Returned here recently.  When staying in the Boston, MA area, this is my hotel of choice.  It is out of the madness and insanity that is Boston hotels, yet close enough that one can get to Boston quickly by car or by train.  It's a wonderful location.  Very close to Logan Airport as well.  Excellent rates here too, particularly when compared to the rates in Boston itself (and especially when compared to what you are paying for when staying in Boston itself).

That aside, the customer service here is impeccable.  I've never encountered anything than friendly and attentive service here; a staff that truly knows how to take care of guests.  Absolutely stellar.

The rooms are immaculate, from bedroom to bathroom.  Bedding is luxurious and comfortable as well.

If you can, try to stay on the 9th floor - Concierge floor.  The service, amenities and such on this floor make an excellent hotel stay that much more enjoyable.

It also has a great restaurant and pub on the property (in the lobby).  Excellent breakfast and dinner and the pub is always good for some drinks and food as well.

A great place and one which I will return to time and time again.

The Marriott is not what I thought it would be..Sorta had high hopes for this place but maybe I set the bar to high? I just might have...

For one we got a room for the weekend. We had come down for the annual line dance meet up! The girlfriend loves to line dance so we go pretty much every year. This year it took place in their ballroom.

So with the prices of the rooms are set at at high $200 a night we ended up getting a deal. $119.99 a night. So its a start. So what do you get with this price you ask? (Or hell even the $200 a night norm for that matter.) Nothing! Just a bed with basic cable. It was a major let down. When I pay these prices I expect a few things...

    1) Free internet to come with the room! Not being charged another $15.00 on top of my nightly stay...Rip off...

    2) No fridge! Thats right folks. Better bring a cooler to a MARRIOTT in style! I mean really? I expect this from a lower end hotel/motel...(I shouldn't have to ask for this in today's day and age...) They also look at you funny if you bring a cooler in...Strange in my book.

    3) No microwave either.

    4) Having to pay extra to park. $9.00 a night. I just don't get it. Nor do I agree with it either.

    5) Room service that comes knocking on your door at 9:30am to see if you have check out yet...Check the computer! If you have the technology then use it. Just saying.

So now lets move on the plus's of the hotel. Things that I really enjoyed about it.

    1) The pool - Its nice be able to go for a quick swim when you want too. It does close at 11:00pm I think so plan around the times! They also give you towels as you sign in if you don't bring your own.

    2) The hot tub - It just makes for a good relaxing time!

    3) Gym - The gym is there for everyone. many newer work out machines. Bikes, weights, treadmills and so on!

    4) Room service during the day was pretty nice too. They kept the room pretty clean for us! Friendly too with what little we had to deal with them.

So over all I come to this conclusion. Its just over priced. Rooms are neat and clean but I know a hotel down the street for a lesser price that gives you a lot more. Fridge, microwave, free internet and free parking all comes with it! So next time I may stay else way and just drive up when we wanna go to the classes.

Sorry Marriott you drop the ball on this one...

    /End of rant...

My extended family was visiting us and they stayed at the Quincy Marriott. We decided to have a quick drink at Kilroy's. The beer/mixed drinks were very expensive and light on the good stuff aka alcohol. I don't think our waitress was a local person since she has never heard of pumpkin beer! C'mon really?? Do yourself a favor and drive a mile down the road (Quincy Center, Hancock Street) to a real pub (Half Door, Clash of the Ash, Remicks, Fuji 1546, Karma Lounge). Anyway, we went to Marriott's Hancock Restaurant for their friday all-you-can-eat Prime Rib special. One would assume that $16 only include the prime rib, luckily that was not the case. We were all pleasantly surprised that it included two sides (potatoes and veggie). Our server was actually politely pushing us for seconds on the prime rib. :)

    PS: 3hr free parking!

This is my family's top choice of lodging when we visit Quincy annually to see our relatives. We have secured some really amazing rates (as low as $120 per night even during the summer) as a result of booking far in advance and utilizing AAA and federal government worker discounts.

The hotel has extensive amenities on-site: a shuttle to the T station, a bar, restaurants, a business center where you can print your airline boarding passes for free, a place where you can buy your morning Starbucks. I liked the large lobby; it was comfortable enough to wait around in, and attractive enough to take some family photos.

I was impressed by how quiet the hotel was in spite of the constant flow of events, such as conferences and weddings, taking place here. We rarely heard noise from the hall, above us, or from adjoining rooms. The rooms were attractive and clean, and the beds pretty comfy. The rooms don't include an in-room refrigerator, to our slight dismay. (Maybe one can be had upon request? We didn't ask.) The vending machines sell bottles of water and soda at $2 - not bad.

Like everyone else, I'm not pleased with the "nickel and diming": $6 nightly for parking and $12.95 for wi-fi. When we asked if wi-fi was included with our room (we didn't know), the hotel clerk made a snarky comment that we already got a cheap rate with our government discount. Hmmph!

