Today I had an hour or so to spend relaxing before a meeting I had to attend. I had heard about Bo's. I had read about Bo's, so I felt like now was a good time to visit. As a neophyte cigar smoker, I was a bit intimidated by the thought of just popping in, but believe me, once I met Bo, my mind was set at ease.
Bo introduced me to the San Lutano Cubano. Wow! I enjoyed sitting in the lounge, reading the biography, "Bonhoeffer", pausing a bit to watch the big screen TV and just plain enjoying myself.
The San Lutano was so good I had to get another one to go.
Bo and a friend were so kind and open that I know this will not be my last visit. Once a month I have an afternoon free, and I am pretty sure I know where I will spend it!
    I highly recommend a visit to Bo's!

I have read a few of the reviews. I disagree with two of them. Case in point, Tim D and techknow you couldn't be more wrong. I have been a member of this establishment since the day it opened. I was a young cat with now knowledge of cigars and I was received with welcoming arms.  Bo took the time to explain all the different types and flavors and all the complexities involved in becoming acquainted with a cigar. He took his time even though he had a full house.  I never once felt like an outcast or uncomfortable. He is a very knowledgeable and kind man.  Dissertation  aside, I have enjoy the many people I have met here. You can always count on good conversation and many laughs when you hang out at Bo's. I implore you both to give it another try or perhaps it could have been you and the way that you may have carried yourself, who knows. For me this is the place I go to relax and watch some sports after a hard days work I truly enjoy my time here!

I went here after work one day to pick up a Carlos Toreno cigar. They had what I was looking for (only place I can find that still carries them). However after I bought the cigar I felt rushed out of the shop. They had a nice looking lounge, but I was not offered to sit and smoke. I live in an apartment in a very quiet neighborhood where smoking a cigar would bother many people and part of what I like about cigars is sitting in a nice lounge and meeting interesting people. I may give this place one more shot someday as they have my hard to find sticks, but its tough to get over that unwelcoming vibe I had on my first visit.

As an occasional cigar smoker it is easy to become overwhelmed when you go to some of the other local lounges. It's not uncommon to run into aficionados who can be pretentious and make your time at their shop miserable. Bo's cigar is not that kind of atmosphere. I can walk into the humidor and ask all types of "stupid" questions and not be treated like an idiot.

The lounge is very friendly. When you walk in you can tell for the most part that the guys sitting in the lounge are regulars. However, even when it's your first time, they make you feel welcome. If you're looking for some conversation with your cigar you can talk to everyone in there and make new friends. There are occasions I go in there though and just want a quiet cigar and listen to my headphones....thats OK too.

The lounge is comfortable with TVs lining both walls with a full view around the lounge.....you gotta pee? That's OK too because there's a TV in the head also.

Bo himself makes this shop. He is so friendly and knows that the heart of his business is "customer" service. But, you never feel like a customer, he makes you feel like family or an old friend every time.

The prices are reasonable and Bo can school you on any cigar on display. The shop has a decent selection of cigars and the cigars are mainly all premiums. If you're looking for a cheap badly made cigar you should bring your own. If you bring a lady friend that just wants a flavored girly cigar then you should probably stop by another shop on your way over too. This is a classy humidor with a premium selection, but without the snobbishness.

Bo's is THE cigar lounge in the area and worth a visit.

I Really enjoyed coming here. Always before buying cigars had been stressful (but worth it to find a good cigar) but here I just felt comfortable. I didn't spend any time in the lounge but I plan to. I enjoyed Bo's suggestions a lot and plan to make trips here regularly

I had the urge one day to go have a cigar and watch a football game.  Jumped on Yelp! and found Bo's Cigar Lounge.  This place was fantastic.  Bo greeted me when I walked in the door and was nothing but helpful in showing me the humidor and explaining the different cigars.  I picked one and plopped myself in one of the gigantic leather chairs and enjoyed the evening.

Everyone there is super friendly and there is definitely a Cheer's feel to the group.

I'll be visiting there whenever I'm in town.

Bo's is a great place to catch the game, spark up conversations and have a good smoke.  I've been to the place 20 times or so and Bo himself is has been there 18 of them.  He is a great guy and takes pride in his shop and in his customers comfort.  Coke and Coffee are available for free with an unwritten house donation rule of 1.00.

This place is for smokers so if your looking for a trendy or hipster spot then this is NOT for you.  If you want to chill and have a smoke or pick up cigars for the road or as a gift (BIG HINT WIVES) look no further.

    Pros:
    nice cigar lounge
nice selection of high end cigars
    friendly staff

    Cons:
    small cigar humidor
no variety of cigar accessories IE. cutters, lighters, ashtrays, etc.
lowest price stick runs you about $7

I'll go there to buy cigars for special occasions or if i could afford high end cigars  but not a good shop to buy $5 or lower cigars

I first found the Bo's Torrance location one day after an Optometry appointment. I walked out on my way to have a brew at Red Car Brewery and saw Bo's Cigar Lounge. I had visited this location a few times which includes sports on their Big screen TV's. I had signed up for Bo's newsletter which tells you of events.

