Hands Down the BEST brazilian steak house I have ever been to.
The meat (16 kinds!) comes fast, if you don't turn over your card you WILL have more meat than you know what to do with on your plate.
The "salad bar" is amazing. The selection of everything from salad to seafood will be bringing you back again and again. -

if you are not in the mood for a huge meal, but want to try this place, sit at the bar and order the ahi app and the meat platter - perfect for two people - food is fabulous and atmosphere is perfect! This was our fourth trip to Key West, but first time at the Braza Lena - we WILL go there again......

I'm not a fan. This is a cheap knock off of the "Fogo De Chao" restaurant chain. They missed out on the quality of food from "Fogo De Chao" but they copied their prices :(
1) Value 2) Customer Service 3) Tasty Food
On my rating scale they got the VALUE completely wrong so they MISSED that one. The Customer Service was as it should be for a place that charges $40+ just to sit down at the table, and the Food was tasty, but not worth the $40+ they charge ya! -

I came here to give it a try out of our traditional comfort zone restaurants we usually visit while in Key West, what a mistake. The prices are exactly the same as some other Churrasquerias (Brazilian Steak Houses) in the US, but lower quality of ingredients, also the service is not as good. Let me enlist some of my problems while dinning here:
-They never brought us pao de queijo (cheese bread) until we asked, I'm used to get this as soon as we order
-The salad bar items was limited, no giant asparagus or giant tomatoes, no piquillos (grilled bell peppers)
-All the meat cuts me & my wife tried were over cooked, even when we asked them differently, they didn't care.
-I needed to beg them to bring the Picanha, they were kind of hiding the good meat back and just bringing sausages.
-The Papaya cream dessert that we had was bitter, they didn't peel the papaya correctly, even a first timer cook knows this...
And my last part and the worst; when the check arrived I noticed they automatically included the 18% tip, when I ask them why they did that or better, why they did that with out any print notice saying they some times do that, the server told me they just do it for everybody and that was the costume, which I have no problem with when you are a party of 5 or more, or with exceptional service, but not a place with low quality food, lack of service and 2, yes two people eating at semi-buffet setting, they guy just kept saying that was very common I explalin him that yes, it was in some places, but they need to tell the client in advance they were going to do that, when I told him that he accepted he forgot to add the little piece of paper stating this when he brought the check.
If you are a tourist getting down of the boat, love the drunk crowd in Duval st. and think McDonalds serves authentic beef, dive here, you'll love it!!
If you have experienced the other Churrasquerias chains or even an authentic one, don't give it a try, you'll regret it. -

Unending meats grilled perfection. Calling the salad bar a salad bar is insulting. It is "the" most upscale salad bar I have ever seen. Rodrigo is the perfect waiter.

Great new restaurant to the Key West scene. Caters to tourists. Awesome food, but MY GOD EXPENSIVE. Skip the buffet and just stay with the meat. That's what your there for.

The tasties of key west. I think I gained about five pounds after eating here one night. The price is a little high for me (i enjoy a bunch of small meals throughout the day and never really feel that I get my worth in an all you can eat situation) but for the variety of offerings, it is reasonable. You begin with a salad bar that contains far more than just salad (everything from raw fish to soup to pasta...) Then get a fresh plate and bring on the meat! I had more meat shoved in my face than George Michael at a truck stop! They have chicken, they've got ribs, they have Bacon wrapped steak, and its all very very good! Keep in mind, the price does not include drinks, dessert or anything extra, so you won't be surprised when the bill comes!

I was walking the street of Key West when I came across Braza Lena. I had seen it on the road driving through the Keys. i was glad to hear that it was not a major chain. I sat at the bar which had a limited menu but offered what I considered one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The 10 oz burger topped with Manchego cheese cooked Medium was juicy with seasoned flavoring. Similar to Texas de brazil and Fogo de Chao, this establishment had less of a "chain" feel and more comforting.
Try the Burger, worth it! -

