All the previous reviews don't lie....not one bit.
Jaylin is fantastic. There's not much else to say except, GO! -
Review from Gina C.

Jaylin pushes you, has creative and varied work outs, and is very personable. No fear on asking questions or pointers. Great trainer!
The all ladies group was fantastic. Every person there is supportive and non judgemental. Being outside feels great and getting up early to work out really jump starts the day!
The prices seemed a bit high to me, but I'm a cheapo. I was actually able to get a student discount which made all the difference. I think it's great she offers that.
They also do little extra classes like stair work outs and zumba. FUN idea!
She'll send you emails for all sorts of help. It is really a fantastic program! -

I get bored VERY easily, especially with working out, BUT that all changed once I started Bootique fitness. I was hooked from the very first workout. I have NOT had duplicate workout, they always have something different for you, which is awesome! I loved the fact that it's an all girls atmosphere, so no creepy guys looking at you or competing with you- and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that we workout outside. Jaylin is awesome! She's full of energy, always smiling, and most definitely cares about helping you reach your goals. What I love is that she sends out very informative emails with articles such as what foods you should buy when you're doing groceries, and fat loss tips. Another thing I should point out is- Jaylin is always planning different free events for the public such as Sunday boot camp, and even hiking!
I want and must point out that I had to physically miss a couple classes last week, but didnt really miss class... LOL No! I'm not contradicting myself right here... I was able to workout with the Bootique girls because guess what?? They post workouts that you can do on your own at home! I mean, yeah... i rather be outside working out, but if you can't attend class- they have options for you.
My list of reasons why I love Bootique fitness goes on and on... Bottom line is- If you hate going to the gym, Bootique fitness is where you should workout. If motivation is your biggest problem- Bootique fitness has that covered, the trainers are motivational and always helping you do your best! If you don't have time to make it to one class- don't worry, Bootique fitness has tons of morning classes and late afternoon classes you can attend. My advice to you is- STOP wasting time, summer is right around the corner! The faster you start, the better you'll feel and look!
PS- Their Zumba classes on Tuesday and Thursday KICK BUTT. I'm hooked! -

Bootique Fitness.....I cannot say ENOUGH good things about it. Exercising with fitness guru Jaylin has truly motivated me to do my best and beyond. Jaylin is a wonderful, motivating, and energetic trainer. She wants the best and gives her best everyday.
Ed, the nutritionist is outstanding. He too offers superior service. He is well versed on various types of foods/recipes.....I am a vegan and he developed a 30 day menu plan for me which included varied recipes. He is a wealth of good information both nutritionally as well as physically.
The workouts are fun, challenging and different each time. I LOVE Variety! I have been exercising with Bootique Fitness ladies over a year now. I have noticed changes in my overall fitness level. I am stronger, leaner, and have tons of energy. I would recommend to any WOMAN who wants to transform her body. The camaraderie, support and motivation that you feel from other women is awesome! One of the best part of exercising with Bootique Fitness, is exercising outside in the fresh air....NO STINKY GYM!
Dont' forget to stop by Zumba....OMG....can you say...SWEAT....WORKOUT and FUN!!!!!
GO FIGHTER ABS
Thanks Jaylin and ED.....you are both awesome!!!!!!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Bootique until today!
This is not your stereotypical drill instructor bootcamp. But it's JUST as effective as if it were. Jaylin is the most positive and motivating trainer I've ever known. She is always cheerful but she manages to keep the class motivated to squeeze out ONE more rep, to squat lower, to try harder. It's so helpful.
Also? HELLO! It's OUTSIDE! Totally non-threatening environment, and the best part is you'll never get bored, because Jaylin switches things up all the time. Jaylin and Bootique rock! -

I have gotten bored with workout classes in the past, but not with Bootique. It's really fun - every class is something totally different and unexpected, and the trainers are very energetic and constantly pushing you to be your best! The classes fly by because the workouts are so varied and keep you interested. I like that it is outside because you can really taking advantage of the beautiful San Diego weather!
Overall, I highly recommend Bootique! -

