I came here with a bunch of medical students (about 20 of us, with an age range from 21 to 28 years old) mid-afternoon on a weekday.  Five of us arrived early, and we wandered around to check out the various options.  At the laser tag area, the manager offered to let us play three times (for free!) while waiting for the rest of our group to show up.  Props to the Boomers employees for not being sticklers for rules - not only did we get to play a few free sample rounds, we also weren't yelled at for running (technically against the rules, but who doesn't run when they're being shot at?) or climbing on the barriers (to shoot down at unsuspecting friends).  [Sorry Danielle C. - to be fair, we were the only people there... and we could have pretended to take care of each other if someone actually had gotten hurt].

Our group ended up being the only people in the place, so I disagree with the "crowded" comments from past reviews.  We negotiated some sort of deal with the Boomers party specialists and ended up paying a reasonable price for an all-you-can-play pass... and spend the entire time alternating between the laser tag and the go-carts.  This was my first laser tag experience.  My husband, though, is a laser tag veteran and has been to "superior" laser tag facilities (fog machines, multiple floors, that sort of thing).  I just had fun shooting people.  The guns didn't always work perfectly, but I had a blast anyway.

All in all, positive experience.  I definitely wouldn't hesitate to return.

I went here twice in one week while I was on winter break, once on a tuesday and the next time a thursday.  The different between the two days was amazing.  On Tuesday there were practically no lines and no waiting whereas thursday it was a zoo!  Not sure if that was a fluke but just something to consider.  I appreciate that the workers, even though many of them seem very unhappy, take safety very seriously.  We noticed a few occasions where they turned people away for improper footwear or they banned someone for improper or unsafe play.

We did pretty much everything there except the roller coaster which I don't believe was operating at the time.  The go-cart track is super impressive: very long and lots of turns.  I also enjoyed the rock climbing wall, and laser tag.  The laser tag room is large, only one level, and they don't play any music which makes it not as exciting.  My gun didn't work twice which if I had been paying per game I would have been pretty upset, but it didn't really matter to me since I was just playing by the time.  When we went on tuesday there were so few people there that the operator even ran it (5 minutes per game) with just the four of us - that was the best!

I also like that you can leave to get food and then come back so you're not forced to eat the food there.

It is a super cool place to go on Tuesdays or Thursday for there $12 (+$10 to make it really unlimited) but it sucks that the services is SO bad! lets not even talk about half of the arcade machines not working.

Everytime we wanted to do something different we had to go to the front desk ask the very nice lady (sarcasm!!) if somebody would help us.  She said she will call somebody, three hours later some kid showed up.

once again, if you have A LOT of patients and you have tuesday or thursday off...go right ahead. it is pretty cool!

Wow, how the once mighty has fallen.....Boomers you really disappointed me the last time I visited.

Back in its heyday Boomers (and earlier Grand Prix RaceoRama) used to be a good quality place where you could take your girl or family and have a great time and feel like you got excellent entertainment value for the money. I used to frequent that place at least once every couple months for fun and games.

It had been a few years since I've visited Boomers, and last month I took my family there for an evening of fun and dinner at the food trucks that showed up that night.  We enjoyed the food trucks outside, but when it was time to go in and play, we were really disappointed.  More than half of the arcade machines and games either don't work or are malfunctioning in some way - how do you feature an arcade that is run down and not working?  The staff is not approachable or helpful, and don't know how to interact with customers even just for general questions.

My daughter and I rode the Merry-Go-Round, and she got scared because the ride was shaking in a strange manner, like it was falling apart.  She never cries from riding a merry-go-round, except for this one. Thanks Boomers.

At the end of the night, my wife and I decided we will not be returning to this establishment with our kids anymore.  Thanks Boomers (and Grand Prix), it was fun while it lasted.

My family went there and wanted to play mini golf.  We went out side after getting our clubs which were too big for us. They didn't have many options.  We started to play. One of the holes ate both our balls so we went inside to let the staff know and they were like oh ok thanks! They didnt offer a discount or say sorry and offer another ball.  We left. We had an ok time but we have been to better mini golf places.  The best part of being there was seeing an iguana roaming the yard!

Oh Boomers... I remembered you so fondly from my youth....

Boomers used to be located next to Grand Pre Race-a-rama, now they own both their own kidding go-cart track and the larger Grand Pre one.

Unfortunately that's the ONLY thing that's kept up from the former Grand Pre area. The arcade, parking lot, out door area - it's all overgrown, empty, vandalized, and otherwise scary. They don't even have the building open for bathrooms - there's a pair of port-a-poty's sitting outside by the line to get a go-cart.   Not cool.

To be fair though - it is a huge track for go-carts. I can see why they would want to keep it around, but man... it's not a fun walk at night. (Although it is well lit).

As for Boomers' main property, considering the volume of families they host each day, it's in surprisingly good shape.

Adults looking for a better arcade than Dave and Busters will find it - but all the updated and clean facilities, not to mention full bar and menu, will be missing.

