Why go to a wing joint and only get the fries? Because Munch On Me told me to. Had my choice of spicy or regular, and I'll always opt for the abnormal. It was the exact same flavor and spiciness I enjoyed on this crispy tofu dish back in CA where you can only eat as many bites as you have fingers before waving the white flag. Which is probably a very good thing considering they're fries. At least they're seasoned right. I hate going to some place only to have to season the fries myself.

Aside from the nostalgia flavor factor, it was all right. Couldn't even eat half and am forced to reheat them in the toaster oven a few at a time now. But they reheat that way quite well (the trick is to get them super hot and bubbling right before they burn, then dab with a paper towel).

Wings were so-so. We ordered a combo of 15 wings and 12 boneless, and they only allowed us to have one flavor per type. We got Honey BBQ and Sweet, Sour, Spicy. I did not care for the Honey BBQ. The Sweet, Sour and Spicy had more Sweet and no Spicy at all.

The wings were dry and tasteless.

Wings Over Brookline has better wings.

This is my favorite take out place in Boston! They have the greatest wings and french fries in town! Delivery is usually quoted at 45 minutes but the food is always there within 25! The portions are really generous. Their Honey Barbecue is the best!

    Let's wing it indeed!
    Best wing place in boston!
I never use exclamation marks but I just used two. The hot boneless wings are best, as are the hot fries.
The chicken is crispy and much better than wings over brookline, etc. I've tried most of the flavors and they're all great!

The two star rating is for two reasons:

One, this place used to serve better wings.  Period.  These are still good hot wings but I know they aren't what they used to be.

Two, the blue cheese dip is a crime against humanity.  They should be embarrassed to serve it.  Picture chunky mayo and you've got the idea.

Every establishment earns their rating from what they allow to leave their kitchen, Wing-It, you've got some soul searching to do.

Been here a few times but have regularly ordered here for This year my wings came out a little cold as they make them early and they sit around for a while. Last year they were a little dried out.  Overall this place is awesome and I really recommend stopping in on your average day.  They have over 20 sauces (I have tried 6 by now and all have been packed with flavor).  I really enjoy the honey hot.

They have a variety of order sizes and what seems like homemade bleu cheese.  Definitely what I consider the best wings in the area.

My co-workers and I ordered lunch from here today and I was really pleased.

I opted for the lemon pepper single wings with a side of french fries.  For some reason I was expecting the chicken to be all sauced up, but it was fried and dry-looking, covered in pepper.  But, man, was that deceiving!  The chicken was tender and had a nice lemon-y and pepper-y flavor.  Fries were salted just right and still crispy when they got cold.

I'd love to give this place another try!

Fries are no longer good - not krinkle cut anymore and really dense / oily.  Fail.

This place saved my life in college. So many cravings answered at Wing It. I have been to Buffalo so clearly these are not the best wings I've ever had. But this was my favorite place to get wings in Boston. Many flavors. All delicious. Cheap. And it was within walking distance. Get a few beers in you and this place will be your best friend.

This is some great chicken. I had a meal of 5 boneless wings, garlic parmesean style with fries and they were quite good and not dry at all.

These things were cooked perfectly, but they could've used a bit more garlic to enhance the whole garlic part of the "garlic parmesean" flavor. Makes sense, right? Anyways...I cant wait to stop in for lunch again.

What's that? You mean I cant just stop in when I want to for lunch?! Oh that's right...this place has the most fucked up hours I've ever seen! It really blows my mind that they dont at least attempt to do lunch. I understand catering to the college crowd, but they already have it made by being young, healthy and possessing a generally positive world outlook so why do they get to bogart these wings?! So -1 star for that and the $10 cc limit.

To start off..I love buffalo wings!

I often craveeeeee the delish medium spicy buffalo wings with spicy fries!! Perfect serving size for $7ish

I have a pretty high tolerance for spicy food..But I would not recommend the "hot" buffalo wings! I had it the first time I went to Wing-It and didn't return for 2-3 years...then came back and had "medium" and I am hooked!

Bare bones and no nonsense, Wing It succeeds in variety where others fail, but fails on service and quality where others hit the mark.

