I think I went here with my expectations set too high.  I expected a much larger garden (their brochure said ithere are 10 acres of gardens ... I'm not sure where 9 of those acres were located) and I thought there'd be more information/signs labeling the plants, detailing their natural habitat, etc.  I REALLY expected more flowering plants given that the interstates are lined with beautiful red, orange, purple and white flowers right now - I was sure there'd be beautiful flowering plants in the botanical gardens.

If I were to describe the botanical gardens to someone I would say they're more like a nature preserve and definitely not something to visit if you're only in Asheville for a day.
