It's almost pointless to review this place. They do nothing wrong. Everything is affordable, they have neat stuff, the staff is delightful, it is newly renovated, and your money supports a good cause.

I'm posting this review because sometimes it's just nice to have nothing but positives to share.

What happened to all the clothes?!  Did they take half their inventory to their new store in Central Square?  So disappointed the last time that I went.  The Goodwill down the street had better fare than Boomerangs this time around...

Still a good place to buy stuff for a great cause, just thinned out even more than before.  Hope the store gets full again.

    Quirky, campy and cheap!

My coworkers stole all my forks at the office kitchen?  Boom! New forks for under a dollar.

The crappy couch I bought in Allston is falling apart?  Boom!  Better, more comfy couch for $100.

I've been hankering for that hat I can't afford at Salmagundi?  Boom!  Straw hat for $5!

All that and a makeover now?  Boom!

This place is Mecca for all those who seek a deal.  Get ready to sweep through cd racks and rummage through the clothes racks because all the best items are hiding and waiting to be found.  I have purchased designer jeans for $6.00.  Buy it if you like it or it's GONE.  They often get great vintage and modern furniture.  Stuff is always changing and it goes to a great cause.  This place is far better than the Boomerangs location in West Roxbury.

One of my favorite places to visit and also to donate my family's cast offs. I have found amazing jewelry and clothing here, scarves are fantastic. Not too long ago bought a delightfully rusted candle holder...Martha Stewart would have spent hours trying to re-create this "aged look."  Also the staff is so kind and welcoming no matter who you are or what you are wearing.
For the fashionistas out there have found Boden, J crew and other designers.

This past summer I furnished my entire apartment with finds from this store. I even brought in a dolly that I rented from uhaul to move the big furniture down the street to my apartment. The staff was so helpful. They even helped me secure my new finds to the dolly so that it would be easy to move. LOVE IT!

I have lived in and around JP since 2004 and I LOVE Boomerangs.  I love that they have random music cassettes that intrigue my boyfriend.  I love that I found an AMAZING vintage brown dress for $15 that makes me look like a sexy flight attendant.  I love perusing the used books in the back room.

I happily shop at Boomerang's several times a year and realized that it's a really great way to get clothes cheap if you happen to be changing sizes and don't want to break the bank.

I love Boomerangs.  It's the best thrift shop around.  The atmosphere is so friendly and homey, and happily cluttered, not sterile and organized like down the street.

Boomerangs gets two out of their four stars from me JUST for their rotating window displays alone. Best window displays in the city, in my opinion. I love how they manage to find such a vast array of items that all share a common theme - usually seasonal or of current interest - and artfully arrange them for everyone's viewing pleasure. Well done, again and again.

As for the actual store, it is quite jumbled and attention deficit in there - but I guess, what thrift shop is really organized? It's basically a trillion people's attics and/or basements and/or storage units and/or closets all combined together in one building.

The items are generally well-used and/or in disrepair. Odds and ends of every sort. A random variety of clothing.

The staff are more or less friendly, although somewhat standoffish - they don't really seem to give a rat's arse as to what is going on, usually carrying on conversations with each other as they lounge behind the main counter. But then again, if my suspicions are correct, they may or may not be volunteering there in the first place, since I know Boomerangs has a lot to do with the AIDS movement in the city, supporting local groups like the BLC with vouchers for members and promoting the AIDS Walk, etc. Cue: my other two stars.

i don't think I'd necessarily buy anything in there, but if I were on a tight budget or was looking to refurbish or make something out of other's people's junk, then sure, why not.

Like my pa always used to say, "one man's junk is another man's treasure".

Best. Thrift shop. In the history of thrift shops. There is never a time that I come here and don't walk out with 10+ random yet undeniably awesome items for under $20. Whenever I walk in I tell myself that I'm just "looking." An hour later I've got a basket full of stuff and can't bear to part with them because they're only $1 apiece. To do so would be a crime against humanity.

It's impossible to come to Boomerangs and not spend money. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's the kind of retail therapy that doesn't require a credit counselor to undo. Guilt-free indulgence.

Their clothes, while worth checking out, are more hit or miss than the plethora of other random crap they have. Most notably, I've found some incredible records here -- the kind your parents listened to while you were being conceived. Their household decorations and furnishings are also top notch.