While on vacation in the keys, I decided to stop at Breza Lena. I am already a fan of the Fogo de Chao chain, so my boyfriend and I chose to check out this brazilian steakhouse. Simpy put, Braza Lena puts Fogo to shame.
After being seated, my boyfriend and I noted the dynamic artwork on the walls. The colours are so vibrant and complimented the ambiant lighting. I don't normally take particular notice to artwork, but I really enjoyed looking at these. When our server came over, we ordered the Strawberry Caiphurinha. Caipirinha is like a mojito but no mint and extremely fruity. But still ridiculously awesome and is on my list of top drinks. And this one was probably the best one I've ever had and you can even get it in a few different flavors.
The Salad bar was also fantastic. The salad bar was very fresh and I loved the seafood options. I also noted that everything was being promptly refilled by the staff.
As for the cuts of meats the gauchos bring and slice freshly at your table, each piece is cooked to perfection and every piece is worth a try. My favourites are the parmesean pork, the shrimp, and then filet mignon. There are so many cuts of meat though that you will be hard pressed to fit them all into your tummy. The only downside is having to wait for the gauchos to come around with the different pieces of meat, but they were so quick and friendly that in a matter of minutes you can have a platter full of meat. (For a better picture, take a look at the pic I uploaded in the gallery).
What really impressed me the most was the service. The host seated us promptly and our server appeared quickly after we were seated. Service was fast but not rushed. Every employee from our server to the gauchos, the bussers, the manager, and even the chef, were very friendly and committed to giving good service. One of the gauchos even made it a point to get the filet mignon I was looking for and checked to make sure we had everything we wanted later on. Also, our server also did not steer us wrong to go for the Strawberry flavoured Caipurinha.
I only wish that I had room for desert after my feast. And what they say about the aftermath of the brazilian steakhouse true; You will have a meat baby. And probably really feel the need for a nap. Luckily the steakhouse is strategically located right off Duval street so you can walk off a small percentage of what you just ate.
So, 5 stars for its wonderful service, fresh and brilliant food, beautiful atmosphere, and overall a very pleasant and uplifting dining experience.
Thank you Breza Lena for this wonderful experience and you can be sure that I'll be back and will share my experience with family and friends. And Yelp. :) -

Desperately seeking Key lime Pie? Skip the steak! Go right to the dessert here. I know its a Brazilian place but its what the island has to offer. It was the best Key Lime Pie ever. Not frozen or shipped from somewhere else. This is the authentic Conch key lime pie with meringue on top! I guess it helped that mine was made fresh and delivered by the awesome chef himself. :)

Sit at the bar and order the filet mignon burger off of the bar menu. It's probably the best I've had and the couscous side is delicious. It was a great $15 meal.

While this place is very similar to other Brazilian steakhouses, Braza Lena outshines them all with their salad bar selection and quality along with the fried bananas dipped in cinnamon sugar! We asked for many helpings of them. Pretty reasonable for the quantity and quality of food!

We stopped in for a quick drink at the bar, so can't comment on the food at Braza Lena, but let me say.....BEST CAIPIRINHA EVER!!!
The bartender Chris was great, and seriously makes a mean drink! We kept trying to go back over the couple days we were in KW, but since they are only open from 5-10pm that made it a little difficult. We told our friends in Miami about this place and some headed down the following weekend. If you are a cachaca fan, this is a must stop! -

My second time here and this is as good as it gets. Something about meat cooked over a fire and served over and over again appeals to the shameless carnivore in me. Or maybe to the primal cavewoman sitting around a fire after a hunt with the clan........the satisfaction is deep and thorough. What else? Everything is great! The service, the salad bar (they even had fresh raw tuna, my FAVORITE), the decor and even the bathroom. I will be back next time I'm in the Keys.

A Brazilian Charrascaria right here in Keys . We went with a large group of people and all seemed fairly most seemed pleased with the choice. Some of the cuts of meat were done better than others but for the most part the offerings were tasty. There is a very adequate salad bar with some interesting choices. The entree offerings will keep coming as long as your green tag is facing up. Some of the meats don't come around as often as you like but speak to your waiter as they can make a request. Wine list was good and dessert tray very nice. Good place for a large table and no one goes home hungry.

This restaurant gets five stars because I honestly had the best cheeseburger I have ever had at this restaurant. The $15 burger, which I ordered at the bar, is the most flavorful and moist burger you could ask for. You must have it with manchego cheese and a side of couscous. Be warned, it's a huge burger... come hungry and ready to eat.