I appreciate being able to order my wings in mild, medium and spicy, Jamaican Jerk (spicy or regular), boneless or traditional...small, medium or large.  Fast food customization at it's finest.

The downfall? The $10 card limit is so obnoxious, my boyfriend's order was $9.10 and they wouldn't let him use a card. Then, my order took quite a while...while everyone else enjoyed their burgers and wings, I waited. When my order was finally ready, it was wrong. No problem, I thought...stuff happens. When I brought my wrong order to the counter to rectify the situation, it was obvious how very little the employees cared:

Me: Hi there. I think I have the wrong order here. I ordered buffalo wings, size medium, on the bone.
Counter person: Yeah. [pointing at the container] Well what's that?
Me: Ummm. I am not really sure. But I know it's not what I ordered.
Another employee: Oh dude. That's totally the wrong order. I ave the buffalo wings here.

No apology. Not even a general acknowledgment as I took my correct order back to my table.

Two seconds later, the counter man came to the table and grunted, "You got that slip from that other order?" Took the slip, walked away without a word.

Unless it's someone else's idea, there's little chance I'll come back here, especially when I can order wings from Wings Over Somerville or stop into Olde Magoun's on Monday night when these bad boys are only 10 cents each!

Okay, listen up. There are important things for you to know about Wing-It:

    1) Don't order anything but the wings. Why would you get a burger from a place called WING -IT?? They only do wings well, so don't mess around.

    2) The debate between boneless and bone-in is never ending. Get what you prefer, but don't you dare try and pretend that bone-in isn't processed. Its all processed, its delicious junk that you are choosing to poison your body with so ENJOY.

    3) Buffalo is Buffalo is Buffalo. Unless you are getting suicide hot, experiment with a new flavor, cause that where Wing -It really stands out. Spicy Teridactyl, Honey Hot, and Sweet Sour & Spicy are highly recommended. If you get buffalo and feel its nothing special, don't say I didn't warn you.

4)You can complain all you want about delivery times, too little bleu cheese (you can pay .25 cents for extra) carrots instead of celery (they've been known to pull that, which sucks, but you didn't order wings just for celery, did you?), or the price, but Wing-It will still be booming as long as BU kids are drinking keg beer and stumbling back to West Campus at 1:00am.

The moral of the story is: if you want some wings that may or may not upset your bowels the next day, Wing It is THE ONLY option in the Boston area. Don't even try and bring that Wings Over...crap into the discussion cause their sauces don't even compare.

The wings are good, but the delivery is pretty bad, the prices are just a tad steep, and on the days i *really* want wings (big party days), I can never seem to do so unless I plan so far in advance and pre-order.

What I do really like about Wing-It is their wide array of glaze/flavor choices.  A girl loves options.  However, this menu is borderline-confusing because all the glazes sound delicious.  I end up ordering way more than I need, only because I can't decide between the flavors and want to try them all.  Perhaps that's a marketing strategy?  Make everything sound delicious and offer 100 things, so people get flustered and artificially hungry and order the giant party platter though it was supposed to be dinner for one!  Clever.

The chicken quality is OK and the storefront is very bare-bones, but if you have the foresight to know you'll want wings for a big day like Superbowl Sunday and think to preorder, this isn't a bad option.

For those of us who live on the edge and eat on a whim, best of luck getting wings on a major sports holiday from Wing-It.

Totally amazing boneless wings with a list of flavors that I still have not tasted?  YES.

Got like 60 wings, half buffalo half honey mustard, delivered for the Superbowl.  They made me forget the Pats didn't even make it and I had a great night.

This place and football were two sunday staples for a couple of years of my life. Great wings, great chicken sandwiches. Try the Teridactyl (okay, I can't spell it!) sauce one your boneless wings and fight off your friends when they try to take one.

The service leaves something to be desired as some people will finish their conversation with friends, change a CD and then casually walk up and take your order. But it's worth it. Great food.

