I had the Sea Bass and Leek Risotto, which was recommended by our lovely server Daniela ( from St. Paulo) It was amaaaaazing. I also had the white sangria, 2 glasses! So delish.

My friend had the strip steak which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Everything came out timely, and hot. No complaints whatsoever.

Which they had really hot latin guys as servers lol, I mean.. Bein in weho and all, but I was still very happy with the food and service. and Daniela was a great server. Present, without interupting, polite, quick, and had great timing, never interupted.

    THE POSITIVES
Given the price of all the items on the menu their portions are generous.
    2. They are opened late hours. (so you can eat after the clubs :)
    3. Huge Menu so there are a wider variety for foods you can get.
    4. All the waiters are knowledgeable with what particular dish pairs up with the types of "WINE" they have at the restaurant. (The waiters pretty much do their due diligence when it comes to wine.

So I'm just the thousand'th odd person promoting this place, but that is because it is that good. I was recommended this joint by an artist at the shop where I got my latest tattoo. It was 1 am, I had just finished an almost 4 hour session getting inked and was in need of some seriously good food.

The place was bumping even at 1 am and lot of ppl coming from theatres, comedy shows and live music to get their after late night food fix, as this place is open late.

I got their steak pizza and chicken brochette. The pizza was cooked in a massive oven. Thin crust and delicious. I saw my steak get cooked on the grill to my liking. Then chopped and spread on the pizza. That my friends is a true steak pizza.
I was told to get the chicken brochette by the lady at the tattoo shop and man it was good! Anything wrapped in bacon is good as any hog eater will verify, but that gorgonzola cream sauce - wow! I don't even like gorgonzola because of its strong taste, but this was just so good. I even dipped my pizza in it!!!!!!

As an added bonus, if you are getting takeout and have to wait because you walked in and ordered (like me!), there is a strip club across the street to entertain you!!! The cover was $20, so I didnt' go, as I'd rather spend my money on food, but its just an option to kill some time at 1am, while you wait 20 minutes for your food! lol

I've been here a couple times its a small place a little wait if you go on the weekends. Once you go inside its worth the wait. Very large menu I've had their pastas and salads all of which come in decent size portions and taste very good. The best part is the hours, perfect for spot for after club. Come here an enjoy!

Tried this place again for lunch and definitely had a better experience, but still not a great experience.  The service was good because we had a different waiter this time and we were seated inside.

    Items ordered:

Chicken Plate- $9.50-  Medicore.  Wouldn't order again.  The chicken was too salty and more on the dry side.  I really wish they would serve brown rice here as a healthy alternative as oppose to white rice.

Half Blue Salad with Fish- $8.50- Definitely better than the Chicken Plate.  The fish wasn't overcooked and was flavorful but not too overpowering.

Would probably only return if I'm really hungry late at night and happen to be in the area.

Overhyped. But I'm giving this place 3 stars for delicious complimentary starter bread and the leftovers being a bit more tasty then the meal itself. =P

The restaurant is kind of tiny. We went during a Friday evening around 7:30pm and it was starting to get busy. Luckily we didn't have to wait for a table.  Ambiance is ok, but I wouldn't want to be seated by the entrance. Lots of foot traffic and noise from the kitchen. But it is also loud in the restaurant.

Starter bread - fresh and warm. Delish. Light sprinkling of parmesan and sun dried tomatoes on top.
Kibe - Fried bulgar wheat mixed with ground meat and herbs. Kinda of like meatballs but with a crunch. I liked it! Loved the crust!

Chicken Skewers plate - Burnt and bitter. I came to a Brazilian restaurant expecting quality meat and it wasn't up to par. Every bite into the chicken it tasted burnt. So I sent it back. Which I never do. Ever! The waiter comes back and tells me that is how they charbroil the meat. Ok I understand the method, but I'm pretty sure you don't mean for it to taste bitter right? Anyways I ended up choosing another entrée instead as a replacement.
Fresh chicken breast plate - Chicken is grilled and actually kind of juicy. Overall good, but not memorable or something I'd come back for. I'd say the same would go for the side of beans and rice. Although the Yucca flour added a tasty buttery taste when sprinkled on top. As for the plantains everyone raves about. Good! The best I've ever had? Not really.  But as a side they go great with any meal. =)

If I come back, I might be tempted to try something Italian on the menu,  just not  the meat. It doesn't seem to be their strength.

Parking sucks. You need to extra time to find street parking, or park a couple blocks and walk. You'll need it because the portions are humongous here!

