Where do I begin.. what got me to Boston Market to start with was nostalgia. I used to looove Boston Market. Haven't been to one in probably 10 years. Happened to be in the area and saw the name pop up on my phone. Instantly I'm excited. Had to do some convincing but my mother finally agreed. So we pull into the lot. I wasn't even 100% the place was even still in business. The one flickering light out front wasn't too convincing. but after seeing some movement inside we parked and pulled up the menu on my phone. Soo many good choices. Do I want the chicken or the turkey.. do I want some ribs or maybe a nice pot pie? So many options.

We get an idea of what we want and head inside.. the place legit just looks trashy.. but that's just my opinion I guess.. we stand at the counter and look up at the menu, unfortunately the menu had half of the items blacked out with duct tape.. so as we struggle to read the menu, the loud, obnoxious "manager" finally finishes yelling across the place to his buddy and come over to us.. before I can even get a question out of my mouth he interjects and says "chicken only, white or dark?"
So I'm a little thrown off because out of the 20 items that Boston Market offers, I'm given the choice of white or dark and chicken only.. that's it.

Honestly I'm getting tired even just leaving this review because I'm not even half way through my grievances with this place. feel like I'm writing a research paper. I just want people to know about this SAUGUS location and what they are getting into because i really wish I was forewarned

Let me just quickly say that I don't think in my entire life that I have left more than maybe 1 bad reviews of anywhere that I have ever gone. I can usually justify to myself a reason for whatever bad experience I had. And if it's that bad I just don't return. Simple. But this was another level

So I will save everyone from another 15 minute read about the rest of my nightmare dinner and close it out quickly

Im not here to lie so I will admit the chicken was pretty good.. but the half cold half hot minuscule portion of what they passed off as Mac and cheese and the ice cold potatoes with hot gravy were absolute trash.
We sat at the cleanest of the dirty tables
We ate whatever was remotely edible
We stacked our trash on top of the other stack of trash that was piled on top of the full barrel.
I gave the poor young girl working the register a tip because even though everything else in this place was horrible, she was polite and professional and smiled and did what she could do make the experience alright. But also because she had to put up with that loud inappropriate "manager" for a whole shift.

So who is at fault for the way that place is? I don't know. Maybe it's the help, maybe it's whoever is in charge of store, maybe it's Boston Market as a whole. I can't say.

Now if for some reason you are still reading this review and didn't make it half through and just decide that you weren't going to find out for yourself. Then I will beggg of you to take your business elsewhere. Please don't waste your money or time

Boston Market should be ASHAMED of this location..

No butter with rolls
No gravy
No turkey
Eating area smells like bathroom!!!!!
No ice!!! Who drinks warm coke. Of course they tell me AFTER I PAID Eating in this place was gross smells like a toilet. NEVER AGAIN

I was very surprised to have an excellent turkey dinner at Boston market.

The Turkey bowl was amazing with turkey mashed potatoes and corn.

The plate of turkey large size had an extra amount of turkey all white breast with two sides and cornbread I chose the vinaigrette broccoli and string beans definitely a fabulous meal.

I'm very surprise for fast food I think it's the best around.

I Give Boston Market a Solid 4 Stars.

Service was very good and the food is great. I love Boston Market because I can get fresh food like spinach, beans, and more.

The staff was very cordial and friendly and the food was good so this location hit the mark. Ordered half chicken and it was juicy and well seasoned which I had planned to take some back to the hotel for later but it was so good I finished it all. The sweet potato and spinach sides were perfect as well and topped off with an even better piece of pecan pie. Kudos to all for a job well done.

NEVER GOING BACK !!

Have always been a fan of Boston market and was so sad when it closed a few years ago ! So when it opened back up I had to go get apples and Mac and cheese for thanksgiving dinner ! BIG MISTAKE ! The people that work there were rude and had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for a catering size of apples (I had to feed 5 ppl) and he goes out back and finally finds a container. And it just goes down hill from here ... I buy my apples and Mac and cheese ($26 which is outrageous!!) and go home. I get home and open up the apples and it looked like it was wearing a wig ! The apples were so old and rotten they were growing hair ! And not just a little bit like a couple inches of hair !!! How long were they in there in order to get like that ?!! Needless to say, I was highly disgusted and it ruined my thanksgiving. My dad had drove back down there in order to get my money back and when he arrived ... the manager didn't want anything to do with dealing the situation and didn't even apologize !! Now I work in a restaurant and that's the first thing you do when something goes wrong with someone's food !! She was rude and just didn't care that her store is selling food that looks like it could kill you ! And to top it all off they refused to refund me all of my money !!

This Boston market is no where like the old one ! Not one bit !! And it's a sure thing I'll never go back there !

I have been going there 3 times a week since they opened back up
It was great until last few times
There back to letting the young kids run the place and it all going to shit
There was 7 people kids and half were on there phones while the sides were empty and place was dirty and ignored me for 10 mins I ordered a chicken combo sandwich on white bread they started to argue with each other that the were out of white bread after 10 mins they found some and it was old but still made the sandwich
When I got home had to throw it out sad
I really love the food at this chain and sad because I have to find somewhere else to go if they can lose a customer that goes there 3-4 times week they will not last long
I wish they would get there shit together

Every time-never really had any complaints. Employees don't get tips yet are pleasant and productive each time. Thx :)

We've experienced a problem with our order and I wanna thank Cheryl and John for their kind and excellent service. We got a whole meal for free and I just wanna say thank you again guys you're the best!!

Not sure what happened, whether it was local management or the brand itself, but the quality of the food and service drastically changed since I raved about them before. Slowly but surely it got worse and worse until I found out recently that it closed down. Given the quality issues, I can't say I'm shocked about this at all but still sad that it even happened.

Boston Market in general has gone down in quality the last few years and I do not see them lasting in the region for too much longer. Not in a place like the greater Boston area, where there is just too much high quality eating establishments to choose from and lackluster products will not be tolerated.
