ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place!! Everyone who works here is SUPER nice!
I wanted to get my kids a hamster, but having hamsters when I was a young'en, i know some are just biters :( I went to all the big name pet stores, couldnt find the 'right' one. I even went to the big name store across the street from here and they wouldn't even allow me to hold to make sure it wouldnt bite. I said I just wanted to hold it, not the kids, but they still said no, that it was too stressful for the hamster?!?! Dont you think I would be the stressed one if we just bought it because it was cute but then bit everyone?!?
Anyways, we came here not knowing what to expect, i always assume small stores like this would be expensive, but it wasnt at all! If anything, it was cheaper!!
The lady (not sure of her name) came right over to us when we were checking out the hamsters and not only allowed me and my children to hold them, but she also brought us out back to wash out hands, gave us everything we needed to get started, so all I had to do was buy the cage! (which was cheaper than the big stores!)
All the animals are very well taken care of, really clean, look healthy and our overall experience was EXCELLENT!!!
Im bringing my doggy to get groomed, will update with a review asap! -

I come here to get my bunnies' nails trimmed because I'm a total wuss.
Despite the owner having a rabbit, there isn't a large selection for small animals in the store. I usually get the litter they prefer at a big box shop, but the owner has been really nice about special ordering some other items for us.
She's very knowledgeable as well! -

This place is a gem. I've owned pets for many years, and have not found that neighborhood pet store where you can both comfortably bring your pets (& kids, for that matter), AND find quality products and kind and knowledgable staff...Boston Pets is that place..
The staff (& owners) are special people - they take time to talk with you - something that is nearly obsolete in our bottom line culture of "move to the next in line."
When we were flying with our dog, we were giving suggestions to help make the transition easier..when we were looking for our special dog food (Innova), we found it here..and when we are just looking to hang out & browse the beautiful fish tanks (well cared for)..this place is perfect.
Located on 114 in Peabody - good to go to after the Northshore or Liberty Tree Mall errands, or just as a stand alone stop. It's worth it to shop somewhere where people care as much about your pets as you do. -

This is the best place on the North Shore for freshwater aquarium fish. Every fish I've purchased there is healthy, beautiful, genuinely cared for.
The staff is very kind and helpful. They really want you to succeed as a pet owner and are willing to help out in any way possible. Though surrounded by two corporate pet store, I truly believe their service, knowledge, and level of care are the best you can find. -

Mom & Pops Shop. Private parking lot. Carries Orijen. Owners work onsite. Open on Sunday. Remember to check-in, they offer a deal. Woohoo!

I'm glad that this place finally opened up. We need other options other than PetsMart and PetCo. The store itself has high-quality food (Innova) and quality toys; however, the staff seems to be less knowledgeable about dogs than I had hoped. The prices are competitive with other stores in the area and are usually even cheaper.
We took our dog to the groomer there last weekend. It was inexpensive and came out great. Unfortunately they gave our collar to another dog! However... they made up for it by giving us a free one of the same kind. I'm hoping that was just an oversight. Stop by this place for grooming and pet supplies! Be aware, their spa/salon/grooming is very small, so make an appointment ahead of time.