Finally! a place to go to late at night besides tacos!

My friends and I were neaby after a falied night of clubbing and we were all starving. I realized we were not to far from here so i suggested we check this place out. I have been wanting to try this place for forever now.

Before coming here I had a preconcieved notion of how this place would be since it was open til like 4 am. I imagine a bunch of crazy drunks and just a loud restaurant/bar type atmosphere, but it was actually really different than I imagined. Upon entering, there were two bouncer like men who greeted us and opened the door for us. It was nice inside and I felt kind of out of place for being here at 2 am since it looked like a nice restaurant. It was pretty quiet and many people were dressed up having some late night dinner. I liked it though...a different change of atmosphere than the usualy 2 am stop at a hole in the wall taco place.

My friends ordered a few items to share. We got:
-Brazilian Cheese Breads: I am a carb lover so bread+cheese =amazing. This is a must order here! Ive had the cheese breads from Fogo de Chao before and I must say I like these a lot more. It was crispy and light tasting.
-Chicken Brochette: chicken wrapped in bacon served in a gorgonzola cream sauce with sliced bread. This was really really good. I felt pretty guilty eating this though because this could not be healthy at all, but it was really good. Bacon=amazing.
-French fries: very crispy standard fries. Pretty good.
-Chicken lasagna: Very good. i like that they put a good amount of spinach in it.
-Chicken stroganoff: chicken/onions/mushrooms in a creamy and flavorful sauce with rice and plantains. The sauce was good...it reminded my friends and I of thousand island dressing just with added cream and butter...I loved the plantains. so good!

Their menu is pretty extensive here so it makes it hard to choose from so I am glad my friends and I shared and got different items. I will definitely go here again. Food and service was all very good!

I have been going to Bossa Nova for about 5-6 years now and it's in my top three favorite restaurants. Everything I've tired here is quite tasty. I absolutely love their plantains (cooked EXTRA EXTRA crispy), their veggie sandwich, their salmon dish, the bruschetta and Mexican shrimp are to die for!!! The gorgonzola cheese fries are amazing too! Everything is good, trust me!! Just to give you an idea of how much I love this place, I drive 100 miles to Bossa Nova..... allllll the was from San Diego, yes, I said San Diego. That's true love! :-)

The portions are fairly decent size, and the prices are pretty inexpensive considering the portion size and quality of food!! Every time I've been there, the customer service has been wonderful!! This place is a must try!! You won't regret trying this place, promise!!

Solid, hearty, delicious fare. Broad range of cafe/restaurant style sandwiches, salads, pizzas and Brazilian style entrees.

Wait staff are nice and generally enthusiastic. Casual enough a location for a date night dinner or catch up with the boys.

Portion sizes are definitely above average! Good drinks list too.

My first time I went to Bossa Nova, I went for a late brunch with my best friends from college who moved out to Hollywood. I am super jealous that these girls live so close to this place (we walked from their apartment) because Bossa Nova is probably one of the more delicious places I've had in Hollywood.

I was a bit overwhelmed looking at the menu because there are so many choices that you can make, and since I don't get to make my way out to Bossa Nova very often, I definitely wanted to try EVERYTHING on their menu because everything sounded so delicious.

They have everything from appetizers, pizza, salads, sandwiches, pasta, a la carte, chicken, seafood, and steak. We decided to get a pizza with two different kinds and got 'em half & half, a seafood dish, and the Dutch fries with the most delicious Gorgonzola sauce (simply orgasmic, I'd go back just for this).

I hear that this place is most famous for late night because they're open so late and they even deliver super late, so apparently it's super crowded at night with drunk partiers leaving the Hollywood clubs, but the food is so great that I would gladly come here during the day (although having Bossa Nova as drunk food sounds like the tits).

Out of cheese puffs b 7pm on a Sunday night?! WHHAAATT!  -1 for that alone.

Great atmosphere, especially for small group dinners and good service.  Food was good but nothing too impressive.

Chicken Brochette - yummy cream sauce and bacon, but the chicken pieces tucked inside weren't very flavorful and had a pasty texture

Fried Yucca - very good, not greasy at all and went well with the cream sauce from our Chicken Brochette

Mama's Salad  - Spring Mixed Greens, smashed Cod Fish Croquete, caramelized Pears and Walnuts with Honey Mustard dressing.  Favorite dish of the night. Loved every part of it!  The croquetes tasted fresh and full of flaky fish, no fillers.  Caramelized pears were awesome, not as sweet as they sound.