We didn't deal much with the front desk staff, but no complaint there. When we arrived, we found that our special requests had been addressed: adjoining rooms, extra towels, a crib in the room for my baby. The housekeeping staff did a consistently good job. Also a big thank you to the "engineer" (yes, that's what he was called) who came to our room within minutes to address a clogged toilet (haha). My biggest beef was with the people selling the coffee; three mornings in a row - and with different staff each time - they got our orders wrong and acted like it was OUR mistake. Mind you, it's not actually a Starbucks - they only sell Starbucks coffee. A real Starbucks location probably wouldn't have such poor customer serivce. But if you stick to your basic coffee and don't ask for any blended drinks, you should be fine.

Very nice hotel, however they want to charge $13 a night for Wifi.  This seems very overpriced.  However, the rest of the hotel and the amenities are very nice.  The views from the higher floors allow you to take in breathtaking views of downtown Boston.

I ran a week-long conference here, and stayed on site, so this reviews the facilities as a hotel and an event space.

Hotel: We (my co-worker and I) were upgraded to the concierge level, a great perk considering the long hours we put in daily.  The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom typical.  We were on the 8th floor that overlooked part of the Quarry and office park.  Not the nicest view, but pretty cool to be up that high.  The concierge level meant free breakfast, which to me meant coffee plus refills and a few extra bottles of juice.

I used the gym almost every day.  It was a typical hotel gym.  My only complaints on that front involved the businessmen using the entire weight floor for their routines - I had to huddle in the corner to use my five pound dumbells.

    On to the event:
The hotel staff were astoundingly accommodating.  Ours was a group of academics from all over the US and abroad.  They set the rooms exactly as they were meant to be on the BEOs.  Every day, one staffer and I walked through each breakout room to make sure it wasn't too cold (we had several complaints about the A/C before we figured out optimal temperatures.)
Ramon, Meg, and Junior did whatever they could to help us, and dropped of the occasional Starbucks free drink voucher to keep us well-caffeinated.
We set up a cash concession stand for participants.  The service was prompt, although food prices were a little high for the portions.

I highly recommend this particular Marriott if you're traveling in the Boston area (they have a shuttle that will bring you to the closest T stop) or for a conference or corporate meeting.

This is the hotel to stay in if you're doing business in Quincy. It's truly full-service, with a few different restaurant/bar options (including a sizable Irish pub), room service till late, and a very surprisingly great fitness center with an indoor, heated swimming facility, hot tub and sauna.

So yeah, it's a bit isolated from if you don't have wheels, but there are free shuttle buses that service the Crown Colony office park and run you to the T. I don't generally seek to be in Quincy, but when I am, I'd gladly come back here!

It is a nice hotel and all and Kilroy's Clam Chowder is "wicked good".  It's only $6 to park which is pretty good compared to Marriott's in the city, but
I don't like the fact that they ding you $12.95 per device for wi-fi in the room.  I usually like to connect my PC and iPad but can't justify the expense.  5 more stays until I hit gold and then it will be free.

The rooms are nice and pretty much the Marriott norm, modern, comfortable etc.

I stayed here with my husband and a group of friends for a Marriage Retreat. The hotel was a great choice, they took care of everything and the catered food here was very good. We had a 3 course dinner on a Friday night, then brunch buffet the next morning. We were very satisfied with everything.

The room- Very clean, super comfortable king size beds, plush blankets and pillows, and nice flat screen tv.

The Bathroom- Clean, Modern, and very spacious.

Staff- Was very friendly and helpful.

    Free Parking.

Friday late night.. my husband and I were kinda hungry and didn't want to leave the hotel. It was too late for room service so he wandered the hall to look for a vending machine. Didn't find one but he went down to front desk and they had sandwiches, snacks, ice cream, sodas for sale. Kinda pricey but we had no other choice.

All in all we had a pleasant weekend and the hotel was very comfortable.

A bit dated- typical Marriott hotel room from 10-15 years ago (wallpaper is a dead giveaway).  Beds are a little too soft, rooms and bathroom are a little small...I stayed in 3 hotels in the span of a week and I have to say, this was my least favorite.

Paid internet ($12.95 per day) is a service that is so dated...any decent hotel should offer it for free for their guests.  The bar and lounge in the hotel is a nice place to meet up w/ friends...very open (it'a also a coffee cafe in the morning) and inviting.

Location is a pain (30 minutes south of Boston), on top of a rocky hill near Quincy T station and some office parks off I-93, but close to the wedding I was attending.

Decent rates most of the time, but we happened to stay during the weekend of Head of the Charles...total price gouging.  Even with better rates, I probably won't stay here again.

We have been staying at the Marriott Quincy since they first opened and my husband refuses to stay anywhere else.