Shopping here never fails to make my day. One man's trash is another's treasure.

(Oh, and, the music that plays while you shop -- as well as the general demeanor of the employees -- makes me think that you should be stoned to maximize your Boomerangs experience. Act accordingly.)

Disclaimer: Thrift stores really aren't my thing AT ALL. They smell funny and kinda skeeve me out. This one was no different from most in that sense. I came in here looking for a chair for my tiny studio apartment. My friend's former apartment was filled with cute finds from Boomerang's, but I had no such luck. Everything was huge, clunky, ugly, or just plain suspect. That said, I could see how Boomerang's could be awesome if you're a thrift store kind of person. I did see some vases and other decorative things I liked and would have bought if I were in the market for that sort of thing.

Oh! And I saw my old microwave here. You might be thinking "Lisa, how do you know it was YOUR exact microwave?" It just was. That was weird.

I absolutely, positively love Boomerangs. Whoever thought a thrift store could have *several* things worth purchasing? I didn't purchase any clothes, but while waiting in line, some people purchased pretty cool hipster or casual wear.

What I did was lurk in their second room with vinyls, books, comics, manga and larger furniture. It is amazing. If you enjoy finding hidden gems or gambling a tight purse with some pretty good eclectic items, this is the place to be. I'm convinced that there is something for everyone. I walked out with some DC Comics, several art books (and one on Aesthetics) for 7 bucks, PLUS the money goes to a better cause. It's not pooled by an imperialist company for operating fees in infesting locations with more stores (read: Walmart).

The staff was courteous. Despite the limited space for a check-out line, I found it very easy to just wander off and look at other things such as table sets or various "found" objects.

As a poor (and hungry) college student, I will definitely be a frequenter at this place. Not only that, but in regard to fashion, at least the random person walking towards me on the sidewalk won't have the same shirt!

    Love.

You might have to dig a bit to find the gems on the clothing racks, but there are gems, and why go to a thrift store if you don't feel like digging?

    And, gems are wicked cheap.

Boomy's is first on the list whenever I need something for my house, too -  furniture, decor, or kitchen stuff. Can usually find it. Way less stressful and way more unique than Ikea.

Another bonus - very easy to donate, and they'll give you a receipt for a charitable donation - yay, bigger tax refund.

    Yep. Love.

Ok Booms, you won me back. Perhaps I knew your old batch of employees too well (they were 75% honest to goodness assholes!) or I'm softening up in my old age. But the people who work in the back, receiving and sorting, are so freaking sweet and nice now! And since that was pretty much my only complaint, I guess you get my vote now. I mean, it's still dirty but it's a thrift store, what do you expect? The staff have cleaned up a bit, which gives me hope that showering is coming into style for hipsters. Please, if you are a cool kid, spread the word that showers are the only way to prove your hipness. Showering is the new fixie.
I've only gone into the store a couple of times since we parted ways a few years ago, so maybe those hipster fucks still work in the retail part of the store. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I've recently rediscovered the thrift shop gene in me (thanks Mom!), and a friend reminded me about Boomerangs in JP.

I scored a fantastic set of Williams-Sonoma appetizer dishes this weekend, completely intact, and chip-free. This particular set had been on my someday list for quite a while, so I am thrilled with my find.

A few weeks ago, I picked up a couple of Working Glasses (great glasses for which you can get covers at Crate and Barrel). They work for both drinking and food storage, and I have quite a stock of them.

I find the store orderly, and full of interesting, well curated items. It's completely across town from me, but worth the trip. And it's just down the block from a Goodwill store (and a quite nice one at that). So, two birds, one stone.

On my last trip, I donated a couple of items of furniture...I'm definitely keeping Boomerangs in mind for future donations.

My favorite thrift store, conveniently right up the street from me. I go here once ever couple of weeks, and always come back with some awesome books ($0.50-$3) and sometimes some good video game deals. They're very easy to bring donations to as well...just pull up in the back and they'll take your stuff. I believe they deliver/pickup furniture as well in their truck. Anyways, if you're in JP, come by and check this place out. Worth it.

