I love the Brea Mall. It's big and it has a variety of stores to choose from. The Food Court is good and it's the only mall in my area that has a Sephora and Guess. Oh, and it has Coach AND Michael Kors stores. Needless to say, the malls in my town suck big lollipops! haha

The only store I DO NOT LIKE in the Brea Mall is Forever 21. Of all the beautiful and huge Forevers that I've been to, this one just isn't up to par. It's always messy. It's not organized at all. It's small.

If you're looking for a nice Forever, go to Pasadena or Cerritos.

Otherwise, the Brea Mall it's a great place to shop.

One thing on my bucket list is to shop at as many malls possible.  "I'm a material girl, 'cuz I live in a material world."  So I've kept my own mental reviews of malls in the United States (even way before Yelp was a zygote form of cyber existence).  I visit malls like how a tourist person would collect memorable shot glasses and magnets.

I was hooked on coming to the Brea Mall because I stayed home with my daughter for 9 straight months, and experienced some severe cabin fever around by month #3.  What's a stay-at-home mommy like me going to do on the days when all the laundry is all done and bottles are washed?  Should I stay at home to watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians, or go to the mall and shop like the Kardashians?  Of course go the mall with my baby daughter in tow!

Brea Mall is very mommy friendly for women who have babies and women who are nursing their babies every 2 hours.  The bathrooms are large and always clean, and so are their lounges.  You get privacy.  The only thing they need to work on is adding another elevator for mommies who use double strollers.  The elevator that all the parents line up for is too small, and the elevator doors seems to close too fast on you.  Be careful with hands and arms while entering.

Brea is a fun mall to visit whenever I'm having a bad day. The people who shop there aren't the loud, bratty, obnoxious teens that you find in let's say, Cerritos Mall.  The sales people very pleasant because they probably don't have to deal with obnoxious customers.  Everyone is just chill.  I think it has the right combination of stores in one spot.  My favorite places to go are Sephora, JC Penny, Apple, and Nordstroms.  Food Court area is huge.

Lots of hidden treasures awaiting.  I know I'll really regret posting this later, but I must say that I always score on the best stuff on clearance at Brea, while everyone else makes an failed attempt to bargain shop at South Coast Plaza.

Lastly, if I had a choice, I'd rather go to Brea Mall during the hectic Christmas season, than anywhere else!

Probably have to say its one of the malls I like to go to.  There are some nice shops here that you may not find in other malls like say the Apple store.  Never have problems with parking and the mall is pretty big itself.  Food court is good and have some nice restaurants around the area like Cheesecake Factory.

You still get your major department stores like Macy's, but if I don't go to South Coast Plaza, probably I'll be going to this mall.

Brea Mall will always hold a special place in my heart.  Once I could drive, Christmas shopping went from tagging along with my mom and dad and having them pay for stuff to doing full-on three-hour trips that would take forty-five minutes without the crowds.  It was the 1990s, and although I never could quite find anything I wanted at Egghead Software sort of across the street, I did usually get a thing or four from Brea Mall.

And then my worldview changed or at least got more consistent, and I did a couple of one-man protests here.  I was maybe twenty-one or twenty-two at the time, but I didn't budge when the plainclothes mall security tried to intimidate me, and when they threatened to call the cops, I told them to go right ahead.  When the cops arrived, I told them that under California law, privately owned mall parking lots were considered semi-public places, so as long as I wasn't blocking the sidewalk, I could pass out as many anti-sweatshop flyers to passersby as I wanted.  The cop talked to the security guard and left.  The security guard didn't say another word to me, and I soon went into the mall and tried passing out flyers there.

The layout is really confusing.  That's all right.  It's funny to get lost while driving here but know you'll always end up just around the corner.  Or at that weird Outback Steakhouse that's in the strangest location in the history of Outback Steakhouses, Bay Area doozies included.

State College.  Bobby McGee's (with its strange toilet novelty mugs).  That parking structure on the northwest side that made absolutely no sense and was a nightmare to get out of anytime in December or January.

I remember bringing clothes I got for Christmas on January 2 or 3.  It was the first time I had ever returned things for myself, and although I got the deed done in three hours, I knew my mom was right; it was really stupid and a waste of time to try to do returns so soon after Christmas.

I was raised in North Orange County and spent a lot of time here growing up (we also used to "hang out" here in high school sooo many years ago), and still think this is a nice mall after all these years.

The Brea Mall still has the nicer department stores, Nordstrom and Macy's, and some of my favorite shops, such as Bebe, MAC Cosmetics, Apple, Victoria's Secret, and Aveda.

After a long day of shopping, The Cheesecake Factory or BJ's Restaurant provide a nice place to stop and eat. Glen Ivy is a beautiful spa that can provide some serious TLC after some busy holiday shopping.

