I LOVED this boot camp! Robyn and the other trainers are very knowledgable and are great coaches! This boot camp kicked ass and any skill level can do it!

I've run half and full marathons but wanted to try something different. I was burned out. I found a Groupon-esque deal for Boot Camp U and decided to give it a shot, since the Arboretum location is right in my neighborhood (other camps meet down south, at Mueller, in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Leander).

BCU has been kicking my butt 3-4 times a week since last July. All the trainers have either advanced degrees in exercise physiology or years of experience in the fitness field. I've tried other boot camps, and what sets BCU apart from the others is that the experience of the trainers really shines through. They catch me when my form isn't right and keep me from hurting myself, while still pushing me beyond what I think my limits are. I've toned my muscles and strengthened every part of my body! An unexpected benefit of boot camp is that I've even become a faster and more efficient runner, thanks to the strength training and cardio work.

Robyn, the head trainer/owner of BCU, is very personable and cares about the health and well-being of all of her campers. She organizes events like group hikes, 5k races, and even social outings at Esther's Follies. She's built BCU into a small, close-knit community. I'd recommend BCU to anyone looking to get in shape in a fun, supportive environment, and who doesn't mind making a friend or ten.

A great way to start the day, BCU works for me as I need the motivational setting of group exercise oudoors. Gyms don't really do it for me.
There's a good mix of cardio, circuit training and stretching with warm ups and cool downs as well. Group numbers hover around 10 which is a good size.
My trainer, Roman, is friendly and encouraging without excessive gusto so you can workout at your own pace. Who knew clapping at the end of a burpee would ease it's pain?
I've just got my third month of BCU and really enjoy the classes. I can definetely see and feel progress!

Just Boot U It!!! I have been training with the U for almost a year and it has changed my life for the positive. More energy, strength, and overall wellness. They have made the experience always educational as well as entertaining. My trainer Kim is consistently upbeat & aware. This is a top notch organization in my experience and highly recommend it to anyone that would like to enhance their life experience.

Asskickery at its finest!  So much fun, diverse in its activities, and Robyn ain't the evil taskmaster type.  It's kinda like having your big sister teach you cool stuff you can't wait to get really good at.  And it's a RIIIII-Diculously good deal.  You could pay 5 times as much for a handful of personal training sessions at a gym, and you won't have nearly as much fun doing it.  DO IT.

There are a lot of different ways to get fit, but the two things I like best about boot camps are they maximize the results for the hour you spend and two, they work on strength, flexibility, and cardio for a great overall fitness and energy boost. The instructor in the Cedar Park class, Kimberly Kravanya, does a good job of observing how the exercises are done and correcting for improper knee position or posture to make for a safer and more productive  workout experience. This a good time to sign up for a class because the morning workouts will help provide a calmness to offset the holiday stress and winter blas everyone experiences.

I have been training with Robyn since July 2009.  At first it was just a way to get in shape for my wedding.  Then it because a passion that I hated having to miss.  I saw myself getting stronger and more toned.  I'm now able to run faster 5k times and finally felt strong enough to finish a half marathon.  Robyn is a great motivator and will not let you quit, no matter how much you think you can't finish.  I haven't met a trainer as dedicated or as skilled in making you feel that you can accomplish whatever fitness goals you have.  Check out Bootcamp U.  You won't be disappointed.
