9 reviews for Brea Creek Golf Course
Honestly I am not giving three stars out of five, because the way the course is or the price to shoot nine holes. But the people who play here are absolutely ridiculous. EFF YOU GUYS WHO DON'T FIX THE DIVOTS YOU CREATE ON THE GREENS. EFF BIG EGOS WHO USE A DRIVER ON THE PAR 3, WHICH ENDS UP ON MY FAIRWAY.
but in all seriousness, it's a executive 9 hole, and for the price, it's good practice for the amateur golfer. JUST NOT FOR THOSE WHO KEEP EFFING AROUND THE COURSE. YOU AIN'T TIGER.
I used to come to this course for the $8 burger and bucket deal (tasty synergies with Brea's Best burger shop down the street) but now its $7 for a medium bucket, the driving range is a dirt field, and they took away the garbage can I used to aim at for fun.
If you're just hitting the range, head over to Fullerton Golf Course on Harbor. You have to pay $10 for a range card, but it gets you twice as many balls AND they have a fun target AND the driving range is grassy.
I came here with a friend once to be his caddy. I was originally going to play a round with him and he was going to help me along since I was just a beginner, but once we got down to the first tee, there was a long line comprised of a bunch of cranky elderly people waiting to tee off at their EXACT tee time. Ugh. So annoying....so I went back in the office and got my money back and just caddied, I didn't want to make people wait any longer for my bunk ass to play badly and have someone possibly have a heart attack because of me.
Anyway, once we got to walk through the course you would never think you were in the middle of Brea. It was nice and quiet, but at one point one of the adjacent schools went on recess and it was a little loud then, but I think the school tells the kids to steer clear of the area.
Some of the people can be rude here too (e.g. the elderly people in line), but there was also some white trash playing one hole behind us that kept giving us shit because I guess we were in their way. What-evrrrrr. We'll see when I go back to finally play a round.

So apparently, this place was recently purchased by Billy Casper Golf Management...big f**kin whoop?
Who are you, Billy Casper? Obviously, you play (or played) golf. Lemme ask you a couple questions...
-First, do you like when there is a newbie 3-some in front of you playing with one set of clubs between the 3 of them?
-Do you like it when there's no one to regulate the first tee, resulting in huge backup on the 2nd and 3rd holes, causing you to wait there with your thumb up your culo?
Yeah, I didn't think so...
I came here last Saturday with some of my boys and this stuff actually transpired. We could only squeeze in a couple holes before turning around and bouncing. I have always loved this place, but this was really a bummer.
Listen Billy, I know this isn't Pebble Beach. I know I won't be rubbing elbows with Tiger. I know it's where the newbie goes to learn...I get it. But in this case, its not the newbie's fault...it's yours. I mean, could it really hurt to have the guy in the clubhouse maybe glance out the huge window that overlooks the 1st tee box to maybe regulate just a teeny bit?
Look Billy, you bought the joint and splattered your name all over the place. You've jacked up the price, installed an automated tee-time reservation service and updated the clubhouse fridge. When I first saw this, I thought wow, these guys must mean business. But all that stuff doesn't amount to a hill of shit if I can't even finish 9 measly holes before sundown.
I would compare Brea Creek to a nice restaurant with great décor and ambience and new appliances, but serves kinda shitty food.
Get it together, Billy...you're real close.

$10 (through online rsvp) to play nine slutty holes with golf cart rental? Well, slap my inner thigh until it's red and call me a bacon choir boy! In other words, it's a bargain. Mostly par 3s but the course is pretty challenging...especially for someone who hasn't played in over three years. Ugh.
And fuck you to whoever placed a beer bottle behind the rear tire of my parked car! I'm not mad that I ran over it. I'm mad that it was a bottle of Bud Light. Ewww. And there was still beer in it. Didn't your daddy (who is also your brother) teach you any better?!

Not a bad place to play for the price. For a 9 hole, par 3 course, it is pretty challenging. The course is maintained pretty well.
The driving range is pretty boring though. It's difficult to dial in the distance you are hitting a particular club since they don't have distance markers.
3 stars = 1 for the price, 2 for the convenience and 3 for a good twilight round.
Let's face it, you really can't beat paying $10 to play 9 holes, no matter where you are. The course is fairly maintained although the greens can tend to be a little rough. There are a few water holes which can be a fun challenge.
The staff is standard golf course pro shop personality - what one would expect I guess. The main issue we run into is over-booking. There is always multiple golfers waiting to tee off at the first hole which gets annoying. This is a good place to come on a weekday afternoon after work to play a quick round and drink a few beers.
Ok 9 hole course. One creek comes into play on a couple holes. Pretty straight forward layout. Good place to start before hitting up the 18 hole courses. Makes for a fun day
A nine hole mostly par 3 course (there are 2 fours) with a challenging layout, as a Creek runs through it. An ideal move up course from ptich and putt courses prior to hitting the longer courses. Adequate mainenance, though it gets full in the afternoons. in the summer provides a great nine hole repast for us work serfs angling to get our golf jones out. You can also book tee times online, but its really never hard to get on in the weekdays. Weekends do get full though,