I'll never eat at Braza Lena again.I live in Key West and have enjoyed eating here once a month since they opened about 3 years ago.
I've eaten there alone, with my wife and with groups of up to 20.Never again.
Braza Lena is a very good restaurant, but it's expensive.I"ve eaten at these "Brazilian" meat buffets in NYC,Rio,Buenos Aires and other American cities.I've eaten at their other restaurant in Islamorada at least 5 times.
Braza Lena charges about $45 for the full buffet including meat or $27 for the buffet alone.
They also do special favorsfor locals. On your birthday month they give a free meal.During the off season the do certain percentage off, usually 25 percent.
Since we'd just eaten there last week,my wife and I were not interested in the full boat(salad bar and 16 meats) but since they advertised in the newspaper that they were offering 25% off for locals with proper identification,we thought we'd go in just for the salad bar.
The food was typical and generally good, but as we asked for our bill I gave my ID card to the waiter and said I wanted the locals discount. His response was that they only gave the locals discount for the full meal, not the salad bar alone. He sensed my disagreement and asked the manager for consideration. He came back with a bill that included a discount.I said that the ad in the newspapper said 25% discount for all food except drinks and desert.
The bill for two salads was $55.We had no drinks or dessert. In addition there was automatically included an 18% tip.It was a buffet. Why would I pay an 18% tip.
I told the manager to put the $5 back on my bill and I would pay the full amount,BUT that I would never come back!
This is the second time this kind of thing has happened at Braza Lena. They make these offers of discounts and then when you are ready to pay the bill there is some other interpretation of the discount. As they say,"Screw me once, shame on you.Screw me twice, shame on me"
I eat out in KW 5 or 6 nights a week. There are too many good restaurants in KW,like Braza Lena, but less expensive that have you leave the restaurant without blowing your top.
This week I've eaten at Origami,Cafe Sole,Santiago Bodega,7 Fish,Blue Heaven and El Siboney have have left the restaurant fulfilled and willing to go back in the future.I will never go back to Braza Lena.
My guess is that they won't be here next year.Who needs it? -

This place has a really nice decor, good service and great meat. However, I didn't give it a 5 star because I felt it was lacking a few things to make it a little more original. For example, they had a radio station on and I really didn't want to hear advertisements while having dinner. I would strongly recommend some original Brazilian music to give it a more authentic feel. Other than that, I really enjoyed the meat and the servers were great in preparing it however you wanted it. I would recommend it.

This is what heaven is. A meat lovers paradise...Dave at the Cypress House recommended it. He told us to make sure we brought out appetites. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We were quickly seated and the house drink was recommended...almost like a mojito with sugar cane rum.....wasnt my favorite...we all ordered the all you can eat buffet....like marching soldiers with skewered cuts of meat in hand and wielding machete like knives.....we were told what cut of meat it was and it was cut and plated right in front of us...within minutes another skewer of another meat came and so on and so forth.....the best cuts of meat...filet...top sirloin..ribeye...NY strip....Lamb...grillled shrimp...chicken....all perfected cooked...mouth watering....i could hear my arteries clogging and my heart seizing up...but i couldnt stop...it was just to good!!! I tried everything twice...but i kept holding out for the lamb...it was just to good.along with buffet the table received a small bowl of mashed potatoes to share and i think a side of aspargus....(oh and prior to ordering we got an app to share...it was a plate of different cheeses..some fried....excellent)....the dinner was $45 a person and so well worth it..the wine list was extensive...(cant remember what kind of cabernet i had though...sorry...im sure they can recommend something). the only thing i would say about this place is go early enough so that you have enough time to walk off the dinner before you go out for drink because you WILL HAVE A FOOD BABY GROWING INSIDE YOU!!! (reallly stuffed). I will definately be going back!!!!

been to several brazilian steakhouses but i felt this one is the best. chima in atlanta is good and the espetus in san francisco is good but nothing compared to this one. all of the brazilian places that i've been to have excellent service so i am not going to talk about that. the meat is typical...everywhere is about the same...but here the salad bar is much better than anywhere i've been to. yes sometimes the salad isn't as fresh as the other places but my god they have so much choices. only thing missing is the grilled pineapple and the chicken heart (i thought i wouldn't like it and refuse to eat it the first time in san francisco but once i had it..it was soooo good).
overall, i gave 5 stars b/c the service was excellent and all the meats are good (especially beef rib) but the best of all was the salad bar. i know if you are eating the meat how many people actually want to eat salad but i like to have that option.