The Food Court is also really good here, and they still have the same Cinnabon and Orange Julius that were here when I was a kid.

This mall is a bit older but still very well maintained and beautiful. The customer service at most of the stores is also really good here.

After all these years, I still think the Brea Mall is still a great place to shop, especially in North Orange County area.

Who was the architect that designed this confusing maze? AKA the Brea Mall.

I find myself often times getting lost at this place or backtracking because I forgot to buy something from a store I passed. The walk path for this place is like a star. You come out of Nordstrom and to get to the Apple Store; you have to do 5 turns, take the escalator, and go through the secret backdoor behind Victoria Secret.

If you ever wanted to visit. I say: PASS

This is the closest mall to where I live so if I need to buy something at a store that isn't in Whittier (which is about 90% of stores) I come here. You can usually always find parking with the exception being during the holiday season. They also have a couple of parking garages but I don't like parking in those unless I'm with my boyfriend. They also have valet during the holiday season.

The mall itself is oddly shaped and even though I'm usually here once a week I can still manage to get confused as to where some stores are. Another odd thing about this mall is that it has duplicates of certain stores. There are two Victoria's Secret and two Forever 21. They way they distinguish between the two is one store sells clothes and lingerie and the other sells accessories, perfume and makeup.

There is a good mix of stores in the mall. They have everything from an Apple Store to Sephora to Nordstrom and everything in-between. The only place they need to improve on is the food court. I remember when I was in middle school there was tons of well known eateries there. They had Carl's Jr, Marie Callender's Express, Arby's, Sbarro, A&W and Hot Dog on a Stick among others. When I visited yesterday all the food places were independently owned eateries with the exception of Taco Bell and Hot Dog on a Stick.

I am so happy with this store customer service.  Last year, I purchased my Christmas presents @ this store.  This year I did the same, luckily 3 days later, I had to go to the Marine Recruit base and I found the coach merchandise offered at lower price plus 20% xmas bonus given at register.
I called brea mall coach they advised no problem and professionally honor the returned of merchandise with no hazzle.  There professionalism is great.  The only bad thing it takes 5 working days for return to post back into my account.  I hightly recommed the product and this store to any civilian.  Semper Fidelis

I wish it were closer. I'm not a mall-goer. I hate shopping, truthfully, but this place makes it bearable and I even have FUN while I'm here! I know, I know, I'm so easily amused.

There's just too many good stores here to deny it's pretty much the best mall around. I'm sure they're proud of the layout. H&M, Forever 21, Windsors, VS, Apple, MAC, Suncoast, Macy's, Nordstrom, etc. Hell, there's even a Coach in there. Definitely a decent selection.

There's also a nice food court and there's lots of tasty restaurants around! Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Red Robin, BJ's, Cheesecake Factory, and one of my personal favorites down the road... THE HAT! I love going to the mall then having lunch at The Hat.

I like this mall SO much, in fact, that I don't mind taking the 57 freeway (the ACTUAL highway from hell) to get to it. That says something.

Brea Mall is fairly decent. Macy's and Nordstrom have wide selections and the latter has great customer service. There are many trendy stores including H&M, Forever 21, Guess, Bebe, Express, Victoria's Secret, Steve Madden, and Windsors. There's also Coach and Apple.

There's a large food court, many fast food restaurants, and a good amount of popular chains nearby including BJ's, The Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, Red Robin, and Red Lobster.

I grew up going to this mall since 1993. Back then it was a place of it's own, it really was. Regardless if there were countless malls that all seemed to be the same, but this Mall really stood out to me for some reason.

I think mainly it was the food court (I'm talking 1993-1994 here) and it having a few stores that no other mall within a 20 mile radius had at that time. But it was also a hangout. I'd bike a good 4-5 miles everday on my little bmx bike just to go hang out there all day. Sampling the food court and so forth, spending a majority of my time in Suncoast (They're gone now-argh!) and they also used to have a Coca-Cola store there that was fantastic! Not there anymore, but hey, places change, it's been years and years now.

I've been there off since moving from Fullerton in 1995. Now that I am back here residing in the Tri-City area, I can say that I still enjoy this mall. I will say, It's not like it used to be. It's really evolved into becoming much more like the rest of the Malls you go to. But hey...we're in these times.

Now I'm in there and I enjoy to the best of it.

I still like it more than the other Malls out there! But hey, that's just me.

When I don't require a drive to SCP, I head to the Brea Mall. Located off Imperial right by the 57, it's easy to find with many entrances and exits. Parking is a cinch with its huge, open lot (there's also a covered lot by Nordstrom). The Brea Mall has the stores [Aveda, Nordstrom, Sephora, Pottery Barn, etc...] I need with the type of merchandise I buy. Customer Service has always been friendly in every store I've visited. There's a good selection of chains (BJ's, Cheesecake Factory, etc...) and a few indie eateries too (on the lot site--not inside). I love the Brea Mall. I've been shopping here for almost 20 years and will continue to do so as a North OC resident.

