I am an occasional customer at the Boon Street Diner who has been somewhat perplexed since noticing the "one star" review regarding the restaurant by Michaela, dated 2/26/2011. What bothered me when I read it is that the review is completely out of character with what I have witnessed when I have eaten there. The owner has always appeared to be a true gentleman who is working hard to build a local business. On the one occasion when I provided the owner with some constructive feedback on something I thought could have been better, he thanked me and immediately took corrective action.
Because of this disconnect with my actual experience, I spoke to one of the wait staff last week and the owner today about the "one star" review. They both informed me that the individual who wrote it was NOT A CUSTOMER, but someone whose automobile had been towed out of the private lot which is clearly marked as reserved for the Boon Street Dinner and the business next to it! While I still don't think the Boon Street Diner is quite up to "four stars", I am marking this review "five stars" in an attempt to provide some balance in the overall rating to what I believe was an unfair, biased and intellectually dishonest review by someone who has never eaten at the establishment.1 Previous Review: Show all »
