I'm not a buffet kinda girl, unless we are talking about Warren. The man is a genius!
This is really the only buffet I will eat at and it's really worth it.

I have now been to every sitting, weekday breakfast, weekday lunch, weekday and weekend dinner and sunday brunch. Lunch is still my absolute favorite, with brunch following a close second.

Lunch has the tiny desserts and lots of choices of both lunch-y and dinner-y entrees. My favorite is when it's taco day ( generally a tuesday or wednesday). It's like taco day in grade school, but the ante is upped. Pulled seasoned chicken, warm tortillas, fresh toppings...you get the idea.

I was a little disappointed today at brunch. This was the first time we had stopped in for brunch and the tiny desserts were not part of the offerings. They have all the cookies, macaroons and gelatto is available. Where the desserts are is an omelette station, but they could make one an omelette station and the other desserts? I wasn't too crushed.

What I loved at brunch was that they offered the mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes with marshmallows ala thanksgiving. Your like why is she raving about mashed potatoes. They are easily the best. Seriously. The sweet potatoes are a leetle too sweet, but they are nice to sample on a cold april morning.

I was really impressed with the grilled steaks. They were cooked too medium perfection. I'm also a fan of the chicken noodle soup, I think I have waxed poetic about it prior, but it's good. Chunks of carrots, beautiful pieces of white chicken and a broth that's not too salty. There is a lox bar for making a gorgeous bagel, complete from capers to whitefish.

I also love that they offer several kinds of veggies. I'm a big fan of the broccoli, steamed with garlic and sun dried tomatoes. Its perfectly al dente and I could seriously eat a plate of it. The asparagus is a little too thick, but if you poke about you might find some skinny pieces.

We also had a great waitress who didn't flinch when I ordered two waters, two hot teas, a cranberry juice and a coke. She was sweet and great about clearing plates as well. We arrived at noon on a rainy sunday, we had a to wait a few minutes, but nothing crazy. I would definitely return for brunch, but would not make that the focus of the trip down.

Happened to wait outside for the lunch buffet here randomly one afternoon...good thing we did because as time got closer to the lunch the line grew to where we couldn't see the end. And we were first in line.

The buffet for lunch I think was only around $20 which I thought was more than reasonable especially at the borgata. However, I was not impressed...While there was food everywhere and I am not even the slightest picky I did try everything i possibly could and only fell in love with one thing...

General Tso's Chicken ...This was the best chicken I think I have ever had...I mean it was so friggin crispy and delicious! Unfortunately I filled up on the other crap lol and couldn't shove in as much as I wanted. I mean honestly if that chicken was guaranteed to be there next time i go I will pay the 20 dollars to have it lol.

Dessert...again nothing special, while everything looks amazing nothing was that flavorful or good to waste the calories on. bummer.

I don't care for buffets in general, despite the fact I love the all you can eat concept.

I find the Borgata Buffet to be very simple and ordinary, nothing special and over-priced.  I will go here and when I get comped and it doesn't cost me anything but your better off dining at any of the other resgtaurants at the Borgata.

Yummmmmmmmyyyy! I love buffets! I love good buffets and this is definitely one of them! We had to wait a bit for our brunch buffet but I think it was definitely worth it. So many selections that I can't just name all of them. But to name a few, the eggs benedict was delish, the pancakes were soft and fluffy and tasty, the bacon was scrumptious, and the fruits were definitely fresh.
On top of that, the desserts were the ones I loved. I love desserts in general but usually in buffets, the desserts aren't that great. So I was pleasantly surprised that the desserts here were delicious! Loved the puddings and the cakes and the gelatos. What else can I write? I'm sure they change the menu all the time so I can't talk about specific dishes.
So all in all, I know for sure that the food here is top notch when it comes to buffet food. Go here! You will like it =)

My girlfriend and I ate hear for brunch this past Sunday 2/26/12. They have everything you should expect at a casino buffet. Everything seemed fresh for the most part and the shrimp cocktail wasn't fishy. I enjoyed the sirloin steak matched up with spicy chorizo and peppers. The omelete station looked really good and seemed to flow pretty fast. They also had great fried chicken and really thin fresh dough pizza.
The cost was 26.75 per person and seemed fair as long as you were hungry. The staff seemed on point and the server greeted us asap with our drink selections. I am not a huge fan of buffets and there are better places to eat inside the Borgata. This would be a great place for large groups or very picker eaters. It was an above average buffet for Atlantic City and would eat there again for brunch, probally not dinner though I like the fine dining experience.