    Pink Pescatore - meh. Bland.

Shrimp Stroganoff - perfectly cooked shrimp.  Mash was alright... but the sauce made up for it. Definitely thought the fries were much better than the plantains.

Coulotte Steak "Picanha" - waiter said it's one of their most popular items.  I didn't have the meat impressive at all.  Nowhere as tender as I would have liked.. rice was good =)

Caramel cheesecake and plan were good.  Just like most the dishes, just good.  But at the price, no complaints.  6 entrees + 2 apps + 2 desserts + tax + tip = $25/pp for 6 of us.

Usually I get the traditional grilled chicken breast, and it is always delicious.
The rice is SO Yummy, I probably could enjoy a meal of just their rice! The chicken is well seasoned and made well, and their brazilian salsa is also very yummy.

I don't really like their beans, but I don't really like beans in general, as they are too starchy for my taste, and somewhat sweet. I also don't really like fried plantains, but my friend thinks they are delicious!

Yucca flour has the consistency of sand, but it is much more delicious. Its crazy addicting, but definitely an acquired taste.

For the generous portions given, I think the plates are adequately priced.

Dropped in a few days ago.
Food can be better, but is overall really good. Excuse me for my Portuguese/Italian, I will definitely misspell it, but I had a casual lunch with my wife and a friend and took focaccia which was delish, the carbonara and the garlic chicken with some Brazilian salsa and beans. Beans taste exactly like the canned Bush beans which is kind of a letdown. Salsa i also disliked, while the carbonara and the chicken were delicious.
The venue is more than respectable, very neat and cool. Service can be slow and uninterested.

Looking for some yummy Brazilian cuisine?  Hay Dios mio = OMG!- then this is the place!
So a friend and I accidently parked near Bossa hoping to walk a short distance to get to another restaurant nearby...but as we were chatting it up we coincidentally happen to walk in front of this place.....
We walk in & the place is full with customers (must be a good sign I thought).
To my surprise, we got seated right away!
I couldn't wait to have exotic spices & flavors swirling in my mouth!
    :D
So I order some shrimp spicy dish...mmmmmmm
A bit pricey but oh so goooooooooooood!

    Enjoy- Bejos!

1 1/2 stars rounded down. My previous experiences were 5 star. What happened?

Got charbroiled shrimp with veggies, mashed. Last time my girl got this, I remember the veggies being good and the shrimp being fresh. This time, the veggies were okay, the shrimp was bleh. Mushy and bland - like the previously frozen stuff I get at Ralphs. What a ripoff. Kind of a face-slap. She got a beef/steak dish with risotto. Beef was good, nicely cooked. Risotto was a fail. Instead of al dente, it was mushy with hard bits mixed in here and there. The kibe that is so popular that it's always sold out was a major meh - wouldn't order it again.

We joke about how I always get the same thing from here (cajun blackened chicken.) Joke's on me! I was hesitant to order anything else off the menu - now I hesitate to order anything from here ever again.

Luckily I'm staying a block away from BN because when I need a quick, satisfying, well-priced burger at 2 AM, I can just shuffle up the street.  That's the hour when you can't be sure if the trashy chicks dressed like hookers are coming out of the clubs or taking a break from the strip joint across the street.

Awesome - I get to be the 1000th review for Bossa Nova! I had been wanting to come here for quite some time now and try Brazilian food, so when the opportunity arose for me to choose a restaurant for my birthday dinner, my mind immediately jumped to Bossa Nova. Friends had been telling me how delicious the food is so I had to try it for myself.

We had reservations for a party of 8 and unfortunately, Bossa Nova does not take reservations over the phone. I had called earlier in the day to ask how it worked and basically, you're supposed to reserve tables at the restaurant. The host over the phone explained that one person can reserve a table while the rest of the party arrives later... hm. I don't like that idea. We all just decided to arrive around 8:30. It ended up being about a 45 minute wait. Parking is absolutely awful. There's a valet company next door that isn't affiliated with Bossa Nova and there are very few metered spots. The best bet is to park in the structure quite a few blocks away... that stunk for us!

The restaurant itself is rather small. There is an inside part of the restaurant that has a limited number of tables but these tables could not sit more than 4. The outside patio is actually very pretty - they have lights strewn about and it's very intimate, despite being outside. After waiting, we were finally seated!