I'm a fan of their boneless honey BBQ. I'll usually get the meal which comes with fries. The chicken usually tastes pretty "fresh".. as in not rubbery or with a hint of "freezer". And it's always slathered with enough BBQ so that it's not drowning, but if you want to dip your fries into some goodness there's extra. Their fries are always great. They're always crisp enough that even when they're cold they have a good consistency.  OH and they don't give you pathetic looking celery stalks! Not that I need them, being a mild child and all.

They do some ridiculous business during football/baseball season, so if you can, call ahead if you know there's a big game. I usually just get  a craving sometimes and hop on over.

PS - The prices on the wall are outdated.

If you like your wings rock-hard on the outside, slightly dry on the inside, then definitely try Wing-it.

I hate to say it because I did go to BC and have ordered from here many a time. And I have heard that their burgers are good and I do love their sides (my favorite pasta salad of all time). And I've actually never tried their bone-in wings. But I once got a cut on the roof of my mouth from one of their boneless wings. I refuse to injure myself for chicken.

This was one of my favorite places to order delivery from when I lived in Allston Rock City! The delivery was usually a 45-minute wait (sometimes longer), but it was worth it once that food came through my door.

Yes, the chicken wings are amazing, but I REALLY love their ribs! Meat-falling-off-the-bone tender and juicy and delicious. Their burgers are also pretty tasty, but the fries tend to get a little soggy if you don't eat them the very second you get them.

***EDIT: I heard a rumor that they deliver to Cambridge... does anyone know if this is actually true. I need to know!

I love wing-it, mostly for their boneless wings. The honey glazed garlic wings are sheer perfection. I sort of think almost any savory food could be glazed in honeyand it would be good.

I also like the honey bbq, buttery bbq, sweet dijon...really I like everything I've ever had their. The chicken is generally pretty decent quality (though sometimes you'll get some nasty veins of fat in there) it's always well cooked...and when the fries are great they are phenomenal. My only complaints are that

    a) the parking situation often sucks
    b) you have to be vigilant they remember your blue cheese
    c) they got rid of the artery clogging buffalo balls

I like this place so much I once went here after having had surgery (ok, if i'd have my way I would've gone home first, but the person driving me home didn't realize that and went straight to Wing-it. I was sort of shocked (it was eye surgery so my eyes were taped closed and couldn't tell where were were, but once the pain abated and I got home with some tasty wings, I forgave him)

I realized this week that I needed to try an amazing place that I hadn't reviewed yet. The reason? Well, Wing-It, congratulations, you are my 100th review and I'm giving you a shining five stars.

It's been years since visiting here but those boneless wings have stuck in my mind. Well it's a good thing that a really cute boy loves these wings too because after weeks of the two of us talking about Wing-It, we finally went.

Sort of. My new apartment is in their delivery map, so brought to my door were two amazing boneless dinners of medium buffalo and sweet and sour. These sweet and sour wings were to-die-for. Just enough glaze on the chicken, popping with flavor, easy to eat, and some of the best fries around. If you know me, you know I have strong feelings about fries. My date liked his a lot too and it was the perfect addition to our Sunday afternoon football game.

Wing-It, your prices are just as good as your flavors. You are addicting. You have variety. You make me smile. Thank you.

Dry boneless wings. Overcooked bone-in wings. Decent sauces.

I placed an order of large wings for delivery. After I got them, I realized that  they gave me a small order instead of a large. I called them back and they said they couldn't do anything about it that night because they were swamped but to call back tomorrow morning.  I called back the next day and they said the manager wasn't in so I had to call back another time. About four days later, I got the remaining wings I should have gotten in the first place. It was a hassle, but ultimately was it worth it? Probably not.

These wings are A-OK. Granted I've only ever had the boneless ones, but they are always pretty good when I need a boneless chicken wing fix.

The buffalo flavor is good, as are some of the other weirder flavors I've dared to try. My only complaint about this place is that last superbowl Sunday we tried to order from here, and when I went to pick up the wings they said they never got our order and wouldn't be able to make it for us because they were too busy! Lame. The only reason I would ever consider "celebrating" the superbowl is to eat wings and drink beer on a Sunday afternoon. Oh well.

