Review from Etienne P.

This is another one of my guilty pleasures. Nothing fancy or pretentious about Boston Market. Just really good rotisserie chicken and comfort food. We really like to pick up a chicken meal for three when we feel too lazy to cook. Yeah there's just two of us, but I luurve me a good Boston Market leftover lunch the next day!
My favorite sides are the mashed potatoes and gravy and the creamed spinach. That gravy's like kryptonite to Superman. I just can't resist it! The corn bread is real tasty too! Sweet, but not too much. And just the right consistency. Their rotisserie chicken is some of the best out there. They have it down to a science so you get perfect chicken-y goodness off the spit every time. For lunch I also like their chicken carver sandwich with a side of mashed taters and gravy (of course). Oohh and check out the deal of the century: they'll throw in an extra chicken for a buck ninety nine with your family combo meal! Wowza!
This is a place your order at the counter and bring it to your own table type of place. So I can't rate table service, but the folks behind the counter are super nice and polite.
There are a couple of things that knocked a star off. They haven't got the refilling of sides timing quite right so we had to wait a whole 6 minutes for our taters last time. I've also thought the bread on the carver sandwich was a bit dry. That won't stop me from daydreaming about a succulent bird spinning in the oven every time I drive by though. -

I'm sick and craving mac n cheese. Boston Market is my closest option. Yes I actually drove by there sick to get what I wanted. I bought about three meals worth of food on my way home from the doctors so I wouldn't have to get out again.
They've expanded the menu...and I'm not sure that's a good thing yet. Seriously, I get it about sliders being all the rage. When I want a meatloaf sammich I do not want it on a slider. Not even sure I want bread, kinda just want an excuse to put chedder cheese, tomatoes and lettuce on top of meatloaf. I liked the old menu better--chicken, turkey, ham, meatloaf and sides. Now they have all these dipping sauces and stuff.
And the spicy chicken tortilla soup is way too salty for me. It's really really salty.
One saving grace of the new format--the soda dispenser. They have one of the new fangled ones where it mixes what evs you want. I LOVE strawberry lemonade. I love it more when it's light. I love it more when it can be half strawberry and half cherry...no problemo.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Shanna L.
I hate to do this, but have to kick a star off. Boston Market has forgone the ways of making real tea and having to go through the pain of sweetening it, only to install some weird machine that you have to press a button and "select your flavor" and then it spits out this terrible mixture that looks like when the coke fountain is out of syrup and it's all watery.
Ew.
I still got my chicken pot pie and sweet potatoes today, but skipped the tea. BRING BACK THE REAL STUFF!Listed in: No, Kitty it's MY pot pie!

This is like McDonalds--fast food--except they serve chicken instead of burger. That said, some of the chicken can be tasty. The thing is, I can make a whole chicken at home for the price they charge for one plate, so I am not sold on the value. And by the time you add gravy to the potatoes you've lost any health benefit by eating chicken. I wish I had bought this stock when it sank to .13 a share, other than that it is not a fast food fave of mine.
