It's been a while since we were here.  I remember when we brought our kids here years ago.  Tim fell in the water.  Tim swung his gof club and we all had to duck to save ourselves.  Kristen passed out at the batting cases.  Alison would just hit the ball into the water.

Somehow the course is showin its age.  It is not well maintained like it used to be.  The water "rivers" weren't running - although that might have been due to the time of year.

We did the go-karts.  Sevennah was the "passenger" and found it difficult to go straight.  Well, actually she did go straight - it was just the course that had curves in it.

When all was said and done, we had fun!

Oh, did I mention that I got a hole-in-one on the last hole and won a free round of golf.

I only go to Boomers (or would go to Boomers) for the batting cages. It's cheap, and it's a good way to kill an hour or so. The downside is the ball machine gets stuck quite frequently and you have to wait for the attendant to come fix it.

Otherwise, I think this place is pretty good for mindless entertainment. $2 for 30 pitches. I have not tried any food or refreshment, i have not gone on any of the other rides, and I have not visited any other attraction they offer.

The place did have an all around "sticky" feel, I'm guessing the one in Irvine is better! I had fun nonetheless

Wow this place is so gross..

Had an itch to do something different on my Saturday night, why not hit the batting cage??

Came here and the place was just swarming with tons of insects... u know those annoying little ones that form huge balls and get into your nostrils, mouth, whatever opening/crevice they can find? they were EVERYWHERE you can possibly find yourself in here...

It was too much, we drove down all the way to the one in Irvine.. much better

Today was the last day my fiance and I spent together as a couple w/o our daughter.

I wanted to go to boomers so we could go to the batting cages and play minature golf.

Well........... What a distaster... For one...

1) Minature golf = Run down half ass course, and  8 per person for half course. WTF? The rest of the holes where covered with yellow caution tape. At least a discount or something!!!

2) Go carts were fun but  pricey. 7.00 per person.

3) Batting cages= Nightmare!! We paid to play and the balls were not even shooting out. We moved to another cage, same thing. The balls would fly out every minute or two or three..... For those of you who have never been to a batting cage. The balls NORMALLY fly out every second.......

The arcade machines eat your money, i had to take my glasses off to push the money through the slot... The game didnt play but i got my tokens along with everyone else's who were stuck. There are no attendants to ask for help.

The rides were not working and the place was abandoned.

Will i ever go there again??......................... NEVER... I have no idea how this place is staying in business.

Miniature Golf here was fun.  I dont mini golf much so i am not sure what you should rank it on...

it was 8$ per adult. we get two clubs and two balls. there are 2 courses u can take..we did both =X

some of the holes were filled w.water due to recent rain which is kinda gross  so we kinda dodged those. a lot of the holes looked rundown and old...the people in front of us got their ball stuck in one of those windmill things. hahaha it was opening and closing on the ball...

still i had fun. so im not complaining...

they also have gokarts, rides, food, arcade games, and the bathrooms are surprisingly clean...."clean" for an arcade family fun center that is! =)

Boomers is not a bad place to kill some time and have some fun for a couple of hours if you want to play some miniature golf. Me and the gf played for a couple of hours for just $8.00 per adult. The courses are pretty fun and when there is no people waiting after you, we kept replaying some of the courses to kill time. There are two different courses 18 hole courses and we ended up playing both. Some of the holes were filled with water due to the rain which was not properly drained out.

I would stay away from the arcade area because I think it is germ infested! All those little kids and toddlers that play in the Arcade area, you are bound to catch something. I cant speak for the womens restroom but the mens restroom was nasty! It smelled like an alleyway in Downtown L.A.

3 stars because I had such a blast with the gf.

I hadn't played miniature golf in almost ten years.  This course wasn't amazing by any standards, but they at least had two separate courses -- an easy and a hard -- which kept some of the annoyance factor to a minimum.

That said, the place was definitely full of high schoolers and families, typical of what you'd find at a place like this.  It is what it is.

I hate this place...

But I love how the mini golfing is located by the 405, so I can make odd gestures to driver's passing by.

Oh, and I guess mini golfing's not that bad, but the arcade isn't too fun and the rest kind of... isn't fun.

I hate the go carts. True story.

