Review from Guy J.

Whenever I go to Falmouth, I try to stop and grab a Jaws roll-which, pretty freshly sliced roast-beef with a nice horseradish mayo, I like to add pickles to mine personally. You can always get a good lunch, there is space to sit down inside, no waiters or anything. This is a definite takeout place first though... A can't miss if your on the run!

Like that little fat kid in Bad Santa, I love sandwiches.
The Box Lunch doesn't do sandwiches. They do rollwiches. A rollwich is is where they split a pita bread, put stuff in it, and roll it up. It's a bad idea, and it's poorly executed.
First, a 1/2 pita bread isn't as big or pliable as a wrap - so the rollwich doesn't hold together tightly and you end up with a rollwich taco. Second, the rollwich internals are 50% lettuce. The other 50% is bland ingredients. I ordered a special, some kind of southwestern chicken wra, uh, I mean rollwich - it was supposed to have grilled chicken, chipotle mayo, avocado, and evidently a whole shitload of lettuce.
The Box Lunch makes the same fatal mistake that so many restaurants do when they offer grilled chicken in a sandwich - they(or their supplier, I doubt it's done in house) torch the ass off a boneless chicken breast, then refrigerate it so as to remove all traces of moisture. They think the chipotle mayo will somehow cover up the lack of flavor, but that's plain too. It's a case of the bland leading the bland.
Forget about the rollwich concept and grab yourself a wrap from somewhere else. -

Box Lunch is a chain of sandwich shops found everywhere on the cape. It is home of the Rollwich, which basically means they make wraps. They have a humongous menu, with everything from chicken to pork to beef to seafood to veggie wraps.
I made the silly mistake of going to this place when I felt like having a lobster roll. What I got was a lobster salad Rollwich, not exactly what I had been craving. It was fine, but no chunks of lobster, just mashed lobster (?) with tomato, mayo, and a lot of lettuce as a filler. Blah.
So why the 4 star review? Well, I can't blame this place for my mistake in ordering. The huge menu really does have some creative-looking sandwiches and they even have specials on top of that. My husband got the porky's nightmare Rollwich, which was ham, onions, and melted cheese (I think). He gave me a bite (!) and it was delicious. Compact and neat, the perfect type of sandwich to bring with you to the beach!
Oh, and despite the review I read, Box Lunch DOES take credit cards, FYI. no need for a trip to the ATM. -

Box lunch is easily my go to sandwich joint when I spend time in the Falmouth area on Cape Cod.
They have a wide variety of different hot and cold sandwiches, that are all priced reasonably. Their lobster roll is fantastic, but a little on the grease side. So just be aware that you're going to need to do some biking or something after eating one of these.
If you want to pick up a quick and easy sandwich to take to the beach when you're at the cape, Box Lunch is the way to go!

Ordered 3 egg/cheese wraps for breakfast to go. big mistake. Got home to find they tasted lousy and the eggs were uniformly a light greenish tint. It's a shame, since then bread was fresh. Here's a hint, if the eggs aren't good, just don't serve them! after a few bites, we threw the wraps in the trash and ate 2 day old leftover pizza which actually tasted far better.