Jaylin is awesome...she's just the cheery, encouraging person you want telling you to do 20 more push-ups and 40 more squats!
I have a busy schedule and love that her classes are just 45 minutes - and she always starts & ends right on time so it's easy to squeeze in a good workout.
Classes are FUN and make you sore the next day... or two. However, I do think that supplementing classes with cardio on off days is best if you're more of a fitness junkie.
When my work schedule changes again I'm looking forward to more bootique! -
Review from Joanne A.
Like Yelper, Dan B. wrote, I too am not a fitness junkie, but trying to better myself since I'm not getting any younger! Why workout at an indoor gym when we have the beautiful outdoor scenery all around this town of ours?
I just completed two weeks of my very first boot camp and to be honest, I was not sure what to expect. I like the fact that the classes I go to are only for women (but the 7:15 evening class is co-ed and available three times a week). Jaylin is very personable and is flexible with my schedule where I can attend either her morning or afternoon sessions. I'm committed to attending every session I paid for, so this Yelper has no excuses to not go!
My buddy attends a boot camp at his gym, but when he and I were comparing notes of our experiences, I seem to like my arrangement a whole lot better. His boot camp runs for an hour and a half on Thursday nights and Saturday mornings; I like that mine is Mon/Wed/Friday either at the very start or end of my crazy-busy days!
Forty-five minutes for a workout three times a week is not bad; anything over an hour might be questionable if I can survive or not, but the entire 45 minutes you're there, you have Jaylin's undivided attention and unlimited enthusiasm! I have to admit, I suck with my form on certain exercises, but Jaylin is right there with you doing her rounds with the group to make sure you're doing it right.
She likes to keep the class small, which I also like (my friend's class at the gym has close to thirty attendees). My first class had twelve attendees, the most was at fourteen, the least was at this morning's session with seven.
The gals in the groups are enthusiastic and believe it or not, it's actually FUN! I would highly recommend that you check out Bootique Fitness. Jaylin's a petite ray of sunshine that will help you achieve your goals (she's enthusiastic even at the crack of dawn!). She's also really good about sending you daily emails on how to stay on track with little tips here and there on how you can live a happy, healthy life.
If you're in search of a boot camp, search no more and sign up for sessions with Bootique Fitness now! -

Thanks to DIscoverSD and their Hookup I purchased 6 sessions for $30. I was a happy camper for such a great price!
The bootcamp is great and Jaylin pushes you in a motivating way. Very welcoming and it's specifically for women which I liked. I just started really getting back into a fitness routine so I was challenged. I really liked that Jaylin shows you 3 levels of each exercise so you can work your way up and it keeps the "fitness junkies" challenged too! If you consistently go (I went 3x a week) you will see results. Jaylin also gives you variety each session, she doesn't repeat the workouts so there is plenty of variety each week.
After two weeks I noticed I wasn't getting as tired on my victory runs (quick run after a circuit) and my arms were getting stronger from the push ups and different arm moves. I really loved that I saw results in such a short time.
I definitely recommend this bootcamp and there are plenty of locations...I go to the Balboa Park/Hillcrest location but I know there is a Harbor/downtown, Mission Bay and other locations like La Jolla and Point Loma (coming soon). -

I am not a fitness junkie. I'm allergic to the inside of any gym. Lifting weights is boring.
Then I found Bootique Fitness. I've attended the 7:15am class for the last 2 weeks and am having a blast (which isn't saying that I'm not sore!). After the first week, I could already see and feel a difference in my body.
Jaylin makes the workout fun, adapts to each person's fitness level and attracts a fun and diverse group of clients who are fun to work out with. This is not your normal boot camp. I've found it to be serious fun with something different each time I've been. She mixes it up and hits all those body parts.
I highly recommend checking it out. -

I love spending my mornings at bootcamp! If you would have told me I would have ever uttered a phrase like that a year ago... I would have laughed but it's true! Somehow I manage to haul my cookies down to the beautiful backdrop of the San Diego harbor by 6am 3 mornings a week and this IS impressive. I attribute it to the fact that this class rocks!
Jaylin is an energetic and positive trainer and makes the class fun and interesting. I am always surprised when it is over because time flies.
I can do cardio until I'm blue in the face but bootcamp helps me do all the other stuff that I HATE doing. If you want to try a different workout that actually makes squats semi entertaining ("Kathleen!"), I suggest you check this group out! -

