1 review for Boone County Public Library
This itty bitty branch of the Boone County Public Library was useful twenty years ago when Hebron was nothing more than a sleepy town with two stoplights. But in the past two decades, this area has experienced exponential residential growth, making the capacity of the Lents Branch inadequate.
With only one meeting room and seven public computers, this branch hasn't kept up with the growing population. I've heard rumors that a new library will be built in Hebron and that the Lents will shut down, but with the opening of the Main Library three miles from the Lents branch that may not be necessary.
If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and read a book, beware that this branch is very hectic when the high school and middle school get out. A uniformed police officer often patrols the library to keep rowdy teens and tweens in line.
The staff here is great and the library continually offers interesting workshops, lectures, classes, and book groups.
