Why am I even reviewing this place? DON'T COME HERE. This place is so ghetto and disgusting. I came to the cafe to do a school project. It was one of the few places around that I found online that has a photobooth and that is what I needed. Begrudgingly I came here alone, mistake. Everything here (at the cafe AND Boomers) is run down, dirty, and gross looking. The staff here are not too friendly or helpful.
In the cafe, there is also an arcade. The photobooth in the arcade area does not take traditional photobooth pictures. Instead of printing out in a long row, they print out in a block of four. The real problem was that I paid 3 bucks, for one photo to print out 4 times. I thought I was doing something wrong, so I paid 3 more bucks. This time I also got 4 of the same picture. Complained to the guy at the counter, and he was like " uhhh yaaa uhhh ya it does do that." I was like um, no, the display shows, it should take 4 photos. Anyway, he goes to the back, brings me some paper with some guys name scrawled on it. He said to call him for my money back. LAME!
They are clueless here, and would not give me back my money.
Anyway, besides that bad experience about the incompetent staff, and broken machine, this place is just downright dirty. The review above me is spot on about amber alerts. I walked next door to Boomers to look for a photo booth there, and this immensely creepy old guy peered over from a table. Don't go here unless you want to get mugged, or something worse! Chuck-E Cheese isn't even as scummy as this joint!
OMFG!!!! This is almost like a Chuck E. Cheese's but Boomer style. Last Spring, we came here for a birthday party. Can you imagine a place full of kids running around and adults not tending to their kids because they are socializing and/or playing too? All of that and no stinking pit full of balls that you jump in without your shoes.
So basically, you come in here at the door, you order your party package or whatever it is and you get seated with your RSVP. There are servers where then you order what you want to drink. It is so dis-organized, it's like a school cafeteria with table service. High school kids are the one serving. We had so many people, they couldn't put our whole party together so a handful of us had to sit at a different table............................................. .................on the other side of the place.
We ordered more food where now our food was delivered to the main table. Yeah, you guessed it, someone ate my food instead of asking what did you order? Then when it was time to sing Happy Birthday (thank goodness there wasn't any Ferrell's bass drum and cymbol singing in this place) we still had to come back to the main table for that.
After that disaster of rubber-ry pizza and stank chicken, salad was actually good if I had the dressing with the salad at the same time, we ventured out into the rest of Boomers where there are rides, more games and golfing by black light. It was hot and stuffy indoors and wind blowing outside and getting chilly outdoors since it is near dusk. Inside it smelled like ass and BO. My worst fear was no one was watching their kids. My best friend and his wife and I was watching after the birthday boy since everyone then was going wild doing their own thing and playing games.
By the way, I'm headed there tonight for the same birthday boy. Wish me luck. I'm scratching my head wondering if I had a tetanus shot recently?
