I haven't been to Boomers in 5 1/2 years and i couldn't believe how torn up it was. The turf on the miniature golf courses is falling apart and everything desperately needs repainting. It's definitely showing its age. I doubt I will be back here anytime soon.
The arcade is also in pretty bad shape, with wires sticking out haphazardly from the outlets. I felt dirty just touching everything here. The games are also really expensive. I honestly felt like I'd be better off in a Vegas casino. We spent $19 and I got a purple plastic dice. Not even a set, one single die! What can I do with that? Also, found it a little creepy there was a Wheel of Fortune game identical to what you'd find in a casino here. Guess you gotta start the gambling young.
The only reason I'm even giving this place 2 stars instead of one is that despite the condition its in, the arcade actually has as big of a variety of games as I've seen anywhere so I gotta give them props for that. Overall, though it's icky and old, I'd go elsewhere unless someone starts maintaining this place soon.

I was one of those kids who got dropped off at the library by their parents in the summer when school was out. Is that even considered child neglect? Whatever the case, my parents figured the library was the better babysitter than some sketchy arcade, dirty movie theater, or smelly comic book store. But the smell of millions of old books? It was just too good to pass up.

So imagine if I had been dropped off at a place like Boomer's. I'd probably turn out as a totally different kid. I might have honed my putting skills at the mini-golf course, turning out to be the hottest pro golfer sensation. I might have found my love for race car driving on those bumper cars. I might have practiced my swing enough times in the batting cage to become the next big league baseball player. Or, I might have spent enough time in the arcade to make a living as a professional video game player.

Improbable? Yes. Impossible? No. What's the point of this story? There is none. Just to reminisce. I hadn't been back here since my college days. Call it a 10-year hiatus. I felt old back then, now I just feel like a fossil stepping foot in there. The place still looks run-down and decrepit. I think McD's realized that too and ran away. It's now been replaced by greasy carnival food. No thanks. Where's the library around here?

This is definitely a played out fun zone. Costs for each game/activity is wayy to over priced. There are not that many new games at this place as everything here is the same stuff that was here like 15 yrs ago. They have a mini golf course which is just okay. I do like their go cart track. But $20 will keep you entertained for probably like half an hour. This place also seems like its always under construction.

This place is so much fun. I haven't been here for years and since I'm close by decided to check it out again since we had a coupon for $10 off.

Went on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty empty which was nice. So we ended up paying $15 for unlimited for 4 hours for the rides/games...not arcade games. Just played mini golf and went on the go karts but it was worth it.

Mini-golf course is torn up, large patches of concrete are wearing through. Waited 20 mins to use the go-carts but got shut down because the lady at the counter messed up the points or whatever, at least they gave me a refund.

My boyfriend and I went here for our first official date, so I like it for the nostalgia factor.

Besides that this place has been exactly the same since I was 12.
Go here on a weekday and they offer good deals.
It's a great place to just have fun and mess around.

We had a great time at Boomer's last night! 15 of us caravaned down to Irvine from West LA last night for a friend's birthday.

So first, their website had a $19.99/all you can play for 4 hours coupon. Don't bother printing it. When you get to the park, they have a Manager's Special for exactly the same price. So that made us happy, because not everyone had printed the coupon.

We did pretty much everything except the Bumper Boats. Laser Tag was fun (I owned those fools, thank you very much!). We played Mini Golf and rode the go-karts. Oh - and then there was an incident on the Rock Wall.

The kids weren't overly annoying and the staff was chill - which if you're in my group of friends is a really good thing. I don't see myself driving out to Irvine again any time soon, but Boomers was fun for what it was!

Fun place to come if you're a teenybopper.

Miniature golf, go carts, a bowling alley next door..  Pretty standard stuff.

Once upon a time, a boy and girl came to Boomers.

The girl let the boy win at mini golf. The boy let the girl win at go-karts. They fed each other greasy pizza and drank slushees. After lunch, the boy pushed the girl in the pond during bumper boats.

Ah. Young Love.

One year later, the girl pushed the boy into insanity and watched him drown in the dark abyss of his emo pain.

The end.

I come here mainly for the batting cages.  I just buy some tokens and swing for a good hour or so while balls come shooting at me.  Fun times... sometimes the balls swerve to the left or to the right so you just have to really know what you're getting yourself into.

They have miniature golf here too.  Mini golf makes me yawn so I don't play.

The arcade area is pretty ghetto and seems to be dead most of the time.  I wouldn't exactly call this a happenin' place - for that you'd have to try chuck e cheese's.

I once won 4 carne asada burritos from some friends of mine after winning a mini-golf bet with them. That's just about the coolest thing that ever happened here.

And yes, I include the raves that were somehow held here once in awhile.

So apparently they no longer take tokens anymore.. you have to get this lame charge card that cost $1 (I know big deal but still). Regardless, my friends and I still enjoyed playing the few games that we could afford with my limited amount of leftover tokens from I-don't-know-when.  And we even left with some chinese finger traps & warheads.

Took the kids here a few times for miniature golf. I always have fun when they have fun, I'm a good mom. :)  I think management do try to maintain the golf more than the laser tag. They do try to change the layout of the golf holes once in a while, and even on weekends, unless you are behind a large party, there is virtually no wait. Although they charge $6.99 for a 5 mins. laser tag, it is perfect for my kids since they are younger, so suits them better VS the 20mins game at laser quest. I guess the management assume it's dark inside, so they never vaccuum the waiting area in laser tag, it is quite dirty and gross. And the McDonald's is probably the most run down I've ever been to. needs major remodeling. Overall, it's a decent place for the kids to spend a few hours.

Smaller miniature golf park. The prices were higher than other places, but hey, it's Irvine. It is in a good location with a bowling alley next door. The video game department was a little lacking.
They do offer batting cages, go-karts, etc.

Of course, they do have a McDonalds inside. They get an extra Star for that at leacd

They do a decent job at keeping up with the games...but a poor job on maintaining the games (ie DDR, which is totally broken). The staff of course doesn't give a rat's *ss, so yeah...most of the stuff is broken just enough to make it not fun. =(
