I LOVE Bow Street Flowers. My friend gifted me with a flower arranging course for my birthday and it could not have been more superb! Shelley welcomed us warmly and spent hours helping us to create our 'masterpieces.' She is a natural teacher who gently guides her pupils while boosting their confidence and allowing their own creativity to shine. She treated us with fabulous wine and cheeses afterwards- we stayed all afternoon and it was heartbreaking to leave the little oasis. Her passion for her work is contagious and admirable. I highly recommend the business and return to them as often as my wallet permits!

I recently worked with Shelley for flowers for my wedding in Cambridge. Everything was simply beautiful from my bouquet to the table flowers to the awesome large arrangement for the place card table. Shelley created exactly the vibe I was looking for to offset a formal, dark location with bright, garden-like flowers.
She was flexible in working within our budget for the event and a total pleasure to plan with throughout the process. It's clear Shelley loves what she does and only wants your day to be spectacular and perfect. -

Bow Street Flowers did the flowers for my wedding a few weeks ago, and they were great to work with. Shelley is one of those people that completely loves what she does, which made it easier for me to trust that she'd come up with something really great for the wedding day.
The colors were right, the flowers were gorgeous, and the arrangements had a real sort of simple elegance to them. People were taking the centerpieces home like hotcakes! And my bouquet was just perfect.
I also appreciated that Shelley worked with my budget, and didn't pressure me to do any more or less than I wanted to do. Plus, she has a really cute bunny that sometimes hops around the shop and sniffs your toes. What's not to like?
One note: I did have a little trouble initially reaching them by e-mail. I recommend calling to get in touch. -

Best Valentine's Day Roses I have ever purchased. The things are the size of grapefruits. You are going to get gouged anywhere on Valentines day, so I can't hold price against them.
Beautifully packaged. Ready when promised. Cute little storefront too. -

Beautiful little flower boutique with bunnies. I ordered arrangements several times over the phone. Very good job but expensive. Their roses are no better than roses from any other store but presentation is nice.
Overall this is a good non-chain florist but not for people who shop for flowers on the regular basis. -

This florist has moved from Harvard Square to Beacon Street in Somerville, near the Thirsty Scholar bar (close to Kirkland Street, north of Inman).
I don't know much about their flowers; they seem overpriced but apparently they do mostly phone-in orders.
The real reason to visit, though, is seen at http://www.bowstreetfl... They have several beautiful bunnies, some of whom don't even mind being picked up and cuddled! They are worth the trip from anywhere. -

Fantastic....after procrastinating for days about the V-day flowers i stopped in there because it's convenient to where i work and live...i asked for a dozen red roses (mind you it's the day before valentines day) and without missing a beat the very nice (and very attractive i must say) girl who was there helped me out the door in a matter of minutes. a little pricey yes, but with flowers you really do get what you pay for, and these are worth it, super long stems (almost 3 feet!!!) and buds the size of my dogs head (granted she's a mini dachshund....)

Very small, intimate location. Just outside of Inman Square, as you head into Somerville on Beacon Street.
They have some great arrangements, and can recommend the appropriate flower for any occasion.
Overall I would definitely recommend it! They even carry cute cards to accompany your gift selection. -

Bow Street Flowers is our local flower shop after we moved to Somerville from Cambridge 6 months ago, and I had heard really good things about them. So when we were getting flowers for our intimate wedding in our home a few blocks away, Shelley was the logical choice.
Not only did we get stunningly beautiful arrangements, but Shelley added her own personal touch with an additional bouquet that I hadn't anticipated using but was beautiful for the photos. Everything exceeded my expectations. The pricing was actually less than I had expected for three large arrangements, and they completed the look for our ceremony perfectly.
Shelley was a pleasure to work with and took care of everything for us. I look forward to many years of frequenting Bow Street Flowers! -

Shelley did the flowers for our wedding last weekend at the Willowdale Estate, and it was fabulous!! We were going for a natural, wildflower look with lots of bright vivid colors, and Shelley hit the nail on the head. She was really easy and nice to work with, and was extremely responsive to the needs of our many different family members. She also has great creative vision and can help guide you if you arent the super creative type (she was super helpful to us even with linen and ribbon color suggestions).

Bow Street Flowers consistently has the most beautiful, most sophisticated flowers flowers in Cambridge. They frequently carry flowers that you don't see elsewhere, which can be a lot of fun if you want to surprise or impress somebody. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. I once asked the owner's advice about whether two types of flowers would go together and the she explained why another type would go better. The difference in color was subtle (one was a slightly orange shade of pink and the other was a slightly blue shade of pink), but she was totally right. I go here nearly every week and recommend them highly!

I have received one bouquet from Bow Street Flowers and absolutely loved it. It was huge but not gaudy, the arrangement was unique, and the flowers were beautiful. Everyone who saw it envied it. I've just placed an order with them and was very happy with their customer service.

I used Bow Street Flowers for a quickie wedding and ordered some peony table arrangements and a peony wrist corsage- they were perfect on the wedding day and I got exactly what I wanted, within my teeny tiny budget after seeing some relaxed, informal wildflower arrangment examples on her great website, and the guests really liked the little glass pot arrangements which fit perfectly in car cup holders! Cute tiny little location in a residential area, with cute bunnies living in the window.

I stumbled on to Bow St Flowers looking for a non-chain florist in this area, and am so glad I did. I have since sent two arrangements - birthday and get well - and both have had rave reviews. My friend's mom was in the hospital, and she said every doctor and nurse that came into her room commented on how nice they were. I love going local and find that you usually get the best results. Their website is what really got me first, the photos and arrangements are lovely.

I just received the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers from Bow St for Mother's Day. It is so over the top style wise and the flowers are truly unique. I am a gardner and flower freak so it takes a lot to wow me but Bow Street did it today. Visit them soon an you will make yourself or someone else very happy!!!