So many good stores and it has an Apple Store!

I've always like Brea mall because it has a large Nordstroms, it has an Apple Store, and it has a lot of stores.  Its not comparable to South Coast just because Brea doesn't have the high class stores.

The only thing that "bugged" me while visiting Brea mall recently was their was a lot of gnats flying around almost each store.  I don't if its the weather or the time of the year but, It felt icky inside.

Also, I think they only have one parking structure which is next to Nordstroms.  On a hot day, one parking structure is not enough.  =)  But then again, Cerritos mall doesnt even have ONE.

This is THE mall I 'v been shopping at for years, its getting better and better after so many remodeling of different stores, and new stores.

Love Macy's women, men, Nordstrom, Bebe, Guess, BR, Forever 21, Steve Madden, VS, H & M, Coach... etc, all my favorite stores I can find in one location, and it is close to my home too!

Love the food court too, always need some snacks during shopping breaks! :) there are some restaurants on site, and  there are many  restaurants nearby, downtown Brea is so close, its a good hangout place after shopping. :)

Some ppl want premium designer things, go to Nordstrom, they have a department carry lots of high end designer collections. some ppl may think this mall is not ''high end'' enough, but its not like we can afford that kind of things everyday? :P

This mall is perfect for me because it fits my shopping strategy, High-Low style, I mix pricey things with cheap things, I can find all the brands I need to do that in this mall. :)

This is a mall a shopaholic ( me ) can go shopping every week, a good daytime activity before my Saturday dinner date, in the neighborhoods, easy and so much fun!

This place is pure mayhem - the place is always packed. There's a good selection of stores (from cheap places like Papaya and Wet Seal, to semi-high-end like Bebe and Cache), so its a good place to go find everything you need. There's also a huge food court and plenty of different restaurants to refuel as your shop. But with the pure magnitude of stores here, there also seems to be little to no floor space left within each... every store feels extremely cramped. If you're okay with bobbing and weaving as you make your way around... power to you!

Eh...i don't like this mall. if it wasn't so close to my school (CSUF) i wouldn't bother. This mall used to be one of my favs but now its annoying. It's filled with annoying people that walks super slow, it's filled with annoying teenagers on a damn tuesday afternoon, it's filled with annoying college frat guys tryin to "holla" at you. -__- lame!!!!

The forever21 sucks here, food court is bleh, NOT TO MENTION THIS MALL IS CONFUSING AS FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's up with that extra secret hiding section where i think Nordstrom and JC penney's is located at??? (not too familiar with this mall but it's where Charlotte Russe and Abercrombie and Fitch is). There must of been numerous times where i walked around in circles and  did a full 360 on myself because i realized either i've been through this section before OR there wasn't any good stores in that section.

Also, there seem to be an endless amount of annoying hair curlers/straighteners kiosks stands. THEY'RE FREAKIN EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! I was walking in the lower section and this is what happened:

*Cynthia walking past the kiosk minding her own business, not even turning her head to look at hair straighteners*
Annoying heavy-accent guy: "Escusee miss? Vant tew try......."
*Cynthia continues to walk further away...*
Annoying guy: Escusse me? Escusse me? x5

Really now!?!!? REALLY!?!?!? I'm walking away from you can't you see!?!?! If i don't turn around after the 3rd "escusse me?" just give up dude!!!!! i am NOT interested in your product OR those damn sample skin lotion packet you always try to force me to take during my previous trips. It had when we needed. A Macy's. It's a pretty standard mall. I bet it's owned by the same people that own Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton.

Second best mall in the OC next to SCP.  Came here to walk off a some calories after Olive Garden.  Lucky we found parking so I am just going to walk.  Definitely a bunch of stores to go to.

    Favorites: Nordstroms, BR, and Apple

For the ladies: Express, H&M, Michael Kors, Sephora, Victoria's Secret, Bath&body, and plenty more

Good selection of food outside the mall and inside the mall.

Food places in area:  Olive Garden, Genghis Khan, Red Robbin, Cinnabon, Mrs. Fields, Cheesecake Factory, Red Lobster, and more

    Here are my ratings:

    Store selection: 4.5
    Food: 4
    Location: 4.5
    Parking: 3

Since I am from the IE now, I do not go here as often.  But when I cannot find something at my neck of the woods I go either here or SCP since there are usually different buyers at OC stores.

I was born in Brea like literally a minute drive from the Brea Mall, so needless to say I've been here about 100 billion times. This mall used to be my favorite, and I would come here long after moving from Brea to other places in OC.

