Nice and helpful staff, and adorable, affordable lingerie. My only hesitation in giving them a fifth star is that they don't have a huge selection, but I found an awesome piece online that they had in the store in my size for $35, so I can't complain at all. It's soft, comfortable, and flattering (all rareties in lingerie), and hot! Yea!
I will definitely return for any future lingerie needs, and perhaps for some new bras, which they were upselling very tactfully. -

The incredibly helpful proprietor gave me a bra education unlike any one I'd had before. She was quite accommodating to my many questions and I found a bra I liked. I noticed that they also seem to have a wide selection of maternity/nursing bras.

A great lingerie store in - INWOOD?!?!? Yes that's right ladies, beautiful lil nothings are yours for the taking at Brazen. This has to be the only non-hoochie mamma lingerie store for miles and miles in this hood. The owner is super nice and her selections range from cutesy to classy and sometimes really glitzy (the rhinestone bra in the window drew me in). Very nice quality stuff - and since you live in Inwood, you can afford it!

Dyckman Street is really at a crossroads. There are still a lot of 99 cent stores populating it, but more and more cute, independent boutiques like Brazen are popping up! Brazen stocks classy, pretty, and sexy lingerie as well as body oils and lotions. They also have a nursing section and the owner mentioned that she runs a support group for new moms once a month too.

Established in 2008
It was pretty simple. After being frustrated in having to trek around town only to deal with aggressive salespeople, I decided to open my own lingerie shop.
Meet the Business Owner: Anina Y.
I had a retail website prior to opening up a brick-and-mortar shop. I've bought and owned lingerie for myself for years. I don't like aggressive salespeople telling me something fits when it obviously doesn't - especially when I'm pregnant and my hormones are out of whack. I don't like not being allowed to look through things before purchasing. Being shown one bra in one color is not a choice - it's one bra! Bring me everything you have and let ME decide.
Don't know if that makes me more qualified than anyone else to open a shop, but I did anyway.