Also, their window displays are awesome too. :)

Really cool place. They have a great selection of household goods like mugs, plates, silverware, etc. I picked up a beautiful container for coffee that looks brand new. I also scored a plate that I was considering paying full price for at Pier 1. Yay! My only complaints: some of the mugs and dishes were chipped. They should check these items frequently and edit out the broken stuff. Also, some things did not have prices on them. I might have bought the stuff if it did but I didn't want to bother to ask. Nonetheless, I'll be back. The staff person at the checkout even wrapped up my plate and coffee container.

First off, I want to say that I LOVE the ethics, storefront aesthetics, atmosphere and wide selection of items offered at Boomerang's. Nearly all of my own and my husband's work clothes (skirts, collared shirts, slacks, etc.) and other items have been purchased here at a very reasonable price, and I couldn't be happier to avoid entering a mall or chain store while simultaneously supporting a local business that in turn benefits AIDS Action Committee!

The only reason I am giving 3 instead of 5 stars is because of a problem I encountered here that probably plagues all thrift shops in the city, but that is (somewhat understandably?) kept hidden from the public - BEDBUGS. While perusing Boomerangs' clothes racks earlier this year I found a large adult bedbug scampering across a dress. When this specimen was quickly shown to the staff and manager they said that they were unfamiliar with bedbugs, and that they had never had a problem with them in the store. The manager did express concern, but my husband and I asked that they contact us with an update of any treatment or protocol they might implement in their store to deal with the problem and we never heard from anyone.

It took me several months to decide that I should write this review, because in all honesty there is probably little Boomerangs can do to rid or prevent themselves from spreading this scourge. But as someone who has been through the expensive, toxic and time-consuming ordeal that is involved in ridding one's home of these insidious creatures, I write this as a public service announcement to those who frequent Bommerangs or other used clothing and furniture shops because there are precautions that buyers can take. I have not completely boycotted Boomerangs or similar establishments, but have adjusted my shopping habits as follows:

    1) I don't buy furniture because adult insects can survive for a year without feeding and typically reside and lay their eggs in the crevices of wooden furniture, and they go dormant in the winter - so even "safe" furniture can harbor them.

    2) I leave all clothing tightly sealed in the plastic bags they provide until they can be put into a dryer on high for 1 hour - this kills any bedbugs or eggs, and even delicates can safely be put in the dryer if not wet.

This review may come off as a paranoid rant, but I reiterate that its purpose is to prevent the spread of these awful insects by educating fellow Boomerangs patrons.

Like Yi-Hwa H and Doris K I organize my closet by color, but in retail size is definitely the way to go; fewer decisions to make if something is not my size. This place is by no means the chaos of most Salvation Army stores but expect to pay between $6 and $18 per article. There's no break on the household goods either; I bought three simple frames and spend $16 dollars.

The most laudable is their collection of baubles and jewelry. They get the overstock from Urban Outfitters and have a great selection of used and vintage jewelry which you'll get for a decimal point of most antique stores.

Less than three less than three.

Come on people - how can you give less than four stars to a shop that benefits charity?! I mean really.

Took my first, much anticipated, visit to Boomerang's this past weekend.  And man was I psyched - for a Saturday morning the shop was pretty packed, a surefire good sign.

Selection is pretty standard thrift store fare with the surplus items that other reviewers have mentioned.  While I got giddy over the $6 shoes, and some really hideous sweaters, my fabulous style guru, Luqueen, checked out some absolutely amazing and awful prom dresses.

The coup de grace though? Finding peach tinted, painted, margarita goblets for $5.  Tacky and awesome.

Love this place - have gotten some incredible finds here in a few different genres.  Besides cheapie tchatchkehs, have gotten some pretty rad clothes for 5-7 bucks a pop, 4 gorgeous curtain panels at 3 bucks a pop, and some lovely artwork to grace my walls at 3-10 bucks apiece.  highly, highly recommend - it's a thrift store with a lot of character, and though in general boston thrift stores surprise me either by how gross they are or by how much they charge, boomerangs is right where it should be price-wise and still has a relatively clean feel.  i dare you not to find something awesome!

also - i agree with jacob j - though i imagine he was referring to the laydehs, there's some handsome hip dudes working up in this jam!

100% of the proceeds go to the programs and services of AIDS Action Committee! For more info, visit http://www.aac.org/boo....

Yes, the prices are a little higher than other resale stores, but it sure beats paying full price at Urban Outfitters (and Urban Outfitters, by the way, donates a huge portion of their overstock to the Boomerangs racks).