Otherwise, they do give you a good amount of food for not a lotta money. Once again, A-OK.

Absolutely delicious. I've been going since high school, and I can definitely say it's the best wing place in Boston! The boneless wings are fantastic in any flavor (I've tried just about all of them), but my favorite has to be terridactyl (mix of BBQ and teriyaki). And I know someone was hating on the blue cheese sauce in an earlier review, but I think it's really good. Also the hot fries are really good. You gotta try Wing-It!

    Category: Takeout

This place has spicey wings, it's one of those joints that sells the Atomic/Suicidal wings just before closing real cheap to the college crowd.  Of course that's the mistake I made way back when, thanks a lot Wing It for ruining my sex life that week.

That said the wings are great, the food is good, just don't plan on eating there it's a delivery or pickup deal ALL THE WAY.

*All of CJ's reviews fall into three categories - Fine Dining, Casual Dining, or Takeout.  To give fair consideration to all types of restaurants one must not consider the same judging factors in any of these three categories.  For fine dining the ambiance is lent greater weight, while for takeout a majority of the weight is placed upon taste and convenience.

I've given Wing It regular business for a while, and yet after the specifics of a single recent visit I can absolutely say that I will never go back there again.

I placed an order to aruably the rudest woman ever to answer a telephone.  Honestly: no big deal, see you guys in a few.  I'm on my way out the door around ten minutes later when I receive a call from said rude woman, impatiently asking if I'm coming to get my food yet, because they're closing soon.  I make the mistake of feeling a tiny bit bad as I hustle the couple blocks to the spot.

Even though it's literally only 12:01 when I arrive (they apparently closed at 12), all the lights are off, and said rude woman rudely gives me order, before rudely ushering me out.

I come home to open up and find literally the most disgusting order in takeout history.  Not only are my wings not well done, they're hardly even cooked ONCE.  They are lukewarm and rubbery.  There is not even blue cheese included in the order.  Two wings are even somehow missing from the total I had thought I purchased.  The three of us who are splitting the order unanimously throw it all out, after a single bite each.  And we were hungry----that's how disgusting and disrespectful this order was on the part of Wing It.  We actually called another restaurant and got other takeout after having already paid Wing It for nothing.

I understand that it was the end of the night, but in that case my order never should have been taken.  I would've completely understood this much.  Instead Wing It chose to still take my money, yet give me a half-assed, disgusting product, one that they would have NEVER served at an earlier hour, and on top of that, they chose to be rude and obnoxious about the whole thing.  I thought about calling the next day and just asking for another order, but I decided that I would just never go there again, considering there are so many other places in the area.  Was it worth it Wing It?  Was It?

        Sincerely,

    A former customer

Ok, I love their lemon pepper wings!!! I will clean those bones till I can see my reflection in them ( and I used to be a vegetarian, so that's saying something! )

I actually worked for their competition for a while. (Wings Express) back in the day under its original owner.  But the lemon pepper wings brought me back

It is not getting a 3 from me because of the loyalty factor to my "alma worker:" It lost one star because occasionally they did not stick to their hours and it was frustrating as hell going down to Packard's Corner to find them closed.

It lost the other star because I didn't think their Jamaican Jerk "was all that" and I definitely preferred my honey hots to theirs.

But DAMN,,,,, those lemon pepper wings! (commence salivation)

I absolutly adore wing it and have been ordering from there on a regular basis since i moved to allston three years ago. HOWEVER, due to a 10 minute attempted phone order just now with a female employee
I will never be going there again. After she spoke over me while I stated my address I was told my street didn't exist and that they wouldn't deliver to me although my roomates and i have ordered from there before and live well within the perameters of their delivery area (union square). When I asked to speak to a manager she laughed and said "no". I asked again and she simply laughed more. I'm not someone who gets angry easily, but what a B*tch! Not having a valentine doesn't warrant horrendous customer service.

Another chicken wing business that's sub par in a city which is plagued by them. My review is based on the three or four orders I've placed there via Foodler. Both them they screwed it up and forgot my drinks. They refused to give me a refund of the drink and instead said that they'd give me credit for it on my next order. Despite trying to tell them that there was never going to be another order from me they pretty much hung up on me. Great. I know it's only a couple of bucks but seriously, how can someone be that lazy?