I just completed 4 weeks of workouts with Jaylin Allen and loved the workout I got every morning that I went to this class. At first II didn't know what to expect but the trainer, Jaylin Allen was motivating and personable and always made the class interesting and challenging, which is one of the things I hoped for when I joined the class.
I recommend this class to everyone who wants a change up in their work-out routine or who needs more motivation OR who just loves working out. -

Before you get upset about the three stars, let me say that this camp is a WONDERFUL way for people to start getting back into shape. The trainer Jaylin is so positive and fun and encouraging, and she makes you feel welcome from the very first class, and she goes out of her way to help you take her message beyond your workout hour, with food guides and encouraging emails even when you're not working out.
The reason why it gets three stars is simply because it didn't work me hard enough. When I read "boot camp", I expected to be sweating through my tank tops and too sore to move for 2 days after every class. To some, this may sound terrible, but as I am one of those people you may call a "fitness junkie" I tend not to feel like I've gotten my money's worth unless I'm hating myself for making this decision and dying for class to be over every time I go. Don't worry, I love myself after, but I crave that boundary/ability pushing workout.
Let it be said, though, that I bought this as a group coupon, however, and the class was packed. Perhaps those coming as a regular member have smaller classes or different routines.
In closing, this is a perfect camp to start getting back into shape with, but not what you're looking for if you want to work out so hard you kind of wonder if death might be a better solution than the current workout class you got yourself into. -

I am on my third week of Bootcamp workouts and I am LOVING them. The workouts are 45 minutes, include a variation of exercises that are meant to increase strength and keep the heart rate up. The cool thing is that the workouts go by really fast because the exercises are fun and fast paced.
I really like the encouraging environment that Bootique provides. I feel like the staff is there because they truly care about fitness and their clients' success.
I also really like that Bootique is designed for women only. No boys allowed! Not that I don't like boys, I just don't like when trainers train men and women exactly the same. Because we are not the same!
Try one of their classes, you'll love it! :) -

This is literally one of the best bootcamps I have been to in San Diego (and I have been to a lot of them!). Fauntelle is an awesome instructor, I seriously don't know how she has that much energy at 6am! I especially like that it is all women. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to spice up their daily workout!

This is a great place to get started to get back into fitness. It isn't the scary mean bootcamp I was expecting, but a moderate, very supportive and safe environment for your individual fitness level. Jaylin really cares about you personally and about conducting the class the best she can, and is so chirpily enthusiastic (no matter what time of day).
Most of the people in attendance seemed to be people like me - people who have been sitting at a desk too long and have a few extra pounds they'd like to drop, but don't want to go to a place where they feel judged and inadequate about their current fitness level. And Jaylin really does create a space for you to be ok exactly where you are, but to push yourself just a little beyond so you can improve. The routines didn't get boring because she always changed them to something different, but each one was a good workout in its own right and they weren't hard to follow.
During the 1 month I was there I dropped 6 pounds and 2% body fat. And let me assure you, I wasn't exactly kicking it in the butt on my days off. And now that my month is over, I miss it and I want to go back. I've been told she just started a Zumba class on tuesdays and thursdays which I plan on checking out too.
I don't know if I recommend this class for someone who is already in a state of chiseled perfection at a peak fitness level. This is really a good jumping off place for getting started to get back into shape, and a good way to maintain a moderate fitness level for everyone else. But it's held in a beautiful place, with nice people. Overall I enjoyed it much more than I expected I would.
I would complain about the excessively high number of pushups we had to do, but my shoulders and arms look way better so I can't really fault her for that. -

5 weeks in and seeing results!
If you are in need of a new fitness routine or completely out of the habit of working out I highly recommend checking out Bootique fitness. The classes are tough and I was incredibly sore the first few times but I started to feel better and have more energy almost immediately. I told myself I'd try this program for a few months and I am already seeing results at the 5 week mark. My clothes fit better, my posture has improved and I can see the toning all over especially in my back, legs, and abs.
I've done quite a few classes at gyms before and other bootcamps before but something that stands out about Jaylin's program is her motivating training style. I love the fact that no routine is ever the same, working out outdoors, and that the classes are offered multiple times a day so there is no excuse to not work out if your schedule is hectic. -