The menu is very extensive - they have appetizers, LOTS of salad options, sandwiches, a variety of different pastas, chicken dishes, steak dishes, seafood and a la carte items (hot off the grill). Everyone chose something different, which was nice because we got to sample each others' foods.

I opted for the Pink Seafood Risotto. I love risotto and seafood so this was a must-try. The dish had their homemade pink sauce topped over their risotto with sauteed shrimp. It was was very simple and the dish itself was huge! I noticed that all of their dishes were very generous (and by very generous, I mean you probably wouldn't be able to finish it unless you've fasted for a whole day). The downside of this particular dish that I chose was that it was quite salty.. I kept having to take sips of my sangria (delicious, by the way! Very fruity.) in order to wash away the saltiness! Boo. But they gave plenty of jumbo-sized shrimp and the risotto was cooked al dente so I was happy about that.

I tried the Arabiatta Hot pasta and it was so yummy. It had sliced bacon, onions, parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, and lots of hot pepper inside of a spicy tomato sauce. You get your choice of either penne or spaghetti pasta. I loved this dish even thought I'm not a huge fan of spicy. I kept eating off of my boyfriend's plate to wash out the saltiness of my own platter.

I also tried Rafael's pasta which had chopped salami, bacon, fontina cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh garlic and red onions inside of a spicy white cream sauce. You get to choose between penne or fettuccine pasta. Delicious! The creaminess of the sauce and spicy flavor gave it a great kick.

Another dish I tried was the Veggie Pasta. It was simple penne with a sweet and savory marinara sauce with seasoned vegetables. You get to choose between penne or fettuccine pasta. Simply and very tasty. They also ordered a side of the Deluxe Dutch fries. These fries were hot, crispy, and topped with gorgonzola sauce. Mmm....The gorgonzola was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Lastly, I tried my friends' steak and chicken plates. Unfortunately I forget the names of their dishes but they were delicious, too!

The bill ended up being about $130 with some change for 8 people. Not too bad for the quality and portion of the food. I left a very happy and full birthday girl and I couldn't have been happier with my amazing group of friends.

Cool place with a good menu, but the delivery pizza left me hanging! Fortunately, there was also a pasta dish in the mix as well as a salad. Either way, although my stomach enjoyed the food, my wallet certainly didn't enjoy being gouged. Wish the prices were more fair, but I do like the fact that they deliver @ 1AM.

I was very excited to come to this place, since i don't have brazilian food often.
We were seated within 15 minutes of waiting, in the outdoor patio area, right under the blazing heating lamp. I mean, thank heavens it was on because it was very cold that evening, but I was beginning to feel like I was in a dry sauna! Our poor hairs on our heads were baking lol.
Service was very good, and the waiter and food runners/bus boys were very prompt with clearing empty dishes and giving us new utensils, refilling water cups.

We ordered the mozzarella bruschetta for an appetizer, and it was very good. My only complaint is that the balsamic vinegrette was just a tad too overpowering for me, BUT the mozzarella was very nice.
I ordered the fresh boneless chicken breast on fire. It looked absolutely tantalizing when it was placed in front of me. However, I felt that the chicken was overcooked and a bit tough.
The plantains were to die for. The plate also comes with rice, yucca flour, and beans. I've never had yucca flour before, and was a bit confused about it's texture and taste. The black beans were a bit bland.
My dinner companions ordered the Arrabiata Pasta, and the Camarao a Brasiliera (Charbroiled Shrimp). I could tell they really enjoyed their dishes.

Overall, a lot of pros and cons about this place. I would probably go back there again and try some other items on their menu.

Great restaurant!  One of my favorites in the upscale side of Hollywood.  Prices are moderate, but the food is amazing!  I actually went there twice on my last trip, sat at the same table and even had the same server.  He remembered our drink orders too!  Amazing!

The Beef Stroganoff with friend plantans are to die for!  Get them!!  The lasagna is absolutely fantastic!  Very generous portions too -- I took home at least half each time for left overs.

Lots of celebrities pop in here too.  We saw two on each of our visits.

Great place to hangout over a casual dinner. The food itself is good, but not great. Everything I've had from here hasn't disappointed. Since I've only been here twice, I do need to come back and sample some more menu items. Overall, Bossa Nova has a pretty good feel about it. I used to live near here and would always see people waiting outside especially as the night progressed. I would recommend coming earlier into the night, but if you come later do realize you may be waiting for a while. Perhaps it makes the food taste even better... I have heard this place named in an old school top 40 song, too ;)

I love Brazilian food. I mean, what's not to like? Cheese-infused bread, check! Plantains, check! Steak, check check check! So when I found out about Bossa Nova, I was immediately drawn to it. I couldn't believe I'd gone numerous trips to LA without hitting up this joint!

