Recommended for a quick lunch here after a business meeting.
The soup (lamb and barley) and chicken sandwich was tasty and is at very reasonably price ($6.95), and I know I tasted a very good bread, unwared that they baked it right there initially.
Found out there is a bakery at the back selling all kinds of goodies.
End up ordering a whole apple bread cake for dessert even we were so full and was not going to eat dessert.
And then I bought a few packs of the Lavendar shortbread cookies ($5.45 a dozen) for gifts, a loaf of Rosemarry bread at only $4.
Decors are very different with many antique-like stuff.,
Staff are very friendly,
Food served are ofbquality and has good variaty of choices in the menu.
Will go there again next trip for sure! -

The Breadline has an eclectic menu and environment. My first visit, I had their Ellensburg'er which was sliced leg of lamb on a focaccia bun with cabbage doused in tatsziki served with garlic fries. This was the best not a burger I've had, but Lamburger may have been more accurate.
There were some issues with service, our server was not invisible as I prefer wait staff to seem; she interrupted continually, was very loud and ultimately charged for a few items she had forgotten to bring to the table, though that was fixed without argument.
For this part of the state - The Breadline is a winner, the service ,ust have been a fluke. -

Such a cool place in good ole Omak!
I made it here with a couple of my best friends. They invited me up here for dinner and concert here (The Paperboys from Vancouver were in town and they rocked the ole "Omak Hotel"!).
The restaurant is surprisingly big for this country town. I think a restaurant like this could easily be plopped down in any major metropolis and do just fine. The menu is extensive and has many tasty options. I went with the Prime Rib special (medium well). My steak was well presented, and mouthwateringly good! I had an Azteca Margarita with it as well as a Recess Peanut Butter cup drink (it was near Halloween, so I just had to!). I topped everything with a Pink Cookie: yum!
The bar is nicely decorated and built of dark welcoming wood. The ambiance, decor, and layout of the dining area is inviting and dare I say living-room-ish (by this, I mean it was welcoming and comfortable).
It was so cool to be having some world class food right here in downtown Omak (town famous for the Suicide Race in August). Perfection was achieved by having our meal with a very cool band. My friends and I got up a time or two to cut the rug----hey, if some ska is to be played, nothing can keep me from skankin' to the beat!!
If you're in Omak, do make a visit to the Breadline. You won't regret! -

San Francisco, CA
This was definitely my favorite restaurant in Omak probably because it's really similar to something that would be in Seattle or Portland. There's a ton of antiques and junk hanging from the ceiling and off the walls. I remember an old bike and a California flag among other things.
We came here for a pretty late lunch (4:30 ish) upon the recommendation of a bunch of locals up at the PSIS. One thing I noticed were a bunch of veggie sandwiches and salads, I passed on these and got a french dip and a strawberry lemonade. The food was pretty standard, but not amazing. I would go back just because the place is really quirky among the fast food along the highway here.
Also cool is there is a bakery "downstairs" from the restaurant. It's basically a few steps away from the bathroom. The bakery seemed to be slices of cake and other pastries wrapped in saran. I passed on that. -

Best sandwich spot in Omak. Everything is fresh and fun. Don't leave with out something from the bakery, cup cakes were really good.

Seattle, WA
I'd still give this 4 stars in Seattle; actually, I wish it *were* in Seattle, so it could be my casual neighborhood cafe. Good food, good service, fun atmosphere.
They have a bread bar so you can sample the output of their bakery - it's nothing extraordinary but it's a little more interesting than just getting a basket of rolls at your table. -

Pretty neat especially for little Omak. It is a must try, the food and service were both good.

We found this restaurant to be a "hidden gem"! Fresh, local produce in our salads and sandwiches, fresh baked bread & rolls. The four of us enjoyed everything about this very cute restaurant - especially the food. I believe it to be one of the very best values in the northwest with prices low to moderate - what a pleasant surprise! And the coffee is excellent!

Eclectic setting, eclectic food. Sprawled out across an old building two blocks off Main St, this restaurant has surprises like lamb crepes. Very good salad, and generous side servings of veggies like sauteed squash.

In Seattle, The Breadline would not be a "4-star", but for Omak, I almost gave it a 5. This place has a very funky decor... amusing, and clearly done "on the cheap". It's always pretty busy, so the locals like it. The menu is very eclectic... something for everyone... American-Asian-Greek-Italian-Steak-Etc. Have eaten here a half a dozen times and never been disappointed by a dish. Service is also quite good... especially "Dee" who is very gracious, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