Bootique Fitness is amazing!! Having a bit more time after graduation, I found bootique fitness through a friend. The first work out made me so sore, but the only way to really get over the soreness is to keep going on and continuing with the workouts. I am competing my first month here and just signed up for another month! With a little bit of dedication to an easy to follow nutrition plan, you will see real results!
Jaylin is such an amazing trainer and she really makes the class fun, upbeat, and challenging yet approachable. I really recommend the 6am class to everyone who is looking for a great workout, an inviting atmosphere, and no regrets! -

VICTORY LAP!!!!! I was in need of any sort of fitness regimen after 2 years and quite a few extra pounds I decided to get off my butt. I researched a few different options but for some reason, mostly due to awesome reviews on YELP I signed up for a week at Jaylin's Bootique bootcamp. After the first 45 min. I knew I needed this to change my life. Here are just a few reasons I love it:
1. You're outside in the park.
2. Normal girls all there for the same reason - to get our asses kicked.
3. Jaylin is a bright shiny ray of sunshine and you can't even get mad at her.
4. Jaylin actually cares about you and your health.
5. Different locations and times for classes so you can't make an excuse.
6. Jaylin goes outside normal duties to try and help you - stair workouts, Zumba and now even trying to get something together to help us with nutrition!
8. 45 minutes of intensive cardio and weight training 3 times a week so you can get on with your day.
I am so thankful for Jaylin and am ready to step it up even more during the day since I'm feeling more energy and generally better about myself.
Body, mind and spirit - Bootique gets them all synced up for sure. -

Jaylin is Awesome! I'm the kind of person who does NOT like to work out at all, I generally just buy a monthly pass for the gym and I never go, but that's not the case with Bootique Fitness. I actually want to workout because it's fun and makes you feel like a superstar afterward! I've been going almost non stop since last August and I can definitely see results. The locations are beautiful (outdoors), the trainers are AMAZING and the results are evident. Thanks Jaylin!! :D

I enjoy coming to Jaylin's boot-camp class. I love the location and Jaylin is supportive and gives everyone a little personal attention. She is there to provide you the tools you need to get in shape, maintain, lose weight or whatever your goal may be. The workouts are an intense 45 minute total body work out. She includes cardio and strength training combined. I can't wait to see my results over the next few months using her nutrition guidance and workout plan. I agree with the previous reviewers. I was nervous about coming to this class on my own, but there are people of all shapes and sizes who are all there for good reason. Women should definitely check it out.

AMAZING! Don't let the bootcamp scare you...keep reading.
I made one cameo to my gym in the past 6 months so I was looking for something different to jumpstart my comeback. I thought for sure that I would make it a week before I quit but Jaylin offers the best workout that I have ever done. This is my fourth week!
She is energetic and genuinely happy. It is very motivating unlike some annoyingly peppy aerobics instructors that I have had in the past. Each workout is different and interesting. I even like her "victory laps" and if you knew me you would know that I do not like running.
Somehow the class flies by and I'm exhausted but I've got to tell you that I have this prescription level endorphin burst that lasts WELL into the next day. I used to have tension headaches and have not had one since before I started with Jaylin. Much better than taking medication! -

I hate exercise and going to the gym. But I like going to Bootique Fitness. First of all it is 45 minutes, nothing is supposed to hurt and Jaylin works you out hard but then it is over. I guess the saying is right "Time flies when your having fun." The session I go to is for women only but there are other sessions that are unisex classes. I recommend going you will definitely become addicted.

I have been attending boot camps for 4 months and have seen more results than when I did one on one training for 8 months!! Bootique Fitness is an amazing company...the trainers are motivating and always cheery. Fauntelle and Jaylin have been so AMAZING to work with:) I feel so comfortable when attending class and that definitely makes me want to come back for more!! The fact that they have a nutritionist on staff is awesome. Ed has helped me so much in learning what foods are best to live a healthier lifestyle. I have not only started exercising more than I ever have but also eating better than I ever have:) Bootique has taught me how to live better and workout more effectively!!! Thank you all...keep up the good work:)