Last week at the long beach location, I got to meet the CAO President and try their latest releases. This past weekend they had an Oliva event and showed the UFC #106 pay per view fight sitting among other cigar smokers and making friends. The lounge has four large TV's comfortable leather chairs, ashtray stands, football memorabilia and a small refrigerator to purchase a water or soda. Also, Bo's has an upstairs patio to enjoy your cigar and to hold special events, as well as, your special event. Bo's carries a good assortment of fine cigars in the walk-in humidor. They carry accessories like lighters, cutters, humidors, etc. Stop by and talk to Bo if you need a special cigar for that upcoming golf game, holiday or for a gift.

Im about to head to Vegas and Miami  so whats missing.....my cigar!

Bo's is the best cigar spot in LA County.

If I ever said different that was before I've been here.  Not only is the service super good and friendly, but he has a cool lounge with sports on the screen.  I was educated on each Cigar I remotely showed interest in.  Lots of options at a reasonable price.  I love that at this place  you can hang out, smoke, and enjoy life.

Thats the God's Honest Truth! This place is the "go to" spot for relaxation with your favorite stogie! Bring in a bottle of bourbon, take a seat and enjoy the friendly atmosphere! He's even got a kick ass patio upstairs if youre with people who dont like smoked filled rooms.

Bo puts on periodic BBQs and Lobster Dinners so sign up for the email newsletter to be "in the know".

This is one of the premiere cigar lounges in the area. When you walk in there is the register and beautiful walk-in humidor with a wide array of cigars for you to purchase. Once you find your cigar you have the option to sit in the lounge and smoke.

The lounge is beautiful, it's like you've walked into an old coaches personal entertainment room. The lights are dim and the entire areas is a beautiful wood grain decorated with sport memorabilia. There are five flat screen televisions on the wall, and a large projection screen in the center of the main wall. All the seats are leather featuring drink stands and ashtrays. The room is well ventilated by a group of fans. You're allowed to bring food or drinks at your leisure, but there are also cold drinks available for a $1 donation. There is a coffee machine too, but I am not sure on the donation for that.

This is a great place to watch major sporting events and pay-per-view events. I stumbled in this shop once during a UFC pay-per-view event and there was a large table of catered sandwiches free of charge. The owner is a great guy that is full of life and energy (always with a cigar in his mouth too). He is a kind guy that looks after your every need. Once he gave me a glass of scotch free of charge.

I take every opportunity I get to take my friends there. If you don't smoke cigars, there's a reason to start and it's Bo's.

Bo's Cigars is a great Man Cave. The best part is that you can walk in and not know anyone. And the regulars well make you feel right at home. Even if Bo is not around Ray, Jeff (Jeef there is a story there), Brent and Bruce are the best, think Norm, Cliff, Frasier & Woody from Cheers. They make you feel at home. When you go back a 2nd time they even know your name, what cigar you smoked the last time you visited  and if you ask will lead you to something new to try. Lounge wise it's cool as well. Nice confy chairs, big screen TVs on every wall even the bathroom, FREE WI-FI, and small tables if you need them. I don't think there can be a better place for you to get away. A++++ Thank you Bo!!

Bo knows cigars & I know Bo. Thats the tag line you see on his tee-shirts. And after a few minutes in the lounge you do feel at home with Bo and the guys. This is a real man-cave though. It's not for the weak or faint of heart. However if you just want to read and enjoy your cigar you can do that too. Best part is you never know who you are going to see at Bo's. Along with a great selection of cigars he gets a grade of A+++. Enjoy Bo's cigars...be seen with Bo.

Where do I start. Bo, who is the owner is as good as they come. Top Notch. The guy takes care of your every need which is to just sit down relax and have a cigar. He's even told people that if they have there own cigar to bring it and just hang out. He'll help you make a selection of what your after and host numerous party's sponsered by cigar company's. He even host field trips to various locations Honduras, Miami, etc. The guy is great and is living his dream and loving it. Why do I talk about him instead of the lounge. Because he is the lounge. I can't tell you how many cigar lounges are just dead, no life inside them. If your from out of town it is worth it to come check it out and get on the mailer. Bo is a great dude believe me it's worth it.

There really is no such thing as "community" when it comes to the cigar community. Some congregate in the what few public areas are left, but in Southern California it's a rare thing. Bo is out to turn this notion of community on its end. Bo's Cigars is a gathering place first, and a retail store second. From Bo you'll get no hard sell; only a caring owner looking to guide the uninitiated or cigar novice through his shop. The selection is superb, and the prices better than other shops in the southland.

75% of Bo's Cigar Lounge is just that - a lounge. I have not met as friendly a clientele since I last bought drinks for the house at my local bar. Here you'll meet all types: Businessmen, retirees, and those looking to escape the pressures of their own life for just a little bit. TV monitors are always tuned in to the local basketball/baseball/football game. I walked in not knowing a soul and left having made 6 new friends.

Now that the Long Beach city council has voted to exempt cigar lounges from the city's ever-tightening grip on all things health related, Bo's remains a beacon to those looking for great service, a relaxing atmosphere, making a few new acquaintances, and enjoying a cigar.

This is a big, beautiful shop with a great selection of cigars. The crowd is friendly, and Bo, himself, was there to greet up ad offer help with our selections.  The cigars are a bit pricey, but it's worth the extra cost for the atmosphere and ambiance. Coffee and sodas are served with a suggested contribution of $1, which is also pleasant. Large flat screens all around. It's a great place to chill!