This buffet was good--but it wasn't the best I've been to. The wait was 1 hour long when the guy up front said it would only be 10 minutes.

The dinner price was around $80 with tax and tip for two. I was expecting it to be a whole lot larger but it wasn't. You can get your money's worth if you eat a lot of the prime rib and seafood. We had about 4 plates of clams and mussels and 2 plates of prime rib.

Great selection for desserts--even sugar-free gelato. I usually try at least one of each and share. Free drinks (non-alcoholic). I would come back if I'm in town again. I want to try the brunch next time.

If you are a seafood buffet lover like me, this is not the place for you. I was hoping I could get more than just Shrimp Cocktail, Baked salmon, Pan seared Crab Cakes, Mussels and Clams.... like what the Fiesta Buffet has : KING CRAB LEGS!!! YUm,...but I am left craving for it. But then again, life goes on and so does my cravings...

They have a great selection of appetizers, like california rolls, some tuna rolls, salads...with four dressings...but hey, where is the olive oil and balsamic? but then again, my craving is like life....it goes on....

They had chow mei fun, fried rice which is yum! Sirloin steak which is dry.... a baked whole salmon which never really attracted my palette surprisingly, pork....chicken....wild rice...pasta..lobster and crab ravioli which i didnt try,
What I liked most is the Prime Rib. Its very tender, although they're a bit cheap on slicing it very thin, I had to go back twice. I also liked the caramelized pearl onions and the red wine sauce on it. So...on my plate, theres shrimp cocktail with mignonette sauce  and fresh horseradish....yum! calamata olives in olive oil....prime rib....and whatelse? some fried rice....and a california roll which is I wish they never offer!

Dessert: Im a dessert skipper remember? But then they have a great Dessert selection . They all looked nice...I tried the buttercream biscuit....love it...not too sweet!!!!

It's Friday night, 8pm prime time for dinner and the food was bad and at $30 each plate was not worth it.  All the sirloins well well done and look like leather. Seafood was pathetic. No crab legs. Only salmon and shrimp.  The server was nice but got the drinks messed up and I told her that the wine was not mine and her attitude came out.  I didn't order any more drinks from her for the fear of tampering with my drinks. The gelato dessert does not taste like gelato. The chicken and risotto was horrible. For $60 I can go to many other places and have better food.

Borgata's buffet doesn't have lobsters, but what it does have is really good. Decor is also better than the rest.

Regular breakfast spot on my visits with a short wait.  Yummy brunch for $17. Love the mini bagels with lox and capers. Service was excellent. The berries and fruit selection  were super sweet and perfect even during the winter months!  Scrambled eggs were a bit runny, which I didn't like. Nice staple in the morning spot to go to!

although this buffet isnt as good as the ones in vegas, its as good as it gets on the east coast! the lines are mega long on holidays and weekends, and the  prices are steep. but if you're a borgata red/black label they offer free buffet passes as long as you've been playing some table games (you can ask the pit boss to comp you more for food!). the voucher will show up in due time. the mussels, clams, shrimp cocktail, seafood in general are delicious, and the fried chicken too! im a sucker for seafood so i usually hang around that way. they also have some basic sushi, asian station, italian foods, and meat station. the desserts make you want to grab them all although you probably wont even be able to fit any in your belly! but do save room for the gelato! service is almost nonexistent so dont expect much after you get  your drinks!

Came in for brunch on a Sunday, and they literally had everything available.  From breakfast to lunch to dinner items.  They had a great omlet station with a chef and a self serve waffle station.  The food was okay and they replenished the items pretty quickly.  My favorite item was the salmon, which was perfectly cooked with a char-grilled outer crust.  Our server wasn't the friendliest...she was an old hag that didn't seem like she was too thrilled to be there (I couldn't really blame her) and the other people there were a bit shovy.  I guess that's how people are at a buffet?  I mean there was a LOT of everything available, so I"m not sure why people were shoving me to get to the food.