Anyway, hit up this joint, I did. We came right as happy hour was coming to an end so we ordered some of that divine pao de quejo. A hot sec later arrived our hot straight-from-the-oven cheesy bread. Actually I don't know that it really WAS straight from the oven but it sure tasted like it. Fluffy and light with just a hint of cheese. YUM.

Then came our food. I ordered the picanha steak, which came with rice, black beans, and plantains. The steak, although well-seasoned, was a bit tough to eat. The plantains, as they always are, were amazing. I could've definitely done with more of that goodness! My friend ordered the chicken stroganoff which looked nothing like any stroganoff either of us had ever seen before. The sauce bore a suspicious resemblance to the In-N-Out "spread" and honestly kind of tasted like it. To be fair, we were at a Brazilian restaurant and it probably wasn't the best place to order Italian food. We were both pretty stuffed so we skipped dessert (ah, I know -- blasphemy!!).

All in all, an a-ok experience -- not one that goes down in the books as the best or the worst Brazilian food I've ever had. But it would most likely go down as "not likely to be repeated any time soon."

I'm going to give this place 4 stars, but I have to say that it only just made my expectations.

So many locals have told me about this place and how it's their favorite, so I had to try for myself.

Complimentary Bread: This bread is addicting. It comes out warm, fluffy and light and best eaten with a mixture of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and black pepper you can find on the table and make on your own.

Tiriri's Pasta: I was in the mood for sun-dried tomatoes so I chose this dish. It came with fresh herbs, onions, and chicken in a white wine cream sauce. I chose fettuccine as the noodles, added capers and requested that they cook it with lemon juice to add flavor.

The dish was a combination of savory, sweet, tastefully bitter, rich, etc. Every bite was different and I only wish that there wasn't so much sauce so that I could finish my plate without getting overwhelmed by it.

Cajun Chicken Breast Sandwich: The pesto on this sandwich was good I just wish the chicken was more flavorful. I didn't get enough of the cajun flavor I expected. I thought since the pasta was well thought out, the sandwiches would be the same.

Things I want to try: Deluxe Dutch Fries, Fried Yucca, Fried Plantains, Havana Sandwich, Carbonara, Chicken Parmegiana, and their Skirt Steak.

Recommendations: If you get pasta, ask for a light or easy sauce. Add your own add ons!

I have eaten at Bossa Nova for over 15 years. I am addicted to there Traditional Chicken platter with plantains. The black beans and rice are awesome. The chicken flavoring is like no other. Bossa Salad is great if your craving a salad, just be careful if your going on or on a date, a lot of onions. Sangria are both delicious , white and red.
Great Flan as well. A must try!!

A few coworkers and I stopped in this evening for drinks.  The menu was so tempting that we just had to order a bit of food as well.  The place is tiny and awkward, the patio area is more like a narrow hallway, a dangerous dimlit one at that.  We actually had to step over people and this awkward planter to get to our table.  I honestly don't mind it, it just makes the place feel more Hollywood to me, but I'm not sure just how safe it actually is to have people doing that.

The lady that greeted us seemed to be having a hectic evening, she wasn't really nice or rude, but our waiter and the busser guy were just awesome.

We each had a few beers and some sangria, all of which were great.  The waiter suggested one of the beers and the sangria, so we appreciate him and his great taste.  One coworker had strogganof, he had it often as a child and thought the idea of Brazilian vs German seemed interesting, he said that it was delicious.  I ordered the appetizer Double Dutch Fries or something of the sort.  It was a basket of fries that you could probably find at any fast food place covered in gorgonzola, they were delicious...nothing fancy, but bleu cheese makes everything amazing to me, yum.

I can't wait to come back for an actual meal...had I realized that my boss was paying I may have ordered more than a basket of fries :p

Where else can you find a healthy alternative after a night of drinking in Hollywood? This place is legit. I had the sea bass and it was spectacular! Crunchy seared on the outside, super soft and moist on the inside. Yummy plantains, beans were phenomenal! No more jack's

The bad thing is there are a lot of asshole drunk pieces of crap here at 3am.

I've been itching to give something a 5-star review for a while now and I think this honor would deservedly be bestowed upon Bossa Nova. It's on Sunset, it has indoor and outdoor seating, right when you walk in, the host stand looks like it's situated in a pizza parlor (so much pizza!).

