Boomers.
HAHA - What marketing genius came up with this one?
I love theme parks, but I hate carnivals. Boomers reminds me of a carnival that has over-stayed it's welcome. It gives off that sketchy-vibe, similar to carnivals. It smells like a carnival, it has rickety rides like a carnival along with the unreliable operators. I don't trust carnies and I especially don't trust adolescents with hormonal imbalances to operate a ride I'm about to enjoy.
Three stars for the go-karts, batting cages, and the mini golf course.
Seriously? This place is a horrible money trap. First off, the place is filthy - sticky floors, stinky game room, etc. We were starving so after waiting in line for 15 mins (there was only 1 person in front of us and we counted about 7 Boomers employees behind the counter), 3 dollars later and another 10 minutes later we finally got our microwaved pretzel - eewww. We played mini golf ($8/a head!) and the 'courses' were literally falling apart. The turf was warped, as were the holes, making for a difficult game. The holes towards the back had leaves and spiderwebs covering them. We go inside to the game room and 3 games in a row eat up our tokens, another machine denies us of rightfully earned tickets. Seriously, nearly every game we played stole our tokens! what a rip-off this place is! not to mention the staff is less than friendly or helpful.
ok enough ranting...needless to say, I do not recommend this place!
I come here often when I dont want to gamble at Viejas lol.
Pros: Get the $20 token value. It's the best value. Ticket Redemption games are easy to hit jackpots. Most games are only 1 token. Tons of things to do inside and outside.
Cons: Food prices are insane. They take forever to replenish tickets in the redemption games.
Other notes: They've gotten better about fixing broken games faster. Now I only see 1 or 2 games that are broken. Oh and if you come without a $20 bill for the token value, go to the outside cashier and pay with a Credit/Debit Card. This way you skip the ATM withdraw fee.
This place sucks. I can't put it any better. Granted, we didn't get outside to the miniature golf and rides, my kids wanted to play video games, so I can't vouch for the rating on the outside entertainment. But good grief, one person working the food service line who has no clue, they don't give out names or a number for your order, slow as molasses. One napkin dispenser, and you have to ask for things like ketchup, when they should just have a condiment table out and napkin dispensers on the table, upstairs and downstairs. It's not rocket science. Menu board is confusing and all over the place, and get a beer and wine license so the adults will be happier. One reason I put up with the giant rat and/or screaming kid ambiance at Chuck 'E Cheese or Peter Piper is they at least sell beer to make it tolerable for the adults. Oh yeah, and as far as clientele go, make sure you only go here if you have a lot of nasty tattoos, a beer gut (male or female), and look like you just escaped from San Quentin. Ugh. I felt like Penelope Ann Miller when she is stranded at the bus station in "Adventures in Babysitting". I would give it zero stars if I thought it would accept that as a rating.