You'll find cute vintagey and trendy clothes here. It's also great for costumes, housewares, and even furniture. Think of your purchase as a donation-with-benefits, and go nuts!

The fact that 100% of the proceeds go to the AIDS Action Committee would be reason enough for me to love Boomerangs as much as I do, but the truth is, the shop has a lot to offer. They have a great assortment of reasonably priced clothing, both vintage and modern, some pretty sweet jewelry, and your usual assortment of household items that range from the average to the awesome.

As with most thrift stores, Boomerang can be hit or miss, but I have lucked out on several occasions and found some really wonderful, inexpensive items. Case and point: I once bought a cookie jar from here that was designed to look like a grass hut, complete with a straw roof. And a mug that depicts cartoon rabbits getting it on.

Also, if you're ever in need of purchasing a hard cover edition of Jonathan Franzen's "The Corrections," this is your one stop shop. For reasons I can't explain (that book was the bomb!), they always have several in stock.

Without taking anything else into consideration, you can't help but give this store props for the fact that the proceeds benefit charity (the AIDS Action Committee). If it weren't for this fact, this place would probably be a two-starrer for me but that's an automatic bonus.

The selection of apparel is a little too haphazard for me. I sometimes feel like it's a bit too much of grungy thrift for me to handle, with stains on a bunch of things I've seen and a complete lack of discernible organization, or at least one that makes sense to me. Type of items is lumped together, e.g. dresses, tops, bottoms etc, but you really have to be ready to dig in deep and get yourself a bit dirty (both metaphorically and sometimes literally) to go on a real scrounge-find here.

I generally prefer other stores like Poor Little Rich Girl, The Closet, even Urban Renewal for that kinda thing. I guess you could find some treasures in here but it could be a long, hard, often fruitless search and tiring to boot. You just really have to be in the mood for thrifting here, I guess. But like any thrift/consignment store, their 'stock' changes regularly so sometimes you'll have crap trips, other days you'll have great ones. I wasn't lucky enough to see the illustrious Urban Outfitters overstock. Drat!

You can't deny that it's cheap though. Super cheap! Clothing for as low as $3, jewellery from $1-15, purses and clutches for $4-10, $2-3 CDs/tapes/records, bits and bobs and thingamyjigs for amounts you could count on just one or two hands (and occasionally some toes). Overall, very cheap.

And yes, oh yes, there are PLENTY of trinkets. Totem Pole teapot, lamp of puppy holding an umbrella, leaf-and-worm ashtray, giant tiger frame, and so on. It's fun to dig around and explore. I saw a cool black silk clutch with gold trim for $5 (but didn't get it in the end), and a bunch of fun jewellery (prob. my favourite part of this store), including a lions-head huge chain for $3 but I refrained since I didn't want to look like I had the MGM lion roaring around my neck, weighing me down. I did walk away with a fabulous shiny onyx-black huge ring though, for $1.05! The staff are really nice and friendly and are lovely to everyone, it seems.

Entered after an excursion to JP Licks.

Scene: A group of wanna be cool sales staff.....Two of them talking about where they went and whom they slept with the night before. The other two talking about M.A.C Barbie lipstick............One guy trying way too hard reading a book, that he never really looked at. One girl putting aside probably the only few pieces in the joint that were decent.

No amount of rock music and over priced average, borderline boring, overstock from popular stores will validate this joint as real thriftin.

Two stars because I got to live vicariously through the two girls talking about getting laid and partying. Cool.

After hearing RANTS and RAVES about this place, I could not go much longer without checking it out, so I headed over with my boyfriend today who wanted to get a few spring items but had little cash to spend. I must say I was not as blown away as I was expecting, but then again, its a vintage store in a hipster area of Boston that so it was probably very picked over on  Saturday afternoon when I visited.

    Things I really liked:

The actually organize things is size order, and like for guys jackets put the size on a tag you could easily see while browsing (YEAH!!)

They carry stuff from Urban Outfitters that got rejected, cool cuz then they have LOTS of an item instead of just one (which can be good for group halloween costumes)

Dishware - they seemed to have LOTS of intact cute sets

They tell you what is wrong with stuff - my boyfriend was checking out a NICE shirt that we were wondering why it might be there, it said on the tag "spot on lower right" AGAIN YEAH!!! I hate it when I get something home only to find a stain I did not notice

BASIC prices -- all guys collared shirts were $6 ( I guess there was a small group of REALLY nice onces for $15), which just makes it easy because then you don't have to go between the $2 and the $24 dollar one talking yourself into the worse one just because of price.