It's all good here, aside from the occasional Masshole (the guy checking us in who was annoyed I had him repeat himself or the bartender who ignored me for having to use my phone when my husband called).

The beds are very comfortable, an excellent location from everywhere, the restaurant is very good, room service good, and the work out area is fabulous.

Looking forward to going back next year.

I stayed at this hotel for vacation in Boston.  Where do I start?  The concierge Mike was awesome, we was a great help and always had a worthy answer for us. Though the website states they have no shuttle service, they do in fact have a shuttle.  And yes it can get you to Quincy Adams "T" Station.

The gym/pool/spa was clean, fully functional.  All the machines were working and appeared relatively new.

The beds were quite possibly the very best hotel beds I've slept on, with a PERFECT blend of super soft pillow top and firm mattress below.  The housekeeping staff were always courteous and attentive to the requests we had for them.

Overall this hotel was a pleasure to stay at, as well as Boston a great city to visit, and I will most definitely plan to stay at this hotel when I visit the greater Boston area again.

Oh yeah, just an FYI, the locals pronounce Quincy like "Quinn-zee"

Another vanilla hotel run by a big chain.  Didn't expect it to cost me $80 for a cab from Logan to this facility.  My fault for not researching it well enough.  Big plus is an on-site hertz car rental.  Shuttle to mall and train station mitigates the inconvenience of not having a car.

I stayed here for a wedding recently and everything was fabulous! The hotel room was pretty and clean, the staff was very helpful, room service was tasty and prompt. They put on a hell of a wedding, and all of the food was amazing! There's a cute bar in the hotel lobby. When security broke up our wedding afterparty, they were polite enough to redirect us and our beer to an outdoor patio where we could continue the festivities. There's also a shuttle that runs hourly to the T station, which is less than 5 minutes away from the hotel.

The best part? the hotel is stationed  on top of a granite hilltop and has really great views of, well, Quincy.

My wedding, both ceremony & reception, was at the Boston Quincy Marriott in July.

They did a fantastic job, all the way around. The staff was SO friendly, and SO helpful. We had detail meetings, we were constantly in contact (thank you Breana Anderson, our event coordinator, and her staff), they handled whatever curve ball the state (requirements), our Indian relatives, our decorator, or we threw at them. I tell you, we gave them a lot to handle, but they handled it all.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel, was that it was a large enough venue, they had had Hindu weddings there before, and had their own Indian caterer (who is amazing too). They were familiar with the basics, so we didn't have people looking at us like we were nuts.

The hotel itself is only 6 or 7 years old at this point, and it's in great shape. It's not the easiest hotel to locate, but everyone seemed fine with the directions, which is a good thing considering most guests were not from New England.

What can I say? They were great to us.

Crazy or brilliant, depending on how you look at things, my husband and I decided to do a last minute getaway on the 4th of July weekend. I found this hotel through a Travelzoo email and the deal was pretty awesome for a holiday weekend. At $129/night for a king or a two doubles no 3 night limit for this holiday weekend, this deal perked our interest. AND Boston for the 4th of July....how could a person resist? We also discovered that using our AAA card, we could get the room for $112/night!!!

It was about a 4 hour drive from Long Island to Quincy, MA. The hotel was on top of a hill and pretty impressive on arrival. The lobby is in modern decor which was to our taste. Check-in was easy breezy and everyone working the front desk were super friendly (in a nice and not weird way).

The room was great. It's the new typical Marriott standard with the awesome comfy beds and the Bath & Body aromatherapy soaps/shampoos/lotion line in the bathroom. I even found a catalog in the drawer of the desk where you could order everything and anything you liked in the room from the bedspreads to the actual beds to the lamps....etc. (Pricing on it is pretty crazy, but if you're into recreating the experience back home, Marriott's got you covered!)

The location of the hotel is great. It's only 10-15 minutes from downtown Boston. If you're driving the parking is also free at the hotel. If you're not driving, there's a shuttle that can get you to the train station. We didn't use the train when we were in Boston since we were driving, but I'm sure that I saw that T transportation sign just about everywhere.

As for hotel amenities....there is a gym with an indoor pool. The gym is small, but not a closet like at some hotels. I think I counted about 5 eliptical and 5 treadmills. I was totally bummed that I didn't pack sneakers or exercising outfits. You have to enter the gym to make it to the pool. We made it there for a viewing, but didn't actually get to test it out.

I only took off one star because it did not have free internet and free breakfast. I don't really care that much about the free breakfast, but in this day and age, I really like being connected for free even if it's just in a public area of the hotel. Internet is available in your room is $12.95 per day.

Also, I have one small gripe with the TV. The TV default screen when you first turn it on was a little complicated for me to figure out. They had all these options to do movies and tv shows that already played.... I don't know, but I am a woman and I enough trouble figuring the tv in my own house with my tech-loving husband. I enjoy the simplicity of turning on and off the tv and flipping through the channels when I'm away. If I want to pay for a movie, there should just be a movie button on the remote control. I don't think that that's asking for too much.

