I stayed here for a night during the weekend which had lower rates than the weekdays. This place is about 10 miles northwest of Austin downtown and took me about 10 - 15 min to drive there. It is right next to the Arboteum shopping center so the location is great if you want to shop. I had an executive suite which included a small kitchen with microwave and stove. The room was furnished with the standard:
bed
couch
cable tv + vcr
work desk
wireless internet connection (although it was a bit slow)
iron
And the place offers the following:
small swimming pool
a small exercise room with a couple of cardio machines
snack machines
The room was clean and well maintained. Good water pressure from the shower. The A/C was too strong as I felt air blowing at me when I sleep. The sound insulation wasn't that good since I could hear people talking in the hallway.
I called them to book a room, and they quoted me a price which was higher than what I saw on Orbitz and Travelocity. I mentioned about the lower rate online and they agreed to give me that price. So make sure you try that if you plan on booking a room on the phone.
This is a good place to stay because it is cheaper than most hotels in downtown, and has better quality rooms than the motels in downtown. Not to mention that you can avoid the drunken party people coming back from 6th st.