Fooooood coma! Watch out! When I'm being treated to a place like this, I can't help but stuff myself.

It seems like most buffets are more about the quantity than about the quality. But this isn't your typical buffet ... each item I tried was soooo goood.

A few of my favorite things in order:

Salmon wrapped in Banana Leaf - AHHHHHH.
Shrimp Cocktail - so fresh!! I think I ate 100 of these.
    Lobster Ravioli
    Roast Beef
    Prime Rib
    Macaroni & Cheese

Also the clams, mussels, pizza, pasta, asian food, and sushi were yum.
They had a wide selection of delectable desserts too! Lots of tarts, little cakes, and gelato! I personally liked the eclairs, cheesecake, and the coconut cream puffs.

Oh note: A party of ten or more = 12% gratuity added.

Waitress was friendly and attentive. The decor is beautiful. One small downside: there aren't any restrooms in the buffet, so you have to go outside.

Would I come here again? Yes.
Is it worth the price? Yes!!

Come hungry and it'll be worth it.

I decided to try this place since I had some slot dollars I could put towards dinner.  The line to get in was long.  We waited 30 minutes for a table.  I am not sure why we had to wait so long though.  There were clearly empty tables throughout the place.  Maybe they were saving them for the high-rollers, who knows?

The best part of the buffet was the seafood.  I have some shrimp cocktail as well as the mussels/clams in white wine sauce.  I found the salmon cooked in banana leaf to be a bit dry, but still good.  I also liked their Spanish rice and potatoes au gratin as sides.

The desert section has an assortment of pastries, cookies and fresh fruit.  I had some mini pecan pies and peanut butter cookies.  Very tasty.

(The Chinese and Italian areas didn't appeal to me so I pass on those.  The Japanese section was lame with just a few rolls.)

Service was excellent.  Our waitress was friendly and quick with clearing the plates while we go more food and getting drinks.

So after doing exhaustive research online about the buffets in the area, we chose the Borgata as the best overall buffet.   We did the trick of getting there at the end of breakfast to be able to get both breakfast and lunch for the price of breakfast.
I've eaten in a lot of buffets around the world in the last 20 years - Shanghai, Singapore (orchard street- amazing), New York, Asia in general, Europe, India, Hotel Del in San Diego, San Francisco, and Vegas (Belagio!)
The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but pretty standard-run-of-the-mill Westin/Hilton/Marriott level breakfast buffet.  I actually would give the breakfast buffet a 3, maaaybe a 4.
Lunch was disappointing. I Would have been very upset if I paid lunch prices for lunch.  Nothing stood out. Nothing was good that urged me to go back for more.  The kids weren't event excited by the Gelato.  I suppose if you want to do a buffet, Borgota will be the one to go to in AC.   I can't wait to get back to Vegas this summer, it's been 10 years...

Don't waste your money here!  Save it for the table games!  Borgata buffet is pricey and does not satisfy.  It looks enormous on the outside and there are a lot of choices, I'll give it that.  But when you go to eat it, it's tough to swallow (where the quality control..there is none with this buffet).  The steaks and prime rib were both dry, as well as the various types of chicken.  The sushi was just sad.  They had the typical California roll and a tuna roll..which was cooked tuna from the can.  Sadly, the only thing I enjoyed were the french fries.

As for dessert, they are very cute looking but are deceiving.  The cupcakes were not moist and tasted like they've been sitting out for a bit.

Go gamble, go shopping, do anything else but eat here.

The most ridiculous buffet ever!!  This is the only buffet ever that I dream about the quality of the food for the price.  This has got to be the best buffet on the East Coast.  All the food IMO is prepared as well as if it was prepared for an entre.  There is a wide variety of cuisines, meats, vegetables, salads, starches, and desserts.  The breakfast buffet is not as stunning broad but the food is equally incredible.  The desserts are decent and maybe the chink in the armor.  However, I love the gelatos.

At the Borg Buffet, you will find sushi, chinese, steaks, prime rib/turkey/salmon carving stations, italian, fried foods, carribean, seafood (clams, mussels, fish, but no crab legs) and american dishes.  The menu doesn't change much from week to week.  They will serve you wine for extra, and soft drinks and coffee (but not expresso/cappaccinos) is included.