I wished I never worked at this dump place! I was a party server, and it seemed like the place is about to burn in hell or something because sometimes we didn't have plates or cups. What kind of restaurants run out of plates and cups?!! It ruined my memories for Bullwinkle's forever!!
I know the kids have fun though, I guess that's all it matters. The only fun part was working with my friends and making fun of everything that goes wrong there. :D Oh and surprisingly, they have the best pizzas...! Just eat it as soon as possible or it would taste like cardboard in 30 mins.

This place was a million times better back in the day when it was Bullwinkles and had the water show inside and totem poles out front. Fast forward to 2008 and the only reminders of those glory days are the moose carved chairs in the dining room and the familiar smell that still permeates the joint.

It was a cool 82 degrees at 9pm on the longest day of the year, so the bf and I arrived at Boomers trying to seek some A/C and some cheap entertainment. Mini golf is now a whopping $8 a person (remember when it was $4 only a few years ago??) so we opted to get an overpriced pitcher of Bud Light and play skeeball. It was pretty empty on a Saturday night so we basically had the place to ourselves. It was fun but the Irvine location would have been way better. There were barely any games to play. I agree with Amanda P., this place is depressing. It's just kind of empty and reminds me too much of skate night in 3rd grade. The food didn't look very appetizing either. Tommy's however, was calling my name so I think a trip there followed by some roller skating may be on the agenda soon...

As part of our time down in SoCal and having no plans - we drove to Boomer's for a couple hours of fun. There is a Boomer's near my place in the East Bay, but I've never been. We played some air hockey and our guy friends raced each other on some of those car race games.

We wanted to do go-karting - had to wait forever as little kids were so happy to be driving. But, once we got on the track, we rocked it - and you could tell we are good drivers. :)

The downfalls - even with an hour til closing, we couldn't do minature golfing and the arcade was set to 100 degrees plus.

Fun times - good for the kids and the kids at heart :)

Went there for the first time for a kids bday a few weeks back. It was a fri nite and so dead and quiet. Very small too. We ordered food which was hella expensive. The mini burgers had no taste and there were so many flies outside. Best thing out of it was the beer jug the adults had. The kids of course had fun in their tiny fair rides. I'd prefer golf n stuff even tho ppl say it's worst. My friends bought funnel cake and chicken strips made for a 3 yr old plate. The arcade was nice. The mini golf set up was cute too. Good excersize for ppl who like to go up and dwn hills. Go carts lines took forever and was pretty old. Let me add the workers (teenagers) go figure looked like they hated their jobs. The server was no where to be found. Took forever to get condiments. My daughter loves the rock climbing but hey what do I know I'm no longer a kid so I'd rather listen to the kids reviews for this theme park.

How sad! This place is really run down. The go-carts are in bad shape, the golf is worse. The greens are in such bad shape that an older couple in front of us gave up. We wanted some pizza and have the kids play in the tubes but there gone. Again this place is really run down. The only really good thing about this place is the Tommy Burger across the street. What a disappointment!!

Why isn't miniature golf a sport on TV? If they were half as funny as I am when I play mini-golf it would be the highest rated sport show on television.

Boomers is a complete dump.
The staff is full of incompetent pubescent teenagers and the arcade is full of stinky screaming children pumped full of greasy pizza and high fructose corn syrup.

I love it here.

Great mini-golfing times to be had a boomers.
Stay away from the pizza.
It always does me dirty.

Went here back in Sept 08. Which was not that long ago haha. Well sort of. Anyways, its okay. The mini golf is probably the only fun thing to do at boomers. Sometimes it can be pretty crowded and you'd have to wait like 5 - 10 minutes to hit a damn ball.

Forget the kids at home...this place can be fun for the inner child in all of us. Well if you have the kinds of friends I do.

We came here on a saturday night after a pretty dull night of hooka and catching up. I gotta say it's a lot of fun. We all put 5 bucks in a pot to see who was the best golfer. The winner gets it all. That and the fact that we all had the tiny kiddie sticks (the red ones) made the night all the more challenging.

It was a great time to mess around, loosen up, and just have a good time. They got some great specials and if you go in the day time I'm sure there will be lots of kids but at night it was lots of couples and some teens but that didn't bother me none. I wasn't there to pick up girls or anything I went to have a good time and that's exactly what I got.

Their courses are really fun and they have batting cage specials and arcades. It's a very teeny bopper type place but bring enough of your friends and you can make the place your own. I enjoyed myself and made the most out of it.

THe actually place I'd probably give 4 stars but b/c it rescued me from an otherwise uneventful night I'll give it 5 stars.

