It's a pretty decent Marriott. We were way up on high, so our view of the Charles and beyond was fantastic. My main complaint was that the lounges are 100% closed for all of the weekend. Um, are you serious?? Just because I come here on the weekend means I get no perks at all? And they forgot to give me my arrival gift (the gripes of a Platinum member, I know).

The internet is expensive and the one in our room didn't even work. Otherwise, the rooms are decent sized and comfy. The beds, as always, rule.

I did not stay here, but I did spend four hours here doing interviews so my review will be more about the lobby and the amenities.  The lobby of this particular Marriott has a Starbucks and a bar.  The Starbucks is very convenient and a nice thing to have inside a Marriott, especially since it is a regular sized Starbucks.

There are plenty of areas here to sit and talk or interview if you must.  There are comfortable chairs and tables near the bar and the rest of lobby is scattered with alternative seating all around.  The location seems prime.  Public transportation was right there in the form of a T Stop and of course, cabs out front of the Marriott.

My only beef with this Marriott was that I could not find the restrooms on the lobby level if they exist.  I even looked at the floor plan and there was no indication on the diagram either.

In terms of having a place to meet or do business, the lobby of this Marriott is a nice and easy option.

Solid accomodations in the Cambridge in the heart of the MIT area.  Prime location in terms of public transit as it sits almost on top of the Kendall/MIT T stop.  Nice lobby with attentive front desk staff.

The best part about this particular Marriott?  A waterfront view room overlooking the Charles River on an amazingly sunny day.  I could pine over the view all day!

A very nice hotel in a convenient location (close to MIT and T-Stops)! I stayed here in high school for a debate tournament held at Harvard. I'm sure my ridiculously good memories from these tournaments are coloring my review somewhat, but so be it.
I stayed at this hotel three years in a row and never experienced problems - neither did anyone on my team, either, that I know of.
There's a Starbucks in the lobby! Good times. And a GREAT way for overachieving high schoolers to overcaffeinate themselves before heading into the 10-degree-max air, ready to debate!
Nice hotel...not in Boston, in Cambridge, but if you need to be in Cambridge or don't mind the T (which is pretty well maintained), go for it.

I stayed in this hotel from Tues-Thurs and got a room with a king sized bed.  The amenities were nice: bath & body works aromatherapy shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap.  (I'm always a sucker for those things.)  The tv was new- flat screen.  The bed was soft and heavenly.  My shower also had two shower heads- fancy.  The bedside lamps had extra electric outlets on them so I didn't have to hunt for plugs for my phone charger and laptop.  The Kendall/MIT T-station is right outside the lobby.  On the downside, parking is $23/night, there is no complimentary breakfast (although a Starbucks and food court exists downstairs), the bathroom countertop is tiny, and internet is $13/day.  The room itself was also very pricey.  The price wasn't really my concern because my company chose the hotel and paid for it, so I definitely enjoyed my stay.  However, would I come here on my own?  Probably not, simply because of all the extra pricing.  Grand total for my stay was $880 for 3 nights, not including the price for parking.  This is just hotel room + internet fees.

I will only be reviewing the internet cafe and gift shop here as I have never stayed overnight at this place.

The internet cafe at this place literally served as my office a few times when I first started at my current job and I didn't yet have my laptop. For  $15, I got 90 minutes of internet time, complete with free printing. There's only two computers here but they are in their own room separate from the lobby and it's never busy or full. It was really perfect and available every time I needed it. I had privacy, it was quiet, and was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge for printing, or a time limit for use.

The gift shop here is ridiculously overpriced ($4 for a liter of water) but the same two ladies who are always working here are very nice and friendly. This place is very convenient for me, as I work in this area and there are no drug stores to be found. I've stopped in here on more than one occasion for emergency items (umbrella, etc) and they always had what I needed.

Not the nicest Marriott I've stayed in, but not bad.  My room was comfortable, with a great view of downtown Boston.  The Starbucks in the lobby was a convenient option for breakfast (much cheaper than the hotel buffet), and the proximity to MIT was nice.  The price for internet access was pretty steep, and I could hear my neighbor whistling to his 6:30 alarm (possibly the most unique rendition of OMD's 'How Bizarre' I've heard).  But, I slept well, and got to work quickly in the morning--can't complain!

For some reason or another, during my cousin's wild wedding weekend, this was one of three hotels I stayed in.  Having relinquished my room at my beloved Westin Copley (hey, I like my SPG Gold points), my friend and I got shoved into a room here that was a part of the wedding block.  It was your standard Marriott (basing this on having stayed at one other Marriott), with floral bedding and "nice" dark wood furniture.  Comfortable enough, and seemingly catered to the Sales Manager who graduated from Courtyard by Marriott status and Big 4 Acctg Firm types who can't seem to get their clients to put them up in a nicer hotel.