I did hang out at the Boomers bar to have a beer, and I noticed on their menu that a pitcher of soda and a large popcorn was $20. Are you kidding me? $20?!?!

I give Boomers two stars because the boys I was with DID have a good time and the prices for "credits" weren't awful.  Go for the go cart track that was Grand Pre's - stay a lil longer for air hocky, maybe lazer tag, and a few of the arcade games - leave for dinner and drinks (and to use the bathroom).

Only gets 2 cuz my son and his friend had fun. Got here at 10am played till 12:30, nice quite weekday ( no lines) Left to go eat at islamarada fish co. (another dad review on the  way). Had to leave to eat after seeing one of the Boomers food service guys picking his nose (good lord it was nasty)!!! so came back to play out the kids time and the place was now filled w/ 4 bus loads of a YMCA campers. Ok I get it, it's summer the kids need to have fun. However, it seemed like every employee in the place ran away letting anarchy prevail, kids on top of the air hockey tables, fights over games, kids crying in on the ground...other then this the roller-coaster and big go karts are closed. Fun for 2 kids that didn't spend $85.00 to a headache.

    Boomers is awesome.

This place makes me feel like a kid again, even though I've never been here with any children. This is one of my favorite places to come with my boyfriend on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, just to play together, laugh, and be silly. It really does wonders for a relationship to take time out and play with one another.

Get the share-able play card for the best value; you will probably spend $60.00-$75.00 for two people, if you do all of the rides and the carts. It ends up being a much better value to just get the big card and use any leftover points the next visit.

We almost always start out with air hockey, and he always wins. Then we run out to the bumper boats to thoroughly soak each other before getting on a few of the carnival type rides. After a few rides, it's on to put-put golf, where I am the undisputed champion. We always ride the roller coaster at least twice. It is surprisingly fun and a great adrenaline rush. Unfortunately, the roller coaster is run by a separate company and you have to pay for it separately as well, no point cards accepted.

We love to play the fireball bowling game, and they have a very entertaining basketball arcade thats a pretty good workout for yours arms as well as a ton of laughs. They have a nice variety of motorcycle and car racing games, and the traditional arcade games.

The games are all a little wacky and don't always give you the correct number of tickets, but there are plenty of attendants running around who are more than happy to pop the thing open and give you what you earned. The games are fun, and surprisingly cheap. You can play for hours for twenty bucks.

The best part is the Go-Karts! These cars are not nearly as fast as the ones at X-Treme Indoor Karting, but they are plenty fast. The outside track is very long and appropriate for all skill levels. It's a fun, adrenaline pumping, laugh-out-loud fun time. Come here with your family, your kids, your friends, or your special someone; just come!

Sure it's a little run down, some of the employees are cranky, and some of the kids playing the arcades are sorely in need of a little parental discipline, but if you come to Boomers with the expectation of having a fun, childish afternoon, thats exactly what you will have.

Bigger version of Chuck E. Cheese.

I really liked the bowling there, but there was a time limit for each player, so whenever the balls came in we'd have to pick one right away. There were many kids next to us picking them up before it was even their turns. I was like, "Hey, wait for the green light first then go!" in a nice way and the kid looked at me with a shy "bambi" look face and said okay.

Another time was when I was using this machine at where you pull on something and it spins on a number then it tells you that you get either 15, 20 tickets. I got 40 tickets twice in a row. Then, one kid went crazy and wanted to take it over. =/ lol, got my tickets and just walked away with my friends and moved on to other games like fortune wheel or something. Then, we played this thing on a table that had a sliding disk that looked like a space ship bouncing off the walls, felt like playing ping pong but only it was flat and phosphorous, which was pretty cool.

They also had red bull themed tables and coolers by the bar, yet they had no vodka. But this was a place where all ages were, so it made sense not to serve that hard liquor. I had flavored malt beer, which was like having Smirnoff apple.

I had so much fun with the go karts; I waited in line for like an hour and a half and they had about 7 working ones by then. Some people cut in front of us, which was rude. A little girl was walking by us, which was fine, but just because she walked that way didn't have to make her family walking in front of us and ignore like nothing happened. I just wanted to get out of there already and get in the cart. :D

At the end, I decided to get myself one of those smiley face thingies that you stick it to the bottom of it and it pops up. Something unique and cute.

I warn you, though: Too many pushy, impulsive kids.. glad they were shorter than me. lol

I've gotta say that I was seriously impressed with Boomers. I've been seeing that scaring (and unstable-looking) wooden roller coaster for years on the highway, but I decided it was finally time to check it out.

The place is run down; it reeks of bad 90s advertisements and set up; the attendants are bored. However, there is an absurd amount of fun to be had and at a great value. They had loads of arcades, bumper karts, and (excitement skyrocketing) LAZER TAG. But I was most impressed by the 5-course mini-golf game (we couldn't even get through 2 courses!) and the go karts that went much faster than I initially gave them credit for. It was so Mario Kart. I was actually pretending to throw a shell. Because I'm a nerd.