First off is the food. This is no meat-on-sword fest but it offers a lot of delicious, Brazilian-inspired cuisine and it's all fresh and delicious. I tried the kibe appetizer which is authentically Brazillian in that, as I was told the last time I was in Rio, there is a large Lebanese population. Walking into my first corner juice bar and seeing all the softball-sized baked kibe made me feel like I was at my Teta's. Anyway, what they serve at Bossa Nova is a little different: smaller and... fried? It was way too much for two people to eat but would be a great mezza-style appetizer for a large group.

I've only tried chicken dishes at Bossa Nova so far but beans, rice, fries and plantains are all good accompaniment for whatever juicy (and in my case, blackened) dish they put in front of you. Each time I've tried to extend my stomach and somewhat regretted getting an appetizer. The last time I went I made sure to disregard the extensive beer list to save room for more noms.

Another highlight is the Banana Pizza. The first time I ate at Bossa we had it as an appetizer. Holy crap is that thing sweet and delicious. I would probably recommend trying this as a dessert, unless you're the kind of person who likes his sweet stuff first so you always know there'll be room for it.

The service is friendly, thorough and, as far as I'm concerned, takes modifications and questions well...

My only complaint would be the wet-floored bathroom on a Saturday night. It was a little gross, but not enough to ruin this fiver.

Their flan is amazing, the creamiest with so much delicious caramel that I wanted to eat it off the plate. I love that they are open late.  The seating is very close as in table to table close. But the food makes up for it since the portions are good.

I wish I could rate this place lower than zero stars, but I guess I'm stuck with 1 star.  This was my first time going, and I will never go there again.  I cannot say enough about how horrible the customer service is.  Even if the food is good, it's not worth dealing with their bullcrap.

I made the mistake of deciding to give this place a try, when I wanted some take-out.  I placed what any reasonable person would consider a simple order (1 sandwich, no mayo), and was told it would be about 15 minutes.   35 minutes later, they finally brought me my order, and I was so ready to get out of there after the abnormally long wait, I just said thanks, and left.

After getting home, I discovered that, evidently, my simple order must not have been so simple.  My "no mayo" sandwich was SWIMMING in the stuff; to add insult to injury, the fries that came with it were ice cold.  I  loathe mayonnaise, so the sandwich was, essentially, inedible.

I called the restaurant to let them know what happened, and they wouldn't even accept responsibility or try to make things right.  After they completely effed up a basic order, they insisted I bring the food back to their restaurant, before they would credit me.  Uhhhm.  Huh?  We're talking about $12, here-- which, while entirely too much to pay for a sandwich to begin with, should not be enough for them to inconvenience me so outrageously when they're the ones who screwed up.  This place delivers, and they could have at least offered to have a replacement order delivered to me.  Clearly, they don't give a crap about customer satisfaction.

I was so pissed off that I actually did throw their disgusting food back in the bag, and drove all the way back there just so they could throw it away for me.  And I sure as [expletive] got my money refunded, too.

    Was this review …?

I've been to this location numerous times and just hadn't had a chance to write a review, so here it is....

I come here for the Pao de Quiejo (cheese balls) !!!!! Of course among other things. I enjoy their Picanha, medium with plantains and yucca flour, for $2.00 I think, you can swap the rice for grilled veggies, for those carb sensitive consumers. Coating the steak with the yucca flour adds an extra texture to the meat that seals the juices in as you bite into it. The plantains, it just balances the meal with a slight sweetness. The servings are quite ample, so sharing a plate is not a bad idea, especially if you devour the cheese balls by the dozen. I've also had the fresh boneless chicken breast on fire. The char on the skin I like, with a squeeze of lemon, it is just fresh tasting, like an afternoon lunch using the barbie with an iced tea in hand.

The service is good, at the right time of day. Lunch time around 11-1130, is awesome, but closer to dinner around 530-600 and on weekends, the wait is longer for a table and the service is hard to come by. The place itself is not big, so when it gets busy, it gets busy. But the servers are pleasant. Parking is a bitch though....Street and metered parking. So bring coins and bring your patience.

TIP: if you love the Pao de Quiejo, order your dozen or two ASAP! You'd think, since this is their best seller they'd make more of it, but they always run out! Really???? And they make their dough in their kitchen!!!! Whatever. So the moment I sit on my table, I order my cheese bread to eat and order my 2 dozen to go.
