfast with my niece. I had a Greek omelette and she had the avocado omelette. Mine was tasty and exactly as advertised. Hers looked good with a generous portion of fresh avocado slices on top.
A side of potatoes and two different sauces (both tasty) and a substitution for the toast that comes with the meal made for two happy girls.
The coffee bar features a nice assortment of coffees and miracle upon miracle, the coffee was actually quite good.
We had carry out twice previously and both times we were pleasantly surprised. Great fries and lots of them. (Too many.) And, one of the best tuna melts I've encountered in my travels in a long time. The chicken dish was very good, too.
Not a fine dining establishment, but nice people trying hard to please and very fair prices with big portions that can be shared.
I agree that this is the best restaurant to come to this location. I hope they make it. -

I had pancakes, my husband had a breakfast burrito. Everything was fine. The fresh squeezed OJ was good! Didn't look that cozy inside (sterile fluorescent lighting) but nice area outside.

For a little cafe style restaurant this place is pretty good. I ate here for the first time this morning and had the chili cheese omelet. I was quite happy with my meal and service. If what you want is a meal give them a try. If you want ambiance try a different place.

Thousand Oaks, CA
I have been here a couple of times now and I must say I am very pleased with the quality, taste, portion, & price for the food. Breakfast items were delicious, and the gyros, Greek salad, and decadent chili cheese fries were awesome for the price. This is a great place to have breakfast, meet a friend for lunch, or sit and read the newspaper while enjoying a meal by yourself. I hope they consider having WiFi available for their customers in the future, as this seems to be a perfect place to come for people that still need to work a little bit on their lunch breaks etc.The staff here is genuinely friendly and hospitable. This is a place that I see myself visiting once or twice a week. Congrats to the owners & staff, keep up the good work!

It's nice to have another restaurant choice in the neighborhood. It was okay for breakfast. Service staff was nice but if you want more coffee it's help yourself. I will try it again to see if it gets better. Prices were very reasonable but food flavor wasn't jumping out at me.
