We just wanted to play some golf and nobody in the family plays real golf except for me so we stumbled upon this place. It was perfect for our needs. We had 6 people and a baby with us so we weren't a fast moving group, luckily we were the only ones there so it was great. The guy that got our clubs and everything was real nice, got the baby her own lil club and grandma a smaller club too. We played the hardest course out of the three that had and it was lots of fun. There wasn't much to the course but we had a great time. The place also has a full arcade, bumper boats and go carts which looked fun too. I'll go back for sure and try all the other fun stuff.

My daughter has bugged me for ages to stop at Boomers so she can go miniature golfing.  Finally I gave in.   What a disaster.

First, it was a ghosttown.  Normally I would be thrilled to have the place to ourselves however, I should have seen this as a sign that other people have just already figured out to avoid this place.  The miniature golf course is horribly maintained.  We lost our ball in the tunnels numerous times because they were filled with leaves or debris.  The structures on the course were really run down and dismal.  My daughter actually got spooked and asked to go home before finishing our game.  What was supposed to be a cheerful envirnoment felt more like something from a horror flick to her.  She actually wouldn't step away more than a few feet from me.  Needless to say, we didn't even stay to check out any other parts of the park.

The prices would be reasonable at a well maintained place.  For a run-down pit, they were ridiculous.  No way will we be returning.

The food, there was not much to choose from.. there are a lot of things that need TLC.. they don't seem to keep up on the maintenance.
My kids wanted to ride bumper rides and it was a last minute decision.. and we didn't have on the proper shoes so we could not ride. but i noticed there were a few other people that got to ride without the proper shoes.

Went with a group of friends last Tuesday for their special $12 all day.  We took advantage of the all-you-can-play activities and even upgraded to the go-carts.  No major complaints here.  All of us enjoyed the miniature golf course.  All of the problems that have been reported in the past seemed to be fixed now.  Do yourself a favor and give Boomers a try if you are in Palm Springs.

Took the kids here despite the mixed reviews. Many of the kids' games that spits out tickets DO NOT WORK. some just eats the tokens, some did not spit out tickets and some just didn't work at all. Kids had fun but will not come back at Boomers again.

    Needs help.

Although they have a wide selection of games, the games aren't well-maintained (skee ball has gouges in the targets, some games were broken or needed calibration).

Air conditioning is mediocre at best.

    Food is awful.

Tuesday is the day to go, when you can get the all-day wrist band. Otherwise, the place isn't worth visiting during the week.

Sign up for their Club to get free tokens.

Bumper boats will get you REALLY wet.

Ride attendants are very friendly for the most part, which is a feat, for teens. Game attendants, not so much.

I agree w/ previous reviewers -- it does need some serious maintenance and TLC.  It's a fun place to go w/ the kids, but it is overpriced -- the rock wall is about $7/kid, and keeps them entertained for 5 minutes.

We tried to play mini golf, but that course needs some serious maintenance, including lighting -- it was impossible to play after dark - we couldn't even see where the hole was.

waste of money! the golf courses are dirty and lots of cracked and broken parts.
dont go when its getting dark because the lights that are suppose to be lighting the golf course are either not facing the right way or are burned out and not changed.
first time we went there at night and when we got to hole 13 we couldn't find the ball in the dark....we came back a few days later during the day and realized that when the ball comes out it leaves the court and rolls away and you need to chase it when it rolls down the hill and bring it back to the court.
so basically if you enjoy playing on crappy worn out court that is dirty go for it other wise take your money someplace else.

in the game room some of the game are broken, and two of the three machines that count the tickets for you were broken. what a waste of time standing in that line to get the tickets counted....

this place needs to close for a few days and fix up.

I don't know why we choose to go to mini-golf in the desert heat, but whatever.  This place is kind of cheesy and ghetto, but it's always a fun time.  It could use a good cleaning and is in need of repairs, but hell it's a cheap fun time.

We went for mini-golf.  The courses are fun and not impossibly hard, though a bit tatty (some missing T-mats, obstacles/decor in need of paint).  We played all 3 courses on one ball (playing holes 1-17 on the first two and 1-18 on the last) which made up for the fact that they didn't have scorecards.   As you play, the pop music wafting from the PA will blend into the constantly repeating, minutes long safety speech for the kart racing.  This will induce a zen trance that will improve your mini-golf score.  True.

Kart racing looked fun.  Bumper boats looked broken and climbing wall was unattended, but these situations may have been due to the hour (we were there in the evening).  Lots-o-video games with the requisite thumping music for those who must.  A snack bar with greazy bits for those who dare.

