Review from Chuck T.
Sacramento, CA
We were there when limo of bachelorette partiers showed up un-announced with no reservations on 2/412 for a 'free drunk fest' making no purchases and were offended by this parties behavior. They were rude to the employees and especially to the owners of the winery who showed as much courtesy possible while apologizing to us for the situation.
We have always had wonderful experiences at Bray and everyone we've referred to Bray has also expressed likewise. We'll continue to visit and take our friends to Bray.
It's ridiculous that groups of irresponsible and immature idiots on a party fest impose themselves on such kind people and then leave bad Yelp reviews when the situation was due to there lack of mature behavior.
Instead of visiting wineries where people are expected to behave like mature adults, they belong in places like Chuck'e Cheeses or or cheesy nightclubs,1 Previous Review: Show all »

Is your soul trapped in the 60's or 70's? It feels good 'round here. The place is always jammin', pouring wine and having a great time. Along the winding road in you will notice a subtle change in the road side tractor signs from the regular yellow caution, to a tipping tractor with someone chugging wine.... The tone is set...
The infamous "BrayZin Hussy Red" gives a little more insight to the jovial personality emanating throughout this winery.
The Zins and other reds are very good. Fruit forward and peppery. Overall it's a jamboree for wine tasters... Who said Blondes have all the fun ;-) -

Utilitarian building for storing and tasting wine. http://www.yelp.com/bi...
Robin Bray was the host in the tasting room. Delightful person.
2010 Brazen Hussy Red @ $15 is a good everyday red
2010 Barbera Rosato @ $18 is a good value for spaghetti wine
2008 Tres Vinas (GSM) @ $22 was not steller as I am used to Paso blends
2009 Primitivo and 2008 Tempranillo @ $22 were good deals
2008 Barbera Port @ $24 good enough to buy and we did.
Had it not been that we had found tastier varietals at Driver and Cooper for about the same price, this would have been a place to stock up. -

the people aren't very nice. Made the whole experience horrible!! I would not recommend to any one!!

Authentic Portuguese wines approved by the Portuguese themselves. If the folks here are any reflection of the hospitality of the Portuguese people as a whole, then I'm hopping the next flight to Lisbon!
The premises itself is classy and inviting. Beautiful olive trees line the road and the tasting room is a combination of classic style and modern comfort. The pours were generous and continuous. I'm sort of a boozer and I had to cut it short to make sure I could hang at our next destinations. I ended up bringing home a bottle of the Brayzin Hussy Red wine and their Cabernet Sauvignon. They didn't last long!Listed in: Great Date Spots, Bacchus Badge!

The wines are a fun as the people that serve them and I will be so bold as to say you are foolish if you pass up the jug of red wine :) SO FUN!!! The vairety of wine they make is so diverse there really is something for everyone to be tasted at Bray.

Bray Vineyards was my group's first stop in Plymouth and I think my favorite winery of the day!
The winery had a warm and homey vibe. The workers were all incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The outdoors had a beautiful porch with a fire pit (perfect for what was a cold January day) and a very friendly black cat wandering around.
The tasting, while free (like every winery in Plymouth - nice!), had a long list of wines... I had to stop drinking every pour to avoid getting tipsy on the first stop of the day. What really stood out was the Brayzin Hussy, which was one of my favorite wines of the day and extremely reasonably priced at $14 a bottle.
This winery definitely goes onto my favorites for sure! If I come back to Plymouth I'd l ike to come back to Bray Vineyards. -

After reading reviews I decided to visit resulting in amazement to the good ratings as I thought the wine was average at best. Tasting room was loud and lively and staff did an ok job of pouring. Too bad their cool logo (the guy riding the tractor) couldnt erase my memory of their mediocre wine.

Love this place! How can you not love a place that has Brayzin Hussy Red wine? Also, they have signs up of a tractor driver doing a wheelie with a bottle of wine in his hand...that is awesome!
This was the last winery we hit on our adventure last weekend. I'm so glad we made the trip. The people working were really friendly and I enjoyed most of their wines. The Brayzin Hussy Red was actually very nice and I had to buy a bottle to give to my Mom who is a redhead...and a brayzin hussy! I also left with a bottle of their Tempranillo which is a very smooth Spanish wine. I can't wait to come back for another bottle of hussy wine but that one will be for this hussy only ;-) -

This winery has incredible wine and character. Nothing I like more than winemakers with a sense of humor. From their flagship red, Brayzin Hussy to their "drunk tractor" crossing signs, this place rules.
You'll encounter some crazy Portuguese varietals here as well as some killer olive oils. Don't miss Bray on your Amador trip. -

Loved the schwag in particular. Walked out with a couple free buttons and was tempted to pick up a tank top as well. The wines were not my fave...

Great staff and well priced wines. Well worth a stop when you are in the area. Cute marketing of the red table wine. Laid back and charming. Give it a go!

My favorite winery in Amador County. The wines are all amazing and affordable and the staff in the tasting room are friendly, knowledgeable and proud of their wines.
Oh, and their olive oil is out of this world! -

Worth a stop! They make some tasty reds and a pretty good ruby port. The staff is nice and helpful and the wines are well-priced. We left with only a port and wished we'd purchased more. I guess it gives us an excuse to go back.

I am giving Bray 4 stars for their experience, but I wasn't as big of a fan of their wines. They do have a great list of wines to sample from. It isn't too short or too long. The folks there are incredibly personable and willing to answer questions as well as willing to just let you enjoy and relax. No matter how busy they are they are sure to acknowledge you are there and try to find you some space at the counter. I've been twice so far and enjoyed my experience both times even though I don't think I am a big fan of the wine.

Now THIS is my style winery. I was sold the second we saw the "Farm Responsibly" signs with the guy doing a wheelie on tractor with a bottle in his hand. The tasting room is pretty much a barn, and even with all the awards and medals hanging everywhere, they still don't take themselves seriously! The descriptions of the wines on the tasting menu are hilarious, the pourers are casual, usually older men who are willing to joke with you or tell you about the wines. Whether it's your fisrt time tasting or you're a veteran, you'll always feel relaxed and at home. They'll give you as much as you want, and make suggestions. They also have funny products for sale, as well as tastings of their homemade olive oil. The prices are always good, and they have a great monthly e-newsletter that in entertaining and educational! Last time we went there, they had introduced their "Brayzin Hussy Blonde," and I almost peed myself. I knew I'd buy a bottle just for a label, but turns out it's good wine, too!

Down to earth staff with incredible (and more importantly, reasonably priced) reds. Their Brayzin Hussy and Barbera's stole the show. I love visiting my in laws who live just up the street from all the vineyards but this place makes me like visiting even more!! :)