But what's the point of a nicer hotel really?  When catering to that demographic, I suppose all one desires is a nice bathroom, comfortable bed, functioning A/C, and high speed internet.  To that end, the Marriott succeeds.

But wait, I am not a Big 4 Accountant.  Nor do I travel the country peddling enterprise software.  I am jetset globe trotteur  (and yes, I spelled trotter that way on purpose).  Alas, my parents and greater family was running the show (in similar fashion to the big corporations who shove the aforementioned consultants and business road warriors in here), so it worked out just fine for the 10 hrs I spent.

I didn't pay for the hotel so I cannot say anything about the price.
I thought the hotel was very clean and the gym was 24 hrs.
The lack of free internet was bothersome though.

I thought this was one of the nicer Marriott's I've been in lately. Right across the street from MIT and literally steps away from the Kendall/MIT T stop. Nice, clean hotel. Since Marriott has re-done their image, they've embraced the super comfy bed, and I slept so well! The odd shape of the building means floor-to-ceiling windows in the corner that look out over the Charles but not into your next-door neighbor's room, which is nice.

I typically try to avoid hotel restaurants, but I do have a weakness for room service. I got a turkey club and fries ordered to the room, and it was very good. You'd be surprised - you CAN screw up a turkey club. And I had a brownie sundae - also quite yummy, especially for room service.

The pool leaves a lot to be desired. An all-stainless steel tiny enclosure, you'll make yourself dizzy with all of the flip turns you do!

I've stayed at the Hyatt Cambridge, which is similar in price, and I highly recommend this over the Hyatt - avoid the Hyatt Cambridge like the plague!  The only downside to the Marriott is that Kendall Square isn't really "happening," so be sure to get a T map and take it one stop over to Central Square or down into Boston to find some things to do!

Nice but exorbitant price during MIT and Harvard graduation/ reunion week. This place was great and the views, fantastic from the 22ND floor but paying close to $500 a night was not that great. and they do not even give you a free bottle of water in the room. There was no breakfast included, the Internet was $10 a day and $5 for a bottle of water.  This was not the Ritz or 4 Seasons by any stretch. It was convenient to reunion events and the T stop. I would stay here again but not at that price. They also only have 2 washers and 2 dryers for 26 floors of hotel rooms.
The indoor pool was great and it had this super suit dryer thingy. The pool has an attendant and she stocks the towels all the time.
The MC2 restaurant is very nice and who would not love a Starbucks in the lobby and Au Bon Pain in the food court.
This stay was more than our monthly mortgage so I cannot give them 4 stars.

Got this hotel off of http://Priceline.com and it was a steal!!!  We paid about $140 for the room and it came with a beautiful view on the 17th floor.  The check-in desk is super speedy and friendly.  The location is literally right in front of the Kendall station which is very convenient!  If it wasn't for the online deal, I doubt my boyfriend and I would have stayed here.  Also, minus 1 star for the area lacking in choices of restaurants/bars - there's just tons of office buildings.

The views of Boston are some of the best you can find. Prices, well they go way up during Graduation. Fantastic Location, just far enough away from Boston to feel slow paced but a quick walk or T ride away from all the action. The staff was nice. Negatives: They Should give internet for free. The rooms are nice, but we would hear noise from the hallway and vice versa, as the crack under the door was about and inch!

I am only reviewing the lobby bathrooms. They are very good, and if you're stuck in that stinking food court, skip their bathrooms and head up the escalators to use the hotel's. Head and shoulders above. You'll thank me.

Although the building is conveniently located directly above the Kendall T station and the building certainly has a striking design crafted by our very own Moshe Safdie, I say skip it and try the Residence Marriot Inn near by for a cheaper and more kitchen filled experience.  My parents stay there or at least they did before they split up.  Or just hit the local bed and breakfast's.

This hotel was pretty nice, but it's a marriott so you would expect it to be. the rooms were big and the beds comfy, the bathroom really clean. It was across the street from the metro station and there were a lot of good places to eat around. It's also near the universities so it was a decent stay. We were only there for a night and it was a little on the pricey side but it was a comfortable stay. They had a restaurant in the hotel that I heard was good, but we didnt eat there. And the conceirges were really helpful, providing us maps and directions to places we wanted to go. The y also had a little giftshop there that was pretty useful

Nice hotel but the thermostats in the rooms never EVER work right (I have been staying here for 10 years now). Food sucks EXCEPT Characters clam chowder and burgers and the Concierge level breakfast. Can get very expensive. Residence Inn is cheaper but only half the Marriott points if you are counting.

Had a very nice stay at a decent price (online). Very convenient location right off of the T, clean rooms, comfy beds, excellent views, and checking in was a breeze.  The only gripe was that there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign provided and housekeeping was not welcomed that morning.