If you are one of those Austin Powers Fat Bastard type eaters that require crab legs and mounds of mash potatoes, then maybe this place is not for you.  But if you like tasting a little bit of everything...and everything good...you will enjoy it.

Buffet runs about $20 for breakfast, and $30 for lunch/dinner.  If you have or earn a "Black Label" comp card, the first two guests are only $10.

I ate there just once, but it was enough to enter in my top list.

It's probably the best brunch place I have ever eaten!

The variety of food is excellent, from start to finish. It has all the best breakfast options you may think of, including some variety of french food, has excellent variety of meet but also vegetarian options for the actual lunch menu, and awesome desserts.

    TURN ON'S:
TRY THE BRUNCH! Food variety, maybe one of the greatest myriad's of food I have ever seen.
Not only the variety, but presentation and taste of the food is top star.
Probably the best place to eat in Atlantic city if you are looking for a buffet.

    Turn off's:
Waiters may serve you in a way not so good...the role they play in there is basically drinks and bring the check, but they behave like they are bring to get rid of you.

Just have to start off by saying that I love Borgata. It's my favorite casino in AC. Unfortunately, upon hearing better than mediocre reviews, my experience at the Borgata Buffet was lackluster. The first time I ate there, my party was comped the meal and we were excited to try the spread. Upon closer examination, the food wasn't anything to rave about really. The best thing I ate that day for lunch was probably the prime rib and this spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli. Everything else, including the dessert options were pretty forgettable. The second time was for dinner and wasn't much better. I don't plan on eating there again.

I'm generally NOT a buffet lover, but I do occasionally indulge in overeating. I've definitely had better buffets and for the price ~$25-30, you couldn't played at least 2 hands of blackjack at a $10-15 min table lol.

Skip it and go back to the tables.

The Sunday Brunch Buffet here is nothing to be too excited about, especially considering it's $27 price tag. There was a short line around 1230-1pm.

    Highlights:
-Clam Chowder had lots of clams in it, could have been slightly thicker, but still tasty
    -Prime rib
    -shrimp cocktail (hard to fail)
    -mashed potatoes

No crab legs and the dessert wasn't too appealing. Standard buffet. Never tried any of the other buffets in AC, but I assume this is one of the better and nicer ones.

We have been here more than a few times and the food was always great but this weekend was disappointing. Yes the shrimp were very good but the rest of the entrees were meh. Also some of the blandest desserts I ever tasted. How can you have tasteless desserts? I might think twice next time especially considering  the $30.00 price. Luckily the mother inlaw had comps so we got off easy.

Come here for dinner and you'll be enamored with wide selection of foods. Shrimp cocktails were fresh and plump. Fish were cooked to perfection and not too dry. Meat were tender and juicy. Also, they have a huge Chinese selection. All you Asians are thinking, dumb, right? (Or at least my friends do). I know I shouldn't be eating Chinese food in buffets because they are usually cheap in cost, but I do need my serving of fried rice and chow mein every time I am in one. And Borgata didn't disappoint! They also offer gelato and Orange Sorbet for dessert. plus another 100 points!

The downside for some of you may be that there are no crab legs. But I don't like them at buffets anyway because the quality is questionable (same goes for Lobsters). The sushi was also horrible. It was the cheap, soggy kind that you'd find at Costco. Is it really that hard to make edible sushi at American buffets? But overall, Borgata is a win.

This review is for breakfast only. At about $15, I think this is a reasonable value, especially since you won't feel like eating lunch that day. On the other hand, the food is very uneven.

Presentation is perfectly nice, coffee great, and OJ huge. Our server was fine, and everything seemed clean and fresh.

The sweet dishes are the most successful: tiny cheese blintzes, apple crepes, waffles. I would avoid the accompanying fruit compotes, all of which were gloppy and commercial-tasting. The savory stuff did not fare as well, with thin oatmeal, a nearly tasteless frittata, hardened "eggs in purgatory."  The chicken sausage was tasty, though.

Although I didn't try it, the omelet station was bustling. Pastries are nothing special but seemed fresh. There's a lot of filler, like toast and croissants, which I guess makes sense if you're a picky eater or hung over.

