Much like the other area locations, this is your traditional sports bar/restaurant fare coupled with a decent selection of on draft beers.
The food mixes burgers and chicken wings with a slew of other deep-fried options, as well as some lighter and more non-traditional options relative to home-cooking.
Great place for enjoying a breeze as the patio is more than accommodating and the bar serves as a pass through to between the restaurant and outdoors. All in all, not a bad little place to stop in and enjoy the scene.Listed in: The Best Burger Quest

An A-OK rollup is pretty spot on for BoomerJack's, a chain-ish Grill with the requisite number of myriad flat screens, officially clad waitresses, no doubt carrying some sort of laminated and oversized menu awash in cleverly named menu choices.
Which isn't to say that my burger wasn't perfectly tasty, because it definitely was.
BoomerJack's is offering up a fairly by-the-numbers dining experience, and had I bounced around and asked folks to give me a word describing their take, I'm pretty sure it would not have been 'revelatory.' That said, our service was prompt and friendly, and it was easy to camp out in our corner booth for awhile and contemplate both the meals we were knocking out and our next move. This spot won't remind you of anything unique, but they know who they are and they execute that just fine.Listed in: Fort Worth Eats

I walk in here on a Friday night and man it was slow, maybe it's because their is a lot more places on W 7th now or i don't know what. The food was okay and the service came off as as being rude like sometimes they would not even look you in the eye and act like they just wanted to get off work. If you go to any Boomer Jack's i recommend going to the one in Arlington that one is so much better.

Good location. Inexpensive happy hour beer. Hamburger was one of the worst I have ever had at any restaurant. Server was cheery and pleasant. Hostess couldn't be bothered to look at us when greeting us and looked like she would rather be home when seating other couples. I don't plan to return unless I just want cheap beer.

BoomerJack gets 2 stars for their atmosphere. The place is great on game days and draws a ton of sexy college-age people to the bar. I love the open patio seating and the plethora of TVs.
That being said, the food they offer is not that great. Regular bar food - hamburgers, chips, sandwiches, the usual. Not bad, but nothing special either.
Unfortunately, the service is sub-par. The waitresses are hot, but their order-taking abilities are lacking. It takes forever to get drinks and food out and we have to constantly signal them for refills. Most of them are not very nice to their fellow girls. (I understand you want to flirt with groups of guys for tips, but if you show a basic level of kindness to a female, she will tip you nicely too!)
Their margaritas are very strong. Expensive shots.
Fun to come here as a group and drink beer, but I'd never be like "Hey I'm craving some bad service and mediocre food -- let's go!" -

I came in for dinner after a long day at work. I walked in and there was no one at the host stand. More people started coming in and after a few employees walked by one of them finally greeted everyone. I was sat and a few min later the waitress came by and said she would b with me n a moment. instead of quickly taking my ONE drink order she proceeded to go to the next table that sat After me and had a party of 8! really? ok so i thought maybe it wouldn't take so long, i'll wait. After taking their order instead of taking two steps over to take mine she went to the station to put their order in. By the time she got to me I was frustrated for me already being in a restaurant for 30 minutes and still had not so much as a water. I told her I would go sit at the bar. The bar was especially busy it being dinner time but the bartender did her best so I wasnt as disappionted after that. My date finally gets there and we ordered food. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and the chicken patty was so thin I could barely see it. I am a regular at the Boomers Arlington location and its a wayyyyy better experience. I will stick to going there instead.

Love this place! Can't beat the all day, every day happy hour prices for beer and the food isn't bad at all. Fairly good service, especially from Sally. Not a huge fan of the FF's but substitute for the onion strings. Yum!

Horrible hostess staff. They don't smile and they don't welcome you when you arrive. Instead they stand around and look at you like you are ruining their down time/break by asking to please get you a seat.
Horrible waitress. We barely saw her. She was slow. And she didn't thank us for coming.
I guess I expect good service when I go out. Is that too much to ask? -

The service was slow because I think the waitresses like to chat among themselves. The burger was pretty dry. My friend had the fajita which was much better than my burger, but it was pretty greasy. I don't think I'll be back again. I think you should only go there for the games on their big screen TVs and probably drinks. I would never go there for their food.

I have been here many times so I must like it . I like the location and the food isn't bad. Free appetizers during happy hour isn't a bad thing either. Unfortunately the beer isn't that cold and a lot of the times the beer taste like the lines need clean when I order it on draft.
It's a Sports Bar and thats about it. -

I'm giving them 4 stars for their food, happy hour and plethora of tv's which makes this a great place to eat and watch the game. I agree with other reviews which comment on how the service can be hit or miss....
The servers I've had have always been friendly enough but some can be scarce or like one male server I had, got our order completely wrong and didn't seem to care, he couldn't even remember our drink order and had to ask us again about a minute after we told him. My boyfriends meal got comped so that made up for the service.
Sometimes the waiters are spot on and remember everything we need and sometimes i see two or three different girls bringin us our orders.....
It can get pretty noisy but hey it's a sports bar, and the bathrooms could be looked after a little more frequently but this place is starting to become a "usual" for me. -

