We just had an antique dresser (from the 1830's) that we purchased moved from Point Pleasant, NJ to Franklin Lakes, NJ. About an hour trip. I just want to let everyone know how thrilled we were with the thoughtfulness, care and professionalism that the folks from Booth Movers provided today. Not only was the service amazing in preparing the piece for transfer, the antique house that we purchased the piece from actually called my wife and let her know how careful the gentleman who moved the piece were....they were shocked. Not only did Booth move us from our house into storage (and will be moving our stuff from storage when our new house is built) but this shows that even small projects are important to them. Booth, thank you for everything today. We had some obvious trepadations with moving a fragile piece and you guys came through with flying colors!

History
Established in 1945
Booth Movers was founded in 1945 and is established as one of New Jersey's oldest and most reputable moving and storage companies in the state. After years of management by the Booth Family, the Padla Family took control of the business in 1978 and still oversees daily operations today.
Doug Padla, owner and president, aquired the company and has now involved his children, Lindsay and Adam, into it's daily operation. With a strong management base and many long term employees, Booth Movers continues to prosper today.
Meet the Business Owner: Doug P.
Doug Padla acquired Booth Movers, Ltd. in 1978 and, over the course of 31 years, has strategically guided the company to the position it's in today. Doug's full range of knowledge of the industry stems from his many years of service, accompanied by his hands-on management approach to every aspect of the company. He is a graduate of Temple University where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Education and Master's Degree in Administration.
Doug is active within the moving and storage industry. He is the past President for the New Jersey Warehouseman and Movers Association (NJWMA), the past President and Chairman of the New Jersey Tariff Bureau, the current Chairman of the North Jersey Chapter of the NJWMA and the current President of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, Doug received the prestigious Bruce Cooper Lifetime Achievement Award from the NJWMA and has been named the association's Board Member of the Year.