Literally the best dinner buffet I have ever been to. Most buffets you maybe find a few things you like and kind of load up on them. This place is completely different cause there were so many good things i literally could not eat them all in 1 trip. An entire section of chinese food with a great selection, fresh meat being cut for you (london broil & ham the night i was there), great seafood selection although it was lacking crab legs. Freshly made breads were great and tasted like they just came out of the oven. The desert selection was pretty good and you could see the workers constantly bringing out freshly baked cookies off trays from the back.

Now I dont pay full price for anything at the borgata thanks to my great comps but i honestly would pay the 30$ to eat here cause it is the best value you can get here for that price.

I have to preface this by saying I'm not a huge buffet person but this is a pretty decent buffet and most of the stuff isn't laying out for hours. Breakfast food like eggs and bacon isn't always as good but the mac & cheese, asparagus, lobster ravioli, and shrimp cocktail are all pretty awesome.

My friends love this buffet and the lobster and would definitely give it a 4.5 for that alone!

After a 2 hour NJT bus ride sustaining on only a fruit cup, I could have ate anything & I'm glad we went buffet style. Its a classy place for classy people. 15 minutes till the lunch buffet opens and my AC partners in crime point out that maybe we should get in the line. It's not a line, but a large Indian family who I assume has gone through this cattle call before.

    Gotta get the lobster ravioli.

Being a vegetarian, it is sometimes difficult to eat at places like buffets, but this one gave me more options then I could choose from!

They even had tofu products in the Chinese section, lots of vegetables, potatoes, etc.

The dessert section makes me wish I was obese so that I could stay there all day and eat 5 of everything. They have gelato, cheesecake bites, brownies, cookies, numerous cakes, chocolate mousse in an edible cup, and much more!

I must say, the pink lemonade tasted funny and was disappointing!

I love this place and will be back for sure a third time and many more though I do agree that the price is steeper than Mount Everst!

I have gone to the breakfast buffet here. its nothing special.

The dinner buffet on the other hand is very good. It is leaps and bounds better than any other buffet in AC that i have been to.
The quality of the food served at all the stations is absolutely top notch.

The only issue i have is with the prince. if I'm going to spend 35$ on the buffet, i might as well go to one of the other awesome restaurants here.(Unless you have a black or plat card.)

brunch? Yes please! (I'd rather go to Harrah's but that's for another review)

The brunch buffet (served on sunday morning until before dinner, maybe 4:30pm) is freakin' awesome.  They have everything you could possibly think of eating (and would want to eat), and plus since there's so much room, you can skip right on over to actual lunch and check out the carving/grilling stations right in the center of the whole thing.  I went with Bananas Foster Pancakes and French Toast, a little eggs benedict, and some chicken sausage with a side of potatoes.   Obviously very small portions for those since there were so many options, but I felt the need to try them all.  The cooks are always smiling and very happy to serve you, which I appreciate considering the amount of food they have to prepare.

all in all, an A+ experience.  :D

Just ate hear today for lunch.

I should start by saying that I am in no means a buffet person. EVER! I even, yes I'm not ashamed to say it, turn down the buffets in Las Vegas. Although this place won't make me come back every single day, it will definitely make me come back every time I stay in the Borgata.

We came here because we were comped, and my boyfriend heard it was really good. I have to say, it was really good!

They have a big chinese food section, which I am ALL FOR! The only thing lacking was the traditional chicken & broccoli, that most buffets have. The only chinese chicken dish they did have was General Taos.

The fried rice is really good, and the mash potatoes taste straight out of a steak house!

    I highly recommend this place!

The Buffet at Borgata is decent. Being from NYC I have been to some excellent buffets. I rate this as average.

This buffet has your typical findings (Sirloin, prime rib, lamb shank, roasted turkey, honey ham, shrimp cocktail, etc.) You will not find any Crab legs here. The food tastes ok. Nothing to really write home about. Desserts remind me of your standard chinese buffet desserts.

I will say that Borgata Buffet is one of the better buffets in Atlantic City.

The wait can be 45 min to 1 hour on the weekends for dinner. The presentation is excellent and the buffet is clean.