Their guys blazer section - okay, some 80's looking stuff but that can be fun! They have lots of options

Funny kitch gifts, ones that look NEW! This is not USUALLY something you can find at a vintage store, but again cuz of the Urban deal this place is very cool!

In the end, I really should give it 5 stars but something about the fact that I still think Urban Renewals is SO MUCH BETTER keeps me from doing so. Actually in all fairness I should explain that I LOVE Urban for their Accessories aka Jewelery, Shoes, Purses and Slips which were lacking at Boomerang, but otherwise Boomerang has LOTS of cool stuff!

DONATION: They are uber friendly and accept donations from the back of the store pretty much anytime they are open. The money raised goes towards helping families with AIDS.

First and foremost, the best part about Boomerangs is that its profits go to AIDS Action, which continues to do good work throughout the city on HIV awareness.

Beyond the philanthropy, Boomerangs is also just a solid thrift store. Most striking for me is their enormous commitment to non-clothes: toys, furniture, housewares, electronics, books, and other varied knickknacks. Whereas many thrift places are clothing-focused with incidental other wares, Boomerangs is one of the few clothing-centered places where you could also do some serious furniture/electronics shopping. I didn't make it to the books, but I've definitely seen some storefront bookstores with smaller selections.

In terms of the "men's section", I think Boomerangs' strength is in business casual. There are tons of department store khakis and polos for dirt cheap. It's rare that one could say that about a thrift store. Or maybe I only say that because little of the casual stuff was in my size (meaning there are a lot of larger sizes here)... which I could easily assess because everything is organized by size! There is also a good selection of both business shirts and those shirts that people sometimes think are business appropriate but are more like club attire. (Is there a word for that?)

Overall, Boomerangs seems like one of those stores that would be good to peruse casually when I need random odds and ends. Too bad I don't live particularly close by...

    Dear Boomerangs,

Thank you for being my second hand sugar daddy when I needed it most.  Your $5 crockpot has fed me heartily through the coldest winter nights.  Your cheapity cheap, fruitful and barely used book selection has caused my brain to triple in size (thanks to the tasteful smarties who often donate).  Your $1 INXS albums have renewed my teen like lust for (rest his gorgeous soul) Michael Hutchins.  And lastly, thanks for providing me a reason to love inanimate objects.  Until we meet again...

    xxoo,
    Robin

    Oh..... YEH!!!!!

This is an amazing thrift store you could totally just get lost in.

The window displays are so artsy and eye catching. The clothes are in good shape. The back area, where all the books and appliances are is really such a great area to browse in (better than barnes and noble!)

The staff is super terrific and always helpful if you have any questions.

I try to go here before other thrift stores for all those reasons PLUS the location is great. You are right on Center street where they have some of the best restaurants (you really work up in appetite shopping inside of Boomerangs)!!! Also, 100% of the proceeds go to the AIDS  Action Committee - THATS COOL :)

By the way, they opened a new branch in Central Square.  I am in LOVE with their store layout...AND I think they have better quality stuff here than in the JP branch.  Do check it out!

OK, so I have a thing for thrift stores...

But this time I had an excuse!  After going to the pub crawl, I stupidly forgot to charge my phone when I hit the sack, today, at 4 pm, the little battery thing is blinking.  and I need to get a hold of someone later to make plans.

Like they say on CNN, a 'fading cell phone' (whatever that is)

So I go to look for a cheap charger in electronics and find the Gordian knot of chargers.  After pulling wires for 10 minutes I was rewarded with a charger that fit! And for $1 !  Finding an outlet was a different story, but as least I had the charger.

Oh yeah they have other cool stuff too.  I got a paperback of Treasure Island for 27 cents.  How awesome is that?   Cool stuff all around.  Recommended

Oh yeah, I found an outlet later.  Piggy backed to a soda vending machine.  sweet

When I worked in JP, I went to Boomerangs at least twice a week. One of the things I really appreciate from Boomerangs is their ability to maintain organization in their store. The pants, skirts, sweaters, shirts, are all dived by size and colors. It's easy to look for whatever you need. I've found clothes that look like they've never been worn from JCrew, Banana Republic, Express, etc.