All in all, a good way to kill a few hours.

Don't bother--the courses suffer from maintenance issues that they clearly aren't going to fix.  There are no motion hazards anywhere, the leaf litter that they don't clean up will divert your ball, the seams in the turf will move your ball off course, and the broken diverters will absorb your ball's energy instead of reflecting it.  One castle had been replaced with a plywood box.  And as others have mentioned, the way the holes have been laid out your ball will immediately leave your green and run downhill if you are not hyper-aware of its position.

On a partially cloudy afternoon, we stopped by for a game of miniature golf.  We didn't realize that they had several courses for our enjoyment.  We played one and a half.
Though seemingly simple, several of the holes posed a true challenge.  Each had its share of fancy holes (the ones that feature the small houses/palaces/pagodas.  Some of them were annoyingly difficult to get the ball up the ramp.  (One had the lip of the ramp a little high, which forced the ball off to the side or back down to the loser ramp.)

We didn't hear any of the music blasting outside that others had noted, but you could hear the safety announcements.  I don't think they were annoying, however.  You could smell the fumes from the go-karts, though.  If there were a little more wind, I don't think it would have been an issue.

I was surprised to note that the prices were only $5 for anything.  That was cool.  They also have arcade specials for $12 for unlimited play.

The arcade hads most of the more modern games, DDR, shooting games, race car games and a few more classic games.  There are several varieties of the games of skill that can earn you coupons.

The facility was in much better shape than several of the other miniature golf places I've visited in California.

I want to go back to play some of the games of skill and to play another round (maybe round a half) of miniature golf.

My son and I spent a solid four hours on Christmas Eve with the unlimited pass. Zero lines for go carts, we got to know the same five people who got to ride nearly every time. Golf was lots of fun with four courses. My son did the rock wall the one time it was open. Cool. Bumper boats got me SOAKED, wish I brought a towel.

Only critique is video games are not included in the unlimited pass. I bet this place is crowded during the busy season, so probably not as fun.

It was a ghost town in this place. Luckily, my 4 yr. old son isn't scared of ghost so we had a great time playing every game he was big enough to play. He seemed to have as much fun as we do when we go to Chucky Cheese...probably due to it being empty on a Sunday afternoon. I would give it more stars if the gameroom was more modern and kept up.

A serious miniature golf course owner would never let his course slip into such disrepair. Years ago, before this place was called Boomers, the course was really nice, and we enjoyed playing there. If I owned that place, I would spend the $200 at Home Depot for some wood, nails, paint and fake turf and make the place nice!  How hard is that to do?

Four stars for the Go Karts, and Three stars for the Mini Golf. What ever else there is there I can't speak to.  The carts rock- and you can ride em as much as you want.... It was not crazy crowded, and the guys who work the venue are safety minded and fair, the Karts are not bumper cars and there is no bumping allowed. After one warning and one reminder, you are out of there!  I have to say it's a fun break from the palm springs regular: sun, swim, shop, sip, snack, sleep. And it would be a fun addition to any weekenders activity list. Note: get the wrist band if you plan to ride and play more than once and plan to play pretty much blind after dark.. They are not well lit- but it's still silly fun!

Go kart racing and arcade games for kids.  This is a worthwhile stop on those nights where you're craving for some fun.  I think they also have a mini-golf course, rock climbing and bumper-boats.   Use your AAA card for discounts.

So we're wondering where to take our 4 and 6 year old girls on a recent day off and we find some old passes for boomers. We figure, hey its free, even if it sucks we don't lose! First of all I hate going to Cathedral City, aka the ghetto of the Desert. Nothing but abandoned buildings, graffiti, dilapidated roads, etc.  So we make it there and walk through the arcade to find half of the machines off, labeled with stickers stating that they were "out of service."  Awesome. So we start our visit with some mini golf. Fun, but the course looked like the city this place is located in, dilapidated and full of graffiti. We then proceed to the go-carts. Turns out my 4 year old is an inch short to be able to ride. My 6 year old and I had a blast though. That was the highlight of our visit and the last thing we did before leaving. The place overall was dirty and unkempt. We don't plan on returning any time soon. Its a shame because its the only place out here of its kind and it would be great for parents with kids to have some fun. So much potential...

this place is over priced and seedy.  the lady at front desk who is the assistant manager is rude, condescending, and obviously does not like her job.  unfortunately there is nothing else to do in the area.  i would still recommend a movie instead.
