I've never been a mani-pedi lady before going here, but now I am.  This is a great family-run business.  The owner, as well as her son & daughter, are very friendly and talented.  Everyone there is fast and efficient. $30 for a mani-pedi.  They accept credit cards (not discover) but you have to tip in cash.  Expect a longer wait and some confusion on weekends or around holidays, but normally you can get a seat in under 10 minutes.

Germaphobe Note:  This place is clean and they do have the little blue sanitizing box.  You can watch them take items out of the plastic wrap, so no worries.  Also, if you like it, they do use razors for feet if you ask AND they use new blades (it might seem like common sense... but you'd be surprised).

Walked into the store. Looked around. Was greeted by 2 women from accross the room. Said "eyebrows?" Left 10 minutes later with some okay $7 brows.

Not the best $7 brows I've ever had, and the girl didn't really give me a chance to ask what I wanted before she started plastering wax onto my face. I'm a tad bit frowny now, but it's nothing a little brow powder can't fix. Will be back for nails later.

My roommate likes to make sudden changes. They catch me off guard, and oftentimes I think she does it to challenge me. To taunt me. We both used to bite our nails. There was a sense of solidarity in that. Then, one random day, without any kind of motive whatsoever, she just decided to stop biting them. I've been in a fury ever since.

Now she goes to Boutique Nails to get these ridiculous designs on her long fingernails. She gets something new every week and there's typically at least 3 different colors on each nail. Sometimes there's even sparkly stuff. I make fun of her and say she has hipster nails. They look like something Santigold or MIA or some other gaudy, gold tooth-cap wearing Brooklyn lady would show off. This is just my defense mechanism. I'm totally jealous. I want ridiculous nails too!

I actually stopped biting them for maybe 2 weeks. There's really no explanation for how it started up again. Anyway, I digress. I think anyone who considers their nails an extension of their personality, or just wants fun nails, should go to Boutique Nails. They don't use airbrush and it takes some serious talent to make nails that busy and design heavy. Nails nails nails! Wah.

I get my nails done here sometimes, and also the occasional eyebrow wax.  The price is right, for sure.  They have a pretty good mani-pedi deal ($30), and a frequent buyer type card for when you spend more than $20, so if you're a regular mani-pedi person, you should take advantage of that.  There's never a very long wait (if any), and, although I have not indulged, their haircuts are super cheap.  The location is so convenient for me, it wouldn't make sense to go anywhere else.  I'm just lucky that this place is also pretty awesome.

I really really love this nail salon.  I tried other places for comparison and I keep on coming back to them.  They have great nail color selections and they are fast, friendly and cheap!

Since this is a public site, I won't go into great detail on my waxing experience here, other than to say the following: it was quick, it was cheap, it was about as painless as a Brazilian wax can be and it caused me to add another star to my original rating. So there you go.
