I've noticed that sometimes the regular section of Borders is dreadfully understaffed.  I remember on one occasion I was the third person in line and it took me somewhere around 10-15 minutes to get to the front.

I come here regularly to read/study in the Seattle's Best coffee area.  I always have a good time relaxing whether that;s on the couch seating or the regular tables.  The coffee/tea is always refreshing and that particular set of staff is never short on help.

On a sidenote - it's nice to have a Borders around after seeing so many close down.  I'm glad this one is still open.

I was here for a bit. I like books, I had ZERO computer access (not able to access Amazon), therefore, I had to bite the bullet and buy something here. Oh, and I had to buy a replacement DVD of Vampire Hunter D that a "friend" never gave back. Hey, you don't mess with another man's anime!

I bought one book and the dvd.

I also joined their rewards program for gratis.

    It was pleasant.

Meh.  It's a local big-box bookstore.  Coffee shop, music, movies, books!  What can I say - if you've been in a Borders, you've been in this one.  I was at a Borders in Boston recently, it was a bit bigger, but still Borders.  If consistency and lack of character are what you seek, look no further.  I suppose it's one of the few places in this shopping area where you can sit and relax with a coffee.

Alternatives which are local: Crushed Grape nearby for food and coffee.  Novel Experience downtown for books (see my review, it doesn't serve all your needs).

Clean, organized, helpful employees, vast selection, and they even have coffee here. I give 3 stars because I prefer to buy used copies and then trade them back for "new" (to me anyway) books at our local used book store. I just don't see the point in buying new books but I suppose someone has to buy them for them to end up circulating in the used book stores.

I went in here to get a reference manual, and sure enough they did have one. I bought it, but later returned it after I realized I got the wrong book. Thankfully the staff didn't make a big deal out of returning it, so kudos to them for their professionalism. :)

Other than that, Borders is your typical big-box bookstore complete with coffee shop, wi-fi Internet, music, and of course, books (lots and lots of books ranging from many different subjects). The items are a little pricey, but if you join their rewards program, you might receive a useful coupon or two in your e-mail inbox. At least when you use those coupons (observing from my experience), Borders usually has lower prices than Barnes & Noble.

Pretty good coffee, nice selection of books, although they are heavily overpriced. A good place to read a magazine and chill out.
