I've been wanting to check out this yoga/Pilates studio for a while and finally started joining their classes a few weeks ago. I really like the classes are generally not crowded so you get more individual attention. So I got really sad to hear they were one of the businesses that was affected by the huge fire a week ago. I really hope they find a new home and stay in business!

I got to try Bread and Yoga after purchasing a Groupon for 10 classes.  To be frank, I've grown weary of Groupon deals.  I find that I rarely return to a place once the Groupon is finished.  Granted, I'm still in my Groupon period.  That being said, Bread and Yoga is an exception to the Groupon Rule.

The space is about as hidden and secluded as you get in Inwood.  The studio is sparse and bare but, also welcoming and unpretentious.  The staff is very sweet and good natured.  The instructors are deceptively kind.  By that I mean, you'd never think people so nice could push you so far.  These are professionals, people.  There is no pressure, there is no judgment and there's always an accommodation made if you cannot fully execute any pose.  I was particularly taken when my instructor talked to me after class (a class with 12 - 15 people) something she had noticed about me.  It means a lot.

While I haven't tried and culinary exploits here, I have to imaging that if the bread is as good as the yoga, its going to be some of the best bread you've had in a while.

We purchased a Groupon for here and really didn't know what to expect.  We were up for something new and exciting so we decided to select the Asian Fusion cooking course to attend.

Getting to the location was super-easy and its situated directly off of the train stop.  We arrived a little late, but all the same we were still welcomed and brought into the group for the experience.  The group size was comfortable + diverse, all the attendees were very friendly, the atmosphere was freeing + cozy and the instructor was amazing.  She was truly knowledgeable of healthy foodie options as well as cooking techniques.  She was a great teacher and interestingly enough taught us a little about the establishment and its unique mix between Yoga and cooking.

Lastly, the food prepared was absolutely amazing!  We are definitely looking into taking another course here and buying one for our parents.  I would highly recommend that you go and enjoy yourself.  Its a great way to educate yourself on simple techniques to incorporate into your daily food practices :)

Okay- first of all I'm no a Yogi type, I'm not "granola", and I could loose a few pounds...but all that aside after trying this stuff out I have to say- "this place is awesome!" It's very clean, warm and welcoming...there's classes for every type and now with the lower prices you can't go wrong! I felt really good after my first class and was very impressed with the staff. They were so unpretentious and helped slower types like me. I'm looking forward to the cooking classes too. Bread and Yoga is in a really convenient location near the A train so I can pop in before heading downtown for work. I'd encourage everyone to support this new place. It's really something.

Airy, loft-style space with big south-facing windows, perfect for yoga.  Staff are low-key and nice.  Instructors are EXCELLENT, especially Grace. Every time I leave here, I feel refreshed, with a smile on my face.   The location is pretty much perfect: right on top off 207th St. Station on the A train.

A welcome addition to Inwood - all the instructors here are truly amazing and clearly love what they do. Wonderful personalities, highly in tune with the students, with a strong desire to give each and every one of us individualized attention. They've barely been open a month, and I already love this place. Head over now while they're still doing opening specials!
