Cute little place, right out of the 50's.  The food was good and the service was friendly.

While I was there, I couldn't help but think about the Soprano's scene that was shot there...poor Vito....

Known as a shooting location for the "Soprano's" where Vito gets his Johnnycakes, the Boonton Diner hasn't changed the vintage look and feel of the classic "diner" .

I eat breakfast here once a week. Though I switch up every once in a while, I'm usually an omelet or egg guy. Try the pierogi instead of the hash-browns.

On the weekends, especially Sundays, the diner tends to get crowded mid-morning as it doesn't have many tables and booths. Service sometimes suffers during the most busy times. Other than that, the staff is very friendly, and the food good.

"Yes!", they DO have Johnny-cakes on the menu.

Our trip to the Boonton Diner totally exceeded our expectations.  It's under new management, and it really shows!  Everyone is friendly, the menu is creative and reasonable, and the food was very tasty.  We had breakfast - pancakes with apples, raisins, and walnuts for me, and the Los Cabos wrap for my husband.  We can't wait to go back and try the homemade pierogies!

Possibly the only downside is that they're not open for dinner!
