3.5 stars, but seeing this is the first review, I'll round it up to four.
I had two friends in town who were doing the Bike, Beach, and Brewery Tour with Boston Bike Tours and thought I'd tag along, since the description of the tour would take us to places that I'd never been to in Boston, even though I've lived here for six years.
The description on the site stated that we'd start in Boston Common at 10AM and bike through such places as South Boston, Castle Island, Carson Beach, JFK Library, and Dorchester Heights. However, since the description of the tour was put on the site, JFK Library and Dorchester Heights have been eliminated. The description of the site should be exact to the tour itself, seeing we each paid $39 for the tour... specifically speaking, we didn't get exactly what we paid for. I was really looking forward to Dorchester Heights, but we didn't end up going.
Other then that, the tour itself was a lot of fun. The bike riding was really easy and we were lucky enough not to get hit by any cars or yelled at by crazy Bostonian drivers. We kept a good pace and the tour guide (the owner) was knowledgeable about general Boston history. The bikes were fine... not brand new, but not falling apart. Perfect for what we needed. We were also supplied helmets and water, and were alloted a "break" for food and the restroom.
All in all, a good time, but make sure your tour is still how it describes on the website before booking.