With all that being said, I would totally stay at this hotel again if I'm visiting Boston. It's clean, well kept and up to the Marriott standard that I've come to expect.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Marriott in Quincy Mass and out of the many hotels I stay at, this was the best by far for service and comfort. I was greeted at the front door by a bell man and the person at the desk was all smiles with a nice greeting that felt good after a long day in the city. The hotel was recently remodeled and the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. My family and I dined in the restaurant, the meal was very good and the prices were nowhere near the crazy prices they charge just 10 minutes away in downtown boston. I want to thank everyone at the Marriott Quincy for making our stay in Boston a pleasure.

Stayed at this hotel for my brother's wedding last week.  I must say that I'm a loyal Marriott patron and this location didn't disappoint.  This is a large hotel with lots of amenities.  The staff was very friendly.  The rooms were clean and the hotel is well maintained.  I even can vouch for the hotel restaurant where the food was surprisingly good.  The only downfall is that the hotel bar closes at 12:30p on the weekend.  This is really dumb.  Especially when there's nothing else to do in Quincy except sit in the bar and get drunk.  All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this location.

I just stayed at the Boston Marriott Quincy after a work trip to the Boston suburbs. Apparently this hotel is only 6 years old and you can definitely tell it's in very good condition.  The rooms are your typical Marriott rooms...spacious, the Marriott bed with the down comforter, nice bathrooms, etc. The service was good as well- check in took about 3 minutes and I called and had a few things brought to my room (including room service), which was very fast.  If I  was coming to this area I would definitely stay here again. However, there are so many cute boutique hotels in the Boston area that next time I would try to stay downtown even though it's less convenient.

I absolutely love this hotel. It's on top of a mountain. It is very clean and well decorated every time I have stayed here. The people are very nice and the rooms are very spacious and the beds are awesome and comfortable to sleep in. It would have gotten a 5 star if the Internet was free in the rooms. The Internet is free in the lounge but when you are in your room, you can still hit a WiFi signal but they make you pay for it. $12.95 a day. I can understand for a plug in Internet but not for WiFi. They do not have complimentary breakfast or even coffee. It is $3 for a small cup of coffee. I come here every year and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Check out is also at 12pm which is pretty cool.   I cannot tell you what the rate is here because I never pay when I stay here but I am sure it is higher then a Motel 8 and lower then at a Hilton in London  ;-P

Shame on Marriott for putting their reputable name on this place.   RUDE staff at the front desk, a door man who looked at guests carrying suitcases rather than even opening the door, noisy housekeepers slamming doors and yelling at 11:00 PM, the management should be ashamed !.     The breakfast buffet is excellent but the waitstaff act destitute for tips.  They ask for them before you're seated.   There's an Irish Pub on the premises but the food was terrible they shortchanged me.   I had to call and ask that the correct change(the extra 10 they owed me be brought to our room).   The pool area is a joke but could be lovely.  It's a shame they don't have it adjoining their inviting patio with some screened doors.  An Indoor/Outdoor feel for the warmer months would be a plus and you could breathe without inhaling chlorine.
They have a sometimes reliable shuttle to the T Red Line station which we liked, but overall this hotel is a disappointment but a very clean one.
THEY CHARGE FOR PARKING IN AN UNSECURED LOT AND FOR INTERNET.    $12.95/day.   There are many options in this area.  I would not go back there.

I stayed here this weekend for a wedding and I was a bit turned off. The hotel is nice and modern but service isn't that great due to it being so popular...They constantly have events going on...Parking is a JOKE....The room key can't be read while trying to exit the parking lot so you end up waiting a long time to exit..Some outlets don't work in the rooms and the heat barely warmed up the rooms...Also, I had to call room service 3 times just to get toothpaste... Some people at the front desk are great and others (Muhammed) are a joke...On the other hand, If you host an event here they will take care of you so I'd recommend them for this...

I was a guest @ Quincy Marriott for a recent summer wedding. The facility, staff and food were all impeccable! However, the restrooms were located far away from our ballroom venue. This was a concern given that there were elderly/handicapped guests in our party. Also, I thought it very poor planning that the facility lacked a private bridal suite/bath for the bridal party's use. The bride was forced to cope with hefting layers of tulle to use a public restroom with swimmers in wet bathing suits, nosy dinner guests and gawkers. The bride and groom should have had a quiet room to repair to when they needed to refresh and relax. This was not possible given the current facility design. Also, there was a financial seminar going on @ the time of the wedding. It ruined the mood of our celebration when we stepped out of the ballroom and ran smack into an "Amway convention!"  But again, the food was marvelous and the staff was warm and gracious, traits which were most appreciated. Thank you!