Oh yeah and we stayed till after they were closed and watch two of the employees threated to kick the other one's ass in the parking lot. We sat in the car to see if these 18 year old kids were really going to fight. Sadly they didn't and we just left.

Oh and there is a tommy's burger right across the way for those late night munchies. I should review them...

Pretty good spot to take the kids during the day.  We've taken our nieces here on a few occasions while baby sitting and they've always had a blast winning those tickets in the arcade and selecting their prizes.  There's also a jungle gym area, but once you lose the kid in there, it may take a while to coerce them to come back out.

As far as night time, we hit this miniature golf up after downing a few pitchers at a nearby eatery  and had a round of highly buzzed mini-putt which was actually very entertaining... Haven't played minigolf in a quite a while.  I was the score keeper (bad idea) and my drunk ass was writing all the numbers in the wrong spots so we still argue about who won... lol...

Before it was Boomer's, it was Bullwinkles, which was much better, but it's still pretty fantastic.
If you have kids, you know a birthday party is a fun, yet stressful thing to plan. And the clean up process post-party, no thanks.
I decided to throw Skyler (my 6 year old) her birthday party here last year and it was a wonderful choice. They help you do everything and the packages are actually quite cost effective. No need to plan a ton of activities, the place is jam packed with games, rides, and (my fave) batting cages. We had an absolute blast!! They have pretty decent BBQ chicken pizza and pitchers of beer for the parents. Thank you Lord.
The bathrooms aren't too clean inside the main building, but the other one's are ok.
Great place for miniature golf!!

I only go to Boomers for one thing and that's the batting cages. My main complaint about this Boomers is that their so-called "very fast" pitching machines top out at 70 MPH, while the "very fast" machines at other locations throw 80 MPH heat. So if you like to hit 80 MPH then you'll have to find somewhere else to go. Also the two 70 MPH machines they have are very screwed up, they throw one pitch down the plate and the next pitch will be high heat that would even be out of Yao Ming's strike zone.

Not a good place for hitting.

We decided to go to Boomer's to go miniature golfing.  We show up and were able to do the 4 attractions for $20.  This is kind of cool because you can split that between 2 people.  So we decide to go on the go karts, but that was ehn because some hoodlum (yes I said hoodlum) decided to be a jerk and cut everyone off all psycho style while his child was in his go kart.  So we were governed at the yellow light speed for way too long.

After getting a headache from the psuedo high from go kart exhaust, we headed to the mini-golf area.  Aghh!  They were out of normal size clubs, and the wait for anything other than a kiddie size club was an hour and half.  So we took 1 kiddie size club and saw a couple leaving from the 18th hole.  They were happy to switch with us and return the kiddie size club.  The course was fine, nothing grand and nothing dismal but the crowd that  patrons this place after 9 pm is an ecletic mix.  I am being too kind with words.  There were a few other couples like us but for the most part it was teenagers (I have no problem with them) but then there was a slew of random young males dressed the part and walked the walk of someone lurking for a purpose.

Whatever, I will karate chop anyone who thinks they are going to cut in front of me while I am taking my 10th shot on a hole with giant mounds!!

This place is a dump! I went there with my friend last night to play some mini-golf and this place was rather pathetic. I have been to the Irvine Boomers which was FAR better. Some of the putting greens were torn up, hardly any of the lights along the walkways worked, the water ponds were all dried up, and there were some holes that had absolutely no challenge to them. I will never return to this mini-golf location.

This is mainly a review of Boomers Cafe.( formerly Bullwinkles, way back in the day.) I personally felt it was a creepy, slightly depressing, and totally random experience that I never would have ended up in had my drunken friend not insisted on going to the batting cages. Shana and I each ordered a personal pizza and pitcher of beer. Totally overpriced for what it was, of course (Bud Light pitcher- $8; frozen mini pizza- $6.) It was pretty much empty on a Sat night. maybe one or two other familiies there. The interior is hideous and blinding; picture multicolor benches everywhere. The pizza was damn good, however. What weirded me out was the staff comprised entirely of teenagers.(not that adults would want to snag that kind of a gig. It jsut made me feel really old)I had to go to a separtate counter to get my beer poured, and the girl there said she wasn't able to pour it. I hollered out, "WHY NOT?! JUST TILT IT AND POUR!! WANT ME TO DO IT?" Oops I guess theres a law. My bad.
Even if I had kids I don't think I would subject them to this kind of a place. It reminded me of a scary acid trip.
