This place is great! We parked in downtown Rapid City (cute with cool Presidential statues on every corner) and were drawn here by the wonderful scent. It is cozy inside and we sat in a smaller room with just three tables, which turned out great for us because the folks next to us were super friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to do in the Black Hills when it rains.
For lunch, we ordered a pizza/salad combo and the cheese ravioli with rosa sauce and mushrooms. Our server was professional, prompt, and competent. The food was delicious! Flavorful and somewhat modern, yet traditional enough for those who love homestyle Italian, like we do. It was really, really good.
For the two lunches, a chocolate milk, and a spumoni, the bill was only $18. Best deal ever in the (near the) Black Hills.
Great service, caring management, delicious food ... if we lived in the area, we would be regulars for sure!

The food here is usually very good. I do venture out and order different things, but my favorite is Linguini Con Polo. I also love the Tiramisu. The atmosphere is mellow and comfortable, I agree about the tables up front, could stand to do away with a few and hopefully you are not unfortunate enough to get one and get the pleasure of everyone walking buy you all the time. Love the food, good staff.
Decent food, but they've lost their good servers to other restaurants in the area...they've also packed a few too many tables together at the front. If I wanted to eat in a New York restaurant where I'm sitting on top of strangers...I'd go to a New York restaurant.
