One of Boston's hidden gems for authentic Polish kielbasa, Reuben, or Pastrami sandwiches, as well as other unusual European and Eastern European food items. This is a family-run deli, and the one thing that stands out about this place on the outskirts of Dorchester (so the safe part), is either the white Bentley or S-Class Mercedes parked out in front, owned by Teddy Junior, who used to swing with the New Kids, and had a career in music production. In fact, you never know which A-list stars, including Mark Wahlberg, you'll run into that originally hail from this neighborhood. Teddy used his initial wealth to start buying real estate and now owns several blocks in the neighborhood.

The elderly dad still gets up early in the morning to bake the bread, and they grind up all their kielbasa on site, and from time to time, the mom also works the counter. They work because the love to, not because they need to. I love tradition, as it also shows up in the quality of food they prepare.

Why does he run this deli? Because he can. Because he wants to. Because it is a family establishment, and nowhere else in this city can I come into a deli and get that suburban diner feel to it where they make you feel extremely welcome in this very small place.

There isn't more than 2 tables and a window bench to sit in, but it is WELL WORTH the trip. The deli items are great........ but that kielbasa and Reuben...... I never knew how good it truly could be until I came here, and have kept on coming every other week (I'd come every week, but don't think I want to visit a cardioligist at my age).

Just ask for a small kielbasa sandwich with everything on it. You won't regret it. But if you're not into kielbasa, there is the reuben, but ask for it with Polish cheese (instead of the traditional Swiss cheese).

I discovered this place by accident, as I keep most of my stuff in storage at Fortress, which is this large building you can't miss off the freeway. Or, you can via Massachusetts Ave, and when u get to the south shore plaza, where Home Depot, Best Buy, and other large chain shops are, you cut through the parking lot, and just find your way to the Fortress Storage building that stands alone. Right across the street is the Deli.

I thought I fixed the address in goo-gle so people can find it - will try again...
This delicatessen is in Dorchester, a quick walk south from the Andrew T station down Boston Street, over the Expressway bridge, in Boston's Polish Triangle.
This is definitely a hidden gem.
Clean and filled with friendly local types.
Had unusual and tasty beverages, and lots of interesting Polish foods.
I need to go back to try all the sandwiches!

Although it burned I was glad to at least find the place.  I hope the owner plans on rebuilding.  We need more places like this so we are not forced to eat Hilshire Farms "kielbasa"!

The kielbasa is absolutely incredible.  I've had both the light-colored, less strong variety, and the dark-colored, stronger variety, and they're both amazing.  Otherwise, I wasn't impressed with the deli.
