This place is probably fine for anyone under 25.
Friendly service. Burger was ok, a little on the salty side, sauteed mushrooms so oversalted as to be inedible. Onion rings are beautiful, a generous cut. The onions inside are tender & sweet, but the batter is ruined because you can taste how bad the oil is that they cook it in. -

A burger/salad joint that serves also south western food. It's probably similar to a Chilli's.
Don't stand by the door waiting for a host to come by and seat you or you'll look stupid. There's a sign that reads "Our hostess ran off with a patron, please seat yourself". There are menus at the table. When you're ready to order you pick up what resembles the "bat phone"[1] and start reciting your order. While you're waiting you can stop by the soda machine and load up on a suicide[2] or another drink of choice. When your food is ready the phone rings and you walk up to the counter where it is magically waiting for you. Yes it seems as if the owner doesn't want to pay for waiters or a glorified fast food joint. It's a great place to go to for burgers and fries. This is where I had my first and favorite chicken Caesar burger. I'll always remember this place for that... and the bat phone.

Very bad food with the atmosphere of a bad burger joint in the 80s.
I've been "Back to the Boomerang" about a handful of times and never once enjoyed any of it. The prices are okay I guess, but I just can't get over how lacking their food is.
Likes: Fairly priced menu options.
Dislikes: I doubt there's anything fresh in the entire restaurant, and everything is deep fried and/or very greasy. The place is a total dump inside, to the point that it is disgusting to even pick up the greasy finger-printed phone with which you place your order. If you do go, do NOT have their chili cheese fries - just disgusting and absolutely no flavor. They have all you can eat chicken fingers on Monday (?maybe Tuesday?), but their fingers are about as nasty as they come. Johnnie's is far better, and that's coming from somebody who is not a big fan of Johnnie's at all. The place really just has no upside to it.
Overall, the Boomerang is like a 50s style burger joint met a nasty dump of a bar and had a child. -

They should make it a rule that only people who have been on this website for a while and actually have a profile can write reviews. Donovan's review is a crock of sh*t. If you look at his reviews, most of them are written on the same day and he seems out to bash places. He thinks Boomerang's food is bad but likes Cheddars?????? LAUGH MY F&CKING ASS OFF. No abbreviation there.
Okay, I'm done with that twit. Now for my review:
What a fun place!!!! We went on Sunday after church. I loved the sign that the waitress ran off with the cook so seat yourselves. haha...too cute. I also liked that you ordered your food by placing a "call" to order and they call back when the food is ready. It didn't take long for our food to be prepared. I ordered the southwest burger (freakin huge!) the hubby got a burger too, not sure which one. The BFF got the reuben with a baked 'tato. The kiddos got pizza and grilled cheese. All of our food was delish, seasoned and cooked well. Great place...the only thing is the ladies at the bar/cashier area need to smile a little. They looked like they hated their jobs, but I guess it was b/c they were in the middle of Sunday "rush hour". I'll be coming back! -

I love Boomerang! I've been there a million times with my family, and I always order the chicken fingers. They're so yummy! I think on rare occasion I've tried the quesadillas, but generally I stick with my norm. The onion rings ALONE warrant a rep for this place. They're the best I've ever eaten in my entire life, and I've had lots of onion rings. NOWHERE else compares. That, plus other fun things (like ordering by phone at the table, haha) make Boomerang a unique and cool place to eat.

Boomerang is a fun place and the food is good (not great but good). The kids love to place everyone's order via the phone. Dh loves the Sooner decor. I like the low cost and that Boomerang supports the local schools by having special fundraising events in conjunction with the school. We are repeat customers!

For the price, you would assume you'd get a quality burger and sides. But if I wanted soggy fries and burger buns, I'd try to make my own. I drive by this place all the time and decided to try it with my girlfriend.. we were very disappointed at the lack of quality and taste. Probably never going to go there again!
