Went today for lunch.  It looked kinda sketchy from outside and the air wasn't on inside so it was HOT.

Sat down had a GREAT glass of iced tea, a sliced BBQ Beef and a pulled pork sandwich.  The meat had a little fat on it but in all it was VERY VERY good BBQ.  Waitress was the bartender and she was good and nice!

    All good!

Good BBQ. They do have Michigan Micro brewed beers. At one time they where a brewery but not anymore sadly.

They Mac N' Cheese is good and spicy, I recommend the beef brisket, 3 piggy platter or the smokes sausage.

Bo's Smokehouse...fortunately, it's now non-smoking though the high ceilings definitely contribute to the above-average ventilation in this establishment.

You walk in and find plenty of TVs, wooden floors and beer paraphernalia strewn about the walls.  In short, this is a sports bar (albeit with a decent selection of micro-brews) so adjust your expectations accordingly.

The owner has always been friendly and loves to tell you about the clam chowder and how only a drop or two of hot sauce is needed but if your timing is bad (such as walking in behind a large party) you could be in for a bit of a wait.

Burgers are good (given the price point) and their seasoned fries are particularly tasty...but.....WOW, this place loves the salt.  In fact, this place could easily be renamed "Morton's" due to the high sodium content in almost every dish.  Not recommended for high blood pressure sufferers (I'm serious about this, too) or people who need to monitor their sodium intake.

    Actual review is 2.5 stars.

I went here before a concert at the Crofoot to just get beers. The beer list is OK, without anything too adventurous. What is on the menu isn't what is actually on tap, they have that on a blackboard. The Bo brews themselves are surprisingly palatable (sorry, Bo, I had really low standards considering the location). They had a barely wine (a barely wine! who makes those anymore, seriously?), blonde, wheat, IPA, and I believe that was it for their home brews. The blonde was a blonde, but the barley wine was certainly special.

The pizza looked like Domino's, the chicken wings came out of the freezer bag pre-made, and really anything else you saw probably came from a Cisco food catalog. We had to practically throw up flares to get our waiter's attention for things like a glass of water or another beer.

When the beer glass is empty, your butt better be coming back asking me what I want next!

A group of friends and I ventured to Bo's Smokehouse before a show at the Crofoot on a Wednesday night somewhere around the 7:00pm hour. The place was totally dead except for two guys sitting at the bar having beers, so we figured awesome! Atleast there won't be a wait! We were very, very, VERY mistaken.

While our waitress was friendly, she was in fact the bearer of bad news informing us that they were out of half of the items offered on the menu ( including any and all pulled pork, the fish and chips and the hot wings.) As most of us were pretty excited about the pulled pork in one form or another, we had to re-examine the menu to find suitable alternatives. After ordering, we waited 40 minutes for our food to come out-- and most of us had ordered relatively simple items (reubens [extremely salty, in my opinon], chicken sandwiches, etc) Totally unacceptable considering that there was no one else in the joint. About halfway through the 40 minute wait, the waitress informed us that our wait was that lengthy because a carryout order had come in just as we ordered and that basically, the carryout order had taken over the manpower. What? I'm sorry, but that's just terrible.

All in all, a not-so-great experience. Would I go back? Not even if it were the only thing open and I were absolutely famished. I'd rather just wait to eat until I got home.

This place is super depressing.  As an out of towner who sees the words "Brewery" and "Bistro" I got a little excited.  We came here on a Saturday night hoping to have a fun time and good beer.  The only thing they brew here is "Vintage" ale, which is codeword for "old nasty swill."  The beer list was half unavailable, there was virtually no one there, and the service included one bartender - who was trying to make the best of a dead night.  I saw the food being served, and ten minutes later I saw the plate collected with only a bite eaten.  Did not look savory or bisto-like.  I would not recommend this place for anything more than a pit stop and one beer - get a bottle.

Just went here this afternoon for the first time.  Met the BF for lunch.  I took a walk through Downtown Pontiac about a month ago (as I like doing recon expeditions when I have nothing better to do) and had made a mental note to put this place on my visit list.  I found the area to have potential in general, but is definitely one that is on life support and will remain such for a LONG while it seems.  Reading the prior reviews on this place before writing my own, Bo's sounds like one of those places that would be a great candidate for a Kitchen Nightmares episode.  It had some plusses...the inside/layout was pretty decent and the ladies bathroom was modern and clean.  The lunch crowd was moderate.  We were attended to pretty quickly and ordered 2 Cokes along with a Mackinac salad and a Ceaser salad.  The food was pretty mediocre, the menu was not that exciting or extensive overall.  I didn't ask the BF about the state of his salad (he suggested the place and was going to pay so I kept my opinions to myself), but my Mackinac salad was about 85% fresh and the chicken was a slight bit overcooked.  There was a singular female bartender/server and a male busser in attendance.  Our Cokes were about gone when the bartender chick actually returned to provide another refill.  By that time we were ready to go.  The ONLY reason I would return in the near future is to get my drink on and possibly watch a game with the BF because the atmosphere is decent enough (and by that I mean decor/layout versus actual crowd and ambience), but certainly NOT because of the food or service.  I never hear/see this place promoting itself or their events and I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for something new and happening despite their own lauding description here on Yelp.  It seems that they do not even have a WEBSITE.  "...great Food, Fun, and Friends" my ass and I wouldn't try their "meets" right now if you paid me.  They should definitely revamp, re-energize and promote.  Or maybe they have given up and succumbed to life support status themselves.  These type of experiences make me wonder how they keep the lights on and rent paid.  Perhaps they SHOULD give Gordon a call.

I went here on a Friday night for dinner and drinks before hitting the town. It was pretty empty. Especially for a Friday night with live entertainment. The food was just ok. Nothing special. The BBQ sauce tasted store bought. The number one problem I had with this place was the service! It was AWEFUL! We sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone came over to take a drink order. When they brought the drinks back they forgot one. There was only 3 of us and she waited another 20 minutes to get hers. We had to ask for menu's which seemed like a chore for the waitress. We eventually gave our order to a bus boy. The food arrived promptly thanks to the same young man. We were never checked on to see if we needed anything after the meal was served and had to go to the bar to get a refill on drinks. The band that played was good. They do Rockabilly Fridays with different bands every week. Other than the that, there is no reason for me to ever go back there.