We were looking for a place to get some decent bar food, a couple of cold beers, and watch the US Open.
The hostess was unenthusiastic, to say the least. She did not say hello or even smile. All we got was "how many? table or booth?"
The Open was on several channels! My beers were cold, my husbands, not so much. We started with the fried pickles. They came out fast, but were extremely salty. I ordered the Adult Grilled Cheese Pannini and my daughter had the Kid's Hamburger. The flavor was good, but the food was cold. My guess is our food waited on my husband's jerk wings to finish.
Overall, unimpressive. We will find another establishment to patronize. -

LOVE this place.
Atmosphere - 5/5! There is awesome indoor and outdoor seating (including bar seating for both), multiple TVs with different sports games on, and the restaurant isn't smoky!
Food -
- 5/5 - Southwestern chicken salad - hands down the best salad I've ever eaten.
- 5/5 - Fried Pickles - amazing, need I say more?
- 4/5 - Bleu Cheese Burger - delicious, but a little overcooked
***They have happy hour M-F from 4-7 and you get free fried pickles and free fried peppers (with ranch!)***
Service - 4/5 - the waitstaff is always super friendly, but typically slow to take your order/get your check/etc.
I continue to go to Boomerjack's regularly (am going there tonight in fact!). Fried pickles here I come! -

All Day Every Day Happy Hour (even on a Friday night at 9pm)!!! $2 Pints (med size) and $3 Pilsners (large size) plus free fried pickles and jalapeños. On another occasion I tried the honey bbq burger and it was pretty tasty. Service has been good one time and just decent another. But mainly the 4 stars is for the happy hour :-)

We went to Boomer Jack's earlier this week for lunch. Our on-site cafe was blown out with conference attendees, and so we headed to Montgomery Plaza. I'd had drinks at the Boomer Jack's in Bedford before, so I was eager to try their food.
I had a California ranch chicken sandwich, and it was GOOD! The bread was good, bacon tasty, avocado cool, and the ranch was awesome! I like that it comes on the side so you can dip for the right amount to get the perfect sandwich:ranch ratio.
And what's more, they have awesome fries! Evidently, they are known for their loaded fries, but I was really happy with their plain, ol' regular order of fries.
The service was a little slow, but our waitress, Ashley, was cashing out 4 tables right about the time we were trying to order. She was really sweet, got our order right, and was on top of her game once the other tables got settled. Actually, Boomer Jack's sounds great for dinner tonight! -

Not much to say.
I was looking for a casual spot to have drinks and a bite to eat. Went on the suggestion of the front desk of the hotel I was at.
BoomerJacks's is a sports bar at a trendy location. Fried Pickles were really good. Had the A1 Burger with sauteed mushrooms added also pretty good.
Service was attentive but not nice. I did get what I wanted and in a reasonable amount of time but the only smile i got was when the check came.
OK but I have no reason to come back. -

Best freeking onion rings I have EVER had. They are chicken fried and perfect. They have the usual sports bar menu, wings are decent, burgers are juicy, sandwiches okay (I especially liked the grown up grilled cheese) but those onion rings were out of this world. Give me a plate of those and a cold tall beer and I am a happy camper.

This place is great. Went there had a cheddar burger it was very good. Happy hour is everyday all day so it's a good deal. Oh they have these onion straws that are excellent. It is a good place to go sit on the patio and relax.

Decided to walk down to BoomerJack's as it was the original reason for me coming and I Was hoping the prices would be more to my smaller bill liking! Was seated quickly in bar area and taken care of by three seperate members of the staff due to my being a a twinner table! Not a one of them missed a beat or was "selfish" to make the tip. Had cold beets quckly and food as well. Got the fried pickles because of other reviews and got a TON! Little salty but isn't that the point? California Chicken sandwhich was good and veggies on side the standard for such an establishment. The $2 standard draft prices will be enough to bring me back! Good NFL football coverage and with no Dallas game (thank goodness!! Redskin fan here) I wasn't bombarded with the local team! Weather allowed for indoor or outdoor dining so either would have been fine! I would have been comfortable bringing short ones too as the envirnment was comfortable for all ages!

Had been wanting to try this place as it's in a cool hip location, Montgomery Plaza and we are sorely lacking for good sports bars(with good food) in W.FTW. Bar was reasonably crowded for NCAA Elite 8 Pitt v Villanova but there weren't relay any interested parties in the bar, i.e. anyone rooting for one team or the other which kind of down grades this as a sports bar. Lots of nice TVs but atmosphere was kind of weird for a full bar with no one interested in outcomes. I'm sure it's a lot different for Cowboys or UT games so it gets a pass. We did traditional Buffalo style wings. Nice size wings done wet, with celery. Tasty hot and spicy, beer cold. Our waitress was running around like someone had played a cruel trick and had her first day be a Saturday night with NCAA's on TV, somewhat inattentive but once the beer and wings got there who cares? Outcome did not go my way, Hail to Pit, but the food was good and the beer was cold. The kicker here was the "OK one last order of wings" order, Honey BBQ boneless wings. These were not chicken fingers,,they are wings with the bones knocked out,so they still had a little skin etc and the honey BBQ sauce was killer, a very nice ending to a disappointing game! I'll be back,,,when there is nothing on the line. Looks like it would be very cool when the glass garage doors are open and you can sit outside.