Beyond clothes, they have books divided by genre. If you're one of those people who is always racking up library fines or likes to own the books, try buying used ones.

It's a great place to find the decorative things for your home. I've started collecting unique glass vessels like milk bottles, weird vases etc. I've come across quite a few here including one that is hand blown glass for only 8 bucks!

While Boomerangs is a great place to find a deal, it's part of an amazing organization. The proceeds go to AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. AIDS Action focuses on preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing treatment for those already infected. So go to Boomerangs, buy things you don't really "need" and know that you're making an impact.

So I was disappointed, but sometimes I hold things to really high standards. Snobby me!

Perhaps I didn't give this place a chance because I was on a mission but after a very nice message from the manager, I feel bad and want to retract some of my statements.

I will give this place another try after the concern from the manager for customer satisfaction. Also, i did not know that some of the proceeds go to charity. In that case, this is a-ok with me. So you get a 3 star "A-OK" update.

I went here for the first time this weekend and I was cheerfully surprised...it's nice and bright in there, and not drab and boring and dull as urban renewal...it's got a bit of charm...i love rummaging around for gems, and I def. found some cool stuff...my friend came along with me and she bought a bread   holder thing, a bunch of housewares, candle holders, and a bunch of other stuff for 25 bucks!!! I was too lazy to go thru all the clothing but they've got a good selection of junior's sized items...a lot of urban outfitters leftovers that still have the original tags and prices on them...when I thin kof cheap and good finds, this is the type of place I wanna be...

the staff is also really friendly and u don't feel weird when u have to see stuff in the cases...i bought 2 bracelets: one a silver cool cuff for  6 bucks, and currently i'm into hot pink, so i bought a bangle for 2 bucks...a planet asia record with talib kweli for 1 buck and a funky medusa-inspired framed drawing for 3 bucks!!!....they have really cool jewelry at super cheap prices...i think the most expensive thing i saw was for 20 bucks...

they also have a lot of furniture that goes fast and a lot of random bags and purses...i'm a big fan of triple 5 soul and I see that they sold some for 6 bucks!!

def. check it out if ur around JP..it's the funnest place on the block!

Ridiculously good selection of popular fiction for $2 in softcover, $3 in hardcover?  That's more than enough for me...

Next time I'll try not to let the book section calling my name stop me from checking out the blur of cute sweaters and dresses I saw while beelining to the back of the store.

What do you want me to say...?

That I thought about giving it four stars instead of five?

That I'm not there at least three times a week for no other reason to mosey around and pretend I'm looking for "bookends"?

That I haven't found great books and clothes and other weird bric-a-brac?

That I don't secretly hope someone is zany enough to throw out the vinyl of "the langley schools music project" as I'm rummaging through the used records?

Foolish. I won't say any of that.

On another note if you ever see a bad-ass painting of a ship at sea there let me know, I always thought one of those would look cool above my bed.

The thing I love about Boomerangs that I don't find in most stores is that it is organized mostly be size!!! OH MAN DOES IT GET ANY BETTER!?!?!?!

There is nothing more overwhelming or frustrating than going through racks upon racks of stuff that doesn't fit you. It's stupid and a waste of my time. Boomerangs keeps my time management skills in check. Hooray! The prices are really good too and, unlike Goodwill, they price individual items accordingly.

They have a ton of fun and interesting clothes as well as really cool household items and a TON of books. All the proceeds go to AIDS patients.

I love rummaging around thrift stores to see what kind of totally awesome stuff I can find, and this place is never lacking!

Granted, it has an advantage, being in JP...where the weird, indifferent, yuppies, and scene kids all converge in one area, there is bound to be some super sweet stuff!

I often go here to buy my candles, because I can't justify (being kinda broke and all) spending $10-20 on candles when ever I go out. And when I go here, I find candles that HAVE NEVER BEEN LIT! It's like a Christmas miracle ;)

They have an awesome music selection, something for everyone. They have a huge clothing section, I always love to look through the coats for something expensive that someone has discarded. And they have a pretty decent furniture selection, given that it's all donated.

Shop here, browse the aisle's, enjoy the strangeness :)
