Well, after months and months of pining, I finally made it to the Breakfast Cafe out in Haverhill. Yep, took the little over an hour trek from Boston to get my Pink Lemonade Pancakes. Dreamed about them the night before. Talked about them all week. Almost mowed down some old people waiting in the line to get in (yes, there was a line to get in- moved fast, though) to order my Pink Lemonade Pancakes. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!

We get there, it's definitely a diner. A diner in a country town, vacant strip mall, type of diner. Small and busy. Very friendly folks inside, friendly folks waiting, and all of the servers/staff were quite friendly and jovial as well.

We get our table, get our menus, and of course, there are NO PINK LEMONADE PANCAKES listed on the menu!!! WTH?! Why are you even open????? The server/owner explains that it's a seasonal thing, and they now have sweet potato pancakes. Great. I get those.

They have this humongous breakfast special for $8.95 called "The Beacon"- every kind of meat, eggs, homefries, toast, and pancakes. It was really filling, good, and the sweet potato pancakes (ASK for the SPECIAL CINAMMON FRUIT BUTTER-you gotta ASK for it) were really, really good.

Everything was great! I wouldn't drive way back out here UNLESS I was coming for the ghost PINK LEMONADE PANCAKES, but if you're in the area, or want to take a nice morning drive for a hearty, tasty, fair priced breakfast- this is YOUR spot!

    They are ONLY open 6am-1pm.

p.s. I forgot, they serve REAL maple syrup here, and applewood smoked bacon!

    I made it!!!

I stopped at Breakfast Cafe in Bradford for a late Saturday breakfast after cruising down 93 South from Londonderry NH, 213 Connector, 495 North, and Ward Hill Connector to MA 125 North (24 minute ride). I arrived here around 12:43PM, only several minutes to spare before the 1PM closing time. I was the last customer of the day.

Anyways, Breakfast Cafe was formerly Town & Country Cafe, where I had a "not so great" breakfast a while back. I would not return here, but since Breakfast Cafe is now under new management, I decided to give this place a Yelp. The layout is pretty much the same as before with a fully carpeted dining room with rows of tables along the walls and a counter area and kitchen in the back. The staff seemed like they were in a rush to clean up the place and boogie out of the place as quickly as possible.

I was offered coffee ($1.50) and given a menu as soon as I sat myself at a clean table.  The coffee was brewed just right. The menu offerings include the standard breakfast fare including egg dishes, bennies, omelets, pancakes, French toast, hash, etc. Fresh brewed New England Coffee is served here. The prices are reasonable (under $10), in line with other breakfast places in the area.

I quickly decided on the Greek Omelet ($6.95) served with homefries and toast (wheat) and chose Egg Beaters (add $1) for the omelet. The food was cooked to order and served in under 10 minutes. The omelet was tasty, a big folded halfmoon shaped Egg Beater with plentiful warm toppings stuffed in between including spinach, black olives, tomatoes, and Feta cheese. The homefries were good, fresh cut diced potatoes grilled brown and crispy outside. The wheat toast were good sized slices already buttered.

The service was very rushed and my waitress left the check at my table (total $10.11 with tax), about two minutes after I started eating breakfast. She needed for me to cash out, as all of the receipts of the day were being tallied by the owner. I gave exact change for the check (before tip) and continued with my breakfast. I was offered another cup of coffee before I left, which I definitely needed (I need caffeine!) The staff thanked me for stopping in.

Overall, the breakfast was good and I would return to Breakfast Cafe again. Next time I would stop in here at an earlier time when it's not so rush-rush to close up.

    OPEN 6AM-1PM Daily