And how about the fact that they have a limit for credit card payments? I picked up my food once and the order was around $8 and they didn't let me use my card forcing me to go to an ATM and come back to pay. I should have just driven off.

So yeah the service is terrible and was a big disappointment. But maybe, just maybe their wings are good. They seemed pretty popular. Well their wings despite being pretty meaty aren't nearly as goods as Wings Over. Their spicy fries are decent but again, not as good as Wings Over. Hell, nothing is even as good as Wings Over.

They also seem inconsistent because some of their wings are too big and don't cook evenly with the rest of the batch. And they either don't put enough sauce or too much. Again a lot of inconsistency. They are crispy on the outside and dry on the inside...

The only good thing about this place is that they are cheaper than the competition. Maybe they could charge more for better food and service? Their deliveries have been pretty prompt in the past which is a good start. I just wish they executed better.

As a person transplanted here almost a decade ago from the snowy hinterland of Buffalo, New York, one would think that I would have strong opinions on the subject of chicken wings.  Well, you're right, I do.

I have been trying out Wing It once a year for the past five years, and this time they finally got it right.  Their plain hot wings have the right amount of sauce, spiciness, and size for me to give them a thumbs up.

I only order delivery from these guys so I don't know the parking situation over there, but through Foodler, the food showed up twice in a week in between 45 minutes and an hour.  The prices are fine, and I have it on a good authority that the garlic boneless wings (THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BONELESS WING, AS THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BONELESS CHICKEN!!!) are very good as well.

Their potato salad could use quite a bit of tweaking, though.

Wing It is my stand by for food when the boyfriend is out and I dont feel like cooking.

I'm all to predictable when it comes to ordering here.... a honey hot bonelss wing meal with spicy fries and I side of potato salad. And always delivery.

The first time we ordered here was one of the funniest moments ever... we had out of town friends visiting and figured that everyone will eat some boneless wings and fries. So the boys head over and order 4 larges in various flavors and some sides of fries. They thought it was pretty pricey but ordered anyway. Well when they order is ready they are stunned. The 40 pieces of wings and some fries involve 3 bags to carry home. These are not little boneless nuggets... they are the size of chicken tenders!!! so we we end up with an enormous amount of chicken left over, even after 8 people attacked the food.

So my meal generally carries over to breakfast the next day or the boyfriend's last night snack. Really worth it considering that for about $12 I get 2 meals delievered~ including tip.

The main negative I have about this place is their HORRIBLE ketchup that they give out for the fries. Just plain horrible... gotta stick with heinz!!!

This is a great wings establishment. I have eaten wings all over the country and really like them so I consider myself quite the expert. The first time I went I ordered the hot--outstanding flavor! It is not just the 'heat' that's there but they use a bunch of other great spices (perhaps a rub of sorts) that keeps you coming back for more even when your mouth is on fire. When you order 'Hot' you really do get 'hot' unlike 90% of other establishments. I just got the small order this time which was about 8 huge wings. The next time I came, since I liked my experience so much, was a combination of the honey bbq and medium wings. Both outstanding and I ate about 20 while watching game 6 of celtics/lakers. I suggest ordering extra ranch if you like it as much as I do. Plus they give you celery.

Overall, if you like wings and are in the Boston area, check this spot out!

Ahh, sweet sweet wings. So many choices, so much deep fried avian goodness...
I've never eaten in, and they sadly don't deliver all the way out to my neck of the urbs, but if you grab a piping hot bag of Wing It takeout and spend the evening on the couch watching cable and/or playing video games, you're living the good life.
I dunno why they bother with celery sticks with the wings. They look like they've been through the war; similarly the french fries are unreliable- crispy and delectable sometimes, soggy and cooling others. But the wings are the main attraction, and they have always been top notch for me.

One of the best wing places for sure.

Their suicide wings are soooo good.  Plenty of meat, and every time I've been there I've had a great experience.

If you like wings, you must give this place a try
