Review from Andrea U.

I've been here twice. The first time I had a mediocre sandwich to go for $7.75. Not memorable.
The second time was yesterday. The waitress told me the soup of the day was "Lentapewqourpoewudfju"
"Lentil??" I asked
"Lentiquelitasrearjwe" she replied in a not quite audible whisper
"What is that?"
She walked away, returned about 5 minutes later and said, "some chicken parts."
I ordered the quiche Lorraine, since I figured it'd be quick. 15-25 minutes later, I received really foul looking shrimp crepes (or extra foul looking shrimp quesadillas). Whatever it was appeared to be full of tiny freeze dried shrimp in viscus yellow sauce.
"Is this quiche Lorraine."
"Yes, it is quelorrainella"
"OK...can I please have my bill now?"
The manager appeared.
"Look, I'm really in a hurry, I'll just eat this."
"No no, your quiche will be up right now."
"Fine, can I just please have my bill."
5 minutes later, I was granted a poorly microwaved quiche-- just shy of frozen in the middle and searing hot along the crust. I still hadn't received the check.
2 stars because I could tell that the quiche would have been just fine under other circumstances, and at least the manager tried to make things better. -

Accessible via the metro on the Yellow Line (Eisenhower)
It's located near the AMC Hoffman theater. I never cared too much for the food here but my wife comes here for the french onion soup. They carry European bread and a small selection of baked goods. Recently, they've changed their menu and now serve American food due to customer demand. Service isn't that great since the waiters never write down our order and as a result, bring us the wrong food or forget to bring us what we ordered.
Ruby Tuesday and Ted's Montana Grill which are located in the same area carry better food. -

This Bread & Chocolate location shutdown! Was it the terrible user reviews from Yelp or the terrible economy? Or both?
Either way hopefully this place get replaced by a decent restaurant.1 Previous Review: Show all »

The chocolate fondue was served cool and the staff spent more time talking to each other than serving us.

I did once love going here because thier onion soup was just amazing and they seemed different from other "americanized" type joints. Anway, the staff there has always been a bit on the slow side and not very attentive at all and extremely forgettful. If you don;t have a photo memory which most of us dont then please WRITE down my order instead of either comming back 20min later to ask me to repeat it after I'm already expecting it any minute. Or bringing me out the WRONG order and then getting all pissy about having to do it over when it was THEIR fault anyway. Last time we ate there they had completely changed the menu and made it cater towards those "americanized" diner type places which basiclaly made me angry since those other customers can just go to OTHER places if they want american food and yet if somone like me want's thier european style food they just have nowhere to go anymore. If you do end up trying the place out, i'd get thier desserts and i'd defiently try the French Onion soup since it's probably the only authentic item left on thier menu.