The best aspect of Boomers, as I previously mentioned, is the value. Here's a helpful tip: If you go with a group (of four like we did), don't each get a $25 dollar 100 point or the sampler pack. Get the $100 750 point card -- because you can all SHARE the card (unlike at Gameworks). And 750 points will literally last you two visits because each attraction is really, really cheap. (24 points for go karts; 24 points for lazer tag, arcades are about 5 points each)

FYI -- I went at night and it wasn't crowded at all.

I left South Florida 3 years ago, and in that time, Boomer's has really changed, for the worse.  Boomer's is a chain of pay per attraction amusement parks, with 2 South Florida locations (the other is Boca Raton).   Here you will find  a 1 1/2 mile go kart track, a large arcade, kiddie rides, bumper boats, batting cages,  a slick track, mini-golf, and a large wooden roller coaster.

A few years ago, they had a skycoaster; a crane would lift 1-3 people 180 feet and drop them in a ride that was a mix of bungee jumping and a giant swing.  On my last visit, the skycoaster was gone.  I asked two employees when it was taken away; not only did they not know, they were obviously irritated that I would even ask them.

From bumper boats, to Go-Karts, each employee seemed to have a chip on their shoulder, mad at the world.  And mad at you for asking questions.  I  felt like Boomer's had undergone serious budget cuts, there were far fewer arcade games, and less attractions.

BOOOO! that is to Jordans review of Boomers.
This place definitely needs some help- but hey it's still fun!  During the week pick a nice day and play mini-golf.  I would stay away on weekends and any other day little snot nose kids might be out of school.  Take advantage and act like a large child.
There are a million games here.  Its just like Chuck E. Cheese on Crack.
*They have a discount you can print on their Website.

Went to Boomers for a 30 going on 13 birthday party.  Jordan is right, the place is a bit the worse for wear, but it was still a lot of fun.  You can buy a card that gives you unlimited use of some of the attractions (the scary, rickety-looking roller coaster not included).  The card we got was about $10 for 2.5 hours, so already that is a better deal than a movie.

We played mini-golf only to discover that we are nowhere near as good as we thought we were.  The groups behind us had to wait each hole for us to finish up.  They should really serve beer on the mini golf course.  (Speaking of, there is one small area that is a bar and adults-only with a few beer and wine selections.)  We got better though, all four of us scoring lower on the back nine than the front nine.  I even got three hole-in-ones, although birthday girl kicked it off with a hole-in-one on the very first hole.

The longest line was for the laser tag game, which I also sucked at.  And although the teenagers ran all over me, one of our party was the ultimate winner.  Vindication for the thirty-something set!

    Okay...this place is HUGE!

Some friends and I decided we wanted to play some mini-golf and this is one of the only places we could find that had any (WTF?). So, we were excited because there was supposed to be 5 courses to choose from.....but, no there were only 3 because 2 were under construction...and the ones that were open had holes that you couldn't even play because they were out of order or needed repair.

On the plus side we got a gift card type thing to pay with (bought it on site) and ended up more or less with a discount. So, the discounted rate slightly made up for the lack of good mini-golf.

They also have go carts & lots of video games that we didn't partake in. We were starved after our golf adventure & left to grab grub....

I'm inclined to find a different place to go next time I want to putt-putt.

what a dump! I paid over $100 to be told that most of what we wanted to play was not included on the passes, the 2 new rides were not working, the laser tag was closed, the place looks like an abandoned wreck...what else can I say? Oh, except for the girl at the cash register, a spanish girl, forget her name, all the employees are dumb as dirt and don't give a rat's butt about anything...ONE good thing about the place is the go-karts, those were fun. But, other than that, don't waste ur time, energy or gas stopping here. Ugh!

This place ruled when it was Grand Prix Race-O-Rama and arcades still existed. You'll probably get stabbed there now. Then again my friend was told he would be shot if he threw one more time in X-Men Vs. Street Fighter so I guess not much has changed.

Those 2 guys are friends now btw.

This is a great place to go if you have kids visiting from out of town and they are all beached out.  I went on Saturday for a birthday party and got there early so we pretty much had the run of the place for a few hours until the afternoon crowds started coming in.
Yes its a little bit tired but they have come along in leaps and bounds compared to two years ago when I was last there.  They now have ten pin bowling and a new bar area serving beer.  They also switched from tokens to a card system which is great and they have more kiddy rides outside.
They also still have the batting cage which was very popular on Saturday.  I didn't go around the mini-golf and it looked like it could use some TLC but I did see some "pardon our dust, we are renovating" signs so I'm sure change is a coming.
The kids were well happy with their afternoon.  We ate burger, chicken tenders and pizza.  Pretty meh, but not bad.
The staff were a great bunch of kids, so friendly, smiling and helpful.  I hope someone from Boomer's reads this and tells them all that they are doing a GREAT JOB.