Brea Mall has a good: MAC, Sephora, Apple (ALWAYS overly crowded), Nordstrom, Express, For Love 21, Victoria Secret, and food court.

Bad: Forever21 (don't even get me started, I don't know why I always think I'm going to have anything but an awful experience at this place and I'm always wrong), H&M, Robert Wayne, and those SUPER annoying italian guys that want to curl your hair every five feet (like seriously, do they freaking grow these guys here or what, where did they find so many annoying seemingly straight Italian guys with such a passion for curling like 3 strands of your hair?)

It seems like every time I come here lately I like this mall less and less. It just seems so disorganized, overly crowded, and feels more like I'm doing a chore than engaging in a little retail therapy.  Also, I've noticed everyone walks slower than the average slow mall walker here! What's with that? Like did you come here just to walk in the middle of all the aisles really slow and leave? Or did you actually come here to shop for something. And why do people always try to cut in front of me in line at the elevators when I come with my sister and niece? Hopefully, this is all just due to Christmas and will go back to not being so bad soon.

Also PLEASE stop texting and pushing a stroller at the same time, I don't care how many times you've done it and how good you think you are YOU ARE IN THE WAY. Move please. There have been many benches and seating areas installed that are perfect for all your sit down texting not stroller pushing needs. End rant.

This is the closest mall to Whittier, so I come whenever I need to visit Nordstrom's or Sephora... Which isn't too often.

I like the mall. Parking can get kind of crazy on the weekends and Fridays. I like to park on the rooftop of the structure next to Nordstrom's, when I can find a space there.

They have Urban Outfitters, H & M, Hot Topic, good teenager stores. They also have Crabtree and Evelyn, The Body Shop, MAC, and Sephora for those who like that body and skincare and makeup stuff. There's also a Macy's for men for... men.

The food court is great! They have a Loving Hut for the vegan among us, Mongolian BBQ, Hot Dog on a Stick, Cinnabun, Coldstone!

I still get lost because the mall is an odd shape. I have a very off sense of direction. But I do like this mall, and I come here when I need to indulge in some retail therapy.

This mall is in a pretty nice location right off the 57 freeway and close to many cities such as Diamond Bar, Hacienda Heights, Fullerton, Chino Hills and so fourth. But for some reason they don't have that many nice places to shop in.

The stores here are pretty random and the way the mall is shaped is pretty strange. I would say they should cut out a few stores and place some bathrooms because the thing about it is that there are only bathrooms at the major department stores and all others have none. I asked security why that is and they just said it is because of the design of the mall.

Start all over and come up with something new and better is what I say. But in America they don't like destroying something that isn't broken yet. This mall does work and it does have lots of stores that some people like. But to me this mall is ok. I do like the French little cafe inside the mall but either than that the food court is really horrible serving things like Taco Bell and no name Spanish fast food joints.

One thing I would say is pretty alright with the mall is they care a lot about people sitting around inside the mall. Mainly I think that is for the kids and the Dads that have to wait for the Moms and daughters to finish shopping.

This mall isn't as bad as Montebello but it still isn't a great standard.

When you have to go to a mall, this one isn't bad.  All the usual mall stores are here and all the other reviews have named them, so you know what to expect.  I'll never understand how these places are entertaining for people.

And the universal rule of mall parking applies - park by Sears because no one's ever going there.

This is my home mall, bitches. Yeah, I know that there's Bay Street and there's the Westfield Center in the City, but I've lived in Brea since I was 10, and I've been going to the mall since then too.

It's changed. Stores have changed, but the main stores - Macy's, Sears, JCPenny, and Nordstorm haven't. They have a very big H&M, a decent sized Forever 21, a nice For Love [which is the accessories for Forever21], Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters, Hollister, Abercrombie, and much much more. I think that there is a variety of different clothing stores for the teenages, but also for the moms as well.

The food is decent here. The food court has pretty average food. The restaurants around are much better. There is a Red Robin, CPK, the French restaurant, Le Diplomate Cafe, and others. There's also an Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Cheesecake Factory, and BJ's right in the same area. There are much more restaurants as well across the street.

Parking here does suck, especially since I did decide to go most recently on Black Friday. I had my mom drop me off and pick me up later so it was a lot easier, but the best parking spots as said by others is in the Nordstorm parking lot across the street from the Community Center.

The layout might be weird to some people, but its comfortable to me. I know where everything is and that's the way I like it. There's like two central places with a corridor that connects the two. One goes towards the two Macy's and Sears; the other one goes to JCPenny and Nordstorm. Once you understand this, it's a lot easier to get from one place to another.

Brea Mall. I love you. I will miss you once I move to SF once and for all.
